Delicious pizza with amazing view of the Brisbane city and the river! It gets very crowded on the weekends, so I recommend to get a reservation for smooth entering. Weekdays are usually fine! We tried 4 diffrent pizzas, all very delicious but the pepperoni was the best!! It was exceptional!

What a great view overlooking the city and river. Joey's is very strategically located on the Kangaroo Point cliffs for walkers, cyclists and tourists alike. It opens early for those early birds out to beat the summer heat. I just had a coffee which was nice, so I can't comment on the food. The service was friendly, and I'll definitely go back.

One of the best view in Brisbane by the river. I PROMISE💖 Joey offers best coffee! As well as many other cakes, and food. Perfect anytime of the day with friends, your love one or just yourself. I came here just to wind down after a long hours of work, I felt relaxed just watching the city cat passing by. Food was cold. Ceiling fans Were on full blast on a already cool evening. We were cold and asked multiple staff to turn them off or down, but no joy. Our food got chilled before we could get it to our lips. The service was a little slow and lackluster. The nice view didn't quite make up for the problems.

I have visited twice, once with my sister when we sort of “stumbled” on and once when I took my wife on the spur of the moment. The location is spectacular and, both times, we were fortunate to get a table near the edge. Once was for a coffee and treat and once was for a full lunch. The views were just so beautiful, the service was great and the food was very good! Very happy and we will return! For busy times it is probably a good idea to book though.

This review is only for breakfast. This place probably has the best dining views in brisbane. However I wasnt too impressed with the food. The superfood bowl had too much of lentil in it which made it too dry. The other dish I had was like an egg fritter as in the pic which was ok. However, its the best place to take someone out for a peaceful breakfast/lunch with great city views. So 4 star for the Views.

We went to the restaurant for dinner around sunset, even though the weather was not extremely good, the view was still brilliant. The staff are friendly. The pizza was nice but the pasta for my prawn pasta looks a bit funny (it'd be great if they could change this dish to prawn spaghetti or fettuccine), the price is quite reasonable. It'd be good if there have more choices on light meal and dessert.

The service was very good, the coffee was good, and location was great. The food looked very good but was pretty ordinary. The Bioche (pictured)looked amazing, but it was cold and it wasn't toasted. The mushroom frittata had mushrooms, but was really flavorless. I'd struggle to want to go back sorry.

My friends and I have been occasionally coming here for breakfast over many years, having seen a number of different owners and name changes. We really like the way it is now. The food and coffee is great, and of course the location is superb, overlooking the Brisbane river. Perhaps what makes it even better now is the service, very well-staffed with energetic, efficient and friendly young people. That always makes dining out a more enjoyable experience.

I think 4 stars is an accurate rating as Joey's is definitely a safe choice. I think the pizza was good but pricey. The view is probably the main highlight and if you can get a seat next to the cliffside you are getting a 5 star experience.

Amazing views, however our lunch time meals were a big disappointment. Salads lacked flavour and portions were scant. The calamari on the grilled calamari salad had not been anywhere near a grill. The pizza topping was reduced, with a significant part of the edge left bare. Have dined here many times and not sure what has happened. Very busy, however that should not impact on the quality of the food. Wait staff were good. Thank you for response. Actually we paid for the meals we ordered. We declined dessert and coffee, but were then offered these "on the house". We did have the complementary coffees which were excellent.

Lovely views of Brisbane CBD. Great vibe, good cocktails and good service. If you go after noon, ask for a table in the shade otherwise you get stuck at a table with the sun burning your skin. Not to mention the heat. We unfortunately had to leave after 2 hours, as they had a time limit, but we sadly weren't informed when we booked. They were really polite about it but it was a bummer we had to leave. I'm impressed with this place. I would definitely go back. It's very popular and always busy so be sure to book.

We love going here for breakfast (have yet to come for lunch or dinner) & would always order the same thing (breakfast burger & fruit plate). They got rid of the fruit plate (which is a bummer) but their acai bowl is a good alternative. Parking can be difficult but good wait staff, good coffee, good vibes / atmosphere & great views! When you walk into Joey's you find yourself saying "Of course this is what this venue needs to be!". Kinda like what Rick Shores did with their location at Burleigh Heads... both with uncompromising views. Easily the best cityscape in Brisbane. Open aired so you're exposed to the elements a bit. They have H2O misters throughout, lots of fans and plantation shutters to help manage the weather. Food is on point in terms of what you want for this type of venue. Light and fresh seafood, and easy to share pizzas (wood-fired!). I usually find myself sticking to beer and wine but will treat myself to a cocktail when I'm in the right mood. I can tell you that I got there right away when my partner and I visited. The Palomino 👌 🍸🤗. Service was also easily above average. Staff made an effort to be hospitable and didn't miss a beat. Will be back often!

