Have been to this restaurant a few times, consistently serves authentic Thai food. Enjoyed the fish cakes & corn fritters as an entree. Ordered vegetarian green curry for main, good spice hit & fresh flavours
S. R.
Every where in the world I go, I hunt for good Thai food. And here in Brisbane I'd say I love the Thai food they serve here.
We ordered tomyum soup : Strong explosion of flavours, the sourness and the spicy flavours were simply amazing. The portion of prawns served were quiet generous
Soft shell crabs : the curry that comes along is very different, the burnt onions, the chillies and the taste makes you want to eat more. Loved the foodgasm.
Green curry with beef : I've had better green curries elsewhere, this was sweet and dead. Didn't really enjoy it.
I've still given 5 stars, for the rest of the food and dining experience.
Will try again soon

One of my wife and I favorite Thai restaurants in the city. The prices are great for the quality. Panaeng Curry is creamy and rich with flavor. Pad Thai is delicious.

Love love love this Thai place ...been their for lunch , dinner special days never ever have been disappointed....staff is friendly and helpful. Food is amazing serving size can be better 😂😂 but everything on the menu is super tasty....
Quick service , always full, people have a great time here for sure...decor is good..
Keep it up guys....we will be back every week...😀

Super tasty Thai! I only had the chicken pad see ew but can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu. The pad see ew was full of flavour and love how lemon was infused with the sauce. The chef knows what works!

Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Tasty food. Decent portion sizes for price.

This restaurant still has delicious food, just as I remember from my previous visit. Our table received satisfactory service but I was impressed when the cashier split our bill even though there are signs everywhere to say that they won’t. The music, although enjoyable, was uncomfortably loud as it was difficult to hear my fellow diners during our meal.
T. T.
The best Thai restaurant in Brisbane. Food was delicious & staff was friendly & cocktails were fantastic. Cant wait to come back!!
J. T.
Great food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, a bit expensive for Thai. A good selection of quite genuine Thai dishes, with a couple of odd inclusions of Chinese dishes... The Grilled beef salad was a bit expensive, but had a really good flavour with a nice chilli heat, the best dish I had and the sticky rice was a good texture too. The satays were a bit small, but pretty good value. I did think the negative comment that it seemed "home made" was a bit strange... isn't that what traditional Thai cooking is all about?!

Beautiful food with beautiful price! The coconut chicken salad and spicy beef salad are my favorite. The cocktails are special and there r also many creative Thai cocktails for sharing. People who cannot drink alcohol can order pink milk Tea, thai mike tea or Thai ice coffee which are very nice as well. I visit this restaurant many times, every time having a good experience.

One of the decent Thai food in CBD.
_ Food is very very good.
_ Very spacious. Have booth for families.
_ Deco aims to evoke nostalgia for Thai street food scene.
_ Not too busy at lunchtime but dinner seems fairly busy even in Covid time. Food come out fairly quickly.
_ You can dine in or take away
_ They take Visa and Master (no Amex)
_ Pay cash has discount
It’s CBD so some parking notes:
_ The closest cheap paid parking is Wilson Parking across the road. If you shop at Queens Plaza nearby then might as well park where you want and just walk over. There is a pedestrian crossing (with street light) right in front of the shop.
_ Street parking (Council metered) is on the other side of the same block.
_ There is a loading zone near the shop (on the other side of the road) if you want to stop by and quickly pick up your takeaway.

