I thought the Nepalese stir fried noodles and fried rice aren't too bad at this venue. I think that is their speciality. I didn't bother trying their other menu items so not sure what they are like. Worth trying and there are plenty of seats available. Regards @fooderarri

Breakfast catch up with a colleague. We visited early at about 9am on a Saturday morning. We were the 1st customers. The restro had nice comfy seats and cheery decor. The waitress who served was very friendly and attentive. Eggs Benny was good and my big cup of hot chocolate and my colleague 's turmeric latte were great. We sat by the window and enjoyed the Foreshore view. Overall a nice quiet place for a relaxing peaceful breakfast. They serve Nepalese food for lunch and dinner which we plan to try in future.

Absolutely delicious momo at this cafe! Very authentic Nepali food that got me nostalgic. Great view of the lake definitely added 1 more star. Loved the Friendly and informative staff. They gave us good advice as direction to go around Canberra as well. A must go to restaurant . Highly recommended.

Friendly service, beautiful location, quality coffee and tasty food. We had the vegan brekky and it was delicious, but unfortunately it was the only vegan option in the menu. However, this was the only restaurant on the share to have a vegan option, which is baffling. I'd be happy to come back to try other vegan options if there were any, so keep us fussy eaters in mind the next time you rethink the menu ;).

Ordered a few items today. Chicken soup was good. Chicken schnitzel was ok. But fish in fish and chips was a big let down. Fish was very dry and smelled a bit off, so left as it is. Informed the lady at the front as feedback. Service was good. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Big Breakfast was amazing for brunch, both my fiancé and I were really impressed. We asked for no baked beans and the chef gave us a waffle as a substitute, was such a lovely touch. Staff were really friendly and meals came out quick. We will certainly be back :)

Absolutely love this place! The great view and location are major bonuses, plus the very spacious interior and outdoor seating. But the best part was the food - yes there's the typical Cafe food, burgers and the like, but the star of the show is the Nepali food. Delightfully delish momos, Chow Mein noodles and chilli chicken. But my favourite was the fried rice - perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and so smoky! It shows the attention to detail by the chefs. I will definitely be coming back to this place again!

Good but not great sadly. The pro's: a lovely view, nice atmosphere in the front courtyard, quick and pleasant service. The cons: unfortunately some of the meals were a bit of a let down, the smashed avo with prosciutto was underwhelming and served with ham (frustrating) and the poached eggs were quite tough. The breakfast roll was great though and the coffee was good. Good but not great, there are other options around I'd go to first.

It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go again. Take away? For sure! To start off with, the atmosphere wasn't very.. good but the socially distant tables could contribute to that.The decor is a bit out dated. The coffee was lovely, the staff were friendly and tables were socially distant. The menu had a large, good variety of food but was having a bit of an identity crisis to the type of food it serves, I guess its a good place to go for for the family who can't decide on what they want to eat!

Awesome food served in beautiful place. Staff are experienced and owner is friendly. Spacious sitting. Enjoyed walking around lakeside after. Definitely will visit again😊

I visited lakeside Restro on my 28th birthday on 19th August 2020 with my friends and family. It was an amazing experience from food to service. We ordered buffalo wings, chicken 19 , lamb shanks and others. The meat served were super succulent and zinging with spices. The taste of food and blend of spices were divine. My personal favourite was chicken 19. 10/10 on ambience , music and service. The staffs were very friendly and the environment was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this place for people looking for good food and wonderful environment. I will be visiting them soon again.
