What a fantastic restaurant! It is moody and industrial inside with an open kitchen so you can enjoy the fire. Service was quick and attentive, drinks were wonderful. I loved all of the dishes we ordered, special mention to the crumpets as they were divine. Everything is presented beautiful and were very tasty. Would definitely come back again to try the seasonal things on the menu!

Nice restaurant with great atmosphere which looks ordinary from the outside but interesting interior. Beautiful and delicious food! Huge range of cocktail and wine list. Service slightly off, had to wait for one of the dishes for a long time. Nice and Friendly waiter and waitress. Clean and well maintained. Highly recommended! :)
B. B.
Amazing food and delish wine! Great moody atmosphere. We had the set menu and it was worth every cent. The standout was the crumpet and the sommelier was fabulous. Highly recommend when in Brisbane

Great ambiance, really delicious food, and amazing staff. Must try - smoked lamb ribs- it’s so tender and so yummy! No wonder this place has been voted as one of the best restaurants in Brisbane 2021!😍🤗👍

The food here is outstanding. Everything we ordered blew our minds away. We did not try everything on the menu, but one must must not pass the sourdough bread, the cabbage, and the ice cream.
I’d say that if you are in Brisbane, Agnes is a must visit.

I cannot sing enough praises about this place. Everything from the ambience, to the dark furniture, choice of background music, and just the lively rhythm of the service team - it’s pure theatrical. Heck, they dedicate one person who runs the pass 100% of the time! Then there’s the food - they tickle your taste senses to no end! Portion sizes are actually decent compared to other casual fine dining places! They also have a vibey classy bar area at the back! Highly recommend to try their ‘starters’ and ‘snacks’ items - I tried 90% of them & all of them were incredible! Hats off to Agnes’ chefs & the culinary team!

I wish that we'd loved the experience from end to end. When you enter the dimly lit restaurant, your eyes are drawn to the the flame from their amazing woodfired grills and oven. We were greeted warmly.
Expectations were running high.
We enjoyed the bread, smoked butter and the lamb ribs. As it turned out, these were the only dishes which really hinted at being cooked over, in or near wood fire.
The turbot was perfectly cooked but the sauce, a bit overpowering.
The pork was chewy and small in portion. Our side of carrots looked great but was undercooked.
We didn't stay for dessert.

Loved lunching here. We were welcomed in such a warm and friendly manner. The food and service are next level amazing. Looking to return soon.

What a wonderful experience all round. Staff were exceptional. Cosy and warm ambience on a rainy night. If you can’t get an online reservation give them a call to see if you can get a table in the bar area. Same menu and great atmosphere. Loved it! Hey
N. S.
Thank you to Ben and his amazing team of chefs for a truly memorable evening. The waitstaff including Aidan were also superstars that generally care about their guests. Will definitely be back.
S. B.
Amazing! Such a cool venue with a great atmosphere and tunes to match. The food was outstanding. Absolutely loved the lamb ribs and beef tartare, but honestly could not fault any dish. Will be back for sure.

Duck has to be preordered so you don’t miss out - it was very tender and tasty. Wagyu sirloin was rare so a bit chewy and we didn’t finish it (we didn’t get asked for how it was cooked but assume this is the case for this dish). Vegetable dishes were delicious especially the cabbage and potatoes. The carrots and asparagus were nice however some pieces were undercooked.
The cocktails were delicious especially the stuntman gin one.
The ambience was very nice.

Been here few times have to admit it’s one of the most atmospheric places in Brisbane - good food, wonderful setting, decent music most importantly! Highly recommend their steak, crawfish, lamb, carrots, burnt cabbage, desserts! However, some other dishes can be quite salty or not my type. So I’m looking forward to new menu and trying out more

No electricity, no gas!!
Hided it in a small street, Agnes open its door to show you a different and unique experience, they don't use electricity and gas!! The food is amazing, every single dish was delicious.
The Lamb was something exceptional, delicious is not enough to describe this dish, we highly recommend it, as the others dishes that were delicious.
The service was great too, we ordered a wine but this was finished but a blonde girl (unfortunately we don't remember her name) suggested us another great wine and we really liked it.
They just spotted on in every single thing, the food, the service and the ambience.
We concluded our wonderful dinner at the terrace, enjoying the beautiful view and our dessert.
We highly recommend this restaurant, and we'll be back soon for sure.
Thank you Agnes for the amazing experience.

Agnes is the best restaurant that Brisbane has to offer. The food is amazing, fresh, seasonal and dishes are inventive. The wines are awesome and match the food. We have been there 4 times in last 6 months and each time was fabulous. The staff are great and very knowledgeable in their food and wine offers. We are booked again next month. You must try this restaurant if you are into the best produce and the most eclectic dishes all cooked on fire!
B. B.
Amazing food and delish wine! Great moody atmosphere. We had the set menu and it was worth every cent. The standout was the crumpet and the sommelier was fabulous. Highly recommend when in Brisbane

Exceptional experience, great food. Would strongly recommend the dry aged Angus sirloin, it comes with a peppercorn seaweed dry rub which I found exceptional.

Absolutely excellent food, service and atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and the building is amazing also! So glad Brisbane has come of age with fantastic restaurants like Agnes!
M. B.
A really amazing dinner experience with great staff and fabulous food. We had the smoked potato flatbread (yum!) and waffle for snacks, the beef tartar and the eggplant for starters, the saddleback pork and the falls farm oak Lettuce for mains. Then finished with the soft chocolate and stout ice cream. The stand outs were the beef tartar which was so tasty, and surprisingly the salad, that goat curd dressing is to die for. The pork was a bit disappointing as it was quite tough. But the delicious dessert made up for it.
I had a lovely French Malbec, which I didn't know existed, and we had a few cocktails at the bar afterwards. Overall it was a 5 star experience and I can't wait to go back 😀
J. G.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The waiter expertly guided us helping us make the best choices for our party of three. The smokey flavor of the cooking and interesting middle eastern inspired flavors (my interpretation) was absolutely sensational. It's a share style menu, not too pricey, and always crowded, even mid afternoon the restaurant was bustling. Well done team.
S. D.
Great experience. Food was great. Agnes charged me $75 dollars extra on my bill. Notified me that exact day to fix their mistake. Refund process was very smooth.
B. O.
AMAZING! Food was delicious and I'm glad we managed to save room for dessert! Wine was beautifully suggested by one of the team and did not disappoint. Looking forward to our next experience here and be looking to go back to the wine cellar for a beautiful, cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

