Comments of Spicy Sichuan Adelaide by China Chilli
Y. H. C.
Even though it's early lunch time, I want to drink a lot of beer. Personally, I liked the perfect combination of lamb skewers, spicy noodles, and sour beef soup.

One of our favourites, so you'll find our family there on more Friday nights than not!
The manager is fabulous! Warm and welcoming, basically knows our order to the letter by now, and calmly keeps everything running perfectly for all guests, upstairs, downstairs and in between!
Definitely recommend 👌

Great food, Great portion, very satisfied.
Cons: It takes soo long to come out...but I guess it's okay since the food is yum
Maybe not the right place if you're super hungry, but otherwise, just need to wait a bit
W. S. T.
Amazing restaurant serving really authentic Sichuan cuisine- servings is big at reasonable price. Could order more and do take away for lunch and dinner next day😂😅. Great atmosphere and the food standard is as good as SYDNEY Sichuan food. I would recommend 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 By the way, the chef is inspiring and nice!!

HOT POT BUFFET $39.80 per person
Customer service is not good like before. Food is ok but not high quality. Meat doesn’t look and taste as fresh as other places. Overall, food is normal but you’ll get sick of it after a while. I personally think this is quite expensive, other hotpot restaurants are cheaper

This comment is for Szechuan food (ground floor) only. I do normally not come back to the same restaurant as I would like to explore something new, but China Chilli is the only one I have been visited over dozens of times in the past few years since I lived in Adelaide. It used to be negatively impacted by a very rude female manager, but since that lady has gone, this restaurant is back to my top recommendation for very authentic Szechuan food. And the food never fails me at any time.
A. M.
Very yummy and spicy food.
吕.
We have returned several times. Authentic Sichuan cuisine.
T. V.
The food is very good, delicious. Staffs are friendly and quick service in a busy night.
S. L.
Don't know why this place was not flat out
Understandably short staffed due to covid
Reasonably priced both food and drink
Extremely tasty good servings
Bao chicken
Sweet n sour pork belly
Chilli and pepper Chicken
Highly recommended
N. G. B.
The hot pot here is good and the dry hot pot is good too. Just the prices here is not that accommodating for me. Love the sour plum juice btw...
J. D.
my favourite restaurant in the city, Wok-Fried chilli vegetables, I order it every time as it's the bomb
C. L.
amazing mapo tofu. the best i have had in adelaide so far!
W. W.
Full on Szechuan style , chilli we wanted chilli we got . Nice setting , great food , spicy ,aniseed, great service . Waitress was very accommodating. They even had longnecks of Tsing Tao beer . Highly recommended.

Went for lunch with family. The flavours were very unique. It was not quite my style of food but the male staff served us quickly and accommodated us to all our extra requirements (changing tables, swapping some sets of chopsticks for forks, and dealing with our indecisive ordering). The waiter even went out of his way to let us know the 6 servings of fried rice would be too much and 3 would suit us better. I rate them high based on this service alone.
P. S.
Very unique high-end Chinese cuisine. I can see that it may confuse some diners as the flavours are very unique - this is not your standard takeaway fare that has been altered to suit Westerners. However, it should not be missed as a dining experience. It is one of the few restaurants I have been to where the served dishes looked as good, if not better, than the photos in the menu.
D. L.
Great atmosphere, I was expecting the food to be average but was surprised at how fresh and unique the flavour was.
M. K.
Wanna taste Sichan food? Go for it. Make sure you have coke on your hand tho

Had hotpot buffet during August 2020.
Pros: Prices were fair for type and quantity of food available, considering they had pig brains as a buffet item.
Cons: The tables were quite cramped next to other tables so i doubt much social distancing measures were taken here despite it being during covid. Service was also sub-par as it took 15 minutes or more for frozen lamb/beef slices to be delivered to the table, highly likely due to how understaffed they were. Sichuan soup was very spicy, they should have an option of how spicy guests would like them to be (i.e. like how hot and spicy kitchen does it). Bigger tables should also be given considering the hotpot takes up half the table and made eating quite difficult with the little space left.

