It's been a while I celebrated my bestie's b-day here. It was an amazing fine dining experience. Nice steak and cocktails. Staffs were professional and friendly. I would recommend Moo Moo to anyone looking for a romantic place to celebrate a special occasion.

We absolutely love this restaurant. The steaks and meals are excellent and the staff bring the restaurant to another level. We loved it so much we came back the following night and they remembered all our orders(we have 4 children) and all the staff came over to say hi. We booked a private dining area for our friend 21st birthday and can say that the experience was second to none. The waiter we had always accommodated what we wanted and staff were so friendly. Food was fantastic !! And it’s safe to say that they know their stake.

We went here for Christmas Eve dinner. Can't remember which Wagyu steak I ordered but it was definitely one of the best steaks I've ever had. Waiting staff was extremely knowledgeable of both menu and wine choices available. Will definitely come back when we've got something to celebrate or want to show off Brisbane's food culture.

Ordered 3 sides, 3 steaks and 4 sauces. Beautiful sides all cooked extremely well and all steaks but the T-bone as it was overly salty. Service was friendly but slightly robotic as staff would loudly say the same jokes to the table next to us and behind us which made the conversations with them become less genuine when being served.

If Moo Moo can serve me enough alcohol to get me completely drunk, and then still serve a steak of such high quality that despite my mostly disabled taste buds I can still recognise it as easily the best steak I've ever had, you strongly deserve all 5 stars. Excellent ambiance, let's be honest, completely outrageous prices, but the bathroom has a small waterfall to wash your hands under, so I guess it all evens out in the end. I had an excellent night guys, and if I ever win the lottery, I might be back for another steak.

If you ever have Kaden serve you, you're a lucky person. That guy is amazing. Served us with a free entre, a great summary of the menu, an amazing response to any questions and extremely tentative and enjoyable service throughout. The food was absolutely incredible. Marginal portion sizes for the price but the quality is honestly unmatched or close to at the least. Probably the best steak I've had. They also brought out a complimentary anniversary desert. Would highly recommend for a a special occasion. The entrance is also breath taking.

Last visit we had the Moo Moo Signature Roast Beef for two, this will change your life. You will never have a “roast” like it again, you will search and search and but you won’t find it elsewhere, you have been warned.

I now know why this place is rated one of Brisbane's best steak restaurants. We had the signature share 1kg steak and it didn't disappoint. I wish I didn't have to share it with two others. The sides were also great. Plenty of gluten free options. I even found a gluten free dessert. Like most restaurants on the city, make sure you book in advance. The atmosphere was relaxing and the waiter was very friendly and charming.

The food was spectacular, our server Woody was witty and informative about every part of the menu (starters, wine, steaks), and they aren't lying when they boast about having one of the best wine lists in Australia. I had the covid 3 course menu. Starter: half dozen natural oysters Really good oysters. Clean flavour and great texture. The vinegar sauce with the lemon were pretty heavy combo. Could have been slightly less acidic and still worked well. Main: pork belly Really big portion of pork belly. Good sauce. The portion could have been smaller by a third and still be generous. The cut of pork could have been slightly fattier to make it juicer but I suspect it was deliberate selection of this pork. Side dishes: Mac and cheese, fries, roasted potatoes - carb overload / heaven Cheese platter: A selection of a few cheeses and crackers. Great value at $110. Option for a private room. Definitely a place for a good steak and celebration.

We just went for a meal... but got so much more. It was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is great. The prices are spot-on. The customer service is phenomenal... but the food... good Lord the food!! I had the Wagyu Flat Iron upon the recommendation of our waiter, and it was the best steak I've ever had.... in fact, that was the best *meal* I've ever had!! The sides, the sauces and the dessert were all mouth-wateringly perfect. First of all, service from our main host was impeciblele. Amazing knowledge of the meat. Meat was very good. Dry aged black Angus sirloin was sublime, the Wagyu rump was melt in your mouth, but other grass fed rumps would also do this when cooked well. Lettuce wedge was our favourite side. 'truffle' fries (no truffle taste) and Mac and cheese (bland) were rather disappointing - we asked for them to not be charged, which was no problem at all so we were happy. House wine was really nice and overall we had a great time but won't go back in a hurry as if felt a bit over priced.

