Had a some lovely meals with some friends. We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks. They were all fabulous. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the portion sizes were very generous and the atmosphere was lovely. Parking seem easy enough to find and the diners that had the steaks loved them. Although it is a steak house they did have an option for those that try not to eat animal products including a large starter of cauliflower buffalo wings which was yum and an earth bowl. Overall a lovely experience , reasonable prices and a convenient and comfortable venue.

We have lived in Brisbane for four years now and keep driving past this hotel with the sign saying best steak in Brisbane. We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch so decided today was the day we'd try the place. Getting to the place from the intersection was confusing, but with the gps, driving around again, we got there. Lol. There is parking out the back. We were seated quickly, they have indoor and outdoor tables. The place was quite busy when we got there around 1pm. There is table service however they have the ordering app available too which we love, so we ordered from our phone. The drinks came out quickly as did the food. I ordered eye fillet. It was tender but lacked flavour. Quite a bit of fat on the piece and one mouthful I couldn't chew. The chips were average but the blue cheese and walnut salad was delicious. I'm not a big fan of salad but this was my favourite part of the dish. My husband had the wagyu +2 rump. His had more flavour than mine but it was pretty average also. I'm not sure what makes them the best steak in Brisbane or when they won the award, but I think if you go here, just go knowing you will get a big meal and that there is a large variety of meal options, and you will enjoy the experience. However, if you are new to Brisbane and see the sign "best steak in Brisbane" don't go out of your way to come to this restaurant to try the best steak in Brisbane. I would go back here, but just without the expectation of the best steak in Brisbane.

The food was great, steak perhaps a little more medium than medium rare but still damn good. Mushroom sauce a winner, oysters fresh and delicious. Only complaint is the app to order and pay, I'd much rather have table service and discuss the food with staff rather than scan a QR and scroll. Cheapens the experience IMO but perhaps I'm just old. Get a whisky on the way out, the Yamazaki 12 was amazing.

My partners T-bone (450g) @ 44 was just as delicious, i made sure to try both :P the sides aren't just plate garnish, the chips are seasoned perfectly, the twice baked potato is very hard to stop eating. even the salads have a proper element of care and quality. best steak for middle ground prices in Brisbane in my opinion. 1 x bottle sparkling 1 x Cosmopolitan 1 x Coke 400g Rib on bone 450g T-bone 122.50 with GST. super affordable for high quality cuts. will be back again.

Hands down. One of the. Best steaks you'll ever have in Brisbane. Amazing whisky selection. Don't let the no decorating since the 1980s fool you. Parking is horrible if you try for dinner after 530/6pm. You'll have to park in near by streets. However I tend to go here once a month. I've invited friends out for dinner here and they all return.

Always go here when we feel like a good steak. The meals are delicious, the mushroom sauce is amazing. Staff are friendly, there is an older gentleman that serves there and he is wonderful. Recommend here for a decent steak Parking and accessibility is good. Just be mindful it is paid parking till 7pm mon to fri now in the diagonal spots out the front.

Nice evening, but the steaks are expensive and although the sauces are included, I thought being charged an extra $4 per person for a very small tub of mustard was definitely Scrooge like at Christmas. I also got charged for a drink that never came. That's, however, my fault for not checking the bill before I paid. However, their baked potatoes are really good. Drinks arrive quickly unless you order cocktails. Then you have to wait. Pleasant and helpful wait staff.

The steak 🥩 just melts in your mouth !! What else can I tell you ;) I had the premium wagyu rump, my son and hubby shared the combo steak and rib plate and my daughter had chicken. We all enjoyed our meals but my daughter’s chicken was ok not an outstanding dish like the meat dishes !! The service was excellent. Outstanding steaks !!

The best mushroom sauce in Brisbane! Don't bother going anywhere else if you love mushroom sauce with your steak, this is the place to go if you love it as much as I do. It's so good you just come to get extra sauce. Not only is the sauce excellent, the steak is also excellent. I have been coming here for years now and will continue to come if I ever want to eat steak. The side condiments are also delicious and it's good value for money for a decent steak dinner.

The Morrison used to be great, but it's still a good steak. It's not the best in Brisbane, but still decent. At 200gm the Eye fillet is a little small for my liking. Asked for medium, it was slightly over at medium-well.