Good place for Friday night as it offers Thai style cocktail. However, if you're looking some great Thai restaurant, you can find a better place with more accessible price.
F. F.
The best thai restaurant in BNE, at least super close to being authentic. Staff are super friendly and helpful, the food was deliciously amazing. The gasoline pump and big glass of alcohol drink is so fun. I enjoyed my experience here, my second visit was the same as well. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in city and looking for a really good tom yum soup, soft shell crab, fun drinks with friends. This is the place.
H.
It was one of the best Thai food, also liked the vibe
P. G.
The food here was absolutely unreal! Food came out quick, and service was on point. Place itself was brilliant, too! Corrugated walls with some Thai nick nacky stuff to make it feel authentic. Honestly have to say... was a serious surprise, and one of the best Thai places i've eaten at.
M. K.
Food was a little cold upon arrival but didn't mind as the jumbo cocktails they provide are worth the wait. Was absolutely delicious and will be making a visit again. Easy travel distance and location.
P. B.
Positives: flavoursome & very enjoyable food, generous portions, yummy cocktails, nice ambience & lighting inside & spacious. Negatives: Group of 4; 2 entrees come out & then a main with 2 waiting for entrees. Courteously mention this to waitress who grabs the main & walks off! The remaining entrees arrive quickly followed by the mains. Made to feel like we were inconveniencing her though we gave her no grief whatsoever. The whole meal felt extremely rushed & not one bit like a dining experience. 5 stars would require a good look at training your staff & insisting they treat their customers with respect. Using some nouse wouldn't go astray. Sad that you have all the other elements going well but the service side of things is greatly lacking
J.
Got the san Choi bao and the pad see eww, the pad see eww was so tasty! The food came quickly and the staff were friendly. One of the best Thai restaurants in The cbd. Unfortunately they sold out of satay chicken skewers so I missed out. Thanks again and definitely will be back.
j. m. c.
My ultimate kitchen and my go to restaurant, eat here 2-3 times a week before. Food is good but sometimes taste varies maybe because of new chef. In total, highly recommended. Service is so fast and nice staff.
B. J.
First time being in Brisbane. We walked around Brisbane and went to The Gap to visit a place and by the time we went back to CBD, we're famished. Googled restaurants around us and found Pochana. It didn't disappoint. Ordered Haina chicken and tomlek, were so good! Definitely recommending this place. Food so good but not expensive. Definitely value for money!
A. N.
3.25 stars - have been here a few times, service is average, place has great vibes and ambiance. I made a booking for a Friday night and when I got there I was told I could only dine in for an hour (time includes browsing menu, waiting for the food and eating). If I was told this when I made the booking I wouldn't have eaten there as I felt rushed and didn't have time to enjoy my food which is unfair. We tried the:
♤ satay chicken - great peanut flavour but chicken was a bit dry
♤ crispy pork belly - nice and crispy, great seasoning but dried out quickly due to thin cut
♤ red curry duck - interesting with the lychee, good flavours but some duck pieces were tough and some were tender
l. b.
Good range of cocktails and drinks.
Nice food but small portions.
P.
Great food, great service. The satay chicken were small pieces, but very tasty. Green chicken curry my favorite! Will come back. Feb 2021, visited here again... great food yet again, great service, my favourite Asian food place in Brisbane!! 16/05/2021 - Yet again this place does not disappoint! Great service great food!!
A. l.
Delicious food and amazing cocktails!!! Great prices and beautiful interior. Highly recommend!!!
M. V.
Well well well, wasn't this place a surprise! Walk in through the door and you're greeted with hip hop muosc and a dining space far bigger than you anticipate. Service is attentive and meals are produced quickly considering the volume of diners. My friends and I gorged ourselves and yet the bill was quite modest. Would be an amazing place for a birthday dinner and the drinks menu looked incredible. I will be back.
l.
Pad Thai was not what I expected but
The beef salad was amazing (highly recommend).
Thai green curry was average.
Atmosphere was good.
C. M. (.
Superb food full of flavor and taste. The service staff are very welcoming and recommend their specials. They offer some vegetarian dishes too. One of the staff had helped me to convert their menu dish to a vegetarian option and it tasted terrific.
Their food and drink menu is not extensive however, you will not feel sorry when you look at the ambiance and the lively music and the environment. The tables are well laid out suited for small and large groups.
The street side view does not reflect the actual character of this fantastic restaurant, one needs to step in and enjoy the atmosphere.
Good staff, prompt service, tasty food and a wonderful interiors makes this place a hidden gem of a restaurant. Overall a great experience.
Keep up the good work Pochana
A. P.
I like the duck in orange sauce, and pad see aw, very yummy and big portions. Good value and worth the money.
Staff is always friendly and deliver good services.
R.
So happy to find some hard to find Thai dishes on the menu. The garlic chive dumplings (Gui Chai Tod) were light, and crispy, unlike anything I've been able to make at home. The Tom Leng was visually spectacular, being served in a hot pot style, it basically demanded for the pork bones to be eaten with hands and much lip smacking. The soup was hot and sour as promised, but with a bit of palm sugar sweetness shining through. The decor of the restaurant makes you feel like you could be in a street restaurant in Bangkok.
C. S.
Just got food delivered and it was fantastic. Slightly small but worth it.
Gyozas had a fantastic dipping sauce, the pad thai was beautiful and the prawn, chicken and coconut salad was to die for.
H. M.
Great flavours for Thai food I had the seafood hot pot and pad Thai, both were exceptional with real favours of chilli, ginger and lemongrass which I love.
The huge 4 person cocktail was a novelty, however very sugary and not much alcohol.
T. M.
Nice enough, didn’t realise it was part of the Kinn Thai chain until I was there. It’s interesting that they have different names for each of their venues. Our food came out within 5-10 mins, you could tell the beef in the massaman curry was cooked a while ago, it was no longer soft or tender. Decent for the location and price
E. G.
This restaurant was great and it was refreshing to try a different dish, the service was great and the feel of the restaurant was also good, but the cocktails were fantastic and unlike other cocktails I've had these tasted like full strength spirits we had a great time here. Will most definitely re-visit
O. K.
Pochana is a great place for dinner with friends / family. Thai green curry (Chicken) is a must try, they also offer great Pad Thai. Friendly staff and generally quick service, usually gets busy at dinner time.
M. M.
Always love eating here. I was easily able to make a reservation the day before. Delicious food and great cocktails that are worth the price
K. F.
Love this place. Pad see ew and chicken satay skewers are my go to.
T. N.
This is a really fun Thai restaurant to catch up over drinks or food with a bunch of friends. Especially when you order the giant jar of cocktails with giant straws!
Love their red duck curry, soft-shell crabs, roasted duck, grilled chicken with satay sauce and kailan with crispy pork belly.
The interior is impressive. Really classic Thai. I really felt like I was back in Thailand.
Pretty good customer service. Food and drinks were served pretty fast.
T. E.
My go to Thai spot in Brisbane. It's affordable and the food is so good! I'd recommend the massaman curry and any of their veggie curries. Only recommendation I can give is if you're planning to be there for dinner on a Friday night, book in advance. When we were there last time, they weren't able to split the bill.
S. M.
Food is tasty. Service is great because staff works pretty fast. My friend and I ordered papaya salad with salted crab and deep fried fish to share for lunch. We've been there several times but I've never tried Thai ice coffee latte there. I tried it 2 weeks ago. It's not tasty. It didn't taste like Thai coffee at all. I used to lived in Bangkok, Thailand for a year. So I knew how it taste like. Anyway, food taste good despite the small portion. I won't recommend Thai ice coffee latte there. I'll try ordering other drink next time.
J. K.
Food was not too bad and reasonably priced for a restaurant that is located in the city. Plenty of drinks options too. The interior of the restaurant is also very chic and is a great place to hangout with friends to chill.
Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when the band starts playing, the music was so ear-shattering loud that we requested to change to a table that is by the entrance and still have to shout to each other. Overall, probably will return for the food but will change places once the band starts playing unless they decide to reposition the speakers to allow a section of the dining area where people can talk to each other without shouting to our ears. Would give a 3.5 star if available
S. S.
Cute restaurant with Thai themed decor and friendly staff.
We ordered takeaway twice during our stay and each time we were delivered hot, flavoursome and genuine dishes.
Would recommend and eat here again.
H. J.
Great Thai food, it may be abit pricey but it’s worth it! Nice lively atmosphere and near Queen St mall. Great place for dine in or takeaway. I really like their spicy chicken noodles and green curry. The curry and rice portion was quite big and it can be shared between 2 people if you were to buy 1-2 side dishes. The staff were quick, nice and attentive. Overall great dining experience!
A. D.
Very nice Thai cuisine, the best that I have tried in Brisbane so far. The food is tasty, well presented and the portions are generous. Fast service and great atmosphere
J. G.
Book ahead! Glad we did. The waiting line when we left was packed. We tried their popular cocktail jug which was so fun to try but not very tasty. Haha. The food was so beautiful! The entree in the attached picture was the best. The flavour was amazing we ordered two! I also liked how cost-friendly this place was. Service staff could be a little more attentive, But no dramas. The environment here is so great and gives off a great vibe that is hard to find in Brisbane.
R. G.
Fabulous Thai steet food with interesting flavours. Nice ambience. Surprisingly inexpensive considering the location. We'll certainly be back to explore more dishes.
B. S.
Tried it after a long year due to a COVID . The food still tasty but not as amazing as before. We tried Softshell crab curry with chilli Jam, Chicken fried rice , Fried Barramundi and Duck Pancakes.
G. V.
Delicious Pad Thai, amazing environment and impeccable service! My husband and I loved it. We will definitely will come back
C. D.
Great place to hang out , better be here early during Fri/ SaT a bit busy . Queue was long but they managed well. Food tasted great, but a comment on crispy pork, they taste better without the sauce (a bit sweet though). Thai staffs were nice. Live band was awesome.
T. M. N.
This place used to be good with delicious food and great atmosphere. However I had an uneasy experience in my visit here last week. Staff is no longer friendly and served you with smiles (all of the recent reviews complain about this, I should have checked the reviews before coming). Our visit was during a rainy day, the store was not crowded at all, so I didn't understand why staff seemed to be grumpy. In our final order, I ordered the cocktail and when one of the paper straw became too soggy to use, they charged me 50cent for each straw I requested. 50cent is not a huge amount, but I am disappointed that they charge customers for a low quality product that they source themselves (good quality paper straw will never easily get soggy). What makes me more angry is the way staff informed us about the extra charge like an obvious fee that customers have to bear. No explanation at all.
I. P.
So after hearing so much about this place I came to try this on weekend night . Pretty busy place with nice ambience but the lighting is dull at night . Can be improved a bit
*FOOD - was good what we ordered but the servings size was very less compared to all other Thai places.
* DRINKS - are good but put hell lot of ice in the glass there by making size small of actual drink
*STAFF - was polite but sometimes can overlook at you and do their own things