19/11/18 The review was good but the steak was rather disappointing. Ordered a Dry Aged Ribeye on medium rare but it turn out lack of flavour. Pork Belly was too oily. The duck duck dish is average as well. Overall the food is average and only the ambiance is worth mentioning.

Service was friendly and personal. We had the wagyu to share for the 3 of us and that took around 45mins to prepare. Had calamari to start with and the batter for that was really flavorful and the calamari itself was fresh and tender. We went there and got the 1kg wagyu with 2 sides, I would say that this was an amazing experience. The service was also splendid. If you're choosing between Walter's and this place, go here. If you still choose Walter's, don't go for the rip-off porterhouse t-bone, it's good but price is crazy for serving.

We had the three course set menu on a Saturday night. Table was ready on time, despite our late seating. The service from Elie was amazing. She clearly knew the menu and explained all the different cuts of meat with ease. Further, she gave us some wonderful menu recommendations. The oysters were lovely, my husband couldn't rave enough about his steak and I enjoyed the kingfish and gnocchi. Inclusive of sides, the food was plenty filling, which is nice considering often with fine dining our heartier appetites can be left wanting. Overall we very much enjoyed our food and our evening here. Nice for a special occasion. On a side note, the lightning was particularly moody and by moody i mean a tad darker than I would have liked but nothing to complain about by any stretch.

Starters- oysters & calamari. The tempura and spiced oysters didn’t appeal too much, natural ones were much better. Very fresh. Main- signature 1kg roast for three. Expected one of the best steaks of my life, and ordered medium rare. Maybe I got unlucky with the slices but it seemed relatively average, well seasoned but not really marbled and a couple of minutes away from turning into shoe leather (ie medium well or possibly even well done.) It was made relatively better by the recommended wine pairing (an Argentine Shiraz) and sides. Dessert- chocolate lava cake with ice cream, well executed though not exactly going to set the world on fire. They catered to kids which was a plus-pastas and burgers Overall would return but not in a massive hurry.

This is the 4th time we've been, but it has been a couple of years since we were last here. We decided to bring my parents here as my father particularly loves steaks, and based on previous experience we knew to expect a good meal. The menu hasn't changed; the quality and the cooking of the meat is still as good, especially the Kobe beef (which you are, of course, charged accordingly). The portions are quite large, but keep in mind that you do have to order sides and sauces (which I personally think is unnecessary for good pieces of meat, but each to their own) as the dish will only come with a piece of meat and mustard/horseradish/yuzu soy sauce. My quibble with the place is that most of the steaks on the menu is heavily grain-fed, which is an ethical concern of mine (but then I eat meat occasionally, so I probably come across as a hypocrite ... a conversation for another time!). The waitstaff was also particularly pushy in steering me away from my choice of the pasture-fed dry-aged beef ("women don't like it because it's not as tender"), which I thought was a bit presumptuous--I'm perfectly capable of deciding what I do and don't like, and think that tenderness in steaks are overrated. I've never actually eaten other items on the menu apart from the steaks, so can't comment on those, but do definitely recommend the restaurant if you're into your beef, especially you don't care if they're grain- or grass-fed, and don't mind splashing out a bit for the quality.

My beautiful daughter recommended this restaurant to my husband and I and purchased a voucher towards our dinner for us for Christmas - a lovely gesture. We arrived for a 6pm dinner. No one was downstairs to greet us when we arrived so we headed upstairs. The man who took us to our table seemed flustered and his comments were a little off putting. He did not discuss the menu with us, tell us what the specials were or present the different meat gradings to us. When we told him that the Moon Moo Dancing Cow Shiraz came recommended, he responded with a dismissive "really?". Not a great start. However, we happily overlooked this as we were told the food was on point...it was. The produce was stunning and was prepared to perfection. Highlights for us were the natural oysters, OP rib fillet on the bone, Portobello mushrooms (as a side dish) and the coffee creme brulee. Fortunately, the service improved 100% when Charlie took over our table to serve mains and desserts. His relational skills are brilliant, and he made us feel welcome. I spend some time wondering why he was not the Maitre D' ...I think the first service person was? If so, perhaps we caught him on a bad day. I would love to have given Moo Moo a five star rating, however at this price point my service expectations are at Charlie standard and the first part of our evening was disappointing in this regard.

