Grassfed is an all-vegan burger shop in South Brisbane. Their burgers are next level: All vegan, and made with vegan beef (vEEF burger patties), bacon, egg, cheese and other mouthwatering ingredients. This is one of the vegan comfort food restaurants you need to put on your bucket list. Although they don’t have a very big menu, all the options sound delicious and you may have a difficult time choosing just one. My favourite, BFC, has double vEEF patty, bacon, fries, double cheese, caramelised onion and other veggies. Finished with their special sauce. The brekky burger and the chicken burger are also great. Other than burgers, they have some comfort food snacks like loaded fries and crispy buffalo cauliflower. Grassfed is not very big with only about 5 tables. And there seems to always be a line outside because of its delicious burgers. So allocate more time if you plan to visit.

Wow, talk about delicious burgers. I'm not a vegan but I'll try everything and their veef burgers are so good. I highly recommend their hickory pulled veef and BTB burger! Plus, they don't discriminate about wearing masks if you're not about that life.

Awesome burgers!! One of the best I have had. I had the Chick'n one and loved it. My partner had the Classic one and he thought it was pretty good too. One other thing that's worthwhile to mention is their friendly staff. 👍👍 Updated: We went there again on 15 June. Partner had the Classic burger again and I had the BBQ Pork one. Very impressed with the taste of the pork -- Just like real pork! Even partner said so. lol

Very interesting vegan burger restaurant, the Aussie taste pretty good, it was fresh and I didn't feel heavy after having this burger. It's a bit pricey but similar to other gourmet burger joints in Southbank area. Customer service was pretty good. The restaurant is tiny and there's not many seats inside so it's probably best to come in a small group or choose take out. Overall worth trying.

Came here with my boyfriend and my roommate tonight for a fun culinary adventure even though none of us are vegetarians/vegans. We got BFC, Aussie, Spiced BBQ pork burger + side of onion rings. To be honest, it tasted good, definitely not similar to how meat tastes like. For my burger with the 'beef ' and ' bacon', there was definitely a slimy mouth feel. I really enjoyed the King oyster mushroom in my burger and will definitely incorporate this in my own cooking. The onion rings were not done well and I was looking forward to them. They were cold and somewhat pale and did not look very appetising. The special sauce that came with it was good. Overall, a bit of hit and miss, probably won't come back again. On another note, one of the staff members was on their phone the whole time sitting next to customers and did not look very professional. It was a pretty busy time of service and there are customers waiting outside.

The food is absolutely incredible, it's tasty, satisfying, flavourful and fantastic value for money. The staff are lovely and serve you quickly, even when lines are out the door. This is one of my favourite places to eat in the world. The only thing I wish is that the space was a little bigger. It can become a bit cramped when it's busy. I'd recommend calling and ordering ahead if you're claustrophobic. Congrats on a fantastic place.

The 'fish' in the Fysh n chips burger is terrible! And I enjoy most things. Very chewy and more similar to calamari than fish. Still gets 5 stars because the staff are great and the other food has always been good

Got it delivered the night before so we had to go in a see what this place was really about. Awesome as staff who care about their customers both in store and out. Such good vegan food that most definitely anyone could enjoy no matter the diet requirements. Unfortunately this place isn't back at home in Melbourne but boy was it easily the best burger I've ever had and my friends agree. On our next visit to Brisbane we're sure to return!

Ok the amazing bourbon smoked ribz that I got as a special did live up to the hype! Glad I got there early because the line was long shortly after 5 pm. A bit disappointed with customer service though. The staff had some technical difficulty with the smoker which I sympathise with but had me waiting 15 min and when I came to pick up my already extra awaited order 20 min after 15 min was up, the staff still said it would be another 5-10 minutes. Would have liked an apology or a discount. Will be back though because this vegan takeaway is very good

If you don't eat burgers Do not be discouraged, you will find heaven for your taste buds the burgers are so lite yet heavy once eaten, loved the broccoli side dish. Arrived on a Saturday evening and the place was packed! There are 3 tables inside (6 seat and 2 X 4 seat) so we decided to get takeaway. We got a several burgers, the buffalo cauliflower, fries, a shake and some icecream. All were fantastic. The soft serve tasted like dairy ice cream, not a hint of coconut or soy and the serve was generous. The staff who were obviously very busy were still really friendly and were working hard to make sure food came out quickly. The burger patties are mostly Veef from what we could see and the filling options were interesting and full of flavour. Would definitely recommend for both vegan and non-veg eaters, hopefully the number of customers we saw is a good sign this business will stick around. Recommend not planning on eating in on busy weekend nights but if you are happy taking away or waiting then it is worth it

Vegan Burgers! This was our first visit to a Grassfed. I tried the Katsu curry burger, and wife got the Diablo. Mine was fantastic, though I did take the hash brown out and ate that on its own (didn't read the description fully and wasn't expecting it!). The Diablo looked spectacular and I'm told had a little bit of heat in it too. However the bunnies very soft and it became a rather messy burger to handle and eat. Limited seating inside. They are licensed which is good for me bc I can't have a burger without a beer!

I got the Aussie Burger and it was phenomenal. I usually get pretty bored of the flavor of burgers but with the combination of flavors for this burger I was happy eating the entire thing. Pros: - great burgers, really really yummy - some of the best fake bacon I've ever had - the chickn burger is just right. The flavours are just right. Cons: - you don't feel healthy after (but that's not why you go anyway) - not many seats - the Buffalo cauliflower don't really feel like buffalo cauliflower.

