Dropped in here yesterday for nice cool drinks with friends. The best ice coffees so far in the town! Taste real!! The ice cream, the cream and the coffee, just what the ice coffee should be! Some cafes put ice cubes and its a big no no! The service was prompt, friendly and the garden was amazingly cool! Highly recommended!

Getaway is an absolute gem. Having had the chance to first be a customer and then an employee from this family business I can honestly say it's the nicest place in town. Stunning garden, amazing food (the most fantastic cakes!!) friendly staff and caring business owners, Getaway is a must-try! I highly recommend getting breakfast/brunch from their delicious menu or getting the full experience on dinner nights, Wednesday or Sunday. You will be charmed by the sun setting over the pond and the fairylights around the garden will surely add some magic to your night.

Lamb roast wrap was delicious, with crispy bits adding texture, generous serve of meat. Wagyu burger was also flavourful. Both served with chips which were perfectly crunchy on the outside and mushy on inside. Coffee with Campos beans had smooth texture and perfect temperature, though a tad milky for my taste.

Love this place! Delicious and nutritious breakfast and super yummy juice options. A must visit if you are in 1770 or Agnes Waters. The cafe has a nice natural chill vibe and is set in a beautiful mature garden. Perfect spot for food before or after experiencing the paper bark trail.

This was a very lucky discovery on our trip. Booked last minute and right at kitchen closing time, requesting vegan options - so I was preparing to be let down! They delivered above expectations on every count - offered to have food available when we arrived, explained which items could be made vegan and assured us they’d seat us if we were late. We arrived to find the most beautiful rainforest garden setting and exquisite cafe surrounded by nature. The service was absolutely delightful and accommodating. Our vegan wraps with house-made lentil patties, pickles and some kind of out-of-this-world relish/dressing were a massive serving and by far the best I’ve had in 10 years! The coffee on Bonsoy was perfect and even the bathroom was delightfully gorgeous and clean. I can not fault this business. I wish I’d had the chance to tell the owners in person what an absolute credit you are to your community. Who would’ve thought a cafe would be such a highlight of our visit to Agnes! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The gardens and cakes (I tried he tiramisu, apple cinnamon and citrus cheesecake and the blueberry cream roll) are nice and the main meals (I had the wayugi beef burger, lamb wrap and the salad with chicken) are ok, the burger and salad tasted similar to items in McDonalds and the lamb in the wrap was a bit over salted. Although the main meals were not the best compared to ones in more populated places, they were probably the best in the area.

Beautiful surrounds, friendly service but dessert was uugghh. Daughter had a fruit pavlova which contained 3 slices of apple, 2 slides of nectarine and slices of apricot. Tiny slithers. All for $7.50. She also had a chocolate thickshake that could not be deciphered as chocolate but rather a watery, sweet milk. A great pity as gardens and service were lovely.

I think absolutely everyone was super lovely and helpful but to have one toll to order and pay, no one waiting to seat is and a billing system that requires everyone at the table involved with a split bills to be there at exactly the same time let it down. In short steam line a little and you are absolutely there for the long haul. I'll be back for sure and I recommend it to everyone!

If you’re looking for a place to eat great food in the 1770 region, here is one of the only places you should go. This place beats all the other food restaurants/cafés in 1770 and Agnes water by a mile. We came here for breakfast and I got the fry up and a chocolate protein shake, the food and drink were excellent. The service was great as the staff was friendly and did everything to ensure we enjoyed our meal.

This was the perfect place to spend the afternoon on a rainy day. The walk up to the cafe is through a beautiful rainforest garden that instantly makes you feel relaxed. I would vote Getaway as having the best coffee in Agnes Water they use Campos beans and have a variety of different milks available. The service we received was fantastic and the staff make sure that you have an enjoyable experience.

My inlaws love this cafe everytime they are in Agnes Water for a holiday. We were thrilled they served campos beans as it's our personal favourite. We came here for morning tea for the entire week we were there and by the end of our trip, they remembered our coffee orders! We were the 3 strong latte, 1 skinny/weak latte, piccolo and babycino family. I wanted to try every sweets they had on display and my favourite was the mango custard cake. Delish. We opt for brunch on our last day and was so pleased with my choice of mushrooms on brioche toast. Sooooo yummy. The atmosphere was relaxing. Gorgeous greenery around that made it 10°c cooler.

