Rainy Tuesday called for a pizza lunch. After a quick search in Google La Zucca was one of the few open in the area so headed down with some friends. Given it was a Tuesday we had the shop to ourselves. Very cosy atmosphere, they have done a great job fitting it out. Booths out the back and nice tables in the middle with lounge seating against the wall. I assume it was the owner that served us, she was lovely and took our drink/pizza orders. Big wood fired oven in the kitchen promised good things in the pizza department. We got a pepperoni and margherita (great pizza to get a baseline of any place). After a short wait we got our pizzas served to our table. The flavours on both pizza were decent. Napoli sauce was simple with a little kick of herbs. Cheese on each pizza again was decent and not overly oily. The only thing missing was that wood fired crisp. The crunch you get at the crust with a nice little crisp on the base. Unfortunately our pizza was floppy and powdery on the base, they probably could of gone another 5mins in the oven. For around $20 the pizza is fairly small for the price and will feed 1 person easily. Whilst it wasn't the best pizza, it was still decent and so its not a bad option of you are local to the area.

Fast service. Great atmosphere. Coming home after a D'Aguilar mountain walk during Covid, we stopped here for our first time. Ordered a spicy chicken & chorizo, $24 and a vegetarian $18. $4 extra for gluten free pizza base. The spicy chicken was good. Jalepenos and chunky chorizo. I was hungry! The vegetarian could have been cooked longer. I admit, I'm used to capsicum and mushrooms cooked longer. We nearly returned. I don't often leave low reviews. Value for money influenced stars.

Wonderful service. Uber eats screwed us around.. had to wait over an hour for delivery. It never came. We called La Zucca and arranged pick up. To our pleasnt surprise. They recoiled the pizza for us as the other ones were very cold. They also cancelled the order and charged us restaurant pricing not inflated UE prices. And to make our night... They gave us the cold pizza as well. Very happy after a poor night. Oh. The pizza is delicious too

Well first time trying this restaurant out. Starter was garlic pizza which was yum. Sort of went down hill from there. The sauce in the meatball fettuccine was plain and not very tasteful. The fettuccine carbonara was ok need more flavour maybe a hit of garlic in the sauce. The meatballs weren’t cook properly abit to soft and the pasta was chewy. Service was ok but only because it was a busy night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be coming back to try out there pizza next time.

My partner and I got delivery last night and it was absolutely delicious. We got the Quattro meat pizza, Carbonara and Creamy gnocchi. First family dinner out since Rona - woodfired pizzas (chicken avocado and Camembert & a supreme), plus a wild mushroom ravioli. The lovely, warm, huge oven was the centerpiece. Has a real potential for great atmosphere to complement the food. Things that could be improved- the ravioli wasn’t warmed through (went back for a second heating) - seating was too close to other tables not COVID spaced and the chairs need some felt on the legs to stop the noise. Friendly staff, however the service was scarce- had to flag down someone to order food then again for a second wine & more water. The flavours were great, but need to be more in tune with the customers. Lots of people doing takeout and pick up.

The best pizza outside of Italy! My wife and I were invited out by her sister and brother-in-law as they had won a free pizza and drinks at La Zucca. We had a great meal and the craft beers were excellent! I had the Quatro meat pizza off their classic range and it was delicious, perfect thin crust and generous toppings. The store itself was intimate and inviting, friendly staff that knew when they were needed and when to stay away. The pricing wasn't over the top for a restaurant quality pizza, but the drinks (if we had to pay) may be a $ or two more than I would expect to pay. In all, I will definitely be back and certainly recommend this business.

The best pizza north of Brisbane! Reminds me of the pizzas you get in Italy. There’s a real focus on quality ingredients and the base. I’ve read some of the negative reviews but I would say don’t come here if you’re expecting a dominos style pizza that is greasy and overflowing with toppings. These pizzas are simple yet they’re done extremely well! Will definitely be back and recommend if you’re after an authentic Italian style pizza.

I live locally to La Zucca but had never realised it was there. Found it courtesy of a google search after yet another disappointing pizza from one of the big chains. I walked into the restaurant (loved the decor) and it was full - that's usually a good indication. We bought the share platter (yum) and a chicken avocado Camembert pizza.. Also yum. Staff were lovely, conscientious and quick Loved it, will definitely be back

Excellent service and great quality food. Price is a little high but pizzas represent very closely to actually Italian made pizzas. Highly recommended. They do get busy so expect to wait about 15 to 20 minutes on an average night and up to 45 minutes on a busy night. Real wood fire oven and they make them in plane view and are happy to customise.

Good service. Food tasted good but wasn't what I was expecting. Got a Caesar salad there which did taste great but was way overpriced and wasn't anywhere close to been a Caesar Salad. Pizza's there wasn't anything to right home about. Apparently the amenities are not clean. I also found the lighting there dull and dark. If your local to it give it a try. Not sure if I'll return there anytime soon.

Had two Pasta dishes home delivery. Food arrived on time and warm. One dish being Spaghetti Bolognese had more Mince than Pasta with a very bland taste. From the website I understood that they make their own chef makes the Pasta but I was underwhelmed. The second dish being Chicken & Mushroom Carbonara was much tastier and one we would reorder. Overall not impressed with our first taste of La Zucca.

What a surprise! A little pizza and pasta place in Bald Hills?!? We started with bruschetta which was pretty good... and it just got better from there. If you could add stars ⭐️ For service I would!!. I noted a grumpy and frumpy middle age minga sitting behind me rolling her eyes and laughing as the waitress explained the delay in getting clean plates. Even when they deal with pig headed customers the staff still seem to smile. Kudos ! What a rare thing to see. Pizza is rare as I don't enjoy francised chemical injected dough, dry artificial yeast and msg toppings! Pizza that actually makes you feel like it's not that bad for you . I had tried the Calzone, pizza capcossa and garlic pizza. Fresh dough , fresh toppings and tasted great. All of great standard and cooked perfectly. All in all an almost flawless Thanks for making me fall in love with pizzza again !