Wait times can be quite long (a sign of their popularity), but the food is worth it. Just order before you get to the very hungry phase. Chips and buffalo cauliflower are delicious, and the burgers are great. Hint though: if you aren't a fan of a LOT of sauce on your burger, probably let them know when you order. But that's a personal preference, not a shortcoming.

I think it’s great there’s now a vegan burger restaurant. By in all honesty I think a vegan restaurant should embrace everything vegan. Stop trying to recreate meat burgers and calling them veef burger or chick ‘en burger. Call them for what they really are! What’s a veef patty? What’s the chick’ en schnitzel? We tried the veef burger and the herbivore burger. Both were tasty enough but nothing special.

Don't let the limited seating fool you, Grassfed has a gorgeous variety of mouth-watering, cruelty-free burgers available with delicious sides to match. It wasn't bad. The food was decent but the bun tasted a bit doughy. Everyone thinks burgers are about the filling but it's the bread that can make or break a burger. It needs finessing. Tastes a bit like it's frozen then thawed. Though I really don't know. Still getting used to veggie meat substitutes so look elsewhere for whether it's good or bad. Onion rings were great. The sperate sauce it came with was not to my liking but that's a personal preference. Overall I'd recommend it. The big problem is the smoke coming from the smokey rib joint right next door. The Brisbane City Council should be shutting the rib joint down or making them put in a smoke ventilator as it kills nearby businesses & impacts on flats above. The laneway was literally filled with smoke. The burger place really needs to complain to the BCC otherwise their own business will suffer. Give it a try. The food is good enough to go back & try what else is on the fairly limited menu & support a local veggy business. Groovy location.

This place is amazing. Just finished dining here for the first time and I will definitely be back ! Ordered a BFC and classic burger with a side of curly fries and also loaded curly fries. First off the fries, idk if they are air fried or what but they were crunchy and delicious and had no trace of oil which was great. The loaded fries were delicious. It's hard to find a burger that fills me up being a big guy but the BFC did not disappoint. My wife really enjoyed her classic burger. Can't wait to return and try everything else on the menu !

great food! it’s very refreshing to see a vegan restaurant. the staff are very welcoming. i’d recommend getting the loaded fries/loaded potato gems, the shakes range is great but i’d highly recommend the biscoff shake, the same goes for the sundaes they are all great but the biscoff one is a must have. EDIT I just had the fish and chip burger and i’m blowed away by how real the fish looked and tasted i’m not vegan myself but i do try eat plant based when i can and i’m still shocked at how real this ‘fysh’ tasted if you’re trying to become vegan and feel like you won’t be able to live without fish this burger is the one for you!

Did not expect to enjoy the food much as I despise the taste of vEEF burgers (which, fair warning, are most of the menu). I ordered the vegan Chicken burger instead and absolutely ADORED it! Wasnt a huge fan of the buffalo cauliflower, was personally a bit too heavy on the batter for my tastes, but would eat again :) Overall vibes of the place are good but it’s much more takeaway than sit in. Would’ve loved the ability to customise the loaded fries a little more as I don’t like the veef patty but still want to try them one day!

As a passionate omnivore who loves a good piece of dead animal between bread, I was a bit reluctant to fork out for vegan burgers, but was blown away by the food, customer service and delivery time. I called ahead to ask about the ingredients used and the girl who answered the phone, just before closing, was polite, happy, friendly, very helpful and enthusiastic about the products served. I got the grass fed gains veef burger. Honestly it was one of the best burgers of my entire life and career. The texture, freshness and quality of ingredients and flavour was better than 98% of the real beef burgers in Brisbane. Truly incredible and totally unexpected. Scoffed it in less than 60 seconds. Unfortunately the pork and apple burger whilst nice was way way too sour/acidic. Like squinty crying sour. I get the balancing of fat and acidity intentions but the ratio was well and truly off. Delivery time through Deliveroo was shockingly fast. 15 minutes from confirm order to in my hands some kilometres away. Really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend every beef burger lover tries the veef burger. I see why it's such a successful company. The future is here and it's better than the original.

Got the phat Ronnie and chicken burger and it was wonderful. Not to mention they where open boxing day. And dessert was wonderful we got the cookie Wookie and the ice cream didn't have an overwhelming amount of coconut like I'm used to. I've been visiting this place since they opened but haven't written a review because I'm not someone who typically writes reviews. I'm writing one this time because I think its important to make this case. This place is fantastic. I have enjoyed everything I've eaten here and generally find customer service to be fairly good. There are some difficulties, however, notably people who disagree with the owner's dietary preferences who intentionally try to provoke him. I have been in the restaurant when this has happened - people who prey on the stores status as a vegan icon by voting the restaurant down for being "not real meat." Some customers show poor reading skills and order the food without realizing it is vegan despite many signs indicating the food is "Plant Based." The truth is, the owner is easy to provoke into arguments but thats only because people treat him and his restaurant like trash. I've met him a few times at food events around the city and find him to be a very accomodating person. Its sad that people try to pick on him because he runs a vegan store. You don't need to like the food nor do you have to agree with the owner's ideological position to be a nice person. Try the Chick'n for something different. It's my go-to.

If you’re going in a group I suggest going when it’s born busy or getting takeaway - heading to Southbank for a picnic is a good choice!
