Good prices, I over-ordered thinking portions would be on the small side. I was wrong 😂 Tip, if you’re a chilli-fiend, ask up front. I ordered kimchi fried rice and had to add bimbibap sauce to make it spicy. On the other hand, I asked for the chilli chicken to be hot and I got it 🥵😁

Coming at 6p.m on a Wednesday night and we had the best Korean food ever, side dishes are on the small portions but the meat’s very fresh and it had a delicious charcoal after taste flavor. Especially the salt and pepper squid entree is a must try. The beef soup is full of flavour, tender beef and soft glass noodles are chewy.Recommended!

KorBQ is an ok place for kbbq. It’s a bit expensive for what you get and not as good as the ones in Dickson, but it does the job. I tried one of their set banquets and the food was pretty decent. It could do with some better ventilation/fans and more staff though.

Was in Canberra for a work conference and went to this restaurant with a colleague and had a wonderful mean. The restaurant was spacious and very pleasant. Staff were helpful and kind. The restaurant was lovely, lively and staff friendly and accommodating. We received fast table service despite arriving 20 minutes early for our booking. Definitely recommended it if you're after some Korean BBQ! :)

We celebrated my wife's birthday at KorBq in Civic. We absolutely enjoyed each of the 3 entrees and 2 mains. The service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant was almost full. The food was prepared quickly and was delicious. The complimentary spicy kimchi and sweet onion was a nice bonus. 5/5 and we'll definitely be back soon. Great value for money in our opinion.

Have been to KorBQ many times over the past few years. The food is generally cooked well and full of flavour. The bbq is nice with a variety of options, although a little expensive but nothing too crazy. The venue has a nice dimly light vibe akin to that of bar (which they do have one), and service is not bad. I would say the fried chicken is a little different in taste (seems to be an odd bitter after taste) and not as a good as other places in the area. If you have an entertainment book coupon it’s a good deal!

Nice place good staple korean foshes a bit bland and not all you can eat. The type of place you want to take a date to or have a chat with friends without having to worry too much about the food. Also is in dire need of more sauces. Otherwise pretty pleasant. Prices are average. Worth a casual visit or good for largish groups due to table setups.

Looks to be a decent Korean BBQ, unfortunately we weren't able to try as all the tables were booked. There for over an hour and people only started arriving for the 'bookings' as we left. Al a carte menu was good, reasonable servings and delicious spicy korean chicken, best I've tried since coming to Canberra. Washed down well with an Asahi Black. However some of the dishes are overprice compared to similar elsewhere and unsure why an army hotpot is almost 50$. Most major cities sell for around 28-40$ for a larger serving. Will be back to try the BBQ... if we can get a table.

This was my first Korean BBQ experience in Canberra. The food was good but not the best Korean I’ve had. The service was also a little slow and the wait staff confused our order - they brought out a miso soup with beef despite having mentioned a couple of times that we dont eat beef and are after the vegetarian version. They rectified the mistake by bringing out the correct soup but the waitstaff didn’t seem too pleased which made things uncomfortable. A little dissapointed also that they give the complimentary traditional side dishes such as lettuce/garlic etc that most places do. Overall, an okay experience.

Great relaxing atmosphere with its industrial feel. The restaurant is not air conditioned so can get hot with the BBQs but has a good ventilation system. The quality of meat is average but was well marinated/seasoned. Main dishes were very tasty and enjoyable. Prices were OK and the menu had a good variety.

We really enjoyed our food. The BBQ meat selection was really tasty and very we presented. Would have been 5 star, but they lost our table reservation, we were lucky another group didn't use all the table space they booked. Then some of our order didn't get put into their system, so we had to ask after the Fried Chicken dish twice. Also a fail with beers - wait staff didn't know that my first two selections were out of stock. Anyhow we loved the food and that's the most important thing to us.

This place is really worth the penny. From booking a reservation online (efficient and fast) to the hospitality of the staff it’s 5 stars. This joint has some interested menus, we tried the Ox Soup and the Kimchi fried rice with Seafood pancake as sides. The food was really good, generous serving but a bit on the pricey side. Will try the BBQ next time. Facilities and decor quite impressive.

I've been going here for years and the food and customer service is always spectacular. Love the crunchy octopus, the soy chicken, the black bean noodles and the pork bone and ox bone soup. Great location too and beautiful interior. Fantastic for intimate or group outings and love the sides of kimchi!

You can tell the meat at this restaurant is high quality. The customer service is also quite good compared to other KBBQ in Canberra. My only gripe is that management made the decision to not provide free side dishes with the meat. All other KBBQ restaurants provide at least 4 free side dishes.

