I enjoyed spending time with my friends to celebrate my cupcake’s birthday. The restaurant has a very intimate atmosphere and is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. And good service as well, thank you Ruby.👍👍👍

The Kenmore Tavern has lots of different spaces -- a restaurant/coffee shop, a really nice courtyard and pub area, and a Back Bar for playing pool and wagering if you happen to be into that. (I'm not.) Live music 1:30-5:30 Sundays in the courtyard. (Parking tip: it gets a bit full between the Tavern and ALDI; park at the First Choice bottle shop OR drive around front, past the Post Office and toward Nando's and Woolies...always spots in those two places.)

Nice ambience. Friendly staff. Ok food. Ordered two stake dishes, a pork dish, and a risotto. Nice place to have a drink and a meal. Presentation of food could be improved for the price charged. Food tasted ok. But such a nice place and ambiance it can certainly improve on food. I am sure it's an honest mistake since it was a busy night. we were overcharged for the drinks. However, the staff was very helpful in getting it sorted.

Each pub should be compared by the quality of its parmie, and let me tell you, this was a bloody good parmie. Great flavour, crunchy chips, generous serving size, and at the time of writing this review if you ordered between 5 - 6pm it was half price. How good! Staff are lovely and super friendly, and the place has a great vibe. The venue manager Nick even took time to greet and chat with me. Top bloke. 👍 Will come back for sure!

Great value for money Melbourne Cup lunch. Person who seemed to be in charge could have been more diplomatic with customers. Could have been asked earlier if we would like to move into the lounge at 3.00pm, as they wanted to start getting ready for dinner. Had no warning and were told to move from our table at 3.00pm when he proceeded to clear the table before we had chance to move. Pretty rude I thought. Despite this person's lack of tact and professionalism, we all had a great day with fabulous food and the other staff were sensational and compensated for ' the boss'.

We have been here quite a few times of late and have to say it’s become a favourite. Dale and the team in the restaurant are always lovely, funny, chatty and ensure our meals are perfect. Chefs do a great job with the food, it’s fresh, you don’t wait long and they have an extensive menu for even the most fussier of eaters. Thanx Dale for always making our visits a pleasure!

Dinner last night was nice, the food and service was fine. However very disappointing that my 10 yo daughter's meal came out about 15/20 minutes before the rest of the meals. She had finished hers before we even started ours. Thanks for your response. However we shouldn't really have to ask for the meals to be brought out at the same time, should we? My family and friends gathered here tonight to celebrate my son's 21st Birthday. The staff - especially our lovely waitress Jordan - could not have been more helpful and welcoming, with everything from dealing with the fancy cake we brought to coping with our large group on a busy Friday night. The staff very kindly put us in the private function room, which was awesome! The food was superb, delicious, with good size helpings, plus a great variety for the vegetarians in our group. Jordan was fairly new to the job but so professional and looked after us all so well - thank you again, Jordan. I have been here several times and can highly recommend the food, the service and the ambience. We are already planning our next visit!

Unfortunately our experience at the restaurant last night was tainted by the manager wearing the wooden bow tie. My partner politely asked him a question about the wine glasses and it was met with a rude, disrespectful and defensive response. We then observed his behaviour throughout the night with not only other patrons but his poor staff and although we couldn’t hear specifics, the body language of both customers and employees made it very clear about his attitude to not only ourselves but others. Perhaps hospitality is not the right industry for him. Thankfully our lovely waitress Laura was able to redeem the mangers behaviour. Her service was friendly, polite and attentive and we cannot thank her enough for ensuring the rest of our meal was extremely pleasant. She should be applauded for her excellent service.

It's my 'local' because the atmosphere is always friendly as a result of good staff and nice regulars who always say g'day whether or not they know you. The ambience created by open indoor and outdoor areas makes it perfect in any kind of weather or personal mood.

My husband and I have enjoyed a regular dinner here for over a year. Always great service/food, BUT over the last month or so the customer service has stepped up from an already great level. The staff have obviously had extra training, always address specials and are now super hero’s and obviously lead by great managers. As regulars at the Kenmore we love the friendliness of the staff, the food, the music and atmosphere. They are always very welcoming, and in fact having our drinks poured as we are approaching the bar is the icing on the cake! It’s a great local pub, a top recommend for everyone.

Came here very early (5:30) with our young kids. Very accomodating staff, kids loved their kids meals and the fillet mignon steak was perfectly cooked for adults. Chips are addictive! The only thing that could make it easier for families with young kids would be some activity packs (which they used to have).