* TIMINGS - earlier it was open till late night but now they close at 10 or so with taking last order very early
K. D.
Food is very delicious. Also ordered cocktails and they were also great. The food was handed very quickly. Also the staff is friendly and are mostly available. Highly recommend.
R. N.
Food is not bad (albeit small portions for the price), nor the drinks on offer. The lack of additional stars is due to the sour faced waitresses.
They dont seem at all interested in offering real service. Would also be a good idea to give people warning as they order about lunch time closures on Saturday. We waited for ages for our drinks...when they finally arrived we were told we had 15mins to finish before they had to move us on. This included a cocktail jug and 2 tall cocktails.
Not really fair, given our bill was nearing $200.
Better service at jac*pot up the street tbh.
N. L.
The cocktails are amazing. Definitely somewhere you need to bring friends. Try their large cocktails in a vase, you wont regret it. Cocktails aren't strong, sweet and easy to drink. But you can lose track very easily. Tried the pawpaw salad, they ask how many chili you want 0 - 10, being able to eat chili they recommended 2. Don't underestimate the chili, 2 is HOT 🔥
A. Y.
You can have fried rice, Thai curry, and other asian food.
Here is really unique drink which poured in a kind of large pot. And you can drink it by straw.
Also staff and atmosphere in the restaurant are grate.
You must visit .
X. P.
Food is goooooood. It’s not very authentic Thai food but it’s gooooood. It’s not too spicy although I prefer the sour and spicy taste. The vibe is chill and decorations are stylish and hip. It’s a bar with good food and good taste. I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends.
Z. Q.
good environment and friendly staff!
We really enjoy the yummy food!
C. S.
Good food. Great atmosphere.
R. K.
This is a good Thai restaurant, sister of Kinn Thai. They have interesting cocktails and the food is delicious. Thailand vibes in the design of the place, overall one of the mre decent places to have a meal with family and friends!
D.
Love the food! Love the attitude and professionalism of the staff! And definitely love the cocktails! Will definitely be putting this place as one of the must go to places to eat at whilst in Brisbane list.
A. A.
Enjoyed this lunch special. Arrived at busy time, but managed to get seats. We had Grilled Chicken Thai Papay Salad. Chicken was well marinated and meat was tender. The Papaya salad was fresh and hot! Luv the chilli heat. Dressing was fresh and well balanced with fresh squeezed lime. Peanut Beef noodle. Stir fried Ho Fun with a slight peanut sauce. It's enough to taste the peanut sauce. Taste was more into sweet, yet still nice. Pad Prik King (Crispy Pork with green beans). Crispy skin with soft pork meat with a hint of heat.
Bookings are highly recommended! Food came fast and service was good.
P. K.
Delicious meals and fantastic drinks selection. Good prices on the drinks and cocktails as well! The atmosphere is excellent. Friendly staff who are very attentive and quick with service.
R. M.
The ambiance was nice with a contemporary Thai street feel. The cocktail menu is extensive. The food is simple authentic and the service was quick and efficient. We were told by locals that is usually a line to get in but we were lucky as it was a wedensday night. We ate the pad Thai (good), green curry (v good) Tom yum (OK), deep fried calamari (bit dry), mangosalad (good) and soft shell crab (v good)
C. R. (.
Very friendly and good looking staff and of course very good costumer service. Have late night Thai food as well, If you still get hungry after 10.00PM. Very good Thai and international live music bands. Highly recommended.. please don't miss out. Sa-wad-dee-ka(Hello), Kob-kun-ka(thank you very much)
M. S. K.
Good ambience and great food. Not the most attentive or friendly service but was ok. Very busy despite the current situation with Covid-19, and not sure whether it's safe for people sharing their jug of cocktails with multiple straws.
B. F.
Really enjoyed this restaurant. The vibe was completely different to the standard take on Thai
Service was good, the flavours in the food was amazing and the overall vibe of the place was awesome.
Will definitely be back
D. Y.
I've been comming here for some years simply because it's the best thai I've had so far in Brisbane CBD very friendly team fast service and good food portions including your paid for protein which sadly is hard to come by these days.
I'd recommend the chili soft shell crab and the chili jam pork belly both delisious and my go to dishes here they trade till almost 10pm during the week and till about midnight Friday &Saturday nights.
C. P.
A Thai friend recommended me this place after I asked for authentic Thai food. This restaurant probably serve the real Thai food, it is not my type tho. Fried rice and fried noodle are just around the average.
M. M.
Food is delicious absolutely amazing.
But can't say the same about customer service.
Never experienced such rude behaviour before.
B. i. H.
This is the place u must visit if you are in Brisbane!!! Thai food here is very great and i think it is better than in Thailand😁 Cocktails is good as well i enjoy the presentation of the drink they create!! There is live music too. It is a big restaurent, good to spend time with friends and family. Staffs are really nice, always smile (Thai style👍) Take away food is also available. Price is average.
R. L.
My friends and I came here 3 weeks ago, how come did I forget to review. I love the vibe which mainly comes from the bar section and a wide variety of cocktails. My friend ordered one called “sugar daddy”, that’s funny (≧∀≦). My classmates and I tried that long straw drink long time ago. And I like Thai milk tea all the time.
N. L.
Very busy nouveau-Asian chic restaurant with funky, gaudily decorated and well-lit interior. Meant to emulate the dinghy underbelly.of a Thai town it achieves good atmosphere overall. There is even a stage in the middle for other non food related activities. The food is average priced, with the options being sparse but well proportioned and tasty. Not the best Thai I ever had, but if your taste buds are not too adventurous or attuned to this sort of cooking then this establishment will do you fine. Also not going to rack your brains - has less than 40 choices on the menu. Also has alcohol, some choices and bizarrely coloured cocktails reminding me something between some of the rivers in South East Asia and a nuclear fallout.
Overall a solid choice for a not too expensive night out, particularly suited for groups; romantic evenings here will not be too intimate...
M. M.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, and foods and Singha tab beer were very delicious.
Z. c.
Best Thai in town. Love that Chilli papaya salad. So fresh and spicy to make you want more food. Small plate in a good price. Nice dine out with friends.
P. K.
Pochana, by Kinn Thai ! Definitely Kinn Thai quality, at a surprisingly lower price. Very reasonably priced for a City CBD location !
Plenty to choose from and they do take away too (better price than dine-in!)
Highly recommended their Asian Chilly Soft Shell crabs and Crispy crab rolls !
This place will not disappoint!
F. A.
Huge range to choose from. Drinks menu is awesome.
R. G.
Thai Cuisine has been amongst my favorite and Pochana was just outstanding in terms of perfection.
➡️What Did I Try?
Crab & Prawn Roll
Southern Fish Curry
Steam Rice
➡️Crab & Prawn Roll
Thin layer which contained minced prawns and crab fried to crispness with some sweet juice around it. Perfect if you are a fan of non spicy appetizer.
➡️Southern Fish Curry
The creamy curry was delicious, it comes with a few large pieces of fish filler which is sufficient for 2. The curry just containers fish and Brocolli. To. Me Brocolli was not the right match. Moment you eat the Brocolli it feels very hard chewy and leaves you with a bland taste as by then all the curry is Sipped down the throat.
Team could work with additional veggies replacing the Brocolli which could make this a world class one.
Would I Come Back?
Yes to try the chicken curry 😊
S. O.
Amazing food. Loved the chicken fried rice - not in the photos. The chicken cashew nut & Panang curry are awesome. Will be back again for lots more chicken fried rice and Panang curry.
T. B.
Amazingly delicious food and a great location with lots of seating and a great menu. I highly recommend you visiting. They do groups, singles and walk ins.
M. L. A. L.
Delicious thai food in the city! Its a bit expensive but its fresh and yummy
V. S.
Delicious well balanced food with a nice eclectic atmosphere. Portion sizes were a tad bit small for the prices but overall it was a pleasant evening. Staff were attentive and friendly. We had the Crispy pork belly with beans, Tom Kha soup and the Softshell crab. All were delicious, well cooked and seasoned. This is the same owners as Kinn (Garden City) and Kinn Imm (David Jones food court) so they must be do something well.
K. B.
Fantastic Thai restaurant and cocktail bar right in the middle of Brisbane city. Extensive menu of everything Thai small and large portions the food was to die for. The cocktails are from another planet exquisitely made. Clean and tidy with awesome service. Prices for food and drinks is actually cheaper than most other City restaurants. Will definitely return.5 out 5
J. G.
This place is so nice highly recommend Pochana's.
Staff and food are excellent.
The cocktails are a must try.
C. L.
Authentic Thai food. Me and colleagues came here for lunch today. The price is good for lunch special and the portion is big enough.
S. K. C.
Except for a bigger layout, this place is almost identical to Kinn-Imm Thai Hawker Food, a few blocks away; it's a sister's act. Bigger and, Uhm!, better?!!! Kinda.
C. K.
Delicious Thai foods and even better variety cocktail options! The service could be better though.
M. W.
Delicious food! The lunch specials are good sizes. Photo is Asian Greens with tofu & rice. Their Pad Thai is probably the best I’ve had in Brisbane. The Massaman Beef is another top dish for flavour & portion sizes. The service is very quick. It’s a busy spot, which provides a buzzing lunch-time atmosphere.
C. H.
I've never had a bad experience here, I love the food here. Only bad point was the two main courses came out 10 mins apart. I will definitely be back 😍
D.
The setting of the restaurant and bar look very cool; other than the menu it was another reason we decided on Pochana for dinner (plus my friends rave about Kinn Thai). Although the service was pretty sub-par, it was relatively busy when we arrived around 7.45pm which is fair but the attitude perceived from the waitresses was the downfall, food runners on the other hand were very nice and were smiley.
We ordered the Chicken Satay Skewers and Duck Pancakes to start which came out in good time and were both delicious. My partner and I shared two mains with rice, the Orange Duck and Tom Kha Chicken; the duck was fantastic and the sauce was good over rice too; however the chicken was a let down as we were expecting "chicken and mushroom in coconut soup" which was the menu description but instead we thought it were more of a sweet, tangy, watery liquid with few mixed mushroom pieces and a few halved cherry tomatoes in with the chicken.. unfortunately unpleasant and unpalatable although we did try our best to give it a go.
Will not write this place off just yet though! We need to come back to at least try the enormous shared cocktails and the soft shell crab! (I am a fan of both cocktails and soft shell crab)
B. B.
Great restaurant/ bar, decently sized. Huge variety of dishes and especially drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Their friendly crew is delivering an excellent service and even when it's busy, you will not be left waiting for your dish for a long time.
One of the best restaurants in the city.
s. b.
Love this place. Fast service and tasty food. Lots of fun👍
T. B.
Most meals were very good. Some didn't meet expectations
A. C. M.
It was quite busy at lunch time but the service was still fast and the food was delicious as usual!
S.
It's on the expensive side. But still loved their lunch special basil chicken mince and Mai Tai.
E.
Pochana is cooking up authentic Thai street food and mixing insane cocktails, in the heart of Brisbane's CBD. The character of this restaurant is derived from the strategically placed vintage televisions, transistor radios, antique public telephones, barbers poles and conversation pieces displayed in semi-enclosed shelving with LED lighting. Artificial feature windows present Asian street graphics highlighted by LED lighting that have been combined with corrugated iron wall panelling, brightly coloured seating and an eclectric collection of furnishings to give the restaurant those street food vibes.

