On a Tuesday night the restaurant was packed with people which was a perfect first impression. The food was good and the wait staff was a gentleman. The owner worked really hard to keep getting food out to the tables. Food was good and the business needs to be supported by the local community specially post covid. The restaurant could use brighter tone of light in the dining hall. Pleasant experience.

It is very very rare that any resturant meets my high standard for biryani. This resturant is the only one in Canberra so far to actually give me biryani when I order it and not polau! The nihari is amazing as is the naan. Great food. Great customer service.

I love Lahori Gate - I've had a couple of terrific dinners here in the past, and today picked up the new 'lunch special' - two curries, rice and naan - which was excellent and extremely affordable. There's a terrific variety of dishes on the menu, and the restaurant is always running buffets and other deals which give you a chance to try the full range. Highly recommended.

Went to Lahori Gate tonight with my family and friends. The food and drinks we had were very tasty and enjoyable - especially the samosa chaat and chicken biryani, they were absolutely amazing. Authentic, delicious food. The chicken biriyani and garlic naan is what will keep bringing me back here. This is the first restaurant I have ever been to that sells real biriyani. Prices are very reasonable too. Definitely worth the drive out to Weetangera.

Just moved from Sydney and this has been our go to place for authentic Pakistani cuisine. From tikkas to their Karahis, everything is up to the mark. My goodness...Mind blowing REAL Pakistani Briyani wilth Koyla flavour..felt like am in lahore...and the sweets are mouth watering and fresh...TBH Better than any indian restys in canby..HIDDEN GEM....Will drive 1 hr back n forth just for ur briyani unless you change the quality ..The goat briyani is so yummm..its kacha gosth briyani like how we see in youtube food channels..Most briyanis in canby or in general are mixed with shaan masala or similar masala which might have chemicals...this guy is trust worthy....my tongue and tummy both loved it and still safe...Will support you mate....

Perhaps one of the best places in Canberra to experience authentic Pakistani cuisine in a lovely setting away from the usual town hustle in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff are real friendly and amazing and they know how to actually take care of the customers. Food is finger biting delicious and the Chicken Karahi and Chicken Biryani, specifically are a highlight for anyone who loves food. All in all a definite 5 star, and I have brought a lot of my friends over to this place, Aussies and non-Aussies alike, and they have absolutely loved it. Thanks for all the good food!

If you want authentic curries this is the place to go. Each dish we ordered was flavoursome and delicious. Many restaurants have the same curry base for their dishes, not Lahori Gate. Each curry had a distinctive taste. I’m looking forward to going back. The ambience was average but it doesn’t matter when the food is 11/10.

OMG! Best nihari, biryani and naan we ever tasted. We are from Sydney so we have been to a lot of desi restaurant but the food at Lahori Gate Restaurant was something else. So delicious and fresh! On top of that, we got there 20mins before closing but the owner was more than welcoming and super friendly.

Best, authentic and most delicious breakfast on a Sunday morning I ever had... while on our way from Perisher to Sydney, during our stopover in the capital for brekky, we were lucky to have secured a table otherwise the place is fully booked. And even luckier that they were open on that Sunday (back in 2017 they only served buffet breakfast on alternate Sundays, not sure if still that’s the case). All in all, best place in whole Australia for an authentic Pakistani breakfast.

My personal favourite from this place is Charcoaled Dum Chicken Biryani or simply called it Degi Chicken Biryani 😍😋 which you can only order in the catering... I bet you will thanks me later. Do try it... Plus they do have some Biryani options when you walk in like Sindhi Biryani etc Another dish I really crave from this place is Brain Masala or you call it Bheja masala❤️ This place is one of the best places in Canberra to try this dish👌 Inframe after Beja Masala is Haleem.. along with Kulcha (type of bread), Garlic Naan and Chicken stuffed paratha. Authentic Pakistani food. We had Alu Qeema , Biryani , Roti and Paratha . Food was as original as it gets. These dishes weren’t localised which was pleasing:-) . The dessert Gajjar Ka Halwa was perfect, which can often be made too sugary by amateurs chefs. Casal dining outlet with wonderful host who can talk about (Pakistani)food at length with passion. We were expecting something authentic and truly amazing Pakistani cuisine and obviously we were not disappointed at all. We ordered Niharee, Chicken Korhai & Lamb Vindaloo along with Plain naans and Aloo Naan . Naans were freshly backed and all the curries were freshly cooked upon order. There was a touch of homely touch with all items. We really enjoyed a lot. Curries were not overpowered with spices and cooked with perfection. The interior decoration reflects the rich history of Indo - Pakistan, service was good and we were amazed when the owner came towards us to take order and to ask about the food couple of times. This place is a hidden gem and a restaurant to come back. I recommend if someone is looking for true Pakistani cuisine without a big price tag .

Weekend brunch buffet is terrific ! Each dish on the buffet are distinctly different from each other ; with all the classic items we know and love made with an authentic home-made style taste and freshness. The interior is so beautiful I can easily see myself coming here with large groups of friends and family for celebrating special occasions. And the entire experience from start to finish is made sweeter by the amazing hospitality of Hurab Bhai. He is so friendly and warm with all his diners that sometimes it’s hard to tell if they’re actually customers or his own family :) Definitely coming here again to try the other items on the menu. Lahori Gate Restaurant in Weetangera ACT the best Pakistani restaurant has Such fancy food! I love Pakistani food, and I've eaten alot of it over my lifetime. I was impressed with the way this restaurant has changed up Pakistani food to another level. You have to try it to understand. Address: 1/4 Weetangera Pl, Weetangera ACT 2614 Good Food, Nice Facilities, but GREAT STAFF! After eating at this restaurant 3-4 times, the thing my wife and I have commented on the most is the Staff...we have gotten quick and excellent service not only at the register but the staff is constantly checking on the tables to make sure everything is to your liking. Don't get me wrong, we enjoy the food (especially the pilau and karhai ghost) and the restaurant is bright, airy and spotlessly clean. It is definitely the best of the Captain D's we have eaten at for food and for the facility. But so far, the Staff is the most outstanding feature for us regardless of what restaurant one is talking about!