My husband and I live across the road and were so excited for this place to open. We first had breakfast there which was amazing! That amazing that we returned for after work drinks and food the same day. Breakfast was 9/10 and dinner 10/10. The mushroom pizza was especially good. Great wine and cocktail list. The service was also super friendly and attentive. Both times we visited I was looking a bit “sloppy” and felt more than welcome

I decided on an early morning coffee but I forgot my mask. I was actually given one so I could dine in. Sour dough toast was very tasty and I followed up with banana bread which was the icing on the cake. The coffee is a nice brew too, hence I had two🤣. The disappointment was having to use the same utensils for my banana bread as my sour dough...when I ordered my sour dough my utensils were placed back on my dirty serviette to use again. Apart from that it was great so I'll definitely go back 😎

I love this place, the starter pizza sticks with that cheesy sauce is to flippen die for!! Been here twice and the 2nd time i brought my partner here. We will be back together as he enjoyed his visit aswel. Theres little woolen blankets for when it gets chilly as this place is located on a cliff, theres also heaters everywhere. Theres a gorgeous view of the city and river... The service is amazing. I can't wait to come back and visit again soon

We managed to sneak in here on Saturday for an impromptu date night, and were certainly impressed. Looks amazing in the day time with the cute decor, and just as magnificent at night. Really well done on the renovation, improved the place a million times over! Chilling on the cliffs overlooking the twinkling city lights whilst chowing down on delicious eats was truly superb. The tuna tacos were magical and the mortadella and burrata pizza was 👌 The staff were really nice and attentive and the mezcal pineapple margarita was one of the best I've had! Smokey goodness in a glass! Overall a great dining experience and would definately go back. Sit back, enjoy the vibes!

The place was fantastic with a very nice view on the Brisbane river. The most interesting and almost unique about this place was the behaviour of the staff. They were great. I had a pancake for breakfast which was a little bit weird. They served it with something like cheese! first time, but good. BTW, the photo is another food called classic egg.

Food was average. Service was excellent and friendly. We had a Prawn pizza and the Fritto Misto (deep fried tiny seafood bits) The prawn pizza had 6x prawns and 8x slices. Who misses out on prawns? $22. Not good enough. That's 25% of the pizza with no prawns Fritto Misto only had a tiny dollop of dipping sauce. $19 1x disgusting toilet available for entire bar/restaurant, and it's at public toilet levels. To give an idea on the style of toilet, there is a syringe disposal bin inside and urine on the brown stained beige tiles. Apparently they need to cater to junkies. You need a key that's hanging on a spoon (like a petrol station) to visit, it's out on the street and smells horribly of week old urine. Truly a horrible experience to the end of dinner. This place could be great, but just needs to be a little better with the food. And somehow really needs to have a clean toilet inside. Time for some Tetris?

Cutest little wood fired pizza joint (also has other food). Boho, beach feels, overlooking the river! Absolutely beautiful. Loved the vibe and service. Sunday morning 14th March 2021. Greeted quickly but was advised by the young hostess that the there was no room at the moment and that the wait time for food is long also. I appreciate her letting us know that they were busy rather than not knowing. We decided to wait and dine in anyway. It was about 30 mins before we got a seat in the shaded section. Food came out 15 - 20 mins later. The man with the dark hair in a bun serving us was super friendly and attentive. Thanks for being so nice. The eggs on toast was nice but I found the scrambled egg texture a bit strange. How do you make the eggs? It doesn't have the fluffy texture I'm use to. And the pesto was a bit runny (looked like pesto mixed with avo?). My friend had the granola bowl which looked refreshing and delicious on the hot morning. The view was nice of course. The picnic table area needs way more shade though Overall ambience is nice and relaxing. Would suggest adding a bit more options to the breakfast menu - simple is nice but maybe 2 more dishes would give us more options.

Finally this place is brought up to its full potential! A really nice evening time with friends it was! We went for a coffee anded up having a light snack during sunset. The view is spectacular. The best possible view of Brisbane CBD and skyline you can find in a cafe or a restaurant. The location overlooks the river from river terrace road, the breeze is delughtful and refreshing. Coffee was quite good. Barista seems to be taken seriously, not just complementing the menu. The menu is right for lunch or light snacks. Deversified enough with comfort food. We had the Margarita pizza. Well prepared, fresh ingredients, served sizzling hot and just the right crust. Staff are friendly, smiling and attentive. Our orders arrived timely and well served. This is the first business to open in this location that had that many customers at one time. The overall atmosphere of the place is really pleasant. Music is not loud, so you would enjoy a conversation. Lighting is just at the right tone. Decor is tropical, staff wearing lenin outfits. I guess the business is going in the right direction, for sure. Hope all the qualities are maintained. Wish them all the best.

