Had wonderful dinning experience last night at SK. The ambiance and service was good. Enjoyed the live music. The cocktail I had (moulin rouge) was tasty. The hot sea food platter and kiwami steak were just perfect. Thumb up for the strawberry cake at the end too. Would recommend and would like to go back again.

Really liked the atmosphere and how effective the kitchen range hood was. It was an open plan kitchen right next to costumers with constant smoke from cooking, however you cannot smell the smoke at all in the restaurant. All dishes were made with high quality ingredients. The wedge salad, lobster and truffle soup and crab linguine were amazing! One aspect I did not like were the steaks. The meat quality in itself were beautiful BUT they were completely burnt black on the entire outside, literally turned to charcoal. I know some people like their steaks charcoal-ed, but the amount of black burnt area on the steak was close to 100% which became very bitter to eat… The waiter insisted this was their usual way of cooking steak on wood fire, though the chef still agreed to cook us less burnt steak which was a nice gesture. Regardless of this little hiccup with the steak, I would still go again and try their seafood and pasta! Overall still a good experience.

3.5 stars. Fantastic decoration and great location. Food was average at best. Rockefeller oyster was good. Steak and Fish main was average. Mac and cheese was too salty. Vege is standard. Service was good but rushed. Very noisy place for such expensive and high-end restaurant. Has been looking forward to try but kinda disappointed. Clean and well maintained. Ok for socialising and picture taking but had many places with better food around brisbane. So still generally recommended but some improvement esp some of the food is required.

Food, service and ambience is in a league of its own for Brisbane restaurants. The staff consistently go out of their way to heighten your dining experience. (Especially the sommelier, he is fantastic) Food quality is extremely high. Featuring a clear level of care not only in the presentation but flavour of their dishes. The setting is fantastic. Often on Friday and Saturday nights featuring live music (typically singer & pianist) truly elevating the experience. Definitely a top tier restaurant!

This is one of the best restaurants i’ve ever been to here in brisbane. Ambience was cozy and the interior was modern. The food is definitely worth every penny. We ordered sirloin steak and black angus which was perfectly cooked and just melts in your mouth. Every bite was a wonderful experience. The service is impeccable and the staff were very attentive and accomodating. The best service I’ve experienced so far. We really enjoyed our night and the dining experience

My husband invited me for dinner, we ordered the SK classic seafood platter, Moreton Bay Bug salad and chips. The food was absolutely delicious, not fault at all. The ambience is pretty average, extremely noisy and the lightening is too bright for mi liking , I think it could be more romantic, with less light and less noise. You can’t event speak as the music is too loud, the band was awesome but the volume was too high. The service is 5 stars, wouldn’t fault our waiter. The availability of sparkling wine by the bottle was very limited.

Definitely a steak and oyster place. Fresh seafood. And amazing steaks. A place that has FOIE GRAS. This place will be pricey but for special occasions it’s a perfect place. Atmosphere of this dining experience is amazing. Waiters are nice and attentive.

Tried the: 🦪 Wagyu beef ragu - good flavours, a bit on the salty side but pasta was cooked perfectly. 🦪 Kiwami steak - a great steak but definitely not worth the price. The plate could have also been garnished better.

You have to try the lobster risotto! Oh, and their Martinis. And their wine. And their beautiful bread. And their salads. And their steaks. You know what - just book a table. It's a lovely place to go for dinner with friends or for business. And the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had a late booking, and started with drinks in the cocktail bar. It just has a great atmosphere. Very much recommended trying this restaurant.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience for a birthday dinner. The oysters, lobster, steak, wine and cocktails were all 10/10. Bookings are essential and we had to go with the later seating even booking far in advance however we enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited and were able to be seated early.

Hard to beat as the favourite steak house in Brisbane. Not quite a steak house, as it does so much more than that, but its an excellent dining experience from the get go. I’m shocked by the reviews. This place is 5 star. Advice in advance to avoid disappointment: 1. Make a booking, 2. Look up the menu, and be aware of the prices. I mean for the love of god the prices are the prices if it’s too expensive from the beginning you will never enjoy it, if you go out for a nice dinner one time a year you will find this overpriced and it will be truely be impossible to please you. We spent $500 here without dessert and loved every minute, would spent that on most dinners so no didn’t find it expensive, but I prefer this style of dining, quality over quantity, not everyone wants to dine this way, and that’s fine but then this is not for you. It’s a restaurant you will get good food, good wine, good service and it will cost you good money, welcome to fine dining. We had the Oysters, they fly these in fresh daily from whichever area they believe are the best for that day, wagyu steak, prawn cocktails, lobster risotto, steak with all the trimmings and many cocktails and wines. It was excellent. People should consider what reviews do to a business we don’t need to hear your Karen opinion when you decide to share 1 entree between 2, cheapest mains possible and can’t believe you actually had to spend money on dinner, go to the pub if this is you.