Dined there 2 weeks ago.The food cooked on the fire brought out all the flavours. The smoked butter, carrots, lamb , Quail, potato flat bread etc was so good. Amazing experience. Fantastic service and were looked after well Great choices of wine . Dined in the bar area. Great atmosphere too👌🏽
R. C.
Service 10/10 (Sophia was really attentive and after she finished her shift another server took over didn’t catch her name but she was very lovely too, thanks ladies )
Food 100/10 no gas no electricity, fire only, we had an amazing experience at Agnes for sure, we love Honto but I think we found another new favorite restaurant.
Vibe 10/10
Very funky environment and love the open kitchen. Downstairs bar is super cool as well, Defo come here a little bit early to enjoy some pre-drinks while waiting for our tables.
Drinks 10/10 never had a sloe gin and tonic made so beautifully.
We had Chicken tail tonight, super tender and the pickle help cut through some fat so made the dish super light.
Blue fin tuna toro literally melt in your mouth and mackerel soy was the perfect match. The Smokiness of the tuna was muah 🤌🏻
Wagyu was the highlight of the night for sure.
Thanks Agnes, we will be back !
M. H.
Loved the experience. The fires, smells of different woods burning, food cooking, ambience and of course, the menu! Agnes impressed my Sydney friends, and that's not easy to do! Went up to the rooftop bar and checked out the private dining room. Didn't have time to experience the downstairs cellar, next time!
T. N. (.
Agnes has an open dining space and an open kitchen. Fire and smoke from the kitchen are visible from every tables but the space isn’t smelly nor smokey. It has a modern industrial interior design with plenty of black color and exposed old bricks.
We were advised the perfect amount of food for two to share is 2 snacks, 2 starters and 1 main. We did order that plus one additional snack and a dessert at the end. We were full but not overly. Their mains are very substantial and meaty. Take away is available if you can’t finish all your food.
Every single dish, including the dessert, is very delicious. The flavour combinations work in each dish. My favourites are the octopus, cabbage and the mango dessert.
Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Didn’t have to wait for long for the first dish and the subsequent dishes are served at a comfortable pace. Empty dirty plates are whisky away. Tables are cleaned promptly.
I’m satisfied and impressed with the dining experience at Agnes, well done. Now, am trying to book for my next visit...
C. B.
Absolutely beautiful and overwhelming environment for the senses, moody and dark, yet inviting, with delicious smells filling the restaurant.
The food was delicious, no doubt about that. You will definitely enjoy the food here especially if you like smokyness, and you won't walk away here and still be hungry.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, we accidentally spilt a drink and the waiter was there immediately to help us clean and bring a brand new drink free of charge.
Agnes has big hype around it, with being known for high prices, and extremely early reservations that need to be made to get a spot. What disappointed us a bit was the rush of the evening. We were 4 people getting together after quite some time and had a lot of catching up to do. But the rush to order food and keep eating the food without a bit of a break wasn't for us. We barely finished a dish, sometimes we didn't, then suddenly the next dish would arrive, we didn't finish and then was asked to move to make space for the next table.
I understand their reservations are very strict, but felling rushed is never a great feeling.

This is undoubtedly my favourite restaurant in the world. I have been multiple times and it consistently exceeds my expectations. The decor, ambience and service is outstanding. The food, however, is what sets it apart from the rest. The ingredients are premium and are always prepared to perfection. The food is also very reasonably priced given the aforementioned experience. This is, bar none, the best restaurant anywhere.
D. S.
Next level food, amazing service and perfect atmosphere for any occasion, cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!!!
A. K.
Best restaurant in Brisbane hands down! Total foodgasms all around with every dish we had the pleasure of tasting. We had oysters, tartare, quail (The quail was pretty much the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, ever!) the wagyu flap for main with heirloom tomato salad omg so delish! Enthusiastic, friendly service and moody ambience with open kitchens and flames created the perfect setting for my husbands boozy birthday lunch! Finished up at the wine bar for some Smokey whisky and Amaretto sours. Mmmmmmmm mmmmm so good! Can’t wait to go back!
B. D.
Everything was amazing from the cocktails to the dessert and everything in between. It wasn't cheap and it took 6 months to get a seating but it was well worth the wait and price. I'd go again in a heartbeat.
A. F.
Had the best late lunch experience here yesterday. We have dined at Asador Extebarri in Spain so our expectations were very high for this cuisine. Did not disappoint. We did not choose a main and instead sampled most of the snacks and some starters. Everything was perfect. Exquisite food, awesome wine list, professional and attentive service in the most relaxing and moody of atmospheres. Retired to the rooftop bar for dessert next to the warm braziers to watch the sun set on the city then back to the main bar. Can't wait to share with our friends.
J. H.
Wonderful experience! We were there to catch up with a son-in-law visiting from London and shared snacks and starters in the downstairs bar. The food was all imaginative and interesting. They make the most standard ingredients taste completely new: the bread! The charred carrots! And yes, fancy stuff too: spanner crab donut!!! Wow!
We loved the sommelier’s recommendation for a taste adventure
And the service was just right: helpful, attentive as a supportive background to a social event.
You know those times at a table when everyone takes the first taste and there’s that moment of silence because it’s so good and you’re so glad to be right there sharing the meal and everyone chats and is happy. That’s what it’s like the whole way through.
Thank you to the whole team that creates this deeply satisfying experience, in a seemingly effortless way.
J. M.
We have been fortunate to dine at some amazing restaurants and we were very surprised by the amazing food available at Agnes. The food and service does live up to the hype.
The service is attentive with out being overbearing and the wine and whisky selection is very extensive and our wait staff were very helpful with advice on making a perfect selection. We ordered two mains and a desert and the serves were overwhelming. The one improvement that I would suggest is allowing diners to take leftovers home as the serves are large and I’m still getting cravings for the lamb neck.
Overall the food, service and ambience made our first time at Agnes a very memorable dining experience. I cant wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu.