If you want a nice secluded beach get out onto spring road head south for 1.7km and turn left opposite spring bark walk. Follow unmarked track for 400m then walk down boardwalk to beach. Excellent food and wonderful resort. Enjoyed Two meals at the cafe and both were better than anything else we found in 1770 or Agnus Waters. It’s very clearly run and operated by dedicated owners and staff. Since the hotel portion doesn’t seem to be on google maps, the suites are modern ,without being too modern and uncomfortable, and perfectly clean. Each is fully equipped with washer, dishwasher, cable and the fastest internet we’ve found in Queensland. Lots of nice little touches like clean Weber Q Grills on each suite porch and plantation shutters on all the windows. Excellent value compared to the other options in the area! Thank you!

Lush tropical garden welcomes you after entering through a carved timber Balinese gate. The garden features a variety of bromeliads, ferns, palms, coconut trees, bamboo and we also spotted a tiny pineapple growing! Dog parking is available next to a couple of concrete tables with umbrella shading by the large lawn. There's also plenty of seating available on the covered deck which overlooks the pond. Service is friendly, Campos coffee on mark, breakfast was delicious and we just saved enough room for a shared slice of fig and honey cheesecake. Only feedback is it would be great to have filtered tap water, and an additional toilet.

We went to see the justifiably well known gardens. They are glorious. There are not enough stars to give Getaway Garden Cafe the justice they deserve! We were here for a full week at their Resort (1770 Getaway Resort) and were treated like family. We frequented the Cafe on a daily basis during our stay. Absolutely immaculate kitchen and superb service by all staff members. The food is scrumptious and the cakes by Vera are the best you will ever taste - an absolute delicacy and a wide variety baked fresh on a daily basis. This family-run business prides itself in supreme food quality and service. Every staff member has a beautiful smile on their faces and are super friendly and quick with their service. The coffee is hands-down the best we have ever tasted and Carla is a phenomenal barista and beautiful host. Her husband Elvis is also an amazing host who keeps his guests feel most welcome as is Michael who roams around keeping the tropical surrounds looking phenomenal. Well done guys - we will be back!

My wife and I had several outstanding visits to this cafe on our first trip to 1770. Food and service were both high quality and thoughtful. We visited the cafe 3 times during our weeklong break, including the 'roast lamb' night, for which we had to book and it was perfect. We absolutely loved our coffee and cakes, the coffee was 10 out of 10, the cakes so fresh and delicious. The gardens felt like we were in Bsli, exotic and lush. Definitely going back!

Slow service and cold, overcooked food. We waited 15 minutes after being seated to order, then another half hour for food that came out barely warm. The fish was chewy and dry, chips were warm, and the waygu patty was burnt on one side. My toddler couldn't eat the crumb of the kids menu chicken nuggets, it was too hard, and we had to peel the crumb off for him to eat which meant my food, which was lukewarm to begin with, was stone cold by the time I got to actually eat it. The best part of the meal was the salad, which must have been made after the meals were already cooked, because it was fresh. We were also told that they were sold out of all their soft drinks aside from coke and ginger ale, after trying to order a few other things from the menu. For all the amazing reviews, it was a very disappointing experience.

Well where do you start. The staff welcome you with a smile. You are shown to your table. Tonight, ( Fathers Day ) had a Lamb Roast on the menu. No paper thin slices here. Carved off in thick and VERY tender slices. It tasted just like a home cooked meal. Spuds and pumpkin just right and the gravy like Mum makes. This place was a fantastic oasis of delicious, fresh, healthy food in a desert of potato wedges and seafood. Even though it’s a few minutes out of town, it’s worth the drive for the great coffee and breakfast drinks and healthy breakfast staples (avo on toast, poached eggs, açaí bowls, etc). The setting is great, surrounded by tropical plants. We came here each morning while in Agnes Water even though our hotel served breakfast.
