Fast service! I had my garlic prawn pizza in around 5 minutes. Spicy, but not too spicy. Really delicious. On my own tonight, will return with friends and family. Pizza was $25, plenty big enough for one hungry bloke. Wait staff and Maître d' were attentive and friendly. The following makes me sound obsessed by drink prices. I must note that I was provided with a nice, chilled carafe and glass when seated without having to ask. Nice one. Regarding drinks, the Campari soda was $17 which seemed steep at first. It was perfectly mixed though and served with a large orange slice and big 🧊 I had a cappuccino after my meal; good, but not amazing- I prefer more flavourful coffee, I'll just get another shot next time. Coffee was $7, 😰 but maybe that's normal for the Campbell shops?

We walked in and saw the wood fired pizza oven and knew we were in for a good time. We ordered the garlic prawn pizza, the toppings were generous and fresh and the crust was perfectly cooked. Only downside to this place was the pricing which was a bit expensive at $26 for one pizza. I would go back again though as the service was good and the pizza yummy

Great tasting simple pizzas which remind me of pizza in New York. The dough had great taste and texture while the toppings and sauce were FRESH. No spirits but they have a nice wine list. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions.

A minimalist authentic style Italian cafe/restaurant nestled in Blamey Place Campbell. The pizza’s are traditional wood fired and without a knife and fork need to be eaten New York style (folded so the topping doesn’t slip out). They are simple but absolutely delicious!😋😋😋 I was part of a large group of 14 celebrating a friend’s significant birthday and while a little cramped the evening was most enjoyable with the delightful young gentlemen serving us doing everything to make us comfortable. The wine list is simple but adequate but no spirits if thats what you prefer. The desert was a Tiramisu birthday cake specially made for us to share and it was the lightest, fluffiest Tiramisu I think I have ever tasted. I can’t wait to go back with just a small group to explore the menu further. 🍝 🍕 🥗🥂 21/7/21 Went back with a friend for her birthday lunch. The pizzas were perfect and we shared a very tasty simple salad with a red wine reduction dressing. Delizioso❣️😋

Went there today for lunch with a large group of people. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The pizzas are the best so far I have had in Canberra. Now I just need to learn how to make my pizza look as good as this in my wood fired pizza oven.

Had the prosciutto and rocket pizza and the salami and cherry tomato pizza. They were excellent! Crust was crisp and there was the perfect amount of toppings which tasted great. Service was really good as well.

My friend and I at the last minute decided to have dinner here after work tonight. The menu had a great variety of pizzas, some starters and deserts. There were so many great choices it was hard to narrow it down but we both eventually did. The pizzas were cooked to perfection, just the right amount of topping i.e. very traditional Italian topping and not overloaded, and a great flavoured base. I've been trying to find a great pizza place since my favourite place closed down several years ago and I feel I have found it. The customer service was excellent also. Friendly service. The dough had a really nice texture and chew, and I liked my four cheese pizza. They ran out of GF bases on the day we went, so my wife had to stick to a salad. My pizza would have benefited from a more even cheese distribution and I felt the dough would have benefited from a pinch of salt. With an uneven cheese spread, the slices without gorgonzola end up tasting a bit bland by comparison. As for the salt, it's not noticeable on the four cheese but I think it would have improved the Margherita experience.

My friends and I had a picnic down by the lake and when we collected our pizzas, our pizzas were made so quickly and the customer service was outstanding ! a really cool vibe they have going on in Campbell and everyone enjoyed the pizza. One of my friends is also vegan and we all tried the vegan pizza and it honestly was the best one !! big love to the team at Department of Pizza :)

The department of pizza is a serious place for pizza lovers-no fluffing around. It's the meeting place of the wood fired slice and the palate. Indoor and outdoor seating available,the pizza was decent sized with secret yummy ingredients. I would have liked more olives though on it.

Delicious pizza base with tasty toppings. Don't expect to get loaded pizzas here as this is wood fired traditional style topping pizzas. A large pizza is filling for one. Recommend ordering a few types to share at the table. Service was friendly fast!

Located at the Campbell Park shops, Department of Pizza does great premium pizzas with great customer service. The pizzas are priced around the $20 mark, cooked by wood fire and come out very quick during lunch time on a week day. I've tried the potato & prosciutto, pesto & cherry tomato, margherita and the four cheese and they were all excellent. My favourite are the pesto & cherry tomato and the potato & prosciutto. Keen to try the rest of the menu.

This place does exceptional pizzas in a traditional style in Italian sized proportions. Staff were super helpful and accommodated all of our needs. The space is a bit boomy but it's new so they'll probably fix it after a little while of being open. Other than that it was a really nice, clean, modern dining room that complemented the excellent meal.

Finally, we have found a good pizza place in Canberra. It's a really good dough. Light and not too much sauce. Customer service and speed were great. We (two) thought two pizzas would be enough for us, but It wasn't. We wish we get a salad or side dish.

It was so easy to book in a sit down dinner via their reservations system, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their food, the ambience was relaxing and casual, the pizza crust was thin enough (although it would have been even better if they offer seafood options) and the cannoli was unbeatable!! Definitely come here for an authentic italian pizza experience.

Delightful location, good seating outside. Customer service is great, had a particular good experience dealing with a miscommunication and there was an obvious desire to maintain harmony. Dough they use is very tasty and not too heavy, and the choice of salami is top notch.

I'm from Melbourne, here for a conference. It's 4 degrees, feels like 1 degree and raining. With a name like the Department of Pizza how can I not try this? The reviews are great and the pizza certainty does not disappoint! Garlic prawns, perfect amount of chilli, same with the cheese and fresh tomatoes. That crust was sensational. Why can't I get pizza this good in Melbourne? Hats off to you. You've made my day. Thank you.