We visited Agnes Restaurant on Friday night and the whole experience was fantastic.
From as soon as we arrived the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.
The food was definitely up there with the some of the best I have had, and the smoked flavour that most of the dishes have given the unique wood fired oven really makes the menu and the food standout.
Dishes that we ordered included the sourdough with smoked butter, the scallops, hay roasted mussels, the duck, the pork, the potatoes, the apple and raisin crumble and also the raspberry mille feuille.
All the food had amazing flavour and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Definitely a highly recommended restaurant.
S. C.
Food is great, service is great, good vibe. Except they don’t provide high chair if you want to bring your bubba to the restaurant.
D. T.
We had an excellent dinner at Agnes to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The food was exquisite, the ambience excellent, and the service second to none. Huge compliments to all the staff on maintaining such a high standard, especially Sharia (?sp), who provided excellent table service and advice. We cannot wait to come back!
S. J.
The restaurant is a large open space with a long bench separating the kitchen from the dining tables. Sparse lighting barely held back the darkness which made the flares from the flaming grills all the more exciting.
The Set Menu provided a delicious variety of items with ample amounts to leave us feeling plump and satisfied.
We were very well looked after by staff and rarely waited for anything.
I would happily return and experience a new menu.
C. B.
A beautiful welcome, gorgeous food the flatbread and peas were lovely. The lamb to die for and the Mille feuille the lightest I’ve ever tasted. Thank you for a lovely experience
K. P.
Beautiful beautiful food. Gorgeous wine, very expensive but we understood that before we decided to go! They tend to suggest a little more food than necessary though so go easy on the ordering to help save some dollars. You can always order more =] Very atmospheric, very low lighting which was half moody and just a tiny bit disorienting (perhaps that was the wine now that I think about it!)
N. W. L.
Always feel so welcomed and loved at Agnes. Team do an outstanding job to go over-and-above to host and to bring an exceptional experience. Food & wine, wood-fired experience is always delicious and Tristan is an incredible asset to the Agnes team!

Best restaurants in town!
Amazing decor, fresh and high quality ingredients, incredible wine list. Honestly a must go to place in Brisbane. The wait staff are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. It's a perfect place for a special occasion. We ordered the banquet menu for 12 people and we were so full and satisfied.
Highly recommended
T. H.
A wonderful dinner of super tasty food and presented by great staff made for a truly enjoyable evening! Everyone was so friendly and attentive and special call-outs to Carlos who looked after us throughout and the tall gentleman who grew up in Menorca and served us the entrees and later told us about the other Seven Rooms restaurants - rarely have we enjoyed a dinner service so much and we’ll definitely be back!
K. M.
Sat in bar area, great cocktails and food.
Only weird thing was when the waitress asked us to move our own Lamb Rib bones off the plate so she could clear them and leave us with the small plates, it was really weird and awkward. In such an establishment, I would have just gotten new plates.
a real difference from the high knowledge bar staff taking drink orders.
C. T.
Awesome restaurant. Probably our favourite in Brisbane so far. Doesn't matter where you sit. The food and drinks are amazing. Solid 5 star experience
S. S.
This is by far one, if not Brisbane's best restaurant. The service was amazing, the sommelier was wonderful and the food superb. The guidance provided by our waiter on the menu was perfect and allowed us to order the exact amount of food for maximum experience (and perfect amount of food coma). Will be back for sure. 11/10. Highly recommend the sandcrab crumpled. Divine.
C. H.
Ambience and food amazing.
Exceptional service from all team members.
Loved the wine bar area post lunch.
Will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Lovely range of pastries and baked goodies but quite pricey. Finally had the chance to have dinner there, our waitress was very attentive and great ambiance. Had to wait an hr for our table and the wait between meals was also long. Tried the:
• Prawn doughnut - interesting concept, batter was too thick for my liking but overall enjoyable
• Beef tartare - amazing! Bit on the salty side but texture was spongey and burst of flavours
• Harissa quail - cooked well, soft and tender. Wasn't a fan of the sauce
• Wagyu Flat rump - had a different cut as sirloin was sold out. Ours was on the rare side when it was supposed to be medium rare. Nothing spectacular
• Strawberry musk mille feuille - flakey and light. Nice way to finish off the night
J. A.
Genuinely the best restaurant I have been to in Brisbane. The food, the service and the restaurant were all incredible. I would highly recommend the crab crumpet, the turbot and the potatoes! Our waiter (I believe his name was Carlos) was super attentive and very helpful for catering to our dietary requirements.
G. L.
The food was strictly ok, service was good & cocktails were excellent.
Dishes with our feedback
Carrots - undercooked and too cold felt like it was sitting at the pass for too long
Chicken Tail - Too much Turmeric and a tad too much salt
Crab Crumpet - this was good
Lab Ribs - too fatty, I understand lamb ribs do have fat but this was only fat.
Quail - This was the best dish! It was really nice and tender
Roasted Potatoes - these were really good as well, it was like mash potato inside crispy skin!
Steak Tartare - This was ok - mediocre flavour
Tomato and Anchovy side - really good as well!
M. F.
Agnes hosted a group of 4 of us for a late lunch, and we were all very keen to experience what the hype is all about. The staff were exceptional, the food menu varied and exciting, and drinks menu extensive. You will be greeted by the most amazing smelling venue I’ve been to!
We all had some cocktails (loved the mezcal old fashioned) including one of our party having their mocktails which were very good. Our waiter recommended some wine when the bottle we chose wasn’t available - talking us through the options and accomodating a desired price range. There are many different styles of wine including some natural, orange, and pet nat varieties, so it’s worth striking up a conversation with the staff about what to pick.
The food was exceptional. We all had a snack, shared three starters, and two mains. This was plenty of food and we were all satisfied at the end. The dry-aged steak was complex and perfectly cooked and perfectly complimented by the caramelised onions. The harissa spiced chicken was a great contrast and bursting with flavour, love the charcoal flavour imparted by the cooking method. The desserts were not overly sweet or large, we shared them between two of us and it was plenty.
The total cost of our meal was $550 which included several cocktails and 2 bottles of wine. Very reasonable for the quality and experience. Highly recommended!
m. h.
The most amazing restaurant in Brisbane. Have been here several times, including hiring the private room for my birthday in July for 20 people, and have never been disappointed. From the food, drinks, service, and wine recommendations - it's perfect. Already have my booking again for this weekend and can't wait.
L. L.
Such a unique concept right in the heart of Brisbane! Was a great experience and the food was so flavourful. We had a party of 6 which seemed to be the perfect number to order everything off the menu and share. The wine list was extensive and our server had great knowledge of paring. Will be back again to this hidden gem!
S. I.
Everything was AMAZING! The staff were so attentive. The setting is beautiful, makes for a very memorable experience. The food... so so so yummy. We will definitely be back!
S.
visited agnes’s pop up bakery and bar!
went at 6.45AM to queue but everything was sold out apart from the donuts and the cannoli :-( was very disappointed as we saw lots of people walking out with bags and bags of pastries, and we only reached the front of the queue at 10.30AM
the donuts were delicious, the cannolis were unique too! my fav was the cream donut :-)
on another occasion, visited the bar for drinks, but unfortunately due to covid restrictions, we had to order lots of bar food (we were only planning to order 1 snack) to order a drink. this was not made known to us before we ordered the drink. however, the staff were very apologetic and the food was delicious anyway so we were happy :-)
would visit again for the cocktails, but not queue for the pastries as i was very disappointed that day.
B. F.
From snacks, starters, mains to desserts, every single dish was just simply divine!
I’d definitely go back again!
B. M. C.
Amazing. Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Brisbane. This is the second time I’ve been and had a great experience both times. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, exquisite food.
I.
Didn't live up to the hype.
The venue has a lovely smokey atmosphere, well laid out, good ambience.
Wait staff were professional and courteous.
Butter bourbon cocktail was delicious.
Bubbles were overpriced.
Prawn doughnuts - I'd say slightly undercooked
Crab crumpet - Undercooked and doughy, good flavour from the crab.
Steak tartare - really really good, best thing we ate, would deffo recommend.
Spring pork - pleasant, nice, tender, crispy crackling
Chicken - pleasant, nice, delicately tender (have had better roast chicken in other venues).
No doggy bag policy (wanted to take home mains to leave room for dessert, sadly couldn't)
Was left underwhelmed by the food, you could tell it had been cooked over fire but nothing stood out as being particularly smoky or chared - perhaps they're going for subtle hints?
For the cost of the meal and the hype surrounding the place I think there are better locations for lunch.
Not at all a bad place by any means, but not grab you by the balls good either (based on the single lunch experience)
H. L. I.
Had a great experience at Agnes! Food, wine, the atmosphere, everything is so perfect. I couldn't ask for more. Plus, their staff were really nice and friendly.
N. B.
Cooking by open flame, atmonspheric lighting, and sleek modern decor. This immediate impression suggests a high class experience, however, they fall into the trap where they believe people come to hear the music over having a conversation with someone two seats away.
A cursory glance over the menu reads more of an ingredients list than a collection of dishes. The waiter recommended sharing a collection of dishes from each of "Snacks, starters and Mains" as the portions are large and rich. The ethos of this establishment is cooking over open flame with no electricity involved. However, this food is so rustic it's basic, expensive ingredients, but could anyone with a BBQ could produce the entire menu. Rather than recommending sharing they should look at their portion sizes because it was vastly underwhelming when the food was shared between 5.
M. S. K.
Such a gem! Cannot fault anything about this place. Food, wine, atmosphere, staff - Everything was just spot on. We were at the bar and did have such a great time. Flavour and balance of dishes we had were second to none.
M. H.
Amazing food, intimate atmosphere, and seriously impressive wine list. Cute little rooftop bar for after dinner drinks and desserts too. Only two small cons though. First, our waitress was a bit too keen to get us started on drinks and food - the wine list is huge, and takes a bit longer time to get through than she was allowing. Second, and related to the first, perhaps to facilitate a more timely selection the owners might like to publish their wine list online? Save for those little things, this place was great! We can't wait to come back and try some more of that amazing menu!
A. B.
Amazing food, great service. Really nice vibe with the open kitchen! Quail was amazing and the best potatoes ever!
T. L.
AMAZING FOOD. Honestly the best food I have eaten in Australia. From the cocktails to starters to dessert, everything was impeccable. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, inventive flavours, just try everything! It was worth the six month wait to get a reservation. Trust me, find a date that's free, even if you have to get the 10pm sitting and enjoy.
R. W.
Good service, great layout/design of restaurant. Potato flatbread with the squish was amazing, as was the Tartare! The lamb was a bit of a let down as it was rubbery/chewy but flavors were nice.
S. T.
The hostesses for the evening were spot on with their service all night and didn't miss a beat! They were super attentive and genuinely keen to ensure everyone was attended to! The food - as always - did not let anyone down and met all of my expectations and then some! I
'm so grateful to have been able to celebrate my very special event in your private dining room and will look forward to coming back again and again and again for dinners and events in the future. Thank you very much!!
M. S.
My ultimate favourite restaurant in brisbane! Food is amazing and price is reasonable! Their sourdough and smoked butter it TDF!
N. (. S.
One of the good 2020 dinning experience so far. We was so excited to try the food here after lined up for their pastries before. Finally Agnes opens the door for us to try ancient skill of cooking over fire is combined with contemporary hospitality to show how simple, great food can be.
Atmosphere : I do in love of this old brick warehouse with open kitchen which you can feel warm with brick and black furnished interior design and aesthetic kitchen.
Food: No electricity. No gas. Just fire. Thank you @nttl who decided to order most of the menu so we were trying different dishes there. I do like how they present the food.
What we had :
-Rock oysters, shallot vinegar and feijoa caper
-Scarlet prawn doughnuts, vinegar, sour herbs
-Beef tartare, smoked chestnut, mushroom, almond, turnip
-Pippies, kipfler potato, onion butter, daikon leaf
-Wood fired cabbage, spiced rye koji butter sauce, smoked egg yolk
-Flame tail snapper, soubise, scampi caviar, broad bean leaves
-80 day aged heritage pork, red love apple sauce
-Aged duck, bread sauce, kumquats
-Radicchio, smoked pumpkin, pepitas, whipped almond
-Blood orange sorbet, goat’s yoghurt, olive oil cake
-Strawberry mille feuille, cherry wood oil
Agnes is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, and lunch Fridays and Saturdays.
Please note last lunch order is at 3:00pm.

