What a great experience! My wife and I Live in the area and just discovered this amazing family run business. Everything was authentic and in large portions! I would recommend for everyone. My photos don’t do it justice. The flavours are amazing! Also the wine selection has genuine wines from Santorini, so if you have been like I have you will understand how exciting that is. Great work to the whole team, I know covids been tough but Thankyou for surviving!

Without doubt food was absolutely phenomenal. The only negative thing I’d mention is that when me and my husband arrived the restaurant we were the only customers, we chose to seat outdoor at the beginning but soon (less than 2minutes) we realised there was a roadwork outside so it was quiet noisy, hence we requested to seat inside instead. However when another group of customers (group of 4) arrived, the waiting staff arranged them to seat right next to our table (LESS THAN 1m distance in between us) while there were full of empty tables around the whole venue. That just seemed so awkward for me (there are so many spaces available why do we have to seat right next to each other? Where is the social distance?), so I requested to swap to another side but the waiting staff didn’t look happy with what I asked for at all. Also I feel they were a bit pushy of keep asking us to have wine/ drinks/ desserts even we have told we have had enough.

What an exceptional dining experience right from the arrival. Greeted at the door by happy smiling staff and were treated like royalty for the rest of the evening. The most authentic Greek food and lots of it! Very large portions and we were definitely in a food coma when we left. Santorini is also the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. Probably the best Greek restaurant in Brisbane. The food is really good, never disappointed. Bravo George and team! Came here for my bday dinner with a group and they looked after us so well. Authentic Greek dishes now available so close to home. They also do takeaway and can deliver within the area if you order directly. The slow roasted lamb was definitely a winner. Very cute decor which truly makes you feel like you’re in a taverna. Santorini Restaurant and Bar: there's simply now words for the beautiful experience we had here last Friday. We looked for a good dinner and found and experience like you'd expect to get from a good old European restaurant. Honest food made from the best of ingredients, carefully sourced wines and spirits and a crew that defines customer service. Greeted by the front of house and taken to our table, we were shortly after welcomed by George,the boss himself and a passionate sommelier. He gave us some great advice on the food selection and rounded it all off with a lovely greek Sauvignon blanc. Overall, it was simply a magical experience and we will definitely come back!

Santorini Restaurant is a great family owned business in Newstead that specialises in authentic ,traditional Greek cuisine . We have been to this restaurant several times for different occasions and I can honestly say that that the owner George and his two sons go out of their way to make you feel very comfortable and welcome, as if they have known you a life time . We always leave feeling both satisfied and impressed by the beautiful food , wine and service. If you are looking for Greek food and wine that is hearty , rustic and not pretentious you really can’t go past Santorini Restaurant. A hidden gem in the heart of Newstead that has brought genuine Greek cuisine and warm hospitality to Brisbane . Thank you!

The food was nice and staff were lovely. However I do not understand why none of the staff/waiters were not wearing masks?? Including the people in the kitchen? We are in a pandemic with a mask mandate. It concerned me quite a bit as we have been getting 10K covid cases per day and I did not feel as though this restaurant was being safe.

My wife's birthday celebrations at Santorini, turned into a sensational evening for our group of fifteen, we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate. Our hosts Yiorgos, young George and staff looked after us like gold. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious as were the drinks that flowed continuously all night. Ok. Place looks amazing but... Service was very disjointed they were very busy but still. The place is super loud from music and too many hard surfaces you have to tell to the people at your table. Wonderful night out, everything was done beautifully, my only negative comment is the volume of the singing. I love the sound of Greek music, but it was too loud. Absolutely fabulous. This was my second visit to Santorini after my daughter had raved about it (she's been many times!) and it certainly didn't disappoint. Authentic Greek food cooked by the mother of the family while the sons are waiters and George the dad is the maitre de. Excellent service, delicious food and a great wine list which includes Greek wine. Try the prawns, the zucchini chips and the stuffed calamari. Well everything we had was delicious, actually!

