Such a great restaurant! The views are amazing, lush tropical plants, a duck pond and some mountains. The food is very delicious and decadent. Lots of asian influence in their cuisine. Dog friendly and plenty of outdoor space. It’s like eating lunch in a tropical jungle bungalow.

Visited this place on Sunday 20th of June 2021. As soon as i parked my car and stepped out i felt kind of positive vibes which I normally don’t get everywhere. Beautiful location, next to a little lake and strawberry farm (where you can go for fruit picking as well). I started with a coffee, I ordered flat white and it was a really REALLY good cup of coffee. I met the owner of the place,Tony, as well and had a small conversation with him. He is a very friendly and happy kind of person. Then i tried a beer on tap they had, it was some Japanese beer which was nice too and with that i had some curry fries, i tell you as an Indian that the curry on top of those fries was exactly how we make at home. Next time when i will be in Sunshine Coast i will make sure that i spend more time at this amazing place.

I used to enjoy a coffee here when they served coffee in real cups for dine in customers. Interesting that they'll now only serve coffee in a takeaway cup and yet food is served with real plates and cutlery(?!?). Has COVID made them to lazy to wash cups? It's a lovely location and coffee is usually good but let's hope they review their coffee serving policy for the sake of the environment and a better tasting coffee.

GURU Life is set in such a.beautiful quiet setting. Great coffee heaps with plenty of under cover room. Plenty of room for kids. Lunch was excellent. Amazing layout out back abutting the duck pond. Cold beer on tap and management and staff are so helpful. Wish I had discovered this secret little spot just minutes from Maroochydore sooner!

Heard about this place through word of mouth. Absolutely loved it, went for lunch and sat in shaded backyard we had three adults and a dog. Very relaxing environment with a menu full of real goodness. I had a stay bowl and we also had satay chicken, absolutely delicious. Nice selection of cocktails which were winners. Finished Lunch with an awesome coffee.

Fantastic little out of the way place. Quite quirky, lovely setting on a pond with ducks. Menu limited but food great. We had the breakfast burger OMG how good. Staff very good, very cheery. Eco friendly establishment, well worth the trip. Parking can be tricky if you enter the wrong way.

What a beautiful experience for my day to start with my daily coffee and breakfast at Guru Life. The barista Kerry is one of the friendliest and funniest person in the world. She makes my ice coffee taste like ice cream, even though, they don't actually own ice cream. I do hope the ducks will be back soon in the pond, as I miss walking past them, after 4x4 parking on the parking lot. The bread that goes with the scrambled eggs is truly delicious. The only thing missing to Guru Life, to please myself to the max, is a personal masseuse, unfit if possible, as well as some ice cream stock, that I could have unlimited access to. Once this wish is approved, I can truly state that Guru Life is the only one and true paradise on earth. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Regards.

Was so excited as a returning customer to try the vegan options. Ordered "Pack my Bowl w/ Crispy Tofu" but the tofu was barely warmed and definitely NOT crispy. Yet the satay sauce was divine and salad was incredible. So sad.

Driving past we spotted this random place. Had to turn back and check it out. So glad we did. Fun and funky place. Lovely coffee and great atmosphere. Staff friendly and menu will have you coming back. Dog friendly and overlooking water with it's birdlife. I'm sure we will be stopping by for another visit before we leave the surrounding area...... Back again with dogs and Auntie in tow this time. So nice to be able to bring the dog we are minding and enjoy more good food.

What can I say about this hidden gem. Firstly the best bloody Mary’s anywhere, ever, period! They’re a work of art and handcrafted by the wonderful staff there. The coffee is also amazing! Secondly the location. What a magnificent place to enjoy a coffee, food or drink than right by the lake in a tropical setting. Thirdly the food is spectacular. Think Indian inspired street foods with plenty of vegetarian options (try the cheesy paratha and thank me later) Lastly, and very importantly, it’s doggy friendly so our four legged family can come hang out for a leisurely brunch. We always leave guru a little happier and chilled out than we walked in (may have something to do with the Bloody Mary). Check it out, you won’t regret it

Guru Life is the epitome of Zen. Staff were super friendly and chill, atmosphere was ambient and calm, needless to say that food was light yet robust. Strangely, it felt like I had a detox eating the vegetarian option of their big brekkie, and it left me wanting more. Their other options are great and filling too, and full of vibrant colors. A very unexpectedly good brunch place in a less known area!

Went here for breakfast and observed it to be a very busy cafe and well frequented by locals. Outside tables could have done with a wipe over but they are outside in a garden area so no doubt the vegetation drops bits on the tables. Some of the seats could do with a repair but they suit the vibe of the cafe so can be overlooked. Coffee was good; breakfast good except the bacon which was exceptional as i like bacon well cooked and service prompt. Ambience out at the pond area really nice. Staff helpful.

Worth a visit but more so probably on the weekends when they have some jazz or music groove happening. A beautiful spot by the duckpond. Shared a brekkie burger which was really lovely and the relish on it was divine. The staff were lovely and they were thoughtful to have cut the burger in half and provide a second plate. Unfortunately we had ordered coffees at the same time, that didn't arrive until waaaay after the burger was just a memory. Purchased some strawberries that were as perfect as they could be.

Quite a nice atmosphere as an eating area but the staff don’t make you feel welcome. There is also no proper cutlery just disposable wood knives and forks which made it next to impossible to eat the bigger breakfast meal which was certainly delicious, don’t get me wrong, just impossible to eat with a tiny wooden fork. Very simple things that can be changed so in my opinion the potential is there for something wonderful!

Guru has the BEST coffee on the Coast. They never have an off day. The food is gorgeous, and the setting is phenomenal. It is the most tranquil, chilled place. Frequent breakfast spot for me, in one of the most beautiful spots on the Sunshine Coast. Out of the hustle and bustle of the town, surrounded by amazing fauna and to top it off the food is always amazing. House made ingredients, fresh and delicious! Staff are really cruisy and laid back. I had my birthday celebrations at guru life and we were fortunate enough to be able hire out the venue as well as have some of the most amazing food I have ever experienced! The staff were beyond perfect the way handled everything was with the utmost professionalism and kindness. The guru life cafe is a cute and quaint little place. The styling is pallet /chic which is quite popular at the moment. There was a dog there when we visited, so assuming it's dog friendly which is a great as there aren't many in the area. The coffee was good, the food was a decent size and really yummy, although it is a little on the expensive side.

The coffee was mediocre. The space out back is nice to chill in but it's a bit run down. The construction tape gives it a "all the tourists have moved on from this resort" feel. I was expecting a little more from all of the hype.

Edit: I've rethought my original rating. I'm OK with paying what I did because it was worth it. I'll leave my original thoughts here for posterity. Nice setting. The fowl and ducks can be noisy. But, if you don't feed them they won't come. Hint hint. Don't feed the wildlife. Expensive, but expected for the style of café/food. I should mention this is the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars - I just dislike paying close to $30 for a vegetarian breakfast and coffee. Good assortment of tastes and textures from the sunny side up pan (I think that's what it's called). Tastes fantastic!