Cosy, initimate dining experience -- all the dishes we ordered (entrees, starters, mains, desserts) were delicious! Impeccable service from staff too. Highly recommend seatings near the wine bar for small groups for a more romantic and better ambience!
A. N.
The food and drinks were out of this world but what made the experience even better was the service. Jack was amazing in his choice of suggestions for meals and with drinks to compliment the food. Would 100% recommend Agnes. Their terrace rooftop bar is also worth visiting!
D. V.
Everything was superb; we are still talking about the duck and the little crumpets, the service was impeccable, the table was perfectly placed, and we felt very lucky to be there.... even the bathroom soap was classy! Thank you so much for a delightful evening!
C. G.
We had a party of 7 and we ordered some snacks, mains, sides and starters. The food was very tasty. We shared the dishes between the 7 of us. We ordered: calamari and ribs as starters and wow, stunning. The sides were very nice specially the cabbage. Then we ordered the succulent pig, the duck and the fish. That’s when the disappointment started. Paying $59 dollars for two slices of pork… 🙄 The disappointment was the portions sizes. Paying $100 dollars a head and finishing the night with MacDonalds shows that the portions are way too small. In summary, beautiful restaurant, great service, nice tasting food but way to stingy with portions…
A. R.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the dim lighting was more enjoyable than I thought it would be. The set menu was very well designed and I overall enjoyed the experience.
G. G.
ABSOLUTE LEGENDS! My favourite place in Brisbane now! Food, service, cocktails, wine, atmosphere, interior - all 5*
Very unique place!
S. B.
One of the best meals I’ve had. The food was great but it was the waiter and sommelier that really made the experience memorable. The sommelier took the time to walk us through a number of different win options based on what we were planning to order. She was fun, engaging and very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back soon.
M. P.
Agnes is easily my favourite restaurant in Brisbane at the moment. The food is full of flavour and cooked to perfection on the wood fire oven. The service is attentive. Remember not to dilly dally too much as most of the bookings are limited to 2 hour windows and you could not simply leave without trying the desserts!
F. G.
The most incredible restaurant in Brisbane. Amazing food and unforgettable atmosphere. Take the time to admire the expertise of the chefs.
L. H.
It could have been the hype surrounding the new opening but this meal didn’t live up to expectations. The fit out of the venue is all star and couldn’t have been done better. The staff are attentive and lovely. Ask to see the rooftop to eat your dessert or have a final drink. Beautiful up there.
We got:
Anchovy sandwich
Beef Tartare
Chargrilled cabbage - dish of the night
Lamb neck with flatbread - flatbread was dry and didn’t compliment the lamb.
Potatoes
Tomato salad - absolutely delicious
M. D.
Food was delicious, with generous portions and unique smoky flavours. The customer service was impeccable - even on a busy night, our server took the time to explain the dishes and make recommendations, and the food was served in a timely manner with perfect amount of time between courses. Thank you to Holly and the team for a lovely night out :)
B.
Wow, I didn’t eve take pics… that’s how good it was. Much better than the last time I went over a year ago! Obvs love the dark, smokey vibes.
Y. M.
We felt welcomed upon our arrival by your wonderful staff and professional service continued all evening! The wait staff and sommelier were friendly helpful and knowledgable. The food was excellent! Lamb Ribs, Duck and Mille Fuille the standouts . The ambience of the restaurant was fabulous and we could hear each other across the table which is so important. Well done! If we can get a booking we will return. Thanks for a great evening!
K.
Amazing dining expereince in here. Love the ambience and the foods were just amazing. You gotta try the Angus sirloin if you ever come here. 👍🏻
G. S.
Wonderful gem in Brisbane and best restaurant I have dined in since returning 2 years ago. Congrats on a fantastic space, menu and service.
H. C.
Came to Agnes for a friend’s Birthday dinner and enjoyed the banquet. The ambiance was divine as was the service from the sommelier and waitress. We sat with a view to the kitchen which was exciting to see the chefs in action. Highly recommend visiting if you can manage to make a reservation.
J. S.
What a great experience and amazing staff. The wine list is different, but the sommelier is very knowledgeable and helpful. The lamb ribs are a treat but I think the highlight was the sourdough crumpets. Will definitely go back!
A. D.
Yes the whole night to the cocktails, our waitress (who was french was so attentive and so good and then the food. Absolutely Amazing!! Just wished the duck didn't sell out haha. Cannot wait to go back again sometime. Thank you for a fabulous night.
S. K.
Great ambiance. Everything was great - loved their beef tartare, prawn donut, sourdough, and mille feuille was good - except for the octopus, it was chewy. Overall experience though, it was remarkable.
J. M.
divine. such a beautiful building. food is amazing. special mention to our waitress kat, she was great — super sincere, not annoying, knew what she was talking about. we had to wait quite a while for our food but we didn’t mind because the service was 10/10.
H. A.
Sad to see the pop up bakery closing to make way for their restaurant end of July 2020 but grateful we managed to sample some of their amazing baked goods in the first few weeks of their opening! The hype is real and completely justified. We stood in line for approx 45mins since 645AM (the store only opens at 7AM) and did not regret a minute of it. Potato Sourdough with Smoked Butter, Raspberry Kouijn-amann, Basque Burnt Cheesecake and Cinnamon Doughnuts. All big winners!
C. M.
Excellent! Great to see professional staff in action, in an amazing venue with fantastic food & drinks. You could think you are in a Melbourne establishment, instead this team brings service with style to Brisbane.
T. C.
Great ambiance, great service, great food. Ordered steak but wasn't asked how we wanted it cooked, arrived rare, and would have preferred it medium rare. Not sure why we weren't asked how we wanted it.
J. D. C.
There is simply nothing else in Brisbane at the moment that creates such a delicious unique flavour framed by such a gorgeous setting and great service and I didn’t even get to dessert as I was so full! If you can secure a booking at this little hotspot, you’re absolutely will not be disappointed by Agnes. I will be back (very soon)!
M.
Exquisite fine dining experience here. Excellent food and service. Didn’t expect to see food this good north of Sydney but here we are.
J. P.
I'll keep this short and sweet... quite simply the best dining experience of my life to date. Outstanding in every regard 👍👍👍
P. S.
Really great food, not a fan of the service. It felt a bit processed and Waitsfaff did just what they had to do, almost impossible to get anyones attention once the food was put down. I walked up to the counter to get some salt after giving up trying to flag anyones attention as they all stared at the floor. Aside from that it’s a beautiful restaurant with amazing food. I can’t wait to return. We had desserts in the bar and were treated wonderfully by a super knowledgeable and friendly sommelier.