Went here on New Years Eve 2020-2021. Booked in last minute for a group of family and friends, we were given a lovely booth table, service was amazing our waiter was super attentive and even put my fiancé's food under the heat lamp because was running late. They let us stay at our table until midnight and we never felt pressured to leave even when ordered a whole bottle of champagne at 11:45pm. A superbly finished and decorated steakhouse very similar to some of the finest New York steakhouses I have had the privilege of eating in. A classic, historic old building where you feel like you have gone back in time. The bar is glorious! The Italian barman is a true professional. The whole staff are superbly professional. The steaks were incredible as were the sauces.The steak hubby had was a mg11 wagyu, it was incredible, the best steak we have eaten our entire lives. Simon had tempura oysters,they were incredible. I had the scallops with cafe de paris butter they were also incredible. The sides for the steaks were amazing, as were the desserts. Service was outstanding and the venue, divine and so tasteful. Amazing food, so worth it. Only thing is the lighting on the verandah, it is so low we couldn't read the menus without a torch on our phones. They even bought out a complementary dessert with happy birthday for hubby, such a lovely gesture. We will be back for sure.

There was a 2 person live band in the bar area, which was a nice little area that you could sit and chat while waiting for table to be ready and for group to arrive. Our group of four arrived at about 6pm without booking after having Friday afternoon drinks in the city. While not able to get a table immediately we were asked if we could wait in the bar until one became available. Of course we started thinking it was a ploy to sell drinks. While the bartender was still preparing our large first round of drinks, the manager approached us to let us know our table was ready. He went on to talk about some of the wines we had ordered and when he found out we were all having a shot of Patrón, he ordered an extra and had one with us. He also gave us the shots on the house and then took us to our table. The steak was amazing and the staff professional, friendly, playful when invited & very knowledgeable. Everything on the menu was fairly expensive but it was also delicious, fresh, good size and a pleasure to look at on arrival. I've eaten at a few steak houses around Brisbane, even those that like to claim title of the best; but Moo Moo's is a distant first. Everyone from our group has since been back with other guests to visit after such a great first experience, myself included. Every visit has been great year on year in every aspect.

This is definitely one of the best places to go for steaks in Brisbane. I've been here twice and I think my steak was even better the second time. Our waiter was very friendly and took his time to guide us through each person's preference. My steak was cooked perfectly. The side dishes (especially onion rings) and mushroom sauce gave an extra magic spell to the already-yummy steak. The desserts were delicious too. I would give this place a complete 5-star if it wasn't until the end of our experience here. We paid at the front and the cashier lady was quite rude to us when we asked her to take a family photo for us. It was obvious that she wasn't willing to do it (and she wasn't busy/there was no other customers waiting or anything like that at all).

Brilliant value for money. Fantastic cuts of meat done to perfection with generous sides available. Each sauce has been clearly thought out as to what it pairs the best with by the chef, so I recommend not getting any extra sauces that may dilute the delicious flavour profile that has been concocted. They have a nice selection of drinks, both local and imported that accompany quite well. There is even a signature drink of theirs which involves wagyu fat that is worth a try. Most importantly of all, enjoy the meat and never ask for it over Medium Rare.

Guys fix the bar stools! Seriously! Half of those have footrests either at the back or on the side. Hiring someone previously employed by IKEA would be recommended to avoid making it worse 😂 As to the meal itself - it was very enjoyable. Crudo was exceptionally good, flavours were perfectly balanced and I take my hat off to the chef who is bold enough to add extra heat to it. Steak was cooked to my liking and both carrots and potatoes we had as side dishes were nice. The only disappointment was not having proper sauces with our steaks as we forgot to order those and our otherwise very attentive waiter didn't ask us if we wanted any. We ended up being served soy sauce concoction that I did not like. For dessert I chose orange cake which was creatively presented and tasted very nice too.