We visited SK for my birthday dinner a few months ago and it definitely exceeded expectations. The hot bug and scallop starters were both delicious and a great way to start the meal. We then got the steak and pork chop for mains - loved that these came with a trio of mustards and horseradish, along with apple sauce for the pork and jus for the steak. I loved that there is a whole menu for potatoes too - we went with the Romanoff Potato which was very decadent and delicious. Crème brulee and chocolate mousse rounded off a perfect dinner. I also recommend the Pretty in Pink cocktail. Service was impeccable, staff were friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu and wine lists. Thank you!

The food and the service is just perfect. Delicious oysters, fantastic sashimi, great side dishes and most important the best steak i have eaten for a long long time! We were sitting at the bar as we didn't book a table and the lovely bartender look after us so good. Offer a perfect wine matching and then make us delicious cocktails. Unfortunately, Didn't meet expectations. When paying $600 for 4 people, I am expecting a level of fine dining which this place didn't offer. Pros - The service is impeccable - Beautiful decor Cons - Overpriced for what you get. The flavours didn't hit the mark. Steak was well cooked but the sides were underwhelming - Music was too loud and we couldn't hear each other. We asked the staff to turn it down and they said that they couldn't. The restaurant has everything to make it an amazing experience for diners. Hopefully, they make the required changes.

I start by beginning my review with refreshing ! I showed the initiative to book with the manager Brad who dined in at my restaurant a couple of days prior to my visit to SK. I have been making promises to go numerous times and finally we made it there. With my surprised I felt like I got the royal treatment from Brad and the team! Even though this is considered a high end restaurant I felt a much more relaxed vibe from the team. I have had numerous experiences at high end places where it felt rigid and overly formal. I did not get that from SK! I felt like it was a social experience as restaurant should be. I had Brad treat my girlfriend and I to a glass of champagne and entrees. Like you would if you had a guest over to your home to welcome their visit. We had a bit of laugh with one of the other team member cause she pronounced something wrong. Lastly, we had the Som and the head chef Scott and Kelvin come over to our table to say hello ! The food was out nice and quick which was a pleasant surprise! The lobster was fresh, the steak was perfectly cooked and the lobster risotto was delicious. Can’t wait to go back! Great Job SK Team 🔥

I heard only goods things about SK steak & Oyster prior to dining here last weekend and they were right. Loved the service, the vibe, interior, love singing accompanied by pianist, and finally the FOOD is fresh and cooked perfectly. Everyone seemed so happy to be dining there. We had a lovely chat to the table next to us and chit chatted about how good the food was and recommended each other dishes to try next time. Despite the reservation being quite hard to get, it’s definitely worth the wait.

Visited SK last Saturday night. First impression was the tasteful décor. We were early so we had a few cocktails at the bar. Our sever was attentive and helpful in our choices and did not disappoint. In fact some of the best cocktails in Brisbane. Food was what I had hoped for from a restaurant with this reputation and price. Although I must admit that I could not come at the $300 lobster. Is it expensive, yes. But I knew that before I went. Are the wines ridiculously priced (around 3 times retail), but I also knew that. Would I go back again...Yes. Why, because restaurants of this calibre are rare in Brisbane. For me it was a rare experience amongst the sameness of food around town. And to the people that are not all that fussed on SK, be it the food, service or music, that's unfortunate.

Very impressed with this restaurant. We did not have a booking but the hostess was very helpful in finding us a table. Great service continued throughout the evening. Favorite dishes were the scallops, beef tartare and the beautiful New York steak. The potato menu is to die for as well. The lobster risotto was a bit dry but still had good flavour. Dining at it's finest!! If you are a steak lover you MUST visit SK Steak & Oyster Bar. The premises impeccable, the service professional but what tops this off is the food is everything and more that is promised. I enjoyed a "New York cut" Sirloin cooked Medium, it melted in my mouth. I normally order a red wine jus to do with my steak however all that is needed here to really enjoy the full flavour of this exquisite piece of beef is a little hot mustard on the side. The sides just as mouthwatering, the glass of wine to wash it all down with, superb. I would go back and enjoy this experience a thousand times over. Thank you so much from a very happy customer.

It is a little pricey, but it is to be expected given the 5 star level of service you receive along with a dining experience that is of the highest standard. It is the perfect place if you are celebrating a special occasion or you're in the mood to really treat yourself. They offer a selection of steaks, fresh seafood and other options for mains if you are that way inclined. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were absolutely delicious. I'd highly recommend the Moreton Bay bug mash!

Certainly has reasonable risk going downhill with this cohort. If they can minimise that crowd might get some more wanted attention. Otherwise good fine dining option inner north brisbane.

Group dinner. Service - was ok. Food took awhile to come out even for a quiet night. Never got asked how we like our steaks cooked and they came out rarer than we liked. Value - you get charged for everything. I'm suprised they didn't bill you for the air you breathe. A normal main costs $50 to $80 (which is just a piece of meat on the plate) then your sides are nearly $15. Wowsers. Food - the steaks, sauces and mash was so salty. The steak was char grilled and parts of it tasted very burnt. Do the chefs even taste as they go? Parts of the meal you had to force feed yourself just so you didn't waste your $100 you spent on food. Way better value and tastier food out there.