I went to this thai place on a Friday night very recently. Luckily I had made a booking because it was very busy (there was a line of people waiting outside). My friend & I ordered 3 dishes (only added 2 photos here). The crab roll & pork belly were tasty, but we also ordered Pad see ew (not pictured) which was absolutely delicious. We chose the beef one and it was very flavourful!
For drinks, I ordered the 1984 cocktail, however I really wasn't a fan because it tasted like artificial cherries (very unexpected - different to the drink description). Willing to try the other drinks however!
P. R.
Great little restaurant, food was delicious and came a out fast. Highly recommend of you're in Brisbane for a night

I'm a fan of Kinn Thai in North Lakes and I've been keen to try Pochana for a while now. Today was the day! They have some hard to beat lunch specials available to hungry CBD office denizens, like the Massuman Beef pictured in this review. It was so cheap that I was able to get a side of delicious satay sticks and still have change left over from what I normally pay for just the same dish at North Lakes. It's the same quality. Only cheaper!
Y. M.
great vibe and delicious food!
every dish was soooo good, except that the beef salad was a bit too salty
Cocktails are good too
definitely will come again
B. W.
Service is ok, ambience is superb, it feels like you really go into southern east Asia. The menu is very nicely decorated with comics with scantily dressed women which I imagine could be offensive to some. The food took a while to come, but it tastes very good. Slightly pricey, but worth it for the food and atmosphere. The bar serves really tall straws with your drinks. Definitely worth a second visit.
G. C.
Loved the great value and great food and cocktail options. I had a great vibe. Obviously popular and I will definitely be back with more of my friends next time.
A.
Yummy!! Open late, good food & busy which is a good sign!!
Got one of the fish bowl cocktails & asked for less ice (its pretty much ALL ice) but seems standard to fill it with more ice than cocktail. The novelty of it is fun though with the extra long straws!
Really good food though & I would recommend & visit again! 🤗

