Walk past it regularly but finally gave it a try. Tried their yum cha menu during Sunday lunch time. Ordered satay tripe, prawn Cheung fun, squid tentacles, scallop dumplings, Chinese chive dumplings and chicken feet. Everything was well seasoned. Nice flavour with the chilli used. Tripe had good texture, not too chewy and did not have strong odour. Dumplings were nice in size and flavor. Service was very attentive at the time (Sunday afternoon). Food came out timely and steaming hot. Will come again and recommend others to try.

One of my favourites.The food is always good and in decently sized serves. Pricing is very fair too. Reasonable corkage for BYO bottled wine. Can get busy at times, so it can pay to book, but it's not essential.

Went to T-Chow last night for dinner. Food and service was outstanding! I rarely eat Chinese as other places I have been to have let me down, but after trying it here I can happily say my opinion has changed. You just need to find the right place :) We ordered the banquet for 4. I was a little on the edge about this as I'm not a huge fan of seafood, and there seemed to be a few dishes with that in it, but the dishes all came out very quick and there were a variety of foods. I was super full after all of the amazing dishes, but then came the deep-fried ice-cream! this was absolutely delicious, it really topped of the meal and I would happily come back just for dessert!!! Also a huge thank you to the manager! he made us feel very welcomed and his happy mood made the whole experience 100 times better! Defiantly recommend this place :)

Would be inclined to give 3.5 stars if possible. A satisfactory restaurant overall, and dishes are decent yet far from commendable. Service is decent and the restaurant is rather large and formal although the chairs are dated, worn and one of them is particularly dirty. Overall acceptable and there are some dishes (particularly the congee) that are good, although overall there are insufficient attributes that rating or overall experience.

Went there using a Groupon voucher today. Entitled 2 people to share any 6 dishes off a wide and varied menu. Had to pay $4 for a pot of green tea which was very reasonable. Service was prompt and cheerful and every dish was delicious. The restaurant was not that busy but that would have been due to the current limitations. I am sure it will get busy again. All in all a great experience and we will go back for sure, with or without a Groupon voucher

Use to to be one of our favourite spot for dinner & yum cha but the place now needs a revamp. The staff, service and food have not been as good lately. All could be improved, food comes out like warm not hot. Still reasonably priced for the servings. Rest rooms could do with a good scrub.

I had seafood toufu hotpot which is lovely! Fresh seafood with subtle taste of chinese wine. Recommend that if you are into hotpot and does not like beef or pork. Tried yam custard which is alright but I think it's over priced. Staff are helpful and food was serviced soon after placing the order.

I have been going to T Chow since the early 1990s, when Mr So made Duck Bone Soup on the Eastern corner of Field Street. While Some things have changed, Moonta Street is a buzz under Jason’s hand. It is no wonder this is secret hot spot along with Ying Chow for people in the Restaurant and Wine Industry, I would guess on a given week night no other Restaurant sees more rare, old and very fine wines on average in Australia. Not long ago we swapped a glass stunning 1955 Portuguese red for a few Grand Cru Burgundies, and that was on a Tuesday night. Food wise, kick off with Salty Fish Rice, Cabbage Rolls (not much Cabbage here, YUMMY), have a debate about chilli or no chilli on the soft shell crab, for some Vegetables garlic bok choy or the beans with pork mince and olives, however most importantly reserve a T Chow duck on arrival. yum yum