The Kenmore is a fantastic place to sit down and have a meal. The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and the atmosphere at the Kenmore is wonderful. Really enjoyed our dinner tonight, a little bit slow, only because the staff and the kitchen staff were very busy with the orders from the customers, but the food was well worth the wait that’s for sure. We can not fault anything with this venue. If you want a fantastic night out, with wonderful food and a great atmosphere, definitely give the Kenmore a go. Will definitely be coming back again, if I could give 6 stars I would, so 5 stars from us :)

Had a really lovely meal at the Kenmore last night. It had been a while between visits but the service and atmosphere was perfect including the glow of the fire keeping us toasty warm and adding to the ambiance. We celebrated by wife's 40th birthday last night at the Kenmore Tavern in the courtyard. Chantel and the events team were easy to work with and very flexible with the booking, especially given the ever present risk of lockdowns. Love the free booking / minimum spend pricing structure. The location, decorations and the live music can earn a 5 star. However, the food quality and presentation is something between 2 to 3 stars. From what we ordered, the lamb salad was just a green salad with some old cold pulled lamb on top. The risotto was disappointing in terms of both presentation and taste. So, all in all wanna be positive and give a 4 star not 3.

Food was good, what they had, but had only four dessert options but had run out of one. Gluten free burger bun turned out to be slices of bread. Make sure you take your over 18 ID as my 21 year old was told they looked under age. Surely when they are obviously in the company of their parents in their 50s there would have been a bit of leeway. Won't be bothering again for a while. Such a shame as it used to be worth the drive.

We had an enjoyable evening with good food and service. Being new to Australia and a native of English pubs and some Canadian restaurant chains, the Aussie “Tavern” has been a bit of adjustment. Some of the places we’ve been have had zero charm, like eating on a factory floor and a feel that the place is set up to be bomb proof. The vibe there gives the impression that management assume every table will drop a pint on the floor or start a food fight, and easy cleanup on hardy industrial surfaces had better be a priority. Thankfully the Kenmore was not like this at all. A nice atmosphere, lots of families out having a nice time and enjoying good food. We had very friendly service and the app we used for ordering was complete and easy to use. I had a fillet steak (very thick, great job by the chef to kitchen to get it to medium), wife’s chicken schnitzel was good and the pizza for my son was not your rubbish frozen variety, so all good there. The frozen chips were pretty ordinary. It seems it’s pretty universal for restaurants to not see how they could buy some potatoes, slice them and drop them in the fryer themselves and make something 10 times better, but I digress :) We will be back and I can recommend, especially if you can come in when there are discounts on your order.

Wow, what a gem of a place. The food was amazing. Kids spag bol was huge and high quality. the atmosphere is relaxed with fine dining decor and comfy chairs. We had the barra and risotto and both were lovely. The best part is the team, the service right from the first minute was exceptional. My experience here yesterday was lovely. Excellent cocktails, prompt and tasty food, and attentive staff. Update (01/2017): I've been back several times since my first review and I have to say this place keeps impressing me. I've been during Octoberfest and the pork hock was fantastic. Recent lunches there have not disappointed either. And now the kids get little colouring books and activities, which helps the parents have a nice meal! Fantastic all round. - Went for a Monday lunch. The Staff were very good - helpful, attentive, and friendly: everything service staff should be. The decor is elegant. From what I can gather from other reviews the place used to be quite dark and gloomy, not anymore. Starter: Courgette fritters with whipped feta. The batter was soft and not crispy, the whipped feta too salty. Not a great start... But the mains made up for it. Mains: Pulled lamb shoulder, pita bread, tomato, rocket, yoghurt, tahini and fries - delicious. The pulled lamb was juicy, and the combination worked well. And for a great price. Market fish was also ordered: pan fried Barramundi with a tomato based sauce, roasted potatoes and coleslaw. The fish was cooked to perfection, presented beautifully and tasted great. Will definitely be back to sample more from the menu.

Attended the Night in Capri on NYE and it was sensational! The food was so delicious. The staff were knowledgeable on what they were serving. Ordered a steak to be cooked medium, it came out very rare. They quickly took it back, upgraded my steak and gave the new one back cooked perfectly. The manger (who was unaware of the issue) came and spoke to us about the new app and had a genuine conversation with us. We tried his new butterscotch cocktail and it was amazing! Genuinely nice staff and good food! Hopefully they do well post COVID.