In Brisbane on my Birthday and traditionally go out with my family for a Thai Meal. Being 700km from home, I googled and stumbled across Pochana. The reviews and the menu looked amazing so we made the walk down, were seated immediately and had our order placed very early on. Drinks come out straight away and the food followed maybe 5 minutes later. There wasn't an empty table so we were very impressed. We had the Peanut Satay Stir-fry as well as the Cashew and both were absolutely incredible. One of the best Thai meals we have ever had. Great portion sizes and so tasty. New favorite place to grab a bite in the city, and they open for lunch as well! Will definately be back!!
J. C.
Super tasty food and fun environment! The curry here is delicious and the drinks not only looked great but also tasted great. Would recommend, and will definitely come again.
S. M. A.
Great and fast service, reasonable price and most importantly great food!
J. t.
Very authentic Thai food...all the dishes hit the spot.
They have a supper menu after 10pm
Were told that kitchen would be closing soon in 10mins thus we quickly ordered.
Only at 10pm service staff came out with the supper menu. Unable to cancel the dinner menu.
Communication would have been better if they mentioned to us that it was the dinner menu that was closing and if we could wait till 10pm for the supper menu.
Supper menu has boat noodles selection.
Chilli flakes, sugar and birds eye chilli are not readily available unlike other Thai restaurants where you helped yourselves.
J. C.
Great food and atmosphere. Tom yum prawn is my favourite. They have fancy drinks which taste good and great for photos
H. D.
Just go!!! Honestly, this is my go to place in Brisbane for a good feed. You don't need to book. The great thing is that they open late when everybody else in sleepy brisbane had closed. There isn't a long wait as you get seated quickly. Prices are reasonable. We normally get a few dishes to share. I always order a fresh coconut water with my meal too. Must try: The Crispy pork Belly. You will have dreams about this, Especially if the pork is particularly crispy that day you order❤ With this we tend to opt for a curry dish, a fish fish, & some rice. We are very full🤗 Try this place & fall in love😍
N. B.
nice food, decent price, fast service.
K.
Awesome thai food. Love the fish dish with green mango salad
E. A. W.
Love the location, the booking, the interior, the beverage choices, and the FOOD ...
J. T.
Peanut pad seuw noodles on point! 👌🏼
Also red duck curry amaze! Spice but good! 🌶
M.
Chilli crab is my favorite dish!! Soooo yummy
W. W.
Cute spot for a carefree meal. Busy but not loud ambience. Attentive and non pretentious service. Great range of dishes. Nice spot for a group or a date.
J. L.
The food is fine but not as amazing as it use to be. The restaurant is extremely busy and they have compromised quality and freshness as a result
S. C.
Ordered the spicy noodles. Prices are decent and the taste is not too bad either.
A. P. H.
Very good food if you like proper Thai food, can make it really spicy if you want but be careful don’t overestimate yourself like us haha. Have to try this huge cocktail as well, well done.
R. V.
Best food and amazing fun cocktails, prices and great for the quality and there is an awesome atmosphere with live music and mood lighting
K. C.
Very funky place. Quick service (drinks arrived in less than 5mins and food in less than 10mins). Food was tasty and reasonably priced. If visiting at peak times book a table.
J. J.
Awesome ambience. Good staff. Food was above average. Keep up the good work guys.
Z.
Awesome food!! Ask for fresh chilli it’s the best 🥵
E. D.
Great food and the drink menu was impressive. My issue is more with the service. It was difficult to get people over to get a new drink and it felt rushed like they were just trying to get everything everyone out the door so that they could close. What gave me that impression was always watching for the next empty plate at the end but not being attentive during for new orders.
F. P.
great thai restaurant for lunch or dinner. Real thai food dishes, good service.
E. P.
Dine-in meals are devine!
The taste has the authenticity of the atmosphere
C. R.
The best Thai food in Queensland. Closest I have had to the real thing in Thailand. I don't think it would be possible to get any better. They even had Matoom drink, which I challenge anyone to show me that on a Thai restaurant menu outside of Brisbane.
Not only is it genuine Thai food, but the pricing is excellent. They are not being greedy, and serving very very high quality food at a very reasonable price. Cannot recommend enough.
J. K.
Found this place when shopping and needed a lunch break.
G. R.
Fish cakes had too much sauce, cocktails were excellent though
T. R.
Overall, this is not a bad Thai restaurant, the service is generally good and efficient. The food was reasonable priced and tasty. I ordered something that had a chilli symbol next to it but then I asked for not too spicy, it turned out to be quite spicy.
Otherwise, I would still recommend this restaurant.
T. U.
Most of the food is delicious! The san choy bau was delicious, as was the cashew beef stir-fry. The Chill Chill cocktail was excellent (a must try!). The only negative was the pork gyoza, which were a bit chalky.
S. K.
I like all of food here
K. R.
Fast service, consistent performing food, friendly staff.
J. F.
So good! Popped in here for lunch with work friends today on recommendation from a colleague. There was a great busy vibe and our meals didn't take a long time. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I absolutely loved my BBQ pork ribs. Will definitely be back!
J. D.
Had an amazing time here. Fantastic Thai food.
J. B.
Best thai food I've ever had! Especially the entries
j. k.
It's bit pricey but foods are good with beer.
T. Y.
Decent food, interesting space... While I dined with a friend, there were people having big jugs of cocktail on a Tuesday night. There was a stage allocated for live music. I wasn't sure if I was at a pub, a restaurant or something completely different. I enjoyed it though.
S. D.
Service was impressively fast for a busy lunch time crowd. The Tom Sab leng soup was really authentic and flavourful. Good on you Ponchana for keeping your Thai seasoning authentic! Their Thai milk tea is the best. Not too sweet. Staff are efficient and quick to respond.
C. E.
San Choi Bao, duck pancake, grilled beef. all very good!
K. T.
We regularly stop by for takeaway during the week and we are never disappointed. Quick service and incredibly tasty food. The San Choi Bao is amazing, Thai green curry is tasty, and we always have a Special Fried Rice which is loaded with taste.
G. L.
Good food and very nice customer service. Value for money: 4/5
P. P.
Had a set menu lunch today for 4 people at $40 per head - hands down best Thai I have had for a very long time. Serving sizes very generous.
S. H.
Good place to go in city. Fish is good compared to other restaurants but i will try other dishes next time
S. S.
Not very good for me. The taste of curry was too strong. Price is reasonable.
J. P.
Yum, yum and yum. Great food, quick, polite service and a discount for paying with cash.
K. H.
Great location great service and nice food!
We came tonight with my 2 little kids, and the staffs were very friendly.
We have pram and they are nicely arranging best seat for us.
They were very busy at night but the service still had good standard.
They served food fast than normal Thai restaurant and the price is reasonable. The dish was not very big but for us is not the bad things since we can tried different dishes.
We strongly recommend it and we will definitely come back again!
J. L.
excellent food
good taste
I feel like in Thai
R. M.
The food - amazing
The COCKTAILS - amazing
The vibe/music - amazing
friendly staff, service and affordable prices.
Unfortunately I wish we would have been able to stay longer than our 1.5 hours, however, understandable.
Already planning to go back
R. F.
Great Thai food. Excellent options and unlike other places, the dishes are not westernised sweet examples of the dishes. Good range of beverages as well.
R. S.
A bit overpriced, however, good ambience with delicious food.
B.
So impressed with the authenticity of this place... I usually ask for Thai spicy and get mild but this place didn't hold back and I loved it! Great flavour, impeccable service and reasonable price. Great value for money. Highly recommended you check it out. Thank you pochana for you impeccable hospitality & delicious food.
C. S.
Amazing food and the restaurant is really nice as well
A.
Great food. I been already for few time and I try all the different variety of noodles that are delicious.
But I’m very disappointed for the starters , I don’t suggest fish cake or prawns/crab roll.
F.
Tasty food
I often go there when I go to Brisbane.
D. T.
Good food and great environment to hang out. Friendly staff, would have given 5 stars if they did not forget my dish. Ordered 2, 1 came, 1 forgotten till 45mins later when I reminded them.
N. C.
Great place to meet friends and have an authentic lunch.
M. C.
Everything was amazing. Delicious food and fair price. The pork ribs tasted really great, which was so soft and juicy. Also ordered the Thai cocktail, my favourite always. Very different from the usual.
C. B.
Had the orange duck. A little over salted. Overall good food and very reasonably priced food and drinks.
S. S.
The food is always great and so are the drinks
O. B.
Food was amazing and also the service, would definitely recommend and will definitely go back. Has such a great range of drinks and cocktails for everyone awesome for parties and events
J. S.
Everything we ordered was sweet. Not what I expected from thai food at all (not in a good way).. even the pork with chilli jam was sweet. Cocktails were decent.
S. H.
As an Asian, i can say food was great! Servings are bigger, say twice of a regular Asian meal but it's standard here in Australia. Decently priced with lunch specials! 😋 Ordered Pad Thai and Basil Chicken Rice and was surprised by the taste! Definitely won't go wrong with these 2. Highly recommended Thai place to dine at in Brisbane 👍🏻
S. G.
Great place to dine in the Brisbane city. It offers authentic Thai experience in Brisbane..The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and made fresh. If you are here,I suggest you to try the Thai green curry and a Mai Thai cocktail. The price though is a bit on the expensive side. Recommended for groups and family. Finding car parking also would be a problem during the peak hours. Located near the central station and bus stop makes it easy for commuting to and fro.
A. K.
Everything was delicious! We ordered the oyster sauce chicken and weren't too satisfied. But Pochana never really disappoints. Definitely try the soft shell crab curry.
C. R.
First time, wonderful experience. Bit of a wait even though we booked, but were seated and served in a snap.
Food orders included calamari, crispy skin pork, beef penang curry, chicken green curry, duck curry, pork ribs and cocktails. No pics but no need; they were as great looking as advertised, and tasted amazing. Serving sizes, could have been a bit larger but ....
Settling the bill a breeze. Super efficient service all night albeit a bit brusque at times
Will be back for a longer stay.
G. L.
Nice service and portions, I recommend the papaya salad
S. A.
Good range of quality Thai foods. Good meal sizes and taste. Some may be a little pricey but they are cheap options too, including lunch specials. Alcohol available here. Meals from $12-30. Most in the $15-$20 range. Friendly staff. Meals come reasonable quickly, despite the size and number of tables. I have been twice and will be back.
J. R.
Really lively, fun atmosphere. We ordered a chicken curry dish, but found the chicken had a lot of fat and bones, which we really didn’t enjoy. We told the staff and they happily replaced this dish with a vegetable curry, which was AMAZING!! Papaya salad was delicious as well.
C. S.
This was actually some pretty top-notch Thai food. I couldn't spend much because I was on a budget, but the food I had was delicious, came quickly, and the table service was pretty good. They didn't let me split the bill though, which was weird.
B. A.
Best vege pad Thai I've had
J.
The best restaurant of Thai food!
P. T.
I've been here a few times now and the food is always good. Could be more spicy though. Lunch menu is varied with a la carte and specials but the dinner menu is a little limited. Stick to lunchtime and you can't go wrong with this place. Service is always prompt and friendly and not too expensive either.
J. P.
Food took literally 4 minutes to come out and was absolutely amazing, we ordered more of some dishes.
Service was excellent and drinks and cocktails were so tasty.
Authentic atmosphere and mood.
Would 100% recommend this place to anybody
P. C.
Delicious Tom Yum soup, good service and reasonably priced. Great crowd in there also.
A. K.
Very good atmosphere. Nice lights. Live music was also soothing and not interrupting the conversations. The food was okay. Compared to the price and other thai restaurant in the area. But the drink aesthetics were top notch. Recommended once in a while.
J. C.
Nice place with a cool theme. My brother got a cold meal which was sent back and promptly sorted a fresh hot meal. Food was decent but of course cold food ain't great. Otherwise not a bad experience.
J.
Absolutely delicious!!! So affordable and the service was impeccable! Will definitely come back! We tried the satay chicken, fish cakes, dumplings, tom yum seafood and the sizzling beef - all spectacular dishes and would highly recommend!!
U. B.
Delicious food. We enjoyed all three meals we ordered. My new favourite Thai restaurant!
D. U.
Reasonably priced Thai fare for the CBD. It is rare that we visit a restaurant and leave not dissapointed with at least one dish or drink amd in the case of Pochana we did not! We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew which were both fantastic rice noodle dishes. The pad see ew could have more wok hay but in Australia thats nit really an expectation I have.
We also order the soft shell crab, the papaya salad and the grilled chicken, all of which were fantastic. I dare say the papaya salad is one of the best I have had in Brisbane.
Both Poja colada and 1984 dirnks were great.
The bill was just over $100 for 3 people, with 5% doscount if you pay cash.
Definitely worth a visit!
L. S.
Food is amazing, cocktails are great and they always have a lineup on the weekend but they get to people really quickly!
J. D.
Been to this place many times. The thai menu is awesome. I never miss tom yum here, its out of the world. But since last few visits, I’ve noticed the portions were too less than usual. Maybe they have a new chef or a new management. Nevertheless, I always enjoy food here.
S. L.
