Good size meals on the $17 menu. Great choice of dishes. I had rump steak. It came with the best chips I've ever had, onion rings, mushrooms & salad, & just $2 extra for mushrooms gravy. All very well presented & delivered in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this place for your next dinner out.

Monday night’s trivia is fun, good venue, and friendly staff. I have yet to eat a meal there which I have enjoyed, though. Their steaks are microwaved, and Woolworth’s pre-packed potato salad is nicer than the golf club’s gnocchi. Their cheese-garlic pizza isn’t bad, though.

It was my first time going to the Gungahlin Lakes Golf course to hit 100+ golf balls. I went into the pro shop and met Rick,a really nice chatty person. I told him that I'm really no confident with my woods. He offered me some really good advice and tips. I tried his tips on the driving range and got great results with the woods. So friendly, with helpful advice. I want to return soon!

One of Canberra's newer courses, well worth experiencing. As the name suggests, lots of water making it a challenge for all handicaps. Modern huge clubhouse too with fast efficient service. Had a fresh sandwich from the cafe upstairs which was fantastic.

Thank you for the excellent service. We were here for a wake, and there are normally issues for my brother as he is vegan. However one mention to the staff if there was more food available, and straight away more came out. Also, it was delicious, which is not always the case for vegan food.

First time playing golf here and was impressed with the quality of the course. However, thoroughly disappointed that spending $50pp playing golf (with a cart) doesn't get you guest membership into the club for the day during lunch time for a meal or drink. They still require a member to sign you in if you live local. Doesn't feel very welcoming or appreciative of your custom.

Thursday evening I attended the club for dinner, after ordering chicken Snitzel parmigiana and a pasta we also ordered garlic bread. The meals were a good size however the snitzel was a little over cooked but okay in the middle. Were I was totally disappointed was to be charged $6 for 3 pieces of garlic bread if you can call it that. I don't no why the club kitchen is second rate. If the Ainslie club can give very good food why can't Gunghalin do the same? If your charging well for your meals make sure the quality is up there to match. Just remember there are two other clubs in the area.

This actually not a bad club. I'm not much of a club person myself and thus is the club of choice for the in-laws. The food is pretty good and includes classics like chicken parmigiana, burgers, pizza and pasta. It has a nice atmosphere and great views over the golf course.

Visited the Gungahlin Lakes Club Restaurant as a family last night. All the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. They were even patient with us about the three of us who have food allergies and intolerances. The atmosphere was nice, wasn’t too noisy and is family friendly. The view of the lake and golf course was a bonus. The food was reasonably priced and generously sized. It came out quickly (the pizza was lightning fast) and we all enjoyed our meals, including my young son who enjoyed the grilled barramundi and roast veggies. A real stand out is the staff member who went out of his way to make sure my son’s allergies were taken seriously and he went above and beyond to ensure the food would be cooked safely. Much appreciated that he arranged for sorbet so my son wasn’t disappointed and had dessert. Thank you! We would return and highly recommend it.

I hosted a Birthday Party in The Gungahlin Lakes Golf & Community Club’s Main Function Room recently, and it was a great experience. From the moment I sent my first online inquiry, their attitude was wonderful. Sales & Events Manager Leanne was willing to show me available rooms at short notice, even though I could tell they were very busy with bookings. The room I wanted was unavailable, but it became available & she offered it to me. I arrived to set up earlier than agreed, and Leanne let me in even though she hadn’t finished packing down the previous event. A bar staff member named Steve fetched us a balloon inflator & even helped us blow balloons himself, and his blonde female colleague was attentive & friendly throughout the evening. All our needs were met with positivity and accommodation. The Banquet Menu meals were so good, my guests remarked on them. We even received an extra meal for a guest that I hadn’t included in my final numbers, without ever asking for one. It was on the house, and I was really touched by this. Steve even helped us deflate balloons & clear decorations at the end of the night. I’m really impressed and grateful for the way The Gungahlin Lakes looked after us, and I would very much recommend them. Candie

Good local club. The bistro specials are great for families, especially with the kids play area right there. Monday nights kids eat free (1 free kids meal per adult meal purchased) and Tuesday nights is $10 pizzas (good, big pizzas which are normally $20+). Great for a not too expensive meal out with the family and nice and child friendly

If you want to watch sport on a MASSIVE screen this is the place to go. The dining area is lovely with big glass panels that allow you to look out onto the golf course. The food was nice, and you get a decent discount if you're a member. Plenty of parking.

A good feed overlooking the water and course. A play room for young kids and a video games room for the older kids. Definitely worth the $5 membership as you'll get that money back very quickly with members prices. On the day we went they had $6 members beers or $8.70 for non members. Unfortunately in the restaurant the portions are getting smaller, the prices are getting more expensive and the selection is limited. For some reason the club is now pricing food at full restaurant prices when there is not the service or meals to support it. People want club meals at club prices and vote with their feet. Went for lunch on a Saturday and with very few people in the restaurant it still took more than 20 minutes for the meal to appear. I won't be going back on a weekend as there are $12 lunch specials Mon to Fri.

We hosted our daughter Wedding Reception here. Increadably lovely Staff, the four course dinner menu not only looked elegant but tasted wonderful. The room looked lovely thanks to our decorator with games out on the private lawn. A wonderful night had by all, with music till 11pm. My partner and I live a suburb over from this club, so it's our local club to go to. They have 3 unique features that make this place a real winner. 1. They have a semi-seperate burger/pizza Bar inside the club. This makes some damn good pizzas! They're not cheap though at ~$18. However on Tuesday all pizzas are $10!! Buy two and you've got a week of food! 2. Local brews - this place rotates through a good choice of beers, and often serves at least one locally brewed beer (Bentspoke, Capital, Pact) 3. If you've got kids, they have a quant little kids section with TVs playing popular kids movies, and large soft shapes for sitting on and climbing.

We went in expecting food and drink prices to be around typical RSL prices but a light meal was $21 (members price - $23 for non members), a burger was over $20 from memory and a single salad was $18 (members price). I ordered an Asahi and that was over $12! Turned to my partner and had to say "I remember when..." Made me feel like I was way older than I actually am. For those prices I could be eating in Braddon and not in a dining hall listening to someone reading out raffle ticket numbers.

Gungahlin Lakes Club is home to the golf club of the same name and sits on the GungahlinPond and lake system that forms part of Ginninderra creek. The course offers greats views over the waterways and is reasonably priced. There are a number of restaurants and dining opportunities available including full a la carte, bistro, cafe and bar facilities.The club also offers function facilities. Good club.
