Alright, this is an easy one. I'll keep it quick. Take a KFC Zinger Burger, make it 30% bigger, the chicken 40% better, and the ingredients 50% tastier and you've got the Spicy Fricken Burger. Served with delightfully crispy chips with a good seasoning on them, and you can even grab a Capital beer with it. The staff were really friendly and the restaurant was well kept. Easily one of the best chicken burgers in Canberra. Highly recommend.

Literally the best thing I’ve ever had! 😍 Saw a friend post a pic of the deep fried brownie, so when I went to Canberra from Sydney, I made sure to pop in and had a box and dessert! Just recently was down in Canberra again and went twice during my trip. I love it so much. My only complaint is that there isn’t one in Sydney 😂😭

Had the classic chicken burger lunch deal which includes chips and drink. Really enjoyed the food! Fillet is generous, crispy and delicious, chips with seasoning also good. The oreo milkshake was outstanding. Recommended!

7/10 ~19$ for a burger + a decent serve of fries seems reasonable. Tried two different fried chicken burgers Burgers weren't greasy, which can be a rarity for fried chicken. They tasted fresh & chicken was crispy but could have done with a bit more flavour. I'm never a fan of American cheese, especially on chicken burgers but that can be a personal preference. Chips were fairly ordinary American style fries but I know some prefer those. Thought they could have done with something like aioli or mayonnaise to balance the salt & what I think was ramen seasoning?

The food at Fricken Chicken definitely exceeded my expectations! The chicken burger had a huge juicy piece of meat and the flavours were balanced. The sides including wings and cheesey mash were all cooked nicely and tasted great. The service could be improved a little, as a component of one of the dishes was missing and we were not informed. Overall great causal catch up place in Braddon.

Newish restaurant located in Braddon. Staffs were very friendly. The sauces were awesome. I find that the chicken wings could have been better if fried from fresh chicken. Fried cauliflower was great and came in chunks.most of all I loved the chips.

I love the Fregan Vegan burger. It is soooo good. And the milkshakes, amazing!! I hope they change the mini fridge water bottles though, the cork was looking a bit gross. Apart from that, I would definitely go here over Grease Monkey. Better bang for your buck.

Tried the burgers for the first time based on the recommendations as the most popular takeaway food in canberra It was tasty, but it was very over priced for what you get and not filling compared to other places. Disappointing....

Have not tried the restaurant but the food truck... AMAZING BURGERS! Pulled up near a brewery in Kingston and served awesome food with great and friendly service. I usually do not eat fried chicken but this was excellent - great chicken and chips but greasy! Try the slaw burger! They crushed it!

This place has probably the best chicken in Canberra, and their gluten free options are I believe Celiac safe. I particularly recommend their desserts, which can easily double your bill without anybody complaining since they're so nice. The vibe is pretty casual, often with the music pumped a bit, and they're open pretty late.

Frickin great, genuine customer service! My apparently invisible car was hit by a U turning 4WD with a massive bull bar just outside the shop. Maybe they were thinking about a fried chicken lunch? Maybe they were just another distracted Canberra driver with their head up their ****? I spent a lot of time dealing with the insurance company on the phone and waiting for the tow truck on what was a cold, rainy day. One of the staff came out to chat and suggested I wait in the dry and warmth of the shop. After they tow truck finally took my car I sampled the fried chicken if just to show some gratitude... and it was fantastic! Just what I needed that afternoon. Thanks again.

It's only been open for two weeks, but we've already been here three times! The chicken tenders are succulent, juicy and tender. Chips are crisp and well seasoned. I'm salivating just thinking about it... Get ya Fricken on. You won't regret it.

Burgers were tasty. But the tastiness ended there unfortunately. The chips were not cold but not hot and flavourless. Smokey BBQ wings tasted watered down and so did the blue cheese sauce. The tomato sauce tasted cheap and the food took a longer than expected time to come out, given how many people were in here when we came for a late lunch. Sorry guys, not worth going out of you way for, for anything other the burgers. Atmosphere in the place was nice and staff were friendly but were too polite (ie, silent) to be more helpful.

I ordered the Fregon Burger (non meat) yum with a side of onion rings because they are AWESOME here and a shake. Way to much food but it was all delicious. We ate in(book a table if your planning to eat), it was clean and tidy, the service was quick and the food was YUM.

In short: Chicken 5/5, Sides 3/5 I've been here twice now since the restaurant opened, and I can say for certain that the chicken is fricken good. First time was for the Fricken burger, which I'd give a solid 5/5. Everything I wanted out of a fried chicken burger. Second time, I got chicken & waffles as a Canada Day weekend treat to drown my homesickness over the pandemic in sticky maple syrup goodness, with a side slaw. Again, excellent chicken, but the sides were where the dish fell flat for me. The waffle was good, but a bit dry. The coleslaw was lacking in flavor. And ironically, the maple syrup - what drew me to the dish in the first place as a reminder of home - was the biggest disappointment of the meal. If it's real maple syrup, it's certainly not a good one. Very thin, and not much maple flavor to it. Still, all that said... highly recommend the chicken!

Very friendly staff, nice spacious seating. We sat outside and the staff was super helpful and turned the heaters on for us! Generous servings. We got the Fricken burger, Fricken box and the buffalo wings with side of onion rings. The onion ring batter was teeth shattering! Buffalo wings was not super spicy so go crazy! The skin is still crispy from frying before getting covered if their sauce. Potato skin fries is a nice touch! Will definitely return

Edit four months later: Tried the vegan cauliflower nuggets and they still very soft mushy and too greasy. I've given it a second chance. Don't think I'll come back again. The new vegan burger tastes quite nice overall but the vegan patty which is cauliflower nuggets was way too soft and mushy in the one that I ordered, and not very hot either. I'm sure if it just comes off the deep frier and goes into the burger it would have tasted much crispier and better. So not really impressed with the vegan patty. But the chips are nice and crispy. A relatively large portion for me and I couldn't finish all of it. As a vegan I feel really bad about wasting food. I wish I had known to ask for less chips. Overall a good experience. Happy to see places offering more plant-based options now. Staff were all lovely and accommodating.

Delicious. The chicken was tender and tasty, everything was cooked to perfection and didn't take long to come out, prices aren't too bad considering the quality. My son is a coeliac so he was thrilled to be able to have crispy chicken strips, chips and a deep fried brownie with ice cream! The rest of the family had the two kids meals, CMG box (cheese, mash and gravy with chicken strips), and the chicken and waffles, followed by the AMAZING Biscoff waffles! Yum. Definitely recommend, and we will be back again! (Particularly on a Sunday for the half price kids meals).

Absolutely amazing food, great service and super friendly staff. I've tried most of the menu and it's all delicious - you can't go wrong. Plus there's generally something new to try! There's something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans. The fried chicken is always succulent and never overdone or oily, the chips are easily some of the best I've had and the desserts and shakes are incredible 🤤.

Nice quality food with Tap beer, friendly staff, good customer service and spacious seating arrangement. Worth trying this restaurant at least once with your mates if you feel like a Tap beer and fried chicken.
