Comments of Ka Sushi Ramen
L.
Delicious food and convenient location. I love the beef rice set 😋
T. Z.
Not bad overall but you know that’s not Japanese ramen don’t you.
A.
The food was delicious and fresh. They gave me a small cup with miso soup and fried tofu on the side of my katsu curry. Prices are average. The place is neat and clean. Service was kind and polite. They don't have good drinks to pick from but menu is large having all Japanese classics.
T. A.
BIG serving sizes, affordable, and delicious, perfect for a Uni Student. Staff was friendly, and menu had heaps to choose from. New favourite ramen spot!
R. H.
Rate this place has great service with even better tasting food legit tummy love afterwards slaps hard as
Z. D.
Is a great place for a simple meal always nice services friendly staff. Good value
S.
The calamari rings are very good quality and the deep fried pork ramen is delicious
A. W.
The food is fantastic. So many options to choose from makes you look at the menu over and over just to decide. The Bento Box are amazing value! Great food, amazing prices and the staff are really friendly! One of my favourite places to dine.
J. W.
Quite good food, good portion, good prices. However a bit inflexible with combos, not very balanced meals. Japanese katsu dish has lots of curry sauce, a few carrots , pork schnitzel and rice, but not a single bit of greens.
J. K.
Had miso soup, salmon nigiri, and prawn stir fry udon and all dishes were beautiful. Salmon was super fresh and the best miso soup I’ve ever had. The udon dish was amazing with the prawns. Staff were friendly, the vibe and mood lighting in the restaurant is great. No complaints at all
R. R.
Such a great restaurant. Best ramen I've had in Canberra hands down. Full flavour broth, tender pork belly. Good toppings. Can't ask for much more!
S.
Its delicious and everything is so big. Its not expensive about 15-20 $. I love the restaurant.
J. P.
Great for ramen. Really enjoyed it on a cold winter Canberra night. Quick service and reasonable prices.
E. W.
Chinese-Japanese food. The fish is not bad (probably good for Canberra, it's better than most) but can be random in quality. The Sashimi nigiri is not made well.
The ramen had flavour was an okay serving. I would go back again.
M. S.
These guys know ramen. Staff are super friendly and very helpful with any questions regarding the menu.
Less than 10 minute wait time for food to arrive at your table. Was incredibly fresh, and the tempura was hot and crispy. Will definitely be visiting these guys again. Maybe the best ramen in Canberra.
Thanks guys :)
I. A.
Amazing curry. 🍛
Amazing ramen 🍲
Amazing takoyaki 🐙
Service was lovely
Definitely recommend and definitely going back
C. B.
Great Jspanese restaurant near University zone.
Good selection of dishes with picture menus.
Reasonably priced, cafe style. Long bench seats. Limited table service, order at counter and they bring food to table on trays.
Food is delicious and consistent.
B. J.
This was my first visit to Sushi Ramen. It's located beside the Australian National University and a lot of Ramen's business are ANU students.
The food is fresh, tasty, hot, and quickly served. And there's a SPAR bottle shop around the corner if you'd like a beer or wine with your meal.
Prices for a main are around $18.and head back there soon.
D. T.
Service is good and toppings is generous but the noodle itself lack freshness . Price from $14+
A. P.
Really enjoyed our meal here with our 2 kids under 5. Basic but comfortable decor. Plenty of options for kids. BYO with a bws nearby which sells sake. Probably about a 4.5 as the food wasn't amazing, but definitely better than its current Google rating of 3.8.
R. S.
Great atmosphere and good food. Affordable and a good selection on the menu. Can get a bit loud when it gets busy. Definitely will come back.
B. H.
I would call this a heavily Japanese inspired Asian restaurant. They've got ramen, donburi, sushi and other Japanese food. Very generous portions and good looking dishes but not thing mind blowing taste wise. I had the pork belly ramen and my friend had the omelette rice with chicken. The ramen didnt really taste like traditional Japanese ramen but more like an Asian noodle soup.
R. S.
Their fried rice was okay. Their sushi was also acceptable. Their hot pot and ramen, however, were below par and I don't believe that their ramen broth was cooked long enough (their ad claims 12 hours).
W. T.
Love this place Korean Japanese fusion. Had the BBQ pork with ginger sauce set, beautiful flavours and great staff. Yum
B. W.
It's more 3.5 stars, but I rounded down
What I had was the spicy mince and pork ramen for $14.50. The mince was ok, a bit grainy. Pork slices weren't the typical round ones, so seems smaller, and there wasn't a lot of it, though it was tender. The noodles were nice, and the soup was great and not heavy.
Overall, decent for the pricing
I also had the chicken kaarage. They have a $20 EFTPOS limit, so I added that on for $7.70
The chicken was juicy and tasty when hot, though they weren't very thick pieces, and the batter was a bit thick. The Mayo was good though.
Setting was very casual. Tables are linked in long rows, is well lit and quite big. It's well set out for larger groups to come in. Perhaps as a feed before heading out for the night to party
N.
The food here is good value and the sashimi is actually very good by Canberra standards. Cant say I'm a fan of the Ramen though.
L. m.
Good affordable food. Friendly service.
S. H.
Tammy Japanese curry Katsu Don

Cheap and cheerful as befits an eatery close to a university. It's a little off the beaten track for me usually, but I've tried it twice now as it's a personal fave of one of my buddies. I've had the chicken katsu and it's been served piping hot fresh from the fryer. The sauces are served over lettuce so you can have as much or as little as you like. Ramen is another big winner here, and both my DC's raved about their choices. We split a karage chicken between us and again, served piping hot and fresh.
K. D.
I am very particular about my Japanese food, it's one of my favourite cuisines. I had the char siu ramen in tonkotsu broth, and it was perfectly serviceable. The servings are generous, and reasonably flavourful. The takoyaki was very good, will definitely order that again. The decor is lovely, with a clean uncluttered look and feel. I still prefer Tasuke overall, but Ka Sushi Ramen is a good spot close to ANU and definitely worth trying.

