🤍✨ICING HILL✨🤍 @icinghill.brisbane Location: 1 Commercial Rd, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006 Rating: 4/5✨ have been eyeing @icinghill.brisbane for YEARSSSS, and finally got to visit for brunch! they are famous for their desserts i knowww but i heard their brunch was underrated and had to try🤭🥰🤩 we got ✨🍽: 🍝🍤 salted egg yolk pasta with prawns ($21): this was soooo packed with salted egg!! very impressed!! many other places advertise their menu items with salted egg but the flavour is very bland or subtle but this is the very opposite!!🥰🤩if you love salted egg you must try this!! pasta was cooked beautifully and the prawns were so fresh and delicious!! visually so beautiful as well🤩🤤the portion i would say is a little small? but luckily it’s not tooooo expensive as i’ve seen places with the same portion but more pricey~ 🌭🍳breaky dog ($10): this dish was originally $15 but it was their monthly special🤩🥰incredibly fluffy brioche bun with layers of sautéed spinach, fluffy egg omelette, two hash browns and a stunning drizzle of spicy mayo this was soooo loaded and filling oh my, such bargain for $10🤩🥳a pretty good dish!!! 🍉watermelon frappe ($6.5): this was so refreshing and delicious!! super super fresh and not sticky sweet or fake like other places~ great for a hot day! 🍊fresh orange ($6): how ADORABLE is this glass?! a freaking light bulb are you kidding, love it, nothing else to say really, you can’t go wrong with a fresh orange, refreshing and yum! conclusion, highly recommend @icinghill.brisbane their quality here is incredible and presentation is 🤩🥳unfortunately we were too full from it to try their desserts, but definitely next time!🥰

Finally visited Icing Hill after having been to their newer sister store Cache Cache a few times. They first came across my radar for their sweet cakes and dessert offerings, but on this visit we were satisfied with just the savoury mains which are equally impressive. Apart for the sweet stuff in the display cabinet, they serve an all-day breakfast menu, a selection of pastries in a separate cabinet, and a range of drinks. There is also a specials menu on the wall. Ordering and payment is at the counter, and there is self-service water plus some newspapers available. I really enjoyed my pasta dish - everything was just cooked perfectly including the texture and char on the prawns, and the fried leek element gave it another dimension of aromatic adornment. Wifey’s choice of eggs benny was really good too - this is not something I’d usually go for but I could appreciate the generous amount of mushroom included and the eggs themselves which were superbly poached. There are a few other variants of the benny croissant with different proteins going up to $21, and you can also switch out the croissant for sourdough or waffle. Saw a few other tables order the Ben Ben Chicken Wings which looked really good too, so I’ve earmarked it for next time. It’s not often you see something that features fermented tofu so if you know what this is you’ll know it’s a punchy element (and maybe a bit of an acquired taste). Our order: * salty egg yolk & king prawn pasta, $21 - spaghettini pasta with curry leaf cream sauce, salty egg yolk, pumpkin, onion, zucchini, garlic, chilli, fried leek * benny croissant with mushroom & halloumi cheese, $18 - fresh baked croissant, baby spinach, apple cider hollandaise sauce, Chinese pickles, chives Notes: * Icing Hill is located on the ground floor of the Broadway on Ann building (apartment block) * There is some customer parking available in the building’s car park (enter from Commercial Rd), however spaces are limited and it was full when I went even though the cafe itself was no more than 50% occupied at the time * You can get 10% when paying with Payo (new users can sign-up with my code EWXG4S to get $10 credit after your first payment)

Went for Christmas brunch. Was nice. The cakes were good and looked very nice! Only downside was the parking, I would suggest finding street parking instead as there are limited and very cramped parking spaces below.

Worth every penny 🍽 Been to many popular awarded Cafe but none has yet lived up to expectations until Icinghill. Ice coffee was good. Not too bitter and not too sweet despite there was ice cream in it. The portion is good for the money also. Bonus point for using glass straw instead of plastic. Croissant was crisp & fragrant. Sauce was delicious. Bacon could be more crispier and better to use streak instead of middle. Poached egg was a bit undercooked for my tasted. The star of the dish is the pickle but unfortunately, only 2 small pieces. Pasta was absolutely delicious. Noodle & prawns cooked perfectly. Salted egg flavour is not too overwhelming. Unfortunately the portion is not enough for a big eater. I dont mind paying extra, hopefully the next time i go here they will have an option for a bigger dish. Small suggestion: staffs should come out to engage with customers instead of having 3 to 4 people jam packed behind counter.

I love cakes, I cannot lie. And Icinghills cakes are so good, which I can’t deny! 🎤🎼 Back to the review - I ordered for myself the durian mousse, the taro cake and the watermelon cake. And yes, I pig out without any shame. The thing is, with their cakes, it’s so light and just outrageously delicious. We even had them catered for our wedding morning tea and everyone loved their cakes - their tiramisu was divine. 🤤🥇 If you have time to drop by Icinghill, please do. It’s worth it. Their cakes never disappoint everytime we go there for our weekend treats. 🥰❤️

I had the lamb croquette with a cappuccino, and my partner had chicken wings. We both thought that all the food was tasty. I saw a review saying that the lamb croquette portion size is small, and whilst i kind of agree, the size was big enough for me. They were also the only cafe in the area i saw that was open on Easter Sunday so thank you for being open! :)

We had a lovely time at this cafe for high tea. Everything is freshly made on the spot as I could see through the glass window. Lots of nice little cakes 🍰 nice atmosphere. Just a bit tricky to get parking around the area but catching public transport is easy.