Lovely little place. The owner is very sweet and hospitable. The food is authentic home cooked Greek food, eating here brought me a lot of joy. The only thing I didn't expect was the entire menu is in Greek and Google translate was used a fair bit. The waiter we had didn't explain much on the menu. I was looking for a traditional Greek restaurant for a very special dinner with my partner and a friend recommended me this place. We decided to visit Santorini on Friday and definitely it was a great experience, it is incredible how the music, the wines the homemade food and top service level combined make the difference, we’ve never been to Greece but it felt like it. We had the prawns and feta saganaki, the red sauce on the prawns was balanced and tasty, however the 6 hour slow cooked lamb and stuffed calamari were off the charts, plus the wines recommended by the owner made an excellent combination. We celebrated a significant wedding anniversary at Santorini. We were warmly greeted by the staff and despite our booking noting a table inside, we were offered the choice of a table outside, which we took. The atmosphere is light and airy and we immediately felt comfortable. The waiter, who we later found out came from Chile, patiently explained the variety of dishes from the menu. We made our selection, with entree of zucchini chips with tzatziki. George, the owner and sommelier, chatted with us and expertly selected a delicious Greek Pinot Noir. The mains arrived, Youvetsi and Kleftiko 1821, and the servings were huge. The presentation was only surpassed by the taste. It was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed as much as we could fit in. Unfortunately not enough room for dessert, so that might have to wait until next time. We highly recommend Santorini for its food, friendly staff and great service.

Visited Santorini Restaurant for the second time on Saturday night, the food was lovely (recommend the 6 Hour Slow Cooked Lamb), and the way they have decorated the place is beautiful. However, compared to our last visit which was during the week and was such a great experience overall, we felt like this time they just had way too many people booked, the tables were all crammed into such a small place. I couldn't get out of my chair without asking the lady behind me to let me out and it was also a squeeze to get past the tables to go to the toilet. If we knew it was going to be this busy, we would have booked to come during the week again instead. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and talked us through the Greek Dishes and wines. Lastly, they had amazing live Greek music which was so nice to listen to and people were up and dancing around, having fun. We just wish it wasn't so loud, it echos through the whole building and we felt as if we had to yell to each other across the table just to be heard. Overall, had a really nice night and I will return. I just won't book on a Saturday again as it's too busy.

Decor was nice but lots of hard surfaces made it very loud inside. Food was alright but nothing special. Food lacked in that authentic Greek style and flavours. We had lunch at Santorini for the first time yesterday. A beautiful day and took the opportunity to dine outside. The staff were very attentive, super friendly and wanted to ensure that our experience was one that we would remember. One of the key things that we enjoyed about Santorini was the menu and different selection of Greek food that we had not previously tried. We started with the Chef's recommended Saganaki which was lightly crumbed, juicy and I believe the best we have ever tried. We followed this with the mushrooms with a trio of cheese. Topping off our entree's we went for the prawns (Garides saganaki). Large & more importantly perfectly cooked succulent prawns in a nicely balanced tomato sauce. We finished the meal off by sharing a dish of meatballs and rice with salad (Smyrnaika 1912) These meatballs are fried and then baked and they are just so juicy and tasty. The food overall was stunning in taste, perfectly cooked and just the right quantity. The service was exceptional and what you would expect at a high end restaurant. Ambience was relaxed and we understand a Greek music I think Friday & Saturday nights, although our waiter admitted he was not required to sing. Pricing is competitive. If you have not been to Santorini, we would certainly recommend you try. We will definitely be heading back.

I went in the opening week and it was a delighting experience, from Mario’s reception until George’s wine advices. The food is absolutely delicious and full of flavor, tasting like home made. I had the meat balls and later the head chef, Kostas, mentioned that it’s his grandmother recipe. In case of doubt (my case, it was the first time I tried Greek food), have a chat with the staff, they are super friendly and helpful.

🇬🇷 Santorini Restaurant Grill Bar 🇬🇷 Yasou ! The greeks are taking over Brisbane ! So this is a little bit of greek paradise, where time stands still, in the heart of gorgeous NEWSTEAD. Actually next to this restaurant is a high rise retirement building, they said I couldn’t live there just now as I’m far too attractive and young, but I digress … Such a nice place to eat and relax, great authentic greek food with happy wait staff who smile and treat you like royalty. Ok ok ok they didn’t say attractive. I had the Sardeles Pantremenes, which means married sardines. Gourmet sardines cut in half with a gorgeous honest tomato filling in between … hence married. I did see two sardines separated, not sure if I accidently knocked one by mistake or if they are separated with a divorce pending.