Cannot rave about this place enough! From the minute our bubbly host Zoe greeted us, the experience was outstanding. The location and views are sensational, the service was warm, attentive and professional without being overbearing... the cocktails were delish with great recommendations from the staff and the food, the food was insanely good! We ordered several of the starters to share and everything was incredible. We were blown away by Joeys and can't wait to go back!

Came here with my partner on 15th Feb, dinner service/around sunset. Such a great venue with a beautiful view of the city and river. Service was perfect and very attentive. Loved everything we ordered - squid, prawn salad, fish tacos and the chips omg...amazing. Had a watermelon cocktail which was great and husband enjoyed his beer. Had lunch at 1pm on a Thursday so parking wasn't a problem. As it had been booked the table was waiting for us and we were seated with minimal fuss. Ordered drinks off the menu which arrived promptly, unfortunately no Nz wines on the list for my wife. Plenty of staff on so service was no problem and our starters arrived promptly and were very tasty. A nice gap to mains which were a perfectly cooked steak med rare and gnocchi made on site which was spot on. Ordered chips which were a bit of a surprise being shoe string fries as we thought they my have been rustic cut chips or along those lines but still fine with the aioli. Great view and a nice atmosphere to go with everything else.

Fabulous views from the restaurant, friendly happy staff who want to serve you, meals were very pricey and very basic. We had a pizza for 26.00 and it was thin, dry and very skimpy. 24 hour coffee and cake outside, as restaurant can never close.

Food is middle of the road, the fries were actually better than the steak and pizza we ordered despite the bowl being full of little bits of inedible batter, steak was barely room temperature and they had sprinkled toppings over half the pizza and left the other half basically empty. They also asked for a tip at the end during payment which really rubbed me the wrong way, this is Australia, pay your staff a living wage. View was nice, service was ok, food was pretty slow to come out, Bonus: there's bearded dragon lizards running around everywhere as you eat.

Stunning location positioned at the top of the Kangaroo Point cliffs. Spectacular vistas of the brisbane river and city skyline. Service was quick and efficient, however waitstaff were too quick with clearing plates, resulting in you feeling rushed and pressured to leave the table/move on. (Literally the second you finished your plate was cleared, despite others in the group not finishing their meals yet). Not a huge range of options for those with specific dietary needs or concerns. Quite a reasonable range of cocktails and drinks.

The location is great and the place is nice, but you have to be lucky and have one of the good spots (we weren’t). The cocktails are good but it is very expensive for what they give you. The don’t have an extensive menu list. Pizzas are great but overpriced from my point of view. I just felt a little bit pushed to order more drinks and food (when our intention was just to have a cocktail during the sunset). PS: I felt surprised for the overcharge (25$) as a public holiday when it wasn’t actually. It was during easter period but not one of the public holidays.

Another fantastic experience from Ondi and the team at Joeys! A fantastic relaxed ambiance, stunning views, great coffee, and the breakfast burger is exceptional. For cyclists, sitting around the corner, at the front, gives two advantages, city views and can see the bikes against the rail 👌

The atmosphere, drinks and service is impeccable. Quite a small food menu with a few gluten and dairy free options. I ordered the chop chop salad which was supposed to come with mango but didn’t. When I flagged this with our server she apologised and said we must have been given the old menu as it’s been updated, and the salad now doesn’t have mango (as it’s not in season). The salad as is was quite plain and very lettuce heavy. She was really understanding and rectified the situation quickly. The food is the only reason I’m not giving Joeys 5 stars.

View is brilliant! A wonderful location to watch the sun disappear over the Brisbane City skyline. Cheeseboard was overpriced for what it is, and additionally was let down by the presentation. The pizza (mortadella and burrata) was delicious - would highly recommend! However, the waitress did confuse our order initially and bought out the burrata and tomato starter dish. Service was slow and we felt ignored a lot. After sitting down it took over 15 minutes to get someone's attention to order a drink, and throughout the time we were there it felt like we had to fight to get the attention to order anything. Probably would have spent more money if we were given the opportunity.

Myself and a friend had breakfast at this cafe on a Sunday morning recently and we received excellent service from the staff, especially one staff member who, without being asked, brought a new saucer for my coffee which had slopped over onto the original, and also brought a new napkin later when I’d used my first. This was on top of just generally making us feel welcome, asking us if we wanted more coffees, and providing timely table service. The customer service in this cafe is excellent. The food is very good, perhaps a little pricey, but you won’t get the beautiful views of the river and city in a cheaper cafe. Apparently open nights until quite late, too. I must ry a nighttime meal there - the view would be magical.

My wife has had several lunchtime visits with friends to Joey's and insisted I went with her to check it out for myself. I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, and could not be faulted in any way. What really made this an awesome experience was the service. The staff were efficient, professional, and their attention to detail was something I have not experienced for a very long time in any restaurants around Brisbane. The manger "Ondi" has really done an exceptional job in staff training, and it is definitely noticeable. Credit to you Ondi, we will be back.

