We visited here on Friday for a late lunch. I have not been there for a number of years - in fact, it was with the previous owners when I did. I must admit I was blown away by how lovely everything looked. So beautifully renovated and decorated. Loved the Canadian touches - as did our Canadian friends when we sent photos while we talked and waited for our food. We have had take away pizzas in the last twelve months and ordered them again. They were as good as we expected - freshly made, lots of lovely toppings and the crusts just right. The Cheesy toast and Yam fries were perfect. I would have to say their fries are worth the visit alone. They are the best ever! As it was a special occasion (we farewelled her daughter who is returning to Townsville) we shared a Xango for dessert. Wow! White chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla, deep fried and sprinkled in cinnamon sugar was amazing. Very yummy and recommend sharing as it was very rich in taste! My husband is not a cheesecake fan and he opted for dessert from the selection of cakes and pastries. He chose a passionfruit slice and was very impressed. Both desserts were served with ice cream. Now I need to return to try out their coffee. And I am sure there will be another dessert that tempts me as well. Highly recommend this little restaurant. The staff are friendly, service was quick. It was a delight all round.

Great little find along the road, didnt expect to find a Canadian Cafe on our drive to Hervey Bay. Lovely staff who are up for a chat. I ordered a bagel, which was loaded full, and very filling. Would definitely stop again if out that way.

We are visitors to this area.staying at Woodgate Beach Our mission today was 1.a swim✅ 2. A meal at a country pub🇨🇦🇦🇺✅ We tried 2 other pubs, Apple Creek and Cordova... both closed. This is a pub/cafe and was VERY chilled and relaxed. I had Chilli con carne ($15) and my partner had the Reubin sandwich. Great food. 10/10 We relaxed, had beer, wine, and coffee to finish off.

Loved this hidden gem. We were travelling to Hervey Bay from up north and I think everyone needs to stop here. The food is amazing and so are the staff. Super friendly and welcoming. Really clean. Great bathrooms for babies & kids too. Thank you. I wish every stop was this good!

O Canada, my home...... Maybe I'm bias being Canadian but this place was awesome. They even had the playoffs on. 🏒 The food was great, the menu was like being back home and the portion sizes were truly Canadian 🇨🇦. You will leave feeling full. Highly recommended on your way up or on your way down the coast. Don't drive by and miss out! We almost did.

Beers were great, service also fantastic and friendly. Pork burger enjoyable with the waffle fries as a side. My taco salad was absolutely terrible. It was cos lettuce, tiny bit of tomato with no flavour, bit of shredded cheese and a tiny bit of dry beef mince, that was it.. There was no sour cream with it, and it said homemade beef balls it was just dry mince sprinkled on. I could make better at home. Maybe take that one of the menu guys.

Our road trips are always about great food and mollydookers delivers hands down! The beef sliders were a delicious snack and the beer and wine was perfectly chilled. The service was excellent and we are already looking forward to our next visit on the way back to Brisbane. Drive through Childers and enjoy this delightful and surprising gem of a find on your way up north. On the way back to Brisbane we stopped for a late lunch and everything we ordered was fantastic.

If you're heading North through Childers,or even South, find your way to pull in to this superb cafe. Whilst on your travels and you think you're not going to make it to the local hotels for lunch, check out Mollydookers hours of service and menu on line. 8 of us pulled in at 2:45pm and were treated to one of the most extensive and versatile menus you could imagine. This very clean,tidy and well appointed venue had the very friendly, efficient and informative Emily and Marie looking after us immediately and we weren't disappointed. They have a range of drinks to match and compliment their menu and yes,much to my delight,they had a Mollydooker red from the McLaren Vale. Treat yourself. All eight of us had different meals and were more than happy.

Great selection of food and drinks. Xango is a must try dessert. Only thing is, if only gravy for the poutine can be served separately so the chips won't get soggy. Otherwise, glad we have some good Canadian food around! Definitely would come back again.

The Owner and staff were amazing they took the time to actually stop and have a chat. Genuinely interested in where we had been and where we were going. Amazing food surrounded by an amazing atmosphere. Came here for my birthday dinner last night and was greeted straight away with a warm welcome. We came in a bit late so food was going to be a bit of a wait and the owner was honest about this. Knew when to check up on us for drinks etc. Good music and great food. Food that is made with love. Really great cafe. It's a tad unusual to have anything Canadian-themed, especially so close to the highway. The service was excellent, and the food was great too. Mollydookers cafe and bar would have to be the best-kept secret on the entire length of the Bruce Highway. They seem to be always open and provide the best most balanced meals imaginable. Even a toasty and coffee will see you good for another two hundred miles of boring driving. Definitely worth the few minutes off the road that there preparation takes.

I'm so glad we tried Mollydookers today. We enjoyed a late lunch after visiting the nearby bird sanctuary. The meals on offer were varied and appealing, everything from coffee and cake to salads and wraps to pizza and pulled pork. It was hard to decide what to try. Everyone in the family - from the kids to Nana - found something to suit them. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, the staff friendly, the atmosphere clean and cosy, and the prices reasonable. Even the toilets were immaculate. We will be happy to stop at Mollydookers each and everytime we are passing through Apple Tree Creek. Looking forward to trying that cheesecake next time!

I love it! The menu is awesome and I want to try everything on it. They've gone to a lot of trouble to create a different kind of dining experience. Ended up here randomly on a drive from rockhampton to brisbane. Since both of us were canadian we expected some odd interpretation but we're pleasantly surprised. The food was great, and the service even better. One of the owners was serving us and she was very lovely. Had a really nice chat and ended up taking some pancakes to go. Crikey - what a cracker of a place! A hidden gem on the highway just north of Childers. Just what we needed to quench our thirst and satisfy our hunger. Would travel from the remote corners of Africa to taste the sweet sweet beef dip (a slow cooked beef brisket roll with horseradish cream that you dip in home made jus). Holy flaming galahs!