I ordered a rose watermelon cake for my son's birthday. The staff was very accommodating when I had to make changes to the order. My husband and I picked up the cake on the due date and also stayed to enjoy a meal with coffee and cake. Both the cake, coffee and food were delicious. This cafe is to close to the Emporium and offers a select range of cakes and desserts. Staff were very friendly. The place has good ambience and was clean. Price-wise is more towards the pricier end however they do have cake selections that are uncommon such as the watermelon sponge cake.

Everything was amazing. From the simple but aesthetic decor to how beautifully presented the cakes were. But what really blew me away is the quality of the food and cakes. The souffle pancakes were perfect!!! Usually I leave a little disappointed with souffle pancakes because people make it a little too eggy for my taste but Icing Hill's souffle pancakes are divine. Perfect in every yummy way. The serving was a little huge though, I'd recommend sharing. One other standout for me are the cakes!! Finally, crepe cake! I've been hankering for these since my last visit to Asia 😭 the watermelon cake was absolutely exquisite, the perfect taste of light and refreshing too! I can't wait to go back!

July 19' Haven't been out to Icing Hill for a while so we decided to come have breakfast here today. Upon walking in no greeting, got the menus ourselves (wait staff busy making coffee). Food was very average today. Eggs on both meals where overcooked and the meal was just bland in general. Coffee was great though! Dec 18' Been here a few times!! Good food, good coffee and great desserts!!

Pancake takes more than 40 minutes. it taste good and come with bubbles and berries, but a little bit to sweet for Asians. Do recommend order it with tea or coffee. Taro milk tea is worse than Coco and it’s too expensive. Hope the cashier could be more friendly .

Came here to try their cakes. We tried Durian Crepes Cake, Durian Mango Mousse and French Opera cake, they were good. The coffee was not my liking though, but it is still ok. Their food are also nice. Reasonable price with decent size. If you're not a big eater, you can share. Free car park in building.

I called early morning at 730am to order a rose watermelon cake on New year eve and collected the day itself at noon time. I heard from my friend that sometimes the cake sold off quickly, glad they have it on New Year eve. When I collected the cake, I also bought a slice of taro cake and durian custard cake. The rose watermelon cake is so far the most beautiful fresh fruit cake that I have seen, the texture of the cake is nice too. The price of the cake is dear... however you only celebrate birthday once a year 😃

I really enjoyed sitting in for breakfast in this beautiful cafe! The staff were friendly, my mini breakfast set was perfect with fresh squeezed orange juice, great coffee and lots of space. There were some large tables to accommodate groups and kid-friendly with books, toys and plastic cups and plates etc. Will definitely be back!

With some stiff competition in the area, IcingHill has definitely found it's place as a dessert cafe. As others have said, the savoury meals aren't anything to particularly write home about. Where IcingHill exceeds is it's excellent dessert and drinks menu. The vast majority of their desserts are made instore and their drinks are right on point. Having the Chai latte and a cappuccino previously. The layout and design of the cafe is nice and pleasant to the eyes, however some days can be a little small due to the rising popularity of the place. Overall great experience and i can definitely see myself returning.

Being almost dead centre of the valley I assumed this place was going to be mega expensive, well let me just say I was pleasantly surprised. The food is not only adequately priced (Australia expensive man) but is actually really great. We ordered two eggs Benny with bacon, both me and my girlfriend completely neglected each other to enjoy the food it was that good. Drinks are lovely too. we got some fresh juice and coffee. Awesome. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Cannot recommend enough, cannot wait to come back.

There is my favourite coffee shop in Brisbane, excellent cafe, especially when is made by Kezia because taste perfect and delicious, she is a lovely girl, I appreciate her amazing customer service. I feel like at home when I sit for a cafe at Icing Hill. The food is good, but for my taste the scramble eggs is too oily and the pastries are pretty good taste.

This place has become our new favourite cake shop in Brisbane. We ordered the matcha crepe cake for a birthday celebration this week. It was very well received at the party and the birthday lady certainly enjoyed it. The ordering process was seamless and staff was easy to deal with. We previously had bought the rose watermelon cake from the store and it was also delicious. I'd recommend this place for cakes if you prefer something that's not overly sweet.

On weekdays, there's a fantastic deal for a coffee and bacon and egg muffin for $7, which is good because they cook their hot food fresh, and the bacon and eggs are consistently very tasty

The place looks very pretty and the staff serving us was friendly too. The food was decent but my friend and I ordered the iced matcha latte and the mermaid Chai latte were disappointing. The matcha latte wasn't cold and was luke warm with ice cubes when served. Taste wise they were average at best. It was advertised as having free parking but there's very limited parking so we had to park on street with parking meter. There were a lot of mosquitoes around the cushion area so stay away. In general it was a very pretty cafe and cakes, great for photos but I don't think id go there if I want high quality delicious foods.

Have a look at their aesthetically pleasing cakes and desserts and tell me they're not visual masterpieces. I actually feel a little bad eating these works of art... In addition, you would think that a place called Icing Hill wouldn't create delicious savory foods, well you thought wrong mate. I had this flat out amazing ham cheese toasted bagel that tasted like heaven, slow cooked ham off the bone resting gently in a bed of cheese. I was astounded. They also have great coffee, endlessly helpful and friendly staff and are reasonably priced, so it's just a winning hand.
