As we have been enjoying the cuisine from the sub continent all our lives, it is very hard for us to get bedazzled through creativity and ingenuity. The food 🍲 and the presentation at Ganjees has not only bedazzled us but also refreshed our palates. Totally recommend Ganjees if you are in Canberra. Even if you are not, plan a trip... Its totally worth it. 'Thank you' to the staff for their hospitality.

All foods I have ordered were awesome in taste tough it took longer than expected time to serve. It would be great if they can provide both fork and spoon when main course is served. Additionally more varieties are expected under soft drinks section like salt/sweet lassi, jeera lassi, soda lime water, coke, sprite etc.

It was very late and public holiday night. Every cafes and restaurants was closed #ganjees was the only place that we could go in. Food was excellent even though they were about to close, we got best service from the staff. Saved our night♥️

Sometimes you go to restaurants with no or low expectations and are so pleasantly impressed. That was my experience at Ganjees last night. The flavours were crisp and clean, and the meat and vegetable dishes were well cooked and delicious. I really love Indian food and I am prepared to say that this is the best I have had in Canberra I think.

Unique Indian restaurant for sure. The outdoor seating vibe is awesome. Not the usual Indian food, so don't go here searching for "That Authentic Indian Food". Quantity is less, Quality is high. So go ahead and even order 3+ appetizers and you will finish them in a jiff. Might feel expensive as the quantity is less. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Cocktail menu can be better. The hosts are very nice and friendly. No baby changing station in men's room (2021 hello!). They forgot our dessert order though, but that's ok as everything else was very satisfactory!! 👍🏾👍🏾😊😊 Going back again for sure!!! Also it's in Lonsdale street.. so you know about parking during the weekends and evenings 😣!!

I'm very keen to go here gain. I dined here as part of a group of 8. We did the chef's tasting menu with paired wines and I must say we were all very impressed. The menu itself doesn't do justice to the food that is served. All courses were amazing, with a modern take on some traditional dishes. I actually ate at one of Canberra's top rated restaurants the following night and I think Ganjees is at least on par. So do yourself a favour and try the tasting menu with paired wines.

We enjoyed the food experience, as it wasn’t too busy during the time when we went which made it a pleasurable evening. The presentation of the food is very alluring and delightful thus creating a very lovely atmosphere to the venue. Certain aspects of the food showed off it’s charm, such as serving curry in a naan bread bowl and serving up rice in a teapot. I recommend this restaurant. Honestly would not have gone without watching the Hoyts advertisement.

If you're looking for something special for dinner and love Indian food you have to go. The food was amazing and presentation was gorgeous. If you have time order a degustation menu. The table near us had gorgeous morsels delivered. Our meal was the best Indian food we have eaten. Lamb lollipops, Goat curry, Duck and lychee curry and garlic chili cheese naan. Great service too.

We love the diversity on their menu and there's a dish for everyone. The service is quick with friendly staff and ambience is great. Hidden Gem!!!!This is not just an ordinary Indian place. I had a ball everything we tried on the menu was divine. we had scallops with mango coconut salsa for starter what a combination. First of all the Food was lovely, this was my first time ever eating here and i love all of it. Ansh Treated me and my friends with classy indian food i could get in canberra. The Chilli Cheese Garlic naan was a gem with all the curries and the amazing dessert called mitthai coconut was just the best sweet i had in canberra. A nice place with great food. The decor is coordinated with retro style art of holy men, I believe. We had the beef Malabar and lamb eggplant curry. The raita had pomegranate in it, which was great. Naan and rice were spot on although the serve could be better. Dessert was served in a book. Overall a great experience, for a nice occasion.

Handling a private party and looking after guests at the same time is no easy task. There was a wait but we did get looked after well by the staff.. Kudos to ansh and raghuveer for taking care of me and my friend.. The vibes were good, good Bollywood music, tasty food especially the mutton . Handled well for a Saturday.. Absolutely amazing outdoor seating with the ambiance to match! Perfect fusion of traditional Punjabi “dhaba” style with a western touch 🧚‍♀️ Mum and I headed in for a quick dinner and it did not disappoint!! There were a few hiccups during our service but we left beyond satisfied ☺️ Our entree fish dish was rather dry and our mains took an extremely long time to come out. Eventually we were told that our mains were served at another table. The lady that looked after us, Neetu was beyond amazing in handling the mix up! She was honest about the reason for the delay and apologized on behalf of the new member of staff that made the error. I can only imagine what a wonderful work environment it must be for the staff as we later discovered that she was the owner! She promptly offered us complimentary drinks 🥂and when we mentioned the dry fish she served us the best tandoori platter (on the house) we have ever tasted 😍😍😍 We were blown away! The staff were attentive and extremely pleasant! We overindulged in our mains! The biryani was delightful and the curry base for the duck left us licking our fingers! Definitely worth a visit! We will be back for the warm service and excellent food! 💃🏻 💃🏻 💃🏻

The food from this restaurant is superb. Flavour is spot-on; not too spicy and not too bland. The service is friendly and polite. There is a great selection on the menu, allowing for an enjoyable meal in the Indian culture and style. The atmosphere is spacious and comfortable. Wonderful food and top service! Gan-jeez is much more than just your corner Indian restaurant, this place is worth driving across town for, as we did. Although you can have your standard curries, why would you when there is a menu filled with creative and original dishes which are both beautifully presented and have amazing flavours. But in addition to the food, you can't go past the service, which is friendly and attentive but without being smothering. Highly recommended!!

The food is good but beware hidden delivery charges. I ordered the "curry in a hurry" deal from their website as an affordable midweek treat for the wife and I but it went up from $35 to $53 after they revealed the minimum $45 spend and a $5 delivery fee on top of that (not on their website). I thought I was doing the right thing by going direct but you're better off using a 3rd party app if you want delivery under $50. The jeezy duck curry though earns them an extra star.

Indian cuisine with a twist. Very well done ambience, and the food presentation is a test for the eyes, especially who grew up on general Indian restaurant food and MasterChef evenings. Just slightly more expensive (think 35$ per head, s opposed to 25$in a regular Indian restaurant), but that is money well spent. The owner/ hosts were warm, and made the evening very pleasant.