The baked potato with mash and cheese sounded good, but in practice was too much. I would have preferred a plain baked potato. Our entrees were pretty good.

Came for lunch with a small group of mates. Sure, the steaks are a bit on the pricey side, but I have no complaints. It's full table service, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. The steaks we had were all sensational. Best I've had in a long long time. I almost thought that there was something wrong with my salad. It was not a handful of withered lettuce with a sprinkling of freeze fried grated carrot and half a cherry tomato on top that you'll get at virtually every pub in Queensland. This was an actual salad. And you get a choice of salads. #winning

visited over the xmas/NYE period. I drive past this place every day and finally got to pop in. The building looks old and dated and I honestly wasn't expecting much. However this place will now become my new local. I had the ribs & rump with a side of house baked potato and the blue cheese, walnut and apple salad. The steak and ribs were cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious and the mushroom sauce was the best I have ever tasted. Hands down the best meal Ive had in a while.

Great steak, had the dry aged rib on the bone, the eye fillet and the Wagyu, all beautifully cooked to our liking. There's a Kids menu that's not extensive but covers the basics. Although the outdoor area is sheltered with roof and high glass shields, it rained and got a bit misty and the staff very nicely reseated us inside, despite how busy it was. Great experience. Parking can get a bit tricky at the peak periods though.

My sons 18th Birthday was great. We were given an area in the Piano Room with seating for 25 people. Despite it being a busy night with Christmas partys and other family events the food and service were great. My only concern was the ventilation as it is summer their ventilation system wasn't working and a small fan was set up... this was broken and didn't swivel at all... I let the staff know of this at the end of the night, an apology was given and I was happy enough. Next time I'll be aware to check for ventilation issues though.

Only down side is that it can be a little difficult to park in the premises if you're unfamiliar with how to enter, I'd suggest car pooling and/or looking ahead on street view to see what the turns are like.

The meals were served very timely and we all tried a bit of each others dishes. The food was exceptional! Very tasty and cooked to perfection. Desserts are another highlight not to be missed. Located in the prime location of Woolloongabba, near the city and South Bank, Morrison Hotel offers one of the best value for steak options in Brisbane. My dry-aged rib-eye I ordered was cooked to perfection and I really couldn't fault the food. The down side is that there is limited parking so unless you go during non-peak time, be sure that you have your transportation sorted out. The men's toilet was filthy and the smell was putrid, as if it hasn't been cleaned properly for some time. It was quite difficult to talk as the noise was rebounding along the walls making simple conversations difficult without telling over other tables. If you're interested in the steak, this place is the place to go. Hats down best value for food but if you want a quiet place to chill, then this is probably not the best option.

Great atmosphere, the place seems to have that relax vibe. The wagyu rump here used to be excellent, however going back this year a few times the quality of the meat has been let down from what it used to be a few years back. Prices of the steaks and drinks have gone significantly up, so your overall costs including drinks for a family can start to add up. If their standards were kept consistently they would deserve a full rating, however some areas have been let down a little. Overall a nice place to visit to have a beer and steak.

To each their own when visiting this establishment. You won't be overwhelmed nor disappointed when eating and drinking here, just make sure your wallet is fat. Two pints will cost you twice as much of your hard earned cash as it would at any other venue, so value for money is on the lower end. A/C appeared to be busted on the day we came in, which can be brutal in 35°c+ QLD summer. Not a bad spot for whiskey, although I would only grab a drink when passing through. It's fine.

They say they have the best steaks in Brisbane and they could be right! We have often visited various pubs and hotels on our customary Monday lunch. Many have specials early in the week. The Morrison doesn't; their food speaks for itself. The eye-fillet is the pick of the menu and is served with a variety of salad options. My favourite is the 200 gram eye fillet with the Mushroom sauce and the green cheese, apple and walnut salad. Yum! The Morrison has a good selection of wines to accompany your meal and if you like whisky, they have over 120 brands of them! I am a pizza lover but I wouldn't recommend pizza from the Morrison -sorry-

It sells itself as the only steak house selling prime cuts and aged beef. While the meat itself was cooked to my specification (medium rare) the condiments and sides were lacking in matching the main course. Staff and bartenders get a 5 star rating from me, but the cracked walls and dungey atmosphere mixed with mediocre sides don't match the price point.