S. M.
The best dining experience of your life, you can go to a "fancy restaurant" and there is always something that you feel could be improved upon, not Agnes, eating is believing, they took care of everything for our party of 10 on Saturday night and it was outstanding, congratulations guys 👏 can't wait to see you again in the New Year
J. M.
Overall rating 4.5 stars!
My aunty managed to get us a booking at their 6pm session on short notice.. That was a pleasant surprise.
In regards to the service (5 stars):
have to excellent. A free things always stick out to me...
1. Staff greet you & say good bye when you are walking past them.. Even though they are not your waiter etc.
2. I always love to have ice with my water and drinks. So I will always ask for a ghost of ice at the start of the night. A good restaurant doesn't forget to bring the ice. A great restaurant keeps filling it up without me needing to ask. It's in the details..
The female waitress with bond wavey hair that we had was very attentive. Definitely deserved the tip.
In regards to the food: (4 stars)
Lovely tastes. Different flavours.
The cost is on the expensive side.. But when the food comes out - it looks generous and that's a really good thing.
The tartare was nice.. But could be a little more tasty.
The fish was cooked very well and loved the Duck and pork.
The mushroom dish we had was a little bland.
The famous Cheesecake had a really nice texture.. But a little too salty for our table's taste.
My aunty wanted to see if they stocked Monkey Gin... And she was pleasantly surprised that they did. Supposedly it's a really high end gin.
In regards to environment (4 stars) :
Great spot. I got to park right outside the front door. Nice quiet street. Inside the restaurant there is a nice feel, especially with the fire based oven and grill.
The lighting is a little too dark for me.. But maybe in my younger days I would have thought "cool".
Definitely would go back for a special occasion.
C. H.
A fantastic restaurant and a real win for Brisbane! Four of us had a great meal and the staff could not have been more attentive and friendly. 5* all the way. The menu had a real mix which suited all of us. The wine list was exhaustive but staff helped us chose. Food was superb and you really can’t go wrong here for atmosphere either. Highly recommend and we will go back soon.
I. G.
Awesome food, staff and atmosphere. The starters were all amazing - do have the chicken tails, tuna crumpet and lamb ribs. The creamy cabbage and sour cream nicola potatoes were outstanding. Careful not to over order the main though, we had the duck which was a big portion, and unfortunately we were not able to take what was leftover home with us as it was not permitted (apparently because the meat is cured and shouldn't be reheated again?! - so be sure to only order what you can finish).
J. C.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The scallop doughnuts....divine.....mushroom and rice delicious.....carrots beautiful. Has an upbeat relaxed medieval aura.... felt very at home here. I would lose the lab beaker for measuring out the wine..... not necessary with the atmosphere....and if you must use the beaker...pour it out of the wine bottle into the beaker, at the table.
M. C.
One of the best meals I’ve had. How people complain about this restaurant is ridiculous, the review below complaining food took long... go to McDonald’s you banana
C. W.
We went to the wine bar and it was fantastic. Very impressive wine list (and by the glass). Amazing food - especially the oysters with smoked mignonette and the blue fin tuna. Very stylish space. A must for any fan of a great wine bar.
S. A. H.
First-class service right from beginning to the end. Flavours cooked with firewood mesmorisze all the sences.. Definately an experience worth having .
A. L.
Intriguing venue, awesome talented cooking, fantastic wines by the glass and great ambiance.
Wasn't bowled over by the scallop doughnut, but the prawn (cooked shell down so it retains its juices) crispy belly pork without the need for copious salt on the skin, and generous truffle on the potatoes! Loved the rooftop for having the desserts!
Y. N. R.
great setting and fit out. have eaten twice here. first time was recently after its opening, everything was excellent. second time, wasn't as great. food was average and service a little meh. it was a slightly different menu. perhaps the novelty worse off. the wood smoked dishes were a bit much. the bar is very loungey and dark. still will give it 5 stars and would recommend trying it.
S. H.
Bravo guys. Exceptional experience from when we rang for a last minute cancelled table we saw on your socials to the amazing space right to the delicious bread, carrots, scallop doughnuts, potato, lamb ribs, rice pudding and professional service staff. The aged pork wasn’t for us but the waiter without hesitation noticed we didn’t eat much of it and after a brief discussion, removed it form our bill. As a colleague in the Restaurant business, this Restaurant will set a new standard in the Brisbane dining scene. Big congratulations. I’ll be back when I am in Brisbane next!
A. L.
Amazing food! Love the bar eats and the roof top bar!
S. B.
We had a really lovely time at Agnes. Our waiter was super helpful and attentive even though it was a really busy night. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the food was delicious. Thanks for a wonderful night!
J. A.
Really great dinner.
The service was lovely and very friendly. The sommelier was lovely, and the food was incredible. Well balanced and extremely tasty. Very happy
J. G.
Pretty spectacular food, there's nothing we didn't love. The signature pineapple cocktail is quite special and recommended.
One and only gripe; the acoustics in the main dining room can make it a bit difficult to hear.
A. C. (.
Worth waiting three months for our booking! Understand why it is booked out constantly!!
S. J.
Exceptional service, food and cocktails.
Menu designed to share.
Put this on your list for dinner or lunch.
M. G.
WOW -well worth the wait and the hype. Food was amazing and great portion sizes. From the fresh plump oysters to the sublime Raspberry millefeuille, so good. I don't know what you do with the cabbage but amazing! The dish of the night was the duck with cherries, it was on another level. One of the best dishes I have had ever. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
L. W.
I was a chef for years and have cooked for celebrities like Miranda Kerr when I worked in a 2 hatted kitchen and I can confidently say this food was the best in Brisbane, hands down. If I could give them 6/5 I would. 6 of us had dinner there. It was $750 which ends up at $125 per head but that was with many beers and a $140 bottle of wine and some cocktails.
We shared the wagyu (which is 800gms), the cod, the pork, the lamb ribs - pretty much most of the menu but they didn't have any duck which I'd been super looking forward to so will have to go again!
My absolute highlight was the bluefin tuna. It was so super delicate in both texture and flavour profile that I just can't compare it with anything else I've had.
I wasn't super into the sourdough or the scallop doughnuts, if I'm being honest - they were a bit average, because I couldn't taste or feel any actual scallop and my taste in sourdough is probably very basic but them aside, everything else was 11/10.
Highly recommend.
Oh and the service was incredible. All the staff know exactly what they are talking about and were absolutely onto it with asking if we wanted drinks the second ours were empty but not at all in a pushy way. Amazing staff!