We have been few times at this restaurant. Great service. Nice and trendy ideas of having menu on an iPad. Friendly staff. Yummy food. Deep fried chilly chicken is not as good as some others; example Hot-Spicy Kitchen can do it way better !
But overall great place.
R. R.
Had a great meal here, will definitely be going back. The egg plant was the biggest surprise it was delicious, the plum juice was also great. The chilli chicken was a bit of a waste of money with tiny bits of chicken covered in tones of dried chillies that none of us could eat and dumplings were pretty average too. But everything else serenely made up for it.
M. S.
The hot pot is great, nice and tasty with plenty of options.
The staff are normal for the Chinese restaurants here, no such thing as service with a smile, but the food makes up for it. Having said that, we have never strayed from the hot pot menu, so I can't comment on their other dishes.....

authentic Chinese Chilli Restaurant in adelaide.
P. L.
Authentic Chinese Sichuan food. Friendly and polite staff. Recommend the Spicy lamb ribs or Chilli Lobster.
W. N.
My favourite place for hotpot. The waiter who served us was very nice and helpful in assisting me as I didn't want pepper in my broth. Some staff were very quick to respond, did their job very well and were also very attentive and nice
S. C.
A very reasonable and well-presented Chinese dining experience that is usually humming with locals, China Chilli is a good choice for lunch or dinner. The food is designed for sharing, and the serves are generous so bring a group if at all possible. The 'Chilli' in the name isn't just for show either; expect spiciness across the menu!
R. A. S.
Food was great and the manager was very attentive. Definitely coming back!
G. R.
Is this the hottest food in Adelaide?
Maybe. But the answer is in the name.
Plenty of (very hot) a la carte dishes - but the difference is, they all have individual flavours and not just heat.
Also do a mean hotpot.
D. B.
This is a lunch time favourite for myself and my work mates. Food is ordered using touch screen tablets. It's an extensive menu and kind of daunting, but I've worked out a few favourite dishes.
A. A.
Beautiful restaurant with Chinese decor. Food is tasty and portion sizes are large. Staff seemed friendly and happy. Good place to hang out with friends.
T. P.
Authentic Sichuan cuisine. Variety menus to choose from vegetarian, seafood, chicken, lamb and noodle. I loved beef tendon stir fried with chilli.
A. N. G.
For those seeking genuinely hot - HOT - Chinese food, this is the place. Well-priced, too, and tasty dishes. Service wasn't anything to write home about, but all-up? A good bet.
j. c.
Lovely, unusual, fresh flavours. Different from normal Australian Chinese restaurants. Would love to go back and try other dishes.
J. M.
The food is delicious and staff are friendly except the front desk lady who might be the manager. I would give a five star ranking if her attitude is a lot better.
K. _.
I'm addicted to this restaurant. It can be a bit pricey, but the food is amazing. The lunch specials are also great.
T. W.
Decent food, slightly pricy for serving size on some dish, and a 2% surcharge for card payment?! Given what's currently happening with covid?
V. D.
Authentic Chinese good, didn't have the hotpot. Delicious but the spicy dishes are HOT! 🔥
J. L.
Second time in Adelaide to sing in a concert here and raced to China Chilli for the absolute best szechuan food I have ever had. Love it!
S.
Delicious 🤤
D. H.
10/10. No regrets.

A lot of options if you want hot pot. Haven't tried their dining menu though. Exceptional hot pot to try.

(Translated) The taste is not as delicious as before, and the number of waiters is obviously not enough. Every time there is a request, you have to wait for a long time. The speed of meal delivery is also significantly slower, and the couple's lung slices are not as good as before. The epidemic is not easy for everyone. I hope this restaurant can improve in the future.

味道并没有之前那么好吃,服务员数量也明显不够,每次有点要求都要等很久,出餐速度也明显慢了不少,夫妻肺片也不如以前了。疫情大家都不容易,希望这餐馆以后能改善吧。

(Translated) Their lamb chops are a must, the restaurant sells 300,000 a year, and I don’t want to eat lamb. Boiled beef is also a must-have.

他们家的羊排是一绝的,餐厅每年都卖出30万根,不吃羊肉的我也爱上了。水煮牛也是必点菜肴。

算是比较便宜的火锅了,食材相对粗糙,但是份量还是比较给力的,人均40刀左右