Our favourite steak restaurant in Brissie - is an exy night out but totally worth it. Hubby loves the slow cooked short rib, falling off the bone, mouthwateringly tender, and my favourite is the wagyu tenderloin. Try the roasted new potatoes and the seasonal greens on the side - potatoes are crispy, crunchy, rosemary and perfectly salted, and the seasonal greens always have a beautiful sauce to go with. A good red is a must have with such amazing meat cooked to perfection, and the wine list certainly doesn't disappoint! Service is friendly and casual but excellent. All round great for a special date night or event.

We had dinner at Moo Moos recently and managed to book an 8.30 pm time slot. We decided not to have entrees and save ourselves for the lamb shoulder. In the meantime we ordered a bottle of red, which, given the time it took to arrive at our table, we thought they had to walk to South Australia to pick it up. Our lamb shoulder eventually arrived at around 9.45pm, by that time we were starting to nod off at the table. Whilst the lamb was fantastic, the service was very ordinary with our so called allocated waiter hovering around two other tables most of the night and only glancing our way, once in a while. We would go back for the food. Hopefully next time our waiter is a bit more interested in looking after all of the customers, not just a select few.

So the family gathered for a superb birthday dinner at Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill Brisbane on the recommendation of our daughter and her husband, who dined there for their anniversary last year. We were booked to be on the Edward Street Balcony, but being a busy Saturday, they upgraded us to the Black Angus Room - a private dining room, which was just stunning... we didn't have to shout at each other, had a most opulent environment in which to experience our first time at the restaurant! Served by Rory - he was attentive, knowledgeable and made the evening even more enjoyable. We started with the house bread with Moo Moo Jus (balsamic) and tomato & onion salsa. We tried most of the entrees between the 10 of us - oysters natural with champagne vinaigrette; sashimi Kingfish, BBQ Split Garlic & Chilli prawns; Scallops w/glazed pork, peas & shoots; Carpaccio of beef and the Wagyu polpetti. Mackie (Mum) opted for the Fish of the Day - Kingfish - which she declared the best fish she had eaten in her life - and she's 80 and has eaten at least 10 times her body weight in fish & seafood over the years! The rest of us (9) chose from the enormous variety of steaks on offer - New York strip; Wagyu Rump Cap 3x300g; Banksia tenderloin - 1 x 300g & 2 x 200g; Rangers Valley striploin - served with their Bearnaise sauce for half of us and a couple of the Mushroom sauce. Our son could not resist the dry aged black Angus rib eye on the bone 400g and of course, Bearnaise on the side. and then the sides... Rory recommended 1 side per person, but we'd all been 'saving' ourselves so we ended up having 11 sides and to his amazement, there was barely a morsel left! Can thoroughly recommend these side dishes: Mac & Cheese (speck & 3 cheeses); Truffle Salt & Parmesan fries; Wagyu Fat Fried potatoes; Roasted beetroots, raisins, goat's cheese & almonds; broccolini & seasonal greens, garlic, chilli & butter. There was almost no conversation - we were too busy enjoying the magnificent meal. The only downside in my opinion was that every steak knife around the table was blunt! When I went to carve off my first slice of my rump cap it was really difficult which had me worried... but I needn't have been! The knife even had difficulty cutting the broccolini!!!!! The only other slight downside I would say, is that the tv screen with Moo Moo promo pictures I found intrusive and unnecessary.... and after four hours, unbelievably repetitive! There were only a few takers for dessert... three of us wanted the Hot Frosty - brioche fried ice cream with pistachio , walnut & dates & salted caramel... who wouldn't? Sadly it was off the menu... so we had to make other choices. We had a couple of the trio of sorbets - black pepper & strawberry, espresso, and chocolate & orange and Regina King opted for the house made vanilla ice cream. The pineapple. coconut & chocolate delice with pineapple ganache & macaron was declared delicous, and our daughter went straight for the house made chocolate bark & honeycomb & strawberries. Our two Gold Coast dessert-lovers had the hot chocolate fudge sundae - which was AMAZING. While both LOVE their desserts, particularly chocolate!!, neither could finish it all! Surprisingly, between 8 of us imbibing in alcohol, we only managed to get through 2 bottles of Penfold's Cab Sav and 2 bottles of Hill Smith Sauv. Blancs! An EXCELLENT evening - and I thank everyone for making the dinner an event to savour and remember for a very, very long time to come!