I wasn't super enthused about the long tables where you have another group sat just down from you at the same table but it didn't encroach on us at all in the end we were a good distance from everyone else and yeah.
Really cool to see the kitchen as it is too, woodfired and legitimate in its craft.
C. N.
Thank you to Agnes and your wonderful staff for a fantastic experience (lunch on Saturday) . Food was fabulous as we expected :). I do have to congratulate you on all of your staff every person we dealt with was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. The knowledge of wine, food and everything Agnes was next level. A very special thank you to Carlos, you were fantastic.
V. G.
I would say Agnes is a kind of restaurant you have to go once in lifetime if you are a follower of OPEN FIRE+DRY AGING. The wine list was impressive and the service was amazing. If I have to say something negative I personally don’t prefer eat in a relatively darker environment, but the fire from the kitchen was pretty cool to watch.
S. C.
Beautiful food, fabulous ambience and especially gorgeous staff made the whole experience so delightful! We just love coming back to Agnes again and again!
A. V.
Amazing food, amazing staff! What a great place to have a beautiful night. I couldn’t expect less from this restaurant, I’m coming back very soon !
G. M.
Love the concept, and the food was innovative and tasty. Modern and dark interior is nice.
Only issues:
- very loud and, at times, weird music
- the intense smell of smoked fish was permeating the restaurant which is a real turnoff when trying to eat dessert
N. O.
Probably the best restaurant in Brisbane right now. Great food, wonderful service and solid wine list.
D. S.
Unique menu, great dishes cooked exceptionally tasty. Awesome service, great staff, fast, prompt and helpful. Modem and cosy interior design. However. Deafening music gives it minus 2 solid points. This is definitely how you can ruin a good restaurant experience.
D. R.
Thank you to Ben and the team for making our 1 year wedding anniversary special. The food was out of this world and the service was amazing.
What a great experience and we can’t wait to go back.
Also a special thanks to Iris, luv to you and your fam.
A HUGE thanks from Dan & Chloe.
W. W.
Late to the party with Agnes Restaurant's pop up bakery, which has now ceased operations while they gear up for the restaurant proper. Managed to try some of their baked goods on the last weekend of bakery trade thanks to some friends who queued up early.
We had:
* Baked custard almond KA
* Butter cream and blood orange KA
* Choux pastry
* Strawberries and cream donut
The kouign amanns were the standouts for me by far. So lovely. And so happy I got a chance to try these before the bakery closed. Can't wait to see what delights the restaurant will bring!
S.
Truely incredible from the moment we arrived to leaving so full and satisfied. Thanks to everyone who made a wonderful evening!
G. S.
What an amazing experience. Love it. Food was sensational. Service spot on and atmosphere great.
C. d. S.
Agnes is currently by far Brisbane’s best restaurant! There is nothing like it & so far everything I’ve tried is next level! The menu that chef Ben Williamson has created goes above & beyond when tantalising your taste buds. The concept is fire , no gas , no electricity just food cooked on fire , even the desserts which are some of the best I’ve had. The restaurant itself is sexy AF!!! I could go on & on about Agnes, yes I’ve only been once , yes I’m going again in November & you need to try to get a booking when possible because it’s a dining experience like no other. Can not fault
A. B.
One of the best restaurant's in Brisbane. My work had a function in the dinning room and the entire evening was amazing. The food was some of the best I have had in a while and the service was excellent. Would strongly recommend to anyone.
G. G.
This is a review of the restaurant. We went on the opening night expecting really good things. Perhaps our excitement was overzealous after hearing such good things about the bakery pop-up. The service was quite good and the ambiance was good though quite dark. The dishes were just good, though very very large. We were recommended by the waitress to order a few snacks, two entrees, one main, lots of sides and a dessert to share. We followed this advice and ordered a few snacks, two mains and two sides and this was far too much food for two people. We didn't end up ordering dessert as we were so full after just one main and couldn't fit in the other. The tartiflette sounds much more appealing than it was, one spoon and it was enough. We recommend the cocktails though, they were delicious. Though, you can get tasty cocktails at lots of places in Brisbane. The duck was massive but tasty and nicely rare, the pork mostly fat, so better for those that prefer that. We really liked the prawn donuts and the bread. We were told that because of covidsafe rules we couldn't take away the leftovers, which is different from our experiences at other venues at this time. We found this very unfortunate considering the volume of food wasted. Thanks for having us, for people interested in this concept perhaps try the sister venues first, as we found them far better.
N. W.
Just wow. Pricey but special enough to be well worth it. Food, drinks, atmosphere, service - everything's top notch.
G. S.
A super-chic restaurant and bar hiding in a Valley side street - this is something special. Wood-fired flavours abound in an excellent menu with many standouts including the incredible grilled octopus and the achingly tender and smoky lamb. One of the best wine lists in the city and discreet but friendly service. You'll need to wait a while to sample this - but it's worth every minute.
S. L.
One of the best restaurants in Australia. From the same people behind Honto, Same Same and Bianca. Go try them all.
A. L.
Had a great evening at Agnes. Started with drinks downstairs in the bar before heading to the dining room for a delicious meal. The open fire cooking really made it a unique experience. Finished the evening on the rooftop terrace for a drink. Overall a great experience and have recommended Agnes to others
M. E.
This place! It was nothing short of spectacular. We had the kindest waiter Jacob and the meal was off the radar. Ty runs a smooth shop. The prawn donuts, the lamb, the bread, the butter - like a party in our mouths. And then our last minute request of birthday cake was filled simply and without a fuss! Thankyou to the incredible team of culinary specialists in the kitchen it was a night to remember! We will be back as soon as we can get in! 💕🙏🏼
D. Y.
Cracking restaurant really enjoyed all the dishes we had. For a restaurant that specialises in meat cooked over the fire the vegetarian dishes like the mushroom entree and garbage dish were spectacular. The steak tartare is a must. We were a group of 6 that shared a variety of dishes. Service is great atmosphere fantastic. The bar downstairs is great. Very good espresso martini
a. r.
Amazing food, amazing experience!
C. C.
Drop in last minute for one of the best vegetarian meals we've had in Brissy. The charred cabbage and carrot dishes were so decadent! Cath, Jack and George looked after us with professionalism and enthusiasm in the cute bar room. Overall superb. Can't wait to become regulars here.
S. T.
I don't usually post reviews, but here goes.
Best Sourdough ever put to my lips.
Busy place especially during Covid. Reservations a must.
Foolishly I thought I could just wander in...