We turned up twice on two different nights. The first night on a Tuesday was a nightmare. The staff including the Assistant Manager Bec does not even know much about the 50% off offer for the promotion period. Surely, the staff should be well instructed about what was entailed in the offer, especially when it came from the headquarters! We were seated before the 1930 hrs. limit before the offer expires for that day. However, due to the number of patrons being served then, our orders were not taken and sent to the kitchen till a few minutes after the run out time. Guess what? During our payment time, the young girl claiming to to be the manager at the counter refused to honour the discount for the meal. She even claimed that the discount is only available if the order is done online from home! Wow! Can you imagine a group of people all having to order online from home when a proper dining experience involves everyone chatting about what to order. Then, she called up the Assistant Manger to handle an obviously disgruntled customer. This other person agreed with all the comments of the supposedly more senior and younger manager. She refused the discount and then handed me a pamphlet that stated in bold print that one can indeed order in the restaurant..unbelievable ignorance & lack of training of the counter staff! When this situation was reported to the restaurant manager Nicholas, he told me he was aware of the problem the night before and personally offered to wait on the larger group on the following Saturday. All of us were pleased with our dining experience that Saturday night. Nicholas is a credit to any contemporary dining venue. And, the staff who waited on us were exemplary. That said, as reviewed by other patrons the staff in general needs quite a bit of customer relations training and product knowledge to bring the restaurant up to at least a 4 star rating.

This place has a really great aesthetic and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the meals we ordered were a bit too expensive for the quantity, and the quality that we received (the Deli Board, a Chicken Ceasar Salad, and a couple of serves of Chips). A couple of our drinks (a Beer, and a Rum & Coke), were more expensive than expected, and seemed very watered down and lacked the expected flavour. However, upon returning the Rum & Coke, we were provided with an adequate replacement, at no extra charge. Over all, this would be a good place for a dinner date, or dinner with a group friends. However, do keep in mind that you may not get what you expect from each meal.

Ate here for the second time today, the first time was disappointing but this time it was great. The 400g rump was huge and cooked perfectly (medium rare), the chips and coleslaw were excellent like last time, the blue cheese topper was a bit cheap but strong and tasty nonetheless. The only down side was the "cognac truffle" butter which was very disappointing, even eating it straight it just tasted like butter, not even a hint of anything else, i like butter on my steak but it wasn't a substitute for a real sauce or gravy. Overall a much better experience than last time and I'll definitely be eating here again.

Booked a table for 18 on Saturday night. We were asked if the garden bar was suitable and agreed it would be fine. We’d miscounted and needed 19 seats but it wasn’t a fuss to organise the extra. Our waitress did a fantastic job on such a big table on an already busy night. One order was made without the requested extras but corrected quickly and without fuss as well as drinks for those affected offered on the house. Reactions to meals ranged from ‘okay’ to ‘really good’. A good way to summarise is that it’s standard pub fare at normally expected prices. Our bill averaged just over $30 per person for a main and drink. Again, our waitress was a champ as she handled the many splits with finesse. The venue is clean, well decorated and well appointed. Facilities are modern. The Kenmore boasts a sports bar, restaurant and pokie lounge in a busy corner shopping strip. Parking here might be quite busy at peak times.

We booked the private dining room for our end of year dinner. It was great to be able to move around and have our own music, audiovisuals, light and aircon settings in a very comfortable space that we could decorate ourselves. The ability to block out external noise was wonderful for conversation. The minimum spend is extremely reasonable. The food was good (my chocolate brownie was heavenly) and the service excellent (which I've found to be the case whenever I've been to The Kenmore). Skye looked after us brilliantly, even though at times it must have been like herding cats. Thanks Skye from all of us! And thanks Arlene for helping me to organise the night. I felt that I was in very safe hands. A hint to anyone booking the room: If you get everyone to pay prior to the night and organise pay-as-you-go drinks at the bar, there is no juggling of finances at the end of the night.

Wonderful experience. Went for the first time on a Thursday evening for our teens birthday. We had the brisket, octopus, salmon and pork chop; all were absolutely gorgeous. Exceptional service from Jess and the lovely gentleman floor manager whose name unfortunately I did not get. We brought a birthday cake which was escorted out with lovely candles on top which they took the initiative to supply and light for us (I forgot candles and didn't even think to ask if they had any). That was such a nice and considerate touch which was really appreciated. Thank you for such a lovely evening, we will definitely be back!

KT I think it's time to lift your game. Hire staff who have been trained in restaurant service, who take pride and understand their job is making memorable experiences for customers. Then supervise them well to make sure they are delivering service to consistently high standards. I believe you have a responsibility to your community to create a business that shines. The number of mediocre reviews that you are getting online should be a wake up call to you. Bring in a business consultant to advise you on how to reinvigorate your business.

We're very fortunate to have the Kenmore Tavern as our local. Great layout and ambience for drinks. However, don't expect food of culinary standards. Just mediocre pub grub poshed up in presentation. Tavern can be rather stingy and inconsistent with proportions. Latest meal there was a Prawn Pizza that had a miniscule cut-up prawn in each section of pizza. So, essentially, about 3 prawns on a pizza costing $21? The Seniors Meal of Fish and Chips was smaller than a child's proportion. Then again, restaurant is constantly packed, so plenty of west-siders happy with mediocre food in attractive surrounds. In summary, a decent place for drinks.
