Service was good. Food was slow. The Hibachi dishes were good, would have like both dishes to be served at the same time and the calamari to be warm. It arrived cold. The miso soup was way too salty.

With a moody interior, with lots of red and neon lighting, Kenjin hopes to take you on a journey from dining to partying, and I'm all for it. Highlights: the potato okonomiyaki. Loved it so much, we ordered two. (Seriously, I could come back and demolish five of these alone.) Eye fillet was cooked beautifully too. It was served on mash, with mushrooms and there was this sauce that was poured over, that was delicate, but highlighted the Japanese influence, with that dashi umami-ness. This would have been one of my favourite Japanese places, if the sashimi had been as good as the other food. I'm not sure if it was a one off, but the sashimi wasn't fresh and was actually difficult to eat. Grapefruit Paloma was a little too bitter for my liking. Lastly, would have loved a knife and fork - is anyone actually able to eat steak and saucey mash with chopsticks??

had our anniversary dinner here, the food was amazing! fresh and full of flavour, service was fantastic very friendly staff and accomodating. the cocktails were delicious and everything was very reasonably priced. The restaurant had a lovely feel and atmosphere. will definitely return again :)

Very nice staff, interior decor and ambient playlist. Restaurant has an overall chill and modern club-like vibe (think Chin Chin, but nowhere near as loud). Food was delicious, but some dishes were a little overpriced. You're basically paying a premium for the vibe of the place, which is good for a date. The cocktails were also fantastic, very tasty.

Fantastic place! Food amazingly superb! Staff friendly and efficient. After enjoying your delicious meal, head out the back to Kenjin after dark for a amazing nightclub. Big and spacious, good beats with great sound system and lighting. Very enjoyable

Staff were ok. But the atmosphere wasn't what was expected. Was expecting more of a restaurant than a night club with food.... The food was good but was very expensive. For a Japanese restaurant I expected sake, they had 5 on the menu (from memory) but didn't have any at all in stock.... The music was too loud as well for 7pm, but maybe thats just me.

Really nice food, great service and at a reasonable price. My only complaint was the espresso ordered after dinner wasn't really an espresso. The lotus chip dip was really very tasty and the pork bellys vinaigrette was sublime. Recommended for a date night or fun time with friends.

Went at 6pm on a Friday night and we were the only people eating so the service was great and the food was good. But was just odd being the only ones eating! There's a nightclub out back but we were there too early to check it out but it looked ok....just wary the pics on socials make it seem more than what it is atmosphere wise.

Food was really good, but the staff totally forgot about us. Had to go up to the bar to get dessert, more drinks etc., then they started piling up chairs next to our table... Wasn't late and nobody in the club. I don't think they gave quite figured out the nightclub / restaurant balance yet.

Have been to kenjin quite a few times on fridays and Saturday’s, one particular night for dinner our server, Justin, was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for us! Also their cocktails are delicious! Definitely recommend.

Probably the best service we received while in Brisbane! Staff were very friendly and receptive, and went over and above to make sure we enjoyed all aspects of our experience! Food is delicious, alternative takes on a few dishes which is always fun. Can recommend the Moreton bay bug buns and the gyoza! Definitely a fun dinner vibe to kick start a night out.

The case when the reality exceeds the expectation! The food presentation was very eye-catching and the taste was just a delicious! 👌 Looks like they have a really good cook. Went here for our work Xmas function Dinner, and it did not dissappoint! We all had the Banquet which was amazing and the Matri'd, and Chefs were very accomodating to our dietary needs. Great wine list, so happy to see Oyster Bay on the list! super cool fit out and vibe to this place too. ! highly recommend.

Had a great experience for our 3rd Anniversary, Justin helped us out a bunch throughout our booking and the rest of the staff helped us out through the duration of our booking. The food is great, the drink is great and I could not recommend this place highly enough as a unique experience, but also the service you receive is quite high. Do recommend you get in and give it a try.

The food is incredible and has never let me down! Service is a 10/10, if you are looking to have unreal food then book kenjin! Complimentary to the dining, if you like do have a drink or enter a club scene then kenjin afterdark is by far the best club to ever open in Brisbane! Atmosphere and music I can’t get enough of!!

The food was very nice and the staff did a great job. The high tables are a bit awkward to sit at and it would be nice if the music was more suttle to allow for a more intimate experience. Overall I enjoyed the experience.

I had the Morton Bay bug burgers, they were fantastic. Tasted a few other small plates and entrees, and was not disappointed. While it seems pricey, the extreme quality more than make up for this. Would come again.

What an awesome restaurant. Visually stunning on entry. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding even though there was a large crowd.
