FRIDAY NIGHT OUTING! A new venue - Glasshouse Mountain Tavern - renovated - looking modern and pleasing to the eye with the colour scheme. We had a bottle of White and a stone fired Pizza - delicious and crispy! Staff very friendly and helpful. A special "thank you" to the MAÎTE D' that organised another table for us - what made other people wait - but she made sure our request was met! Overall a nice experience and we will be back for sure!

Stopped in after a walk through the mountains as it looked nicely renovated with tables outside. Had a great burger and reasonably priced too. Bar staff incredibly helpful providing small tasters of beer as I couldn't decide on which one to have. Will definitely stop by again next time we are down that way for a walk.

I have to say it is a vast improvement on the last visit. The new management have improved the tavern dramatically. Ambience, staff and general appearance are excellent. As is the food. My one gripe is with the pizza. The balance between main ingredients and cheese was heavily in the favour of the cheese. If there was an arm wrestle, the cheese was the WWF wrestler and the other ingredients were 6 day old kittens. The vegetarian pizza was awash with cheese, the other ingredients were trying to survive on an ocean of cheese and not succeeding plus because they were a little scarce they couldn't rely on each other to keep afloat. If you say they are artisan pizzas, please give the other ingredients an opportunity to shine. Sorry I couldn't say anything on the night, we had 2 children under 5 who were wanting to sack and pillage and it was better to retreat home...

You can always judge a pub by their parmy - and this one was delicious!! The chips were moorish and were next to the parm not underneath it - thank you!! Huge menu with a lot of options.

Went there Saturday for dinner with family and friends. What a transformation! Food was great, service was excellent and considering most staff are new they were professional and courteous. We had a very pleasant evening and being Glass House locals we are happy to see the pub open again. All we need now is a courtesy bus so we can have a few more drinks!!

The smoked chorizo & mooloolah bar prawn pizza completely blew us away tonight. Hands down the best pizza we have ever had in Australia. The chef knew what he was doing 100% The sauce and crust was just next level. Thank you so much for a great meal 👏

Since refit, It's more of a steakhouse, than a country pub. First night opening, all workers,/Hi-vis clothing etc, kicked out at 530pm. Not really a friendly local country pub, that this beautiful area, really deserves! Go here if you want to pay for a pub meal at City prices. The money spent on refurb, was poorly executed, the now fully open plan, loosing fireplace, doesn't allow for seperate dining/ Drinkers. No more juke box, no more pool table, no dart board! They did an average job initially when building this pub, but the refurb makes it go backwards!!! Goto the bowls club, if you want pub meals at pub prices, way more friendly/ number of staff. Sorry guys at ghouse tav, but ya totes missed the mark for this area!! On a positive, at least you didn't add more pokies to venue, however this was probs good outcome from licensing restrictions.

The place looks amazing with the new ownership and internal refurbishment however the removal of the pool table took away the want to stay after our meal and loud construction work to the point where we couldn't hear each other talking also didn't help (I understand this was out of the control of the tavern it's self) however it did impact my experience there

UPDATE: The Tavern is under new management. The decor is very glitzy and modern, the bar caters for cocktails and has a great selection of brews. Staff were friendly. They had been open for a couple of weeks when we visited so there were a few teething issues. The food was OK. The menu looks great and hopefully will realise its potential.

A little quiet for my liking but I hear other nights of the week it does really well. Visiting our former colleague who moved up to The Glasshouse Mountains and we stayed for the night and decided to have dinner here. Marnie and Damo were great hosts and we're very patient with us as we made our own entertainment on that quiet night. I had the Thai beef salad and I'm still raving about the dish. Firstly it was huge and very generous and it had a lot of great flavoured veggies through the salad and the Thai beef strips were marinated well. The marinade dressing was absolutely delicious with enough heat and I just couldn't get enough of that dish. If I didn't live so far away I'd go back and get it again in a heartbeat. But next time we go up to visit our friend from Brisbane we'll definitely go back. Drinks were reasonably priced and the whole atmosphere had a lovely warm feel to it. It would be nice to go there in winter when they put on the fireplace. Thanks again guys for your hospitality! Great memories that night.

Counter staff were hopeless! Let's hope she was having a bad day? I asked for whiting chips and salad... I got extra red onion barramundi chips and salad🤔 as substitute.. I must say the food is very very fresh💯👌! Very well presented👌 and very well priced🙏! Well done to the chef! Good pub food 👌 if front end could get it correct. I would still recommend and plan on returning again soon.

Average. Clearly a local. Felt grubby.The guy who served me said they had no fancy beers really, no larger, no pale ale. He wasn't very friendly, but the lady who took over was bright and cheery. Wouldn't go back.

Wonderful experience. The lovely lady in the red shirt at the bar 1st jan 2020, greeted me and my family and made us feel very welcome on entry. Beautiful atmosphere Food delicious. And we didnt wait long. All round it was a nice place to be.

We had a funny experience here, my sister asked that her meal be taken back after eating a small amount because her fish was undercooked the waiter took both hers and mine back as well, even though I thought it was okay. We ordered the same meal but one with salad and one with vegetables, they came out at the same time. Anyway my sister got a new meal cooked beautifully and I didn't get a replacement I sat waiting, I said looks like only you get a replacement. My sister said let's just share hers. I said lucky we were sisters because I wouldn't share otherwise. We had been the several time before this and the food and service was very good.

Stopped in on the way north for lunch. Setting and service was decent, but some of our group had fairly average meals, namely under-cooked calamari and over-cooked beef schnitzel. Oh, and they were out of chicken schnitzels, which may have been because it was only a couple of days after New Year's, but still, that's the staple of pub lunches!

Nice looking little pub restaurant but the meals themselves are decidedly average. 3 meals incorrect and 2 of the 7 ordered came out so early they had finished by the time the rest arrived. And cash only at the bar?! This isn't the 1970's how about eftpos.

I have been frequenting the Glasshouse Mountains Tavern for a few years, mostly on a Sunday, and occasionally during the week. My profession is a Full Time Marriage Celebrant, and I meet couples from the Gold Coast and Brisbane at the Tavern, reason being, it is approx half way for the couples and me. But also, because it introduces new people to our beautiful part of the world. And gives couples a suggested rendezvous, to bring their families and friends to, pre and post wedding. Plus many couples due to travelling there to meet with me, will obviously purchase a drink, stay and have lunch. I have never received or heard of one complaint from them, about the standard of cleanliness or service of food. In fact, quite the opposite, they comment on how good it was to meet there and that they will definitely go there again. It gives me great confidence, to know that I can meet couples there, with or without children (as they have a separate children's section). Knowing that the staff will welcome them and myself, and provide service to a very high standard. So a big "Thank You" to the management and staff, at the Tavern Glasshouse Mountains... Called in for a very pleasant lunch with friends visiting from Western Australia. We all had specials from the blackboard menu and can thoroughly recommend the Shepherds Pie.