Highly recommended, a very central restaurant in the city, it is very likely that you have to wait if you go Friday or Saturday night, I would recommend booking, the food very well, the portions are large and the prices are consistent with what you eat. Their giant cocktails are very famous where they put several straws so that the whole table can drink from the big glass. Some nights there is usually live music.
O. R.
Really good Thai food! Interesting ambience very random. But great portions of food. And quite interesting. I guess the chive and something fried starter was not nice at all hence I have four stArs. But the rest was really tasty, especially the green curry and the papaya salad
F. S.
Great variety of Thai dishes and unique drinking menu. Pochana’s red curry duck is a must try dish here, it is best served with one serving of rice. This place is definitely among the best Thai restaurant in Brisbane.
R. M.
The food was incredible and well preportioned. Drinks menu was excellent with a large variety of cocktails, beers, wines and spirits.
Atmosphere and decor was fantastic with a constant supply of bangers to keep the ears happy.
Staff were lovely and the service was quick and accurate, definitely will be coming back along with friends!
F. J. P. I.
We order take away and the food are so delicious, but the portion is so different if you eat at the restaurant, we paid $20 for the pork and recieved a really small portion
L. A. L.
Just had a very delicious lunch here including Tom yum soup and satay sticks. Flavors were on point, fast and friendly service and good prices...will definitely be back!
B. M.
6 of us arrived ca 5:40 pm no booking on Friday night they managed to accommodate us. we all choose different foods so that we could share and every single dish was divine - they all were hot (heat not chilli heat), tasty, fresh, diverse and simply delicious! the staff were efficient, friendly and we are looking forward to returning in the near future. the only negative no desserts!!!
S. C.
Great Thai food, great atmosphere and really busy.
T. M.
Another unexpected surprise in a great location! Was looking for a late night meal On a Monday night and stumbled across Pochana.
Delicious Asian meals, reasonably priced and an affordable cocktail menu.. A live music duo was the final touch to a great experience.
Will go back again and again
J. D.
Pochana will not disappoint you, it’s one of those places where you can literally order anything from the menu and it will be amazing!
Would recommend the whole fish it’s perfect to share with friends, Massaman curry is amazing, melting in the mouth beef with a earthy and sweet flavour goes great with rice, also have to get a Thai coffee with condense milk!
This is a happy place.
The shared cocktails are huge and a lot of fun to share with friends!
Will be back!
💓
G. M.
Delicious food and friendly customer services.
A. M.
Love the food and reignited the want to travel to Thailand again! Cocktails are well priced and made, and food comes out quick. Will return.
P. G.
Great vibes, drinks and Thai street food selection for groups of people to have fun together.
E. M.
Very happy we tried this place. The chili basil was so tasty. Great to find a place that does true sticky rice too. We went for dinner Saturday night and even though it was busy, it didn’t take long for our meals to come out. Try he garlic and chive dumplings, different and a great starter 😋
A. E.
Great location, love the food and the atmosphere
S. Y.
Good atmosphere. Like a bar rather than a Thai restaurant
C. M.
Such a cool vibe - very modern but also surprisingly authentic. Quite busy but that just proves its popularity. Looks like they do a great range of cocktails as well (including fishbowls with massive long straws). I went there just for the food and will definitely be going back.
J. S.
Went here on the recommendation of my sister.
I went when it was less busy so the service was rather quick and so was the food.
Great selection of food and drinks, great for groups. The meals are quite large so you're able to share dishes.
Good plentiful seating. Very clean. Good atmosphere.
Great service. Staff is friendly and polite.
Overall the price point is good, food was delicious and service was excellent. Will definitely dine here again.
D. L.
Had the lunch special massamun beef with rice for 13.9 and it was delicious. Beef was tender, rice cooked well and the sauce leaves you wanting a bit more. Really noting to complain about (didn't take a picture unfortunately)
R. P.
The best Thai restaurant ever.
A.
I love the atmosphere inside. From outside, it wasn't that attractive. I ordered tom yam soup and my husband had Thai chicken green curry. I loved my soup. It was very tasty. They also serve alcohol here. Great presentation of food and drinks. Staff are very friendly and prompt. Location is in the city, just across Wintergarden.
N. S.
Extremely slow service. Had to wait around 45 mins to get our lunch on a weekday. Kinn Imm across the road at Queen's Plaza is a much better option.
L. R.
Portion of foods are quite small, if you compare the prices with others restaurant in the city. Environmental is good, it feel like street bar in Thailand.
So overall is okay if you want to have experience about little of Thai culture there.
J. F.
I rang to place an order while walking to the restaurant. I was maybe 300m away and by the time I arrived I figured "well, I'll have a beer while I wait". A couple of minutes later it was ready. Seriously great service and food.
This restaurant was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint.
R. C.
Great service. Even on a busy Friday lunch lots of wait staff. Food came out quick and tasted good. Serving on the non meat options a little bit small so it gets marked down from a 5. It's a good place for a casual quick meal. Good selection of beers, could do with one more light option beer. All in all I'm happy with it and will definitely go back again.
A. B.
This is the best Thai food I've had in ages!!! The restaurant looks awesome too, friendly staff, although one of the male staff members was coughing every now and again which was a bit gross. He was standing near the bar and tables full of people.
K. M.
Food is not bad, reasonable price, good service. Slightly disappointed as wanna try out signature drinks but not available.
R. L.
Been here a couple of times now, ordered the basil chicken mince and rice and the crispy pork belly, long beans and rice, as well as the steamed chicken and rice. The food is good- authentic and quite tasty, but for the price which is slightly above average for lunch in the city, the portion sizes are small and will leave you hungry. Some other reviewers have mentioned big portion sizes, so maybe it's inconsistent, but I've never had a good sized serving here compared to places like Singapore and Co (previously Little Singapore) They do make a good pina colada though. Not a place to go to if you are starving- but if you've got $20 to spend on a light meal, it ticks the boxes. Good cocktail menu .
D. C.
The food here is delicious, the service is quick and friendly, and the price is very reasonable.
B. F.
Great friendly restaurant, good quality food and reasonably quick service. If you like Thai food, this place will not disappoint you. It's usually busy at nights though, so you might have to allow for some time before you get sitted and served.
Y. A.
a nice lively thai restaurant in the middle of the city~ always had take away from here before but only recently tried eating within the restaurant and definitely is a different and better experience~ amazing atmosphere and vibe, staff are super friendly and always are on the lookout for your needs and for assistance. Tried the pad thai and tom yum prawns, all lovely~ also tried the Benzine 91, lovely combination of flavours~~~ highly recommend, only downside is the tables are incredibly small, so it is a struggle to grab and serve food, but not a big issue as the food you are struggling to grab is delicious so it’s worth it~
V. T.
Ordered a chicken noodle lunch special and soft shell crab salad. Delicious and reasonably quick service. They don't split bills, but offer a discount for cash payment of the bill, so you can split it that way.
D. V.
Quirky venue but it works! The food isn't overpriced at all. Good portion size and the staff are very attentive. No split bill but that's not a deal breaker. Quick service too. One of my new favourites.
A. L. F.
Great place, service, atmosphere and sensational food, love all of the Kin restaurants!
j. L.
They dishes is not bad overall. But their staff need to know when is proper time to clean the table. They took my napkin away when I’m eating, and no longer after one staff came to asked am I finish or not because they are going to clean my table while I’m using my phone. it’s feels like they are asking customer to finish their meal as soon as possible. I don’t feel comfortable with that act.
M.
Yummy food and friendly service in a nice atmosphere.
T. S. (.
Really good and tasty food. The ambience is amazing. The staff is ok, could be a little more friendly. The food is actually inexpensive, but some of the dishes have a smaller portion, while others are just perfect. They do split bills, but only in cash.
L. “. N.
I've had 5 star meals here and 2 star meals here but the cocktails/mocktails are always on point. I just dont know about the inconsistent dining experience (i've been here 5 times)
J. D.
Recommended! Lined up for 40 mins on a Friday night to get a table and it was worth it. Quick service once we were seated, delicious meal, great vibe. Menu had familiar and unfamiliar options. Do it!
Q. G.
Always good. Quick service, tasty and affordable food. Great food and drink choices. There's also a live band/singer on weekends
M. L.
Great prices - food is great although can vary. Good for lunch catch ups with quick service.
C. d. l. R.
The food is really nice and tasty, specially the SAN Choy Bao, The Pad Thai and the ribs. I go there very often and I love it! Great atmosphere and cocktails as well. Also, they serve food until late and that’s awesome!!!
J. A.
I love listening to live music here. Every food and drinks are very delicious.
C. M.
SOOO GOOD OMG YUM. Have frequented this place a number of times - date night, group celebrations - any reason to get some good Thai with those good vibes. Love the ambiance and service is incredibly fast and efficient (like crazy asian fast). Have I mentioned the food IS SOOOOOOOO GOOD. We eat ALOOOOT of Thai (it's our fave cuisine) and this place hits the spot each time but is great when you dont want to eat takeout at home and want to be out at a nice restaurant (but dont want to compromise on weird 'fusion' thai or stingy servings that try too hard).
P. L.
A fun, bustling venue - fantastic food and colourful drinks, a great location for large groups
M. S.
Authentic cuisine and terrific rustic atmosphere. Very popular with locals and top spot if you like your cocktails.
R. A.
It's the best Thai restaurant ever! I love it.
D. K.
Excellent food!
The spring rolls are both very different and fantastic. Wholeheartedly recommend!!!
T. M.
Great food, great atmosphere, quick service, we always feel welcome. Highly recommend you try eating here at least once
K. F.
For the first time in a few years I found myself in 100% Thai environment in the best possible sense. The design of the place made me feel like I'm back in Bangkok in the authentic/modern restaurants. The service was amazing: friendly and welcoming staff members arranged a table for us despite it was fully booked - I guess someone was running late. Food was.... I had a feeling that it's delivered directly from some sort of magical kitchen in Bangkok. Absolutely recommend papaya salad and fish curry. There are also massive cocktails for 5-7 ppl around $40, too bad, we weren't drinking that night. I guess, I will have to come back!
H. A.
Great ambience, good menu selection, okay flavours.
M. C.
Great place. Cocktails/ Mocktails for the drivers. Fantastic Thai food. Try the pork and green paw paw salad. Heaven.
n. k.
Impressive place. They have selected but versatile drinks menu. Food is awesome. Restaurant is full of aroma. When food for table next to you is being served, you may regret choice of your food because it smells so nice. Nice presentation. Decent music and wonderfull ambience.
M. D.
Delicious Food, great service
A. V. N. B.
Haven't had a bad meal yet. All superb meals and well priced. Suggest you book on weekends
D. H.
Awesome delicious food, great atmosphere!
M. B.
Great affordable food and live music definitely going back
L. L.
Both Kinn in My Gravatt and the Pochana city location are fabulous. The food is superb, the service quick and the process reasonable. I have been to both locations multiple times and am always impressed. Last visit we had a group of 16 which was easily accommodated and the whole group was impressed both with the food and the extensive cocktail list. The only slightdownside of Pochana (and Kinn) is that they are both super busy so it can get a little noisy and crowded.
M. L.
Amazing restaurant, great food! Will definitely go again.
F. W.
Authentic Thai food.
A. F.
The staff are lovely! Food is yum. Portion size suits a girls' meetup just fine but the guys I was with wanted larger portion sizes. That may just be an individual thing. I LOVE their drinks.
p. n.
Me and my friend were there last Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed it. They make very cheap but ridiculously sized drinks that can just keep you entertained for hours.. Great experience and amazing vibes..
S. R.
Food is great and service is prompt. Great selection of cocktails and the decor adds to the atmosphere... only giving 4 stars as we couldn't split the bill.
S. G.
Amazing food and the cocktails looked so good!
b. e.
nice bustling atmosphere, good service but food was very disappointing. I had a terrible yellow fish curry, no aroma or taste to suggest fresh ingredients? some kind of supermarket paste in coconut milk ladled over overcooked fish. The papaya salad with crab was also lacklustre.
A. S.
Amazing food, with great portion sizes, the best Thai food in Brisbane, pretty pricy though, but, worth it.
M. S.
Food is close to what you get in Thailand.
Best yet in Brisbane for me.
Everything are Reasonably price for their casual service and atmosphere.
Great option in the city.
S. M.
Fabulous Thai resturant right in middle of Brisbane's CBD within walking distance of most accommodation. Has great atmosphere with live music by local muscian playing popular covers. Food plentiful with great taste, lots of different options, roasted pork and garlic chive dumplings were outstanding and a must try. This place has a very cool vib about it that is a fun place to eat and just hang out after your meal. Friendly staff with great customer service well done to all in this very busy restaurant.
B. C.
Always an amazing place to catch up with friends. Food and drinks are always quality.
R. R.
The food was so good! They made an error with our booking time but found us a table within 5mins