In all my years this place is in my top 5 dinners, and my top 10 dining experiences.
Absolutely remarkable - how many ways can you smoke something... let them show you.
Great work guys!
No pics because they never do a venue justice.
A. O.
Had to wait patiently for the opportunity to have dinner here, and it was full worth the wait. The food, drinks and staff were fantastic. Very good service and unbelievably delicious food. So happy that we waited to get this booking will definitely be back
H. P.
Came here for a family lunch and the food did not disappoint. For starter we had the smoked butter and bread and it was amazing. For starter we had the tuna tartare and the carrots, the tuna was nice and the carrot sauce was to die for. The ocotillos was crispy and charred and did not disappoint. However the fish was not as good as hoped but still very nice. The main course of steak was in readings and was really good, the sauce was amazing. The dessert was meringue with refreshing passion fruit and with crumbly pistachio and was the dish of the day. The service was good and the kombucha which I had was slightly spicy and a bit weird. Probably a 4.5 star but I didn’t want to give it a 4. Good meal
R. D.
Have eaten here twice and thoroughly enjoyed both the great service and food on each occassion.
A. S.
Great fitout, beautiful space and good food. The wine list is outstanding and the sommelier knew her stuff. The biggest problem I had with Agnes was the constant reminding by wait staff of our seating limit and hurrying us up. The food is no better than a similar experience at Firedoor at City Winery and the service there was much more relaxed and enjoyable. It’s to be expected with a restaurant that’s pushing through high volumes of people like Agnes, but it does dampen the enjoyment of the evening a bit when you’re being reminded every 15 minutes about your time limit and told that there’s no time for dessert.
J.
Everything ordered was amazing accompanied by fantastic service (Sarah) - thanks for an amazing night 👍 Our table of 4 had lots of great food to taste and every morsel was just great.
W. M. O.
Great food, attentive staff and pleasant ambiance. A good night out!
S. R.
A fantastic restaurant on the Valley/ City fringe. Exposed walls, dimly lit, en trend music, open kitchen - fire!
Be guided by a team that knows its dishes and menu, ask for favourites, come with an appetite.
C. W.
Everything was ok, but just OK. The chicken tail yakitori was very nice. Prawn doughnut - couldn’t taste any prawns from it. The clams with pork mince was nice. Beef tartare - over flavoured with caramelised onions plus mayo, why you need that much flavour over gourmet raw beef? Lamb neck - generous portion cooked to perfection but again, too salty. The salt did work creating the crispy shell however it became too salty to eat any. Unlike ordinary cuts the neck only got a thin layer of meat, you probably need to consider that. The pastry was very nice with a hint of nuts, but again over flavoured - the cream was overwhelmingly sweet. For that pricing you should make every effort to give some surprise. Overall experience was nice and comments were subject to personal preference. Keep it up.
F. v. H.
Great food with a good selection of wine available, the setting is casual but classy, staff was very helpful with food and wine selection.
T. S.
The venue is lovely and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately the food left us wanting and was to the standard of an average restaurant. We were also led to believe that the portions were banquet style, which was not the case when it came to the mains. We were also rushed with our dining and had staff try to take food away prior to the dish being finished on multiple occasions. Regretfully, we will not be visiting again. We were quite disappointed after having to wait so long/book so far in advance.
B. L.
This was really great! Food, service and wine list were spot on! Quite reasonably priced I thought.
S. D.
Met the hype and our expectations. All the dishes we ordered were lovely and the cocktails / wines lists were excellent.
W. A.
We booked nearly three months in advance and then we could only get in at 830 on a Thursday night. Our expectations were in line with the booking time and I just don’t think it hit the mark. One of us was a coeliac so they crossed off nearly half the menus. Since our booking was late, one of the mains was already gone so options pretty limited. There was a sense of ‘you should be lucky to have a seat here’ but Jack did his best to get us back on track. Well I think his name was Jack as it is a touch noisey. We ended just sitting next to each other instead of across from each other and that made it better. For the coeliacs out there, if they want to use GF soy sauce, that would open up another option. Having dined in major cities around the world, we found Agnes a great idea and just missing a beat or two. It will get better. I hope as Brisbane needs more of these. If I was to recommend one thing, I would make sure that later bookings have the entire menu on hand. They said we could have preordered that item but no one told us that beforehand.
M. H.
This review is of the pop-up bakery.
In a word: outstanding. I can’t wait to see what the restaurant has in store, once it finally opens!
Edit: having now visited the restaurant, now that it’s open, I can confirm it was every bit as superb as the pop-up bakery promised it would be.
Hands down, the coolest dining room in Brisbane.
R. E.
Impeccable service and the food is amazing.
Would recommend not over ordering like we did which ment that we went home with very full bellies....so our bad!
2 servings of Bread to clean up all the sauce, sardine sandwich, lamb ribs, clams and octopus was plenty for 2! We went over the edge ordering the pork loin and celeriac which was amazing....but to much food for 2.
M. R. (.
Great spot for a special occasion, food was awesome changes with seasons. Great service
T. Z.
Quail is juicy! The staff are impeccable! YTG the runners are underrated!
J. B.
These guys are 2/2 with 5 star experience. We went for lunch in opening week and loved it, again this weekend. Worth the wait from booking and worth every $$. Question the taste of anyone who says it's not a top class experience, they're probably quite cheap or basic.
K. B.
Amazing food and good atmosphere
H. M.
Really good food. Duck was amazing and snacks exceptional. Cocktails fabulous. Not that cheap, but well worth it!
N.
Well-executed and interesting menu, excellent cocktails and wine list (including plenty by the glass), great atmosphere, cute rooftop bar, and surprisingly reasonable. Don’t skip the bread!
J. M.
A unique experience - the staff and food are outstanding, not to mention a beautiful venue. Dined here three times and continues to surpass expectations. Hopefully another visit soon.
S. N.
Worth the wait in line. Tried about 5 of their baked goods (savoury and sweet) and they were all so flakey and delicious! Very aesthetic looking store as well.
K. H.
This is the level of entertainment you need for a night out! Great service, delicious food, brilliant atmosphere!
A. H.
Great food & service. We had a wonderful time there.
N. L.
Great menu, good use of textures, flavours, and temperatures. Awesome wait staff.
Only thing I would love to see...is a long course degustation menu encompassing more of the menu to try a curated list.
W. J.
Hands down the best restaurant in Brisbane at the moment. Faultless in every way possible. Stunning.
E. T.
Amazing venue, staff, atmosphere and food! Highly recommended checking out this fine dining establishment!