They have a total of two outdoor gas heaters which don't heat the area at all. Wearing a jacket and gloves was insufficient for the weather experienced. I suppose it would be nice enough on a warmer night but I would definitely avoid this place all winter and any cold night.

Until another waitress wear black came to give us pizza and asked us if we still waiting for other dishes then we told her so we can finally get our starters.

They came drenched in maple syrup, with only a very small amount of ricotta (max 1tbs) and two mint leaves. For $19 I would hope for a bit of fruit +/- ice cream just to make it more interesting. 1. Food and cocktails were overpriced for what you got served. Feedback for the restaurant: I'd recommend removing iceberg lettuce from your salad options. Both salad options featured this type of lettuce. The lettuce was served cut in very big chunks and leaves not separated - was not enjoyable to eat at all. 2. Crab linguine was one of the most expensive items on the menu at $38 and the menu specifically states that it is served in a bag. Can confirm it was not served in a bag and when the staff was queried their response was that it is cooked in a bag. Feedback for the restaurant: update your menu as it is very misleading. 3. Cocktails were not very tasty. 4. Pizzas were the the saviour of the evening and prompted me to give this restaurant 3 stars. They were cooked really well and tasted good. I'd recommend the seafood marinara. 5. I'd pass on the dessert. We tried both the pavlova and panacotta. Nothing special. This place definitely needs some work to improve. I guess you pay for the views.... I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this restaurant to others.

On a recent trip to Brissy we stopped in here for a lunch. From what I've been told from the locals, this restaurant is fairly new to the city. The view you get from this restaurant is amazing, over looking the brisbane river and the CBD buildings. There are plenty of options on the menu to choose from. The staff are very welcoming. Although the grapefruit in the grapefruit spritz wasn't fresh, the watermelon margarita had too much salt in it, the table we sat at was on a huge lean and the ham and olive pizza wasn't cooked completely. Visited joeys for coffee dining in last Monday m for table of 4 around 8.30am. No one had attended to our table (which they provide table service) so we had to go up to ask if we order at the bar or via table service. Highly recommend for food allergies / anaphylaxis I suffer from anaphylaxis and very rarely eat out. My friends booked Joey’s for a girls’ lunch so I thought I would ring them in advance on the off chance that they could cater for me. I spoke with Zoemma who was incredibly accommodating and very confident they could cater for me. I nervously turned up for lunch however, this was quickly appeased. The chef prepared my meal completely separately - a delicious rib fillet and salad. I cannot thank Zoemma and the chefs for allowing me to experience the dining out privilege that many take for granted. Will definitely be back.

Location location location. I'm so glad to see something decent finally atop the Kangaroo Point Cliff's. Booked online for a birthday brunch and it was very simple to use. Coffee is great, they are pouring Bellissimo Coffee. Brunch menu is simple but well thought out, offering a range of dishes from light eats to a big brekky. Poached eggs on toast was okay. They give one and a half slices of toast which I just find odd. Once slice is sufficient. The half toast makes your costings on the plate more apparent... the pesto on the plate is that Wattle*? Brand that is strong on vinegar. Not my fav. The Purezza system seemed to be out of gas, and cooling, so the soda water was like warm flat black and gold soda left over after a party. The staff were really lovely for the most part. BUT. At 12.05, a young girl that we hadn't had see us earlier came over with the bill and said "this table is booked at 12, we need you to pay and leave". My cousin still had half a cup of coffee, and the time was 1205... we got up, told to take a seat if there was one on the picnic tables that were baking hot. Like Sahara dessert. I had to suggest we get a take away coffee cup for my friends drink. At least give us a 15 minute warning, particularly when our last round of coffees were forgotten. 3 stars for okay poachies and lovely staff up until 1205pm....

Being a Kangaroo Point local I was excited to see what the new cliffs cafe looked like and I must say the new fitout gives it a vibe and is more professional looking to compliment the best view in Brisbane. I tried Joey’s out with a couple of friends in its 2nd week of trade where the place was heaving. I must say there are still a couple teething issues especially with service which seemed slowish and at times disorganised with half over meal coming out very delayed. The food was ok but some of the items didn’t quite hit the mark yet and the cocktails we tried were hit and miss too where the Pineapple marg was only passable once I asked it to be remade, the grapefruit spritz shined though and tasted like Christmas in a glass. I will be back maybe in a couple of weeks/months once the team has found their groove and look to see how it progresses for the area.

1st time visitor and througly enjoyed our short dining experience. We ordered the bacon and egg roll and a juice and all 3 of us had no complaints. Bathroom facilities were clean and the views were one of the best in the city. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. The menu prices appeared to be about average for the city if not fractionally more but the quality of the food was top notch , service staff friendly and helpful and the view spectacular on a lovely sunny morning.