Line out the door Wednesday night. Had to wait, which means good things. 150 seat restaurant is packed. Our San choy bow was incredible, best I've ever had, the fish cakes spot on and a very generous portion. Unfortunately the chicken Pad Thai was heavily Australianised, a small size nowhere near sour/tamarind enough. Staff were helpful and friendly, except the good looking male waiter kept giving me death stares. Also beware the water cups, I suspect they are pewter (partly lead). Great atmosphere and price would return. Kup on Kup 👌

Finally a delicious Thai restaurant in the city! Yummy menu and cheap meals available on separate lunch menu. Meals can be a bit slow coming out at lunch time if you have to get back to the office, but take a late lunch and avoid the crowds and take advantage of happy hour pricing. Limited wine list.
S. M.
Always happy having food here. Thai green curry chicken is the best. The food is delicious and the service is great
D. O.
Good taste. Attractive atmosphere. Unfortunately the menu is limited to typical aussie style thai. Certainly no adventure.
N. W.
One of the best Thai places in Brisbane
A. T.
Prawns in the Tom Yum were overcooked but the mushrooms and soup were on point. Beef in the Massaman also overdone but sauce on point. Great fast service.
L. K.
food and service was great and fast, but not too fast. The roast duck was so tender and flavorful. The crispy pork was also spot on! recommend. nice clean atmosphere as well.
D. L.
Top quality food with a very solid drinks menu and choices. Stir fried pork belly was a stand out option, absolutely delicious and the chicken satay skewers were perfect, couldnt get enough of the sauce. Would be a great location to hold drinks and dinner for the corporate set on friday nights. Decor and fit out is very immersive
M.
The food is nice but the alcoholic beverages just taste like water and syrup 😅
I. U.
YUMMY super duper amazingly great Thai Food.
Truly Thai food with a super wide range of choices.
Cool Cocktails. Music. Nice vibe and a lot of table space.
Definitely a place to be😍

The food, the atmosphere, the staff, the service and the whole experience was amazing. Highly recommended. Feel like your in Thailand. My test Buds are still dancing.

Pochana never disappoints. It is the best Thai restaurant, for quality of food, service & great cocktails. I have missed this place over the last several months due to Covid.
R. M.
I should start by saying the food's amazing! I am at pochana atleast once a week if not more for the reasonably priced lunch specials. The reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating comes down to the service or the lack of it, I should say. As a regular I am used to it but they really need to work on their customer service rather than treating customers like numbers at your local Maccas. I have been to many thai restaurants around Australia and in Thailand but Pochana is by far the least friendliest place iv been to which is quite surprising because thai's are known for their warm hospitality. I hope they address this issue at some point.
C. B.
Loved this late night restaurant. There were six of us. Great service, food and drinks. Entertainment was excellent, singer covering Tom Petty songs. Will definitely be back at Pochana.
A. R.
Love KINN at Garden city.... And this new wing of their brand is utterly amazing. The food here, particularly pad Thai and the crispy calamari. Love it so much! PS the cocktails are STRONG 😍
M. R.
Fabulous Thai resturant right in middle of Brisbane's CBD within walking distance of most accommodation. Has great atmosphere with live music by local muscian playing popular covers. Food plentiful with great taste, lots of different options, roasted pork and garlic chive dumplings were outstanding and must try. This place has a very cool bub about it that is fun place to eat and just hang out after your meal.
C. Y.
One of the best Thai restaurants in Brisbane. Staffs are friendly. Interior is unique. Foods are good. Wide menu selection from dietary options, especially vegetable dishes. There are lots of cocktail selections to drink.
O. M.
Not a nice place. Staff is not friendly. Too much fried food. Not a glimpse of fresh greens in portions. Good selections of cocktails. Very popular on weekend nights.
W. L.
Came here for lunch. Lots of yummy options and didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. Just one thing - our food came with chopsticks stuck into the bowl of rice and noodle! This is considered very rude in many Asian customs and used to signify when people are dead, and you place incense in front of them!! The waiters and waitresses are Thai and it is Thai food. Seems like they would know such a thing???! A few different Asian friends have mentioned this to me too and found it distasteful. Please change this. Otherwise, it is okay and love that it's open late!
S. C.
Gets better and better evrry tome we have the chance of dinning with them.
Many thanks to all the staff for a great evening.
A. A.
Nice drinks and tasty food. Very poor service. Ordered sizzling Mongolian and the waiter dropped the dish in front of us with fumes coming off it. Everyone was coughing and my girlfriend had to leave the restaurant.
R. S.
Beautiful, fresh and tasty food. Fabulous service. Not surprised there was a queue out of the door. We loved it so much we came back twice during our stay in Brisbane.
M. N.
This is a place you should visit if you d like to try Thai food, and usually you don't need to wait for long time to enjoy their fantastic meal
m. t.
Always a great place for a nice Thai lunch, dinner or late supper
T. C.
Was anything overly special, and the meals were served five minutes apart, I atw the coconut chicken salad which tasted like it was 80% mint. Beverage prices were fair. Extra rice/noodles were quite small portions.
A. P.
Food is good I will definitely come back
G. T. W.
Great place to eat. Food quality is good. Reason for not giving a 5 star is the serving sizes are a little small compared to the pictures in the menu.
B. W.
One of our first meals on a short stay in Brisbane, and also one of the tastiest. Great atmosphere, cocktails, and delicious food. Will be telling anyone who comes to Brisbane to make sure they eat here
P. C.
A great place to get together with friends for dinner. Food was amazing, we will be back.
S. M. P.
Love the whole fish with mango salad, even it wasn't mango (It was apple lol)but I really enjoyed it, from the head to the tail all crispy
..that's the best way of eating fish (well..kinda asian way haha). Nice place, lovely atmosphere. Very popular
B. S.
Ordered via deliveroo. Tom Yum fresh and so delish. Fried rice, oyster sauce beef, crispy whole barramundi with sauces, salt and pepper squid, soft shell crab. Quick prep delivery. For great Thai food. 10/10.
A. V.
My favourite Thai place in the city. Reasonable prices and quick service! Their Asian chilli soft-shell crab is the best, very yummy!
M. E.
This place is aaaaamazing!!! I had the BEST barbeque ribs ever!!!!deeeeeeeelish! Great cocktails too! Recommend the lemongrass smash kicktail🥰🥰🥰🥰
R. N.
I never mind spending money in this restaurant because it's just one of the best restaurants in Brisbane. Really really delicious food, friendly staffs, skillful bartenders and amazing service speed regardless how busy it is (this restaurant is never quiet).
J. L.
Had papaya salad with grilled chicken for lunch, small portion, taste OK. Huge drink list, Give me a Bar/nightclub feeling when walked in. I think it is bit pricey compare with their neighbors.
k. b.
Soft shell crab with papaya salad, very delicious, as was the orange duck and also the pork. Fish cakes were ok. Friendly service and reasonable cost.
Y. H.
went Saturday night with friends, amazing food, HUGE cocktails, service was great, price is VERY reasonable! cant wait to come back :) keep up the good work guys.
H. N.
Great food at decent prices. Great atmosphere with a cool bar. They have lots of cool drinks with novelty straws and huge cups. A great place to head to with a bunch of friends.
J. Z.
Good fun with group of friends. Table is too small, need to eat fast or no place for dishes. Hope the waiters can clean up quicker
C. E.
Food was fast & tasty cocktail was big and tasty. Kind of trendy looking. Place is always packed. It's probably worth booking ahead. Got a table, but it was time limited.
C. H.
Good food, interesting decor and good service.
R. A.
Great atmosphere, food and friendly, efficient service