This is one of the best in Australia. They're quick, clean, consistent and always professional
P. D.
Service was quick and good and reasonable priced. Main food tasty but the rice was a bit of a let down, dry.
T. Y.
I liked the unagi don. Would give 4 stars but the staff were really nice
C. B.
Well it was good. Fresh and simple would go back there again. The portion size was also great.
A. I.
Good service and great interior with long bench seating. The dishes are superb, especially the sushi. It's hard to order something bad here. Lunchtime is more fun with j- and k-pop music playing on the video displays.
V. L.
Nice a accessible place. One of the few Japanese restaurants in the area. The range varies from ramen to udon to sushi and sashimi, with some sides as well (such as karaage, takoyaki, etc). The last yaki udon was not as expected, but I'll consider it an exception, just a bad day.
P. F.
A staple dinner spot for my friends and I in Civic. The ramen here is fantastic, I would recommend the fried chicken ramen from back before I became vegetarian. Nowadays I go for the vegetarian sweet tofu ramen option, it's not quite at the same level as my memory of the fried chicken ramen, but I enjoy it regardless.
D. B.
I had the eel which was quite rubbery. The food here definitely doesn't seem to be anything special. On the plus side the service was quite fast so if I'm looking for a quick place to eat on Friday night, I'd go here again.
A. C.
One of my favourite places to get a big bowl of ramen. Prices are reasonable and service is quick.
I recommend the spicey pork ramen or the katsu set with a side of agashi tofu and some miso soup.
T. H.
Excellent Japanese food at a great price. Can't wait to try more items on the menu. We will be back
J. O.
Good quality ramen noodle soups for a reasonable price. Rarely busy and takeaway is generally quite fast. Many different varieties so lots to try.
E. S.
They have good ramen at reasonable prices. The service was quick and polite.
If you want good ramen without having to spend a lot of money, come here.
C. M.
Good food for the price. Drinks are cheap.
S. A.
Great food! Best price! Lovely staff!
B. U. (.
The delicious and affordable Japanese Ramen in Canberra. Comes with different varieties. Not Japanese authentic. But still nice
P. E.
Good sashimi, good tofu but the "salad" was an unispring bowl of lettuce with a few small pieces of tomato and cucumber - I would have liked some avo, pieces of apple, chopped nuts, some orange for a real rainbow salad!
D. P.
Tasty ramen and a nice vibe, I had the spicy mince and it was really good.
Prices were not bad either, would recommend a visit.
L. C.
Really enjoyed my meal, had the pork belly ramen. Fuss free service and reasonable prices.
C. v. P.
Fast service and fantastic ramen
Highly recommend for a reasonably priced satisfying feed
T. A.
Super quick and well priced for the portions. Tons of options and very friendly staff!
S. G.
I've been going there since it opened and it is the best Japanese food in Canberra and at an excellent price. I love taking new people so I can share the awesomeness!
B. T.
An okay ramen shop. Not the best, but it is not the worst I have tasted. The service is great at least.
G. L.
Quick to serve.. value for money... The taste of the ramen broth can be stronger...
B. n.
The food there is amazing!

I have been coming to Ka Sushi Ramen for years. It is my favourite Japanese place in Canberra. The Agedashi Tofu is to die for.
S. R.
Great friendly atmosphere but the menu is a little limited. The meals served to us where of decent size and good quality.
A. S.
It is a decent cheap ramen place. I've never had a bad feed here. Full of uni students.
A. S.
Always love it here. Value for money is excellent!! Awesome for family, friends or a date night.
J. F.
Friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. It can be a little noisy at times. The staff were very accommodating to our dietary requirements.

R. W.

S. P.
A staple for yummy Japanese food. The salmon is a favourite and always so fresh. Wonderful service!!
m. l.
Miso soup was nice. Everything else was average. Staffs outside were really friendly
R. G.
Great soup and don, reasonable price but $20 minimum eftpos and 1.5% surcharge is a bit rich, cmon people it's 2018
A. Z.
Pretty good ramen and karage, quick service, would have liked to see pan-fried gyoza on theenu though.
M. B.
Delicious udon and ramen. Nice big picture menus make it easy to help select a tasty option.
M. T.
Our family's absolute favourite! Great service, great food, great price!
E. S.
The ramen is a perfect warming lunch for winter. Straightforward meals with lovely flavours 👌
L. M.
All the food is amazing and staff are always super polite. Perfect place for a nice meal out.
T. B.
Nice food but it's in decline. Always busy because it's close to the university.
The eftpos minimum is a bit of a pain
C. V. R.
Family favourite! Staff so lovely and food always fresh, authentic and delicious.
T.