Fantastic food. We had the "4 person after work special" and with 4 big eaters there were still leftovers at the end of lunch. Lots of choice and great environment for Korean BBQ! We thought the price tag was large ($130) but the amount and quality of food made it great value for money. They said they had seats for us but only if we didnt eat the bbq which was alright since we were hungry. They were very apologetic and were understaffed. Exceptional. The wait and kitchen staff went above and beyond to cater to our allergy requirements. They ensured all meals/ingredients were triple checked to avoid certain foods and cooking oils were replaced. Credit went to the chef who created an entree specific to our needs without being asked to and without any additional charge. We felt very comfortable eating here given the effort the staff had gone to. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautifully designed Korean restaurant, with the option of having BBQ as well. Although BBQ tables are limited, restaurant staff work hard to make sure these tables are cleaned down and ready for the next people as soon as possible. Ordered off the regular menu tonight and wasn’t disappointed. Price point is affordable for quality Korean food as well. Will be back again when visiting Canberra.

My partner and I both had dinner here and we really enjoyed it. The chilli chicken was amazing, the staff were incredibly friendly and it wasn't overpriced, relative to other restaurant in the area. My only advice I would give to potential patrons (especially if you're 6ft and over) is to ask for a dinner table and not the tables that are up higher on the stools, I had to sit across which wasn't an issue but next time I'll ask for a proper table seat. Highly recommended!

Staff were friendly, food was just ok. Smallest amount of kimchi( table spoon worth) was given to us, i ask 3 times if i could please get more since there were 4 of us repeatedly but to no avail. We ordered a spicy seafood food and there was one mussle in the soup but overflowed with tofu. Cocktails was mediocre and hot plate was no where near hot enough to cook our meat. Our food was stewing on there, even our corn and cheese did not melt. I've posted pictures of our side dish size and the spicy seafood soup to refer to. Overall good for large groups, very spaces but patients is key at this place.

Beautifully presented and prepared food that are also super delicious! They really do taste as good as they look in the photos on their website. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. We ordered the Bonito Seafood Pancake, Crunchy Octopus, Green Beans Salad, Original Fried Chicken, Creamy Fried Chicken and Hotpot Bibimbap. They were very all very different and tasty. I would recommend any of them! I find the fried chicken were better than Chez Kimchi's. My friends and I booked our table for dinner via first table with 50% off. We all concluded post dinner that we would pay full price for our food. I very much plan to visit again and try out their Korean BBQ! If you're visiting for the first time, the restaurant is behind these glass doors up a few flight of stairs, next to a flashing/slightly trashy looking neon sign. The inside is much more classier and well presented.

My wife took me out for a surprise lunch here and it was the BEST Korean meal I've had in Canberra. I was a huge fan of the previous business in this location so I was initially hesitant of dining, but this reservation was quickly removed as the lay out, menu and food were presented. I have huge problems with Korean restaurants over pricing their meals, especially BBQ. THIS IS NOT THE CASE HERE! Prices are extremely reasonable and the BBQ portion for dinner, the prices are fantastic. Not to mention how tasty all our meals were! We will definitely be returning for a dinner with friends as soon as we can. Get in quick before EVERYONE finds out about this new gem!

Not usually a fan of Korean BBQ but this place has some really nice food and is nicely set out. The staff are excellent too. We had a group of 20 including about 6+ kids and they catered for us great as well as for other customers. Only complaint was no Cass beer available.

We booked online and then had someone call us to confirm if we wanted the BBQ menu or the normal menu as it changed what table we would have. Then when we arrived the host advised that we had no booking and that they weren't taking anymore online bookings. I thought this was ridiculous and that their online system should reflect their actual availability and why would someone call to confirm? They did not seem to want to give us a table and told us that they were fully booked. Anyhow they eventually gave us an awkward table when there was still many tables open. The food was good but they need to update their booking system.

The food was excellent. It was amazing KBBQ! But I found the staff to be a bit condescending. Just cos we arn't Asian they kept asking us if we needed help with the menu or did we need to have it explained, or just giving lengthy speeches about what to do or what this side dish was and how you eat it. Also they said "Don't worry nothing's spicy", we like spicy food and hot dishes. 1 staff member even crouched down at the table, as if we were children. All in all the food was good, and yes the service (if condescending) was also good. After we were finished the server asked if we'd had Korean food before. Yes, many times when I was in Korea! I did not enjoy being talked down to because of my race.

Awesome Korean BBQ joint in the heart of Canberra. I highly recommend ordering the bulgolgi, and your desired bbq items to match (I had the beef tenderloin- tender and delicious) It's the best bulgolgi I've tasted outside of Seoul. Staff are friendly and helpful. If your a beer fan like this tim with two m's I recommend the 'max' beer on tap. Give it a go!

What's not to love? The vibe is awesome, there was a good crowd on a Thursday night but not too noisy or crowded. The fitout is really cool. We didn't do the bbq but it looks like a lot of fun and the minimalist design of the hot plates and extraction is very impressive. On to the food - couldn't fault a thing. We had the bonito seafood pancake, the hot bibimbap and the spicy pork bulgogi. All were delicious and the kimchi and picked onions were sensational.