Very much like Kinn-Imm in Queens Street, Pochana is a haven for authentic Thai cuisine. It is truly like walking into a cafe, restaurant or the best ones found along the curb side in Bangkok, Pochana's food is an orgasm on the tastebud.
The ingredients are so fresh, interesting and packed full of flavour. Lemongrass, mint, chilli, ginger form the terrific framework on which the chefs at Pochana build their menus. Some restaurants tend to get lazy with their appetisers, choosing to concentrate on the mains but not at Pochana. Their appetisers are delightful, fun and creative. You could easily build a main meal of tapas-like dishes from the appetisers alone.
But if you allow yourself to proceed further, their curries are scrumptious and heavenly. Everyone of them is just delicious but the duck and fish curries are my favourites. Most because they are hard ingredients to make into greatness. Pochana does this with effortless ease.
Their drinks menu are so creative, fun and delicious. But wait, don't neglect their non alcoholic menus too. The juices are just as wonderful and my ultimate favourite drinks is their Thai Ice Black Coffee which is the perfect blend of smoky coffee and sweet sugary syrup.
An absolute gem of a place in Brisbane to go for the best meal you can find.
I can't recommend them enough.
b.
Love this place! Delicious food and friendly attentive service! Highly recommend! If going in a group take cash as they can’t handle split bills.
K. M.
Great place a very nice unique theme to the restaurant, had a variety of different cocktails and mock tails. The food was good very tasty I will be coming back here when I visit Brisbane again.
m. p.
This place is nothing short of amazing. I literally can eat here every day. The food is spectacular, service is excellent & quick, no matter how busy they are. Definitely visit here & u wont want to go.anywhere else.
A. T.
Great venue, vibe and food
K. A.
Great restaurant. Staff are always friendly. Food is delicious and well priced.
D. V.
Have eaten in this place many times and the food was always good. Decent size portions, food is very flavourful. I would like a better selection of desserts though.
D. I. D.
Always beautiful food.
I just didn't enjoy the table next to the entry a bit uncomfortable.
R. L.
The service was promt and the attendant came when asked quickly. The food was average at best, small portion for $$, not as fresh as some, a little "jar esc...". Cute dining set up.
M. H.
Great atmosphere. Coconut chicken was great but the Green chicken curry tastes like it was from a packet. Good for a different experience.
D. Y.
Staff is polite and friendly! Food is delicious!
A. C.
Very impressed with the quality of the food. Food was very fresh Indeed and staff are very friendly
A. V.
It's a good place to start off if you are new to Thai food, some vegan options available, but I would recommend this place for someone who wants to have a taste of the flavours and an for an Adventurous diner.
A. G.
Amazing place. Very reasonable prices (most dishes around 16 aud) and the atmosphere is that of a high end restaurant. Love the taste!
R. P.
Service was really pertinent but I didn't enjoy my plate as the stir vegetables contained more stems than leaves or other veggies. Belly pork could be more tasty as I've tried before this dish.
N. W.
Always a nice place to go for a authentic Thai meal. We always eat here when in the city or it's sister restaurant both great atmospheres.
R. M.
Excellent restaurant and great value for money! Food was great and service matched it.
A. K.
Very good atmosphere. Nice lights. Live music was also soothing and not interrupting the conversations. The food was okay. Compared to the price and other thai restaurant in the area. But the drink aesthetics were top notch. Recommended once in a while.
L. R.
Portion of foods are quite small, if you compare the prices with others restaurant in the city. Environmental is good, it feel like street bar in Thailand.
So overall is okay if you want to have experience about little of Thai culture there.
J. D.
Recommended! Lined up for 40 mins on a Friday night to get a table and it was worth it. Quick service once we were seated, delicious meal, great vibe. Menu had familiar and unfamiliar options. Do it!
H. N.
Great food at decent prices. Great atmosphere with a cool bar. They have lots of cool drinks with novelty straws and huge cups. A great place to head to with a bunch of friends.
J. T.
Pretty good food and some awesome coctails/drinks! Portion sizes could be a lil bigger, and a tiny bit cramped depending on where you sit
S. R.
Food is great and service is prompt. Great selection of cocktails and the decor adds to the atmosphere... only giving 4 stars as we couldn't split the bill.
D. R.
Busy little place but the meals are great. Good attentive staff as well.
L. R.
Best san chow bow ever !
R. S.
Beautiful, fresh and tasty food. Fabulous service. Not surprised there was a queue out of the door. We loved it so much we came back twice during our stay in Brisbane.
S. M.
The food is delicious, love the decorations in the restaurant and everything is reasonably priced with good portion sizes too.
Will definitely eat there again.
J.
Busy place but service was relatively good. Food was delicious albeit salty, and portions on the smaller side even though it was slightly pricier compared to the other Thai restaurant in the vicinity.
M. T.
Meals all came out separately and not together so people eating when others waiting. Good was good though.
T. M.
Good service, reasonable prices. Servings looked small but were filing. Good value and popular place for a quick meal in the CBD
E. A.
Great food, good prices on drinks too. They have live music on weekend nights. The stools are quite uncomfortable and that's probably my only gripe
R. W.
Tasty Thai food with eclectic crowd. Open late. Try the Pad Thai.

Such fast and corteous staff...and the food arrived so quickly. Loved the seating arrangement we were offered. Exceptional!😊😊😊😊😊

After waiting 30 minutes + for a table (make sure you book a table). AWSOME. Great atmosphere. Great meals. 100% Recommend.
S. G.
Awesome place with great food and cocktails.
I had the southern fish curry and it was delicious! although I wish it was slightly bigger.
A. P.
Great spot for a casual meal. Friendly staff, great pricing and plenty of seating.
A. S.
Service was very good. Food arrived super quick too. But was let down by the whole barramundi and padang beef dishes. Felt both were overcooked.
J. C.
Pochana always delivers great thai food. Their som tum (papaya salad) is among the best in Brisbane. Great place to go for a very thai experience.
B. W.
Ordered 3 dishes to share and all of the dishes were amazing. Great place for good Thai food in the city.
N. B.
always busy, always yummy and consistant quality. very successful business !

Great food, quick service and great atmosphere. Good for families, work events, and dates.

Amazing Thai food! Recommended the soft-shell crab and the pork belly
W. B.
Tasty and Authentic taste.
K. M.
Delicious, affordable Thai cuisine in the CBD. Fantastic cocktails and mocktails, to add a bit of fun.
B. B.
Really loved the drinks. But the food was a little bit sweet for my liking but maybe just a personal preference
C. F.
This is a new Thai restaurant in the CBD. Pricing popular. Pork meal I had was delicious ($14). Quick service at a busy time.
J. L.
I am a frequent flyer. I fly to Bangkok quite often. This traditional Thai street food restaurant is just opening on 3 January 2018, located right in the heart of Brisbane CBD.
The food and the atmosphere are indeed the same as the local restaurant in Bangkok. We order the PORK RIB ($15), the deep fried pork rib makes the meat so crispy. And the magic is the pork just melt into your mouth.
GREEN CURRY with CRISPY CHICKEN ($15) is kind of classic Thai cuisine, the green curry sauce is also very suitable with rice. The HAINAN CHICKEN ($16) is also nice, the chicken is flexible. The PADT PAK ($12), stir fried mix vegetables with mushroom sauce, is another way to keep the balance with the meat and chicken.
Finally, don't forget order the BENZINE 95 cocktail, the blue elixir that your body is needed.
D. B.
Food has got a lot better but maybe it was because I was with a Thai person. Never seem to listen to my order when I'm alone.
S. T. A.
Nice casual place to go to. If you come, you have to try the Asian chilli soft shell crab.
D. v. O.
Favourite restaurant in the city! Love their food, drinks, atmosphere and live music.
A. N.
Great for big group get togethers. Drinks very appealing to the eye, but tastes standard. Food is average.
A. C.
Love it
S. S.
Excellent Thai food, served with 10 mins and 30 bucks for a bottle of good wine.
C. H.
FOOD was soooooo goooood. Was expecting portions to be bigger, but quality of the food made up for that. And the DRINKS are insane and cheap! Love this place!
s. b.
Delicious Thai.. great place for bigger groups too
K. C.
Delicious food and very good service. Excellent place to go. The massive cocktail is really fun too
J. J.
Best Thai food I have had in Brisbane. Definitely recommend.
K. B.
Easy location in CBD. Quick meals. Service was a little confusing. Wrong meals delivered and hard to get attention of staff to sort out the situation. Food was good though.
A. B.
Food offered is of a high quality, although a little overpriced. Quite busy most of the week. Decor and atmosphere is top notch.
H. S.
Amazing cashew nut 💕🙏
G. C.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Love their pad Thai. Right up there with the best I’ve had in Australia. Highly recommend visiting.
G. C.
Excellent food, good prices and an overall great experience.
