Fantastic decoration, view and location. Some nice and well presented food but seem to run out of lots of dishes on early Friday night. Friendly services but seem to be struggling with menu and billing system. Price is fair for location and quality of food but had to pay twice because the billing system forgotten a dish on the bill. Hopefully it’s just a pandemic related issues and decided to give an extra star due to covid times. Will try once more after Covid has settled. Summary: Definitely worth trying if you could close one eye on the service and support it through the pandemic.

I had a perfect anniversary dinner with milady at Tenya. The staff accomodate us very well. Mr. Stanley gave us 2 welcome drinks as we have our anniversary at the restaurant, that's very attentive. I tried to find the best sushi in Brisbane for 2 years and now i found it. Thank you very much!

Excellent food and amazing view! They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Definitely fine dining. Everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Brisbane. Love this place and will continue to visit. Highly recommended.

Very nice lunch and lovely view. Recommend to try the snapper sashimi as it is fresh and the sauce is quite unique. Lovely service and suprise for our wedding anniversary. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience

The food we had tonight was amazing, especially the oysters and sashimi! Tasted very fresh. The wagyu sushi roll was also surprisingly yummy, personally I’m not a big fan of heavy and creamy sushi, this roll was perfect in terms of taste and presentation. Will definitely visit again!

Great Japanese food. Especially loved the nasu dengaku eggplant 🍆 and Kagoshima wagyu, melt in your mouth like butter! 🥩 So good! 😍 The sashimi was alright, thickly sliced and fresh 🍣 though they served it at the very end of our dinner. Would have preferred if they serve that first. The cocktails were good, we got the Tokyo Rose and Watermelon Love Boat! Yum🍹 The restaurant is really beautiful and BIG but quite noisy with the echo. The wooden chairs especially, were pretty loud, screeching noise against the concrete floor. The outdoor seating area was not ready when we were there. Service was friendly, attentive and great. Will definitely come back!

Have dinner with friends tonight, such good food ever, tasted many Japanese restaurant in Brisbane before, I can list Tenya on top 3 Japanese restaurant. Great location, specially on Friday's shopping night, we don't need to walk far away or waiting in the food court. Will bring my family to this restaurant again maybe next week!

Valentine’s Day with the Mrs went exceptionally well beautiful view and an exquisite menu, there was a great selection to choose from the steak was delicious but was a bit poorly presented. There wasn’t an overwhelming amount on the menu either so we quite enjoyed that. Staff were lovely though spread thin. And delicious cocktails to boot

The food is exquisite. Everything is always top notch, including the service and ambience. The food is tasty and fresh, if you love seafood especially! Their dessert is mouth watering! If you’re booking for a special occasion, book the private booth or the front of the restaurant for the fantastic river views.

Had a lovely time here the other day, the food was great and with a pretty nice view. The bar was a treat, had quite a bit there and the bartender seemed more then Happy to answer all my questions and the cocktails were great. Side note the traditional kimonos worn are amazing

We recently held our Heavenly White Christmas function at Tenya Japanese Restaaurant and Bar, a five star venue. Loved this place with all dishes I and my hubby ordered on our wedding anniversary. They are king fish sashimi, tempura king fish, scallop sushi roll, salmon fried rice and five layered fresh salmon and vegs in nice sauce. Very tasty and fresh ingredients! I have eaten in this restaurant 5 times, each time the food was excellent and the seafood fresh. The staff provided outstanding service. The location and views of the river and Southbank is amazing. I would not hesitate to return and refer my friends to this restaurant.

Me and my partner went to Tenya for lunch today. One of our friends recommended the Nigiri Sushi set as she had it a few weeks ago and she said its the best she's ever had. My partner and I ordered this dish, and the sea urchin tempura (interesting), and the oysters. GOSH WE WERE BLOWN AWAY! I LOVE Japanese food experience and I frequent to the likes of Sono, Sake, Yoko..etc I thought I know Japanese food but these dishes were just amazing with high quality. My partner had a good chat with the manager, Steven (?) he's super friendly and told us there's a special VIP room with very traditional degustation courses and its the first in Queensland. It's our anniversary next Month so we can't wait to give it a try.

I had my 31st birthday party with my bestie at Tenya on Saturday night. We had over 32 people and the restaurant gave us the best seat in the house on the balcony so we could enjoy the million dollar view. The host Stanley was very helpful in answering all of our questions weeks leading up to the event before hand and helped us to design a special banquet menu at $88 per person. The food was exquisite, all of my friends loved it and I had Australian, Macedonian, Latvian, Irish, Napalese, Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese friends on the night and they were all surprised by how amazing the food was. We had courses we've never tasted before and the presentation of food is another level. I used to go to Sono Portside all the time but Tenya is definitely another level of Japanese food. The cocktails, Japanese slipper and Japanese Rose were to die for and my girlfriends have drank the bar dry and the barman ran out of the ingredients. He invited us to come back with half price cocktails on Friday nights as he says there's a promotion going on for Ladies Nights. Half way through the night, the storm clouds rolled in and had a bit of rain, but we were still dry out on the balcony. Somebody triggered the fire alarm off and the fire brigade came and that was quite funny to watch. The service was a little messy but all of the staff were super friendly and apologised for being slower as they said one of their young staff did not turn up to work. Overall, SUPER HAPPY and a BIG THANK YOU to Stanley and the Tenya team. I will be making a booking for the Christmas party!

Had an outstanding night here on Monday. A personal touch to a menu, with food and drink specifically made for the night was a delight. The dishes on selection for the evening delicious will have to come back for what wasn’t on the menu but I understand why it was a smaller menu. Drinks were lovely all were very pink tho haha but for Valentine’s Day I think that’s a given, amazing Valentine’s Day not to pricey either
