We ordered the crab sandwich and croc burger. The sandwich comes in cold and not toasted. However, the crab meats are berry fresh and tasty. The croc burger with mince croc meat rather than a patty. I was a bit disappointed. It is still worth to try if you are stopping by this town.

Had to try the crab sandwich. Unfortunately no mud crab when we were there so spanner crab it was. Busy little servo/shop, nice service, food was good. I would like to see more crab on the sandwich and would pay a bit more, otherwise the sandwich was made fresh and crab was fresh. $10.90 for spanner crab sandwich and $6.95 for the crab pie.

Crab sandwich: you get given two half's, take the top half off each one and place the two bases together and then it feels like it's got some crab meat in it. Just normal servo food.

Lovely fresh sandwiches, I'm pleased to say they are back to the standard I knew and loved 20 years ago. I don't do trips up or down QLD very often, so I'm glad they are great again. My only problem is the amenities still seem to be a contentious subject. I'm always busting when I pull up and need a toilet before I can fuel up or buy food. Apparently you have to purchase something FIRST to be able to use the toilets. 😒 The excuse that the toilets need to be maintained and cleaned up and that's why they aren't available freely is a bit rich. I'm not inclined to stop at the park and use those toilets first, before stopping here to then fuel up and purchase food to go. It's not "cheap" food....and I find the attitude of the attendant rather abrupt. But the crab sandwiches were delicious.

A big THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at 'The Big Crab' Roadhouse and Restaurant in Miriam Vale in Central Queensland for their warm hospitality in kindly allowing me to stay a few hours while waiting for the train after my car broke down. Their coffee is superb and they tell me their crab sandwich is to die for. So please, anyone travelling along the mighty Bruce Hwy through Miriam Vale, stop, fill up your car and enjoy the great food and warm hospitality I have been lucky enough to receive. Thanks again guys!

Stopped in here for breakfast with the family this morning. Bacon and egg muffin, hash brown and coffee deal was excellent, so delicious and freshly cooked. We were able to eat at the tables outside. Would definitely stop here again.

Stop by here on one occasion to try the crab sandwich and it was very delicious. Well worth the trip. Drove up from Brisbane. Nice town to stop by to have a stretch and relax. The lady at the counter was very friendly and good service.

It's very unique. Croc pies? Crab Sandwiches? give it a go. A solid truck stop - that doesn't look impressive inside or out - but thats what makes it so special. Always felt the staff were really friendly.

Staff are nice. Lots of unique lollies to choose from. Food is ok for something quick. Toilets are locked but very clean. Heads up Men's toilet is in front of the window, was able to see my partner and all his glory from outside the toilet block.