Visually appealing. Music sounded like repetitive 'on hold' music and too loud for good conversation. Food ok.

We had a great experience dining at Agnes on a Friday afternoon. I loved the minimalist decor, the friendly service and the view of the open kitchen. The food was outstanding and it was definitely the highlight of our visit.
The lamb ribs and beef tartare were absolutely divine. I loved the side dish of grapes that accompanied our main dish as well. We loved the butter that was served with the bread so much that we visited Agnes Bakery the week after.
Everything was truly exceptional at Agnes, and you could feel that lots of effort had gone towards executing everything perfectly.

Holy freakin' wow! The decor is stunning. It looks so unassuming on the outside, then you're transported into a bustling, urban restaurant where the dimly lit restaurant reminds you of New York or London.
The waiter, Aiden, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He was sure to impress with his dish recommendations and service and had personality and humour, which added to the overall experience.
We ordered the sourdough bread with was delicious, along with the crumpets and wagyu skewers - all of this was a sensational start to our evening!
For entrees, we had the tiger prawns which were rich in flavour and the peppers - something I wouldn't normally order but honestly such a lovely combination of flavours.
For the main, we had the pork which was soft yet the crackle maintained in tact and the roast potatoes with pickled onions - yum. Perfect combination.
Dessert was sensational too with the fig and honey, along with the soft chocolate and stout ice cream. I'd go back just for dessert!
The wine and cocktail list was extensive.
I tipped generously because it exceeded our expectations.

(Translated) A steakhouse that cooks with firewood.
The smoky scent of cooking with firewood and the water content of the firewood make it juicy.
Pork belly has a very crispy skin and is wonderful.
Lamb shank was also a very appetizing dish due to the synergistic effect of firewood and cumin.

豚バラ肉は皮の部分がとてもクリスピーで素晴らしい出来です。
ラムシャンクも薪とクミンの相乗効果でとても食欲をそそる一品でした。
