Comments of PappaRich Canberra

PappaRich is a casual Malaysian restaurant located in the center of Canberra between Bunda street and Cooyong street. Popular restaurant that was fairly full on a Monday night. The service was friendly and extremely quick. The food was presented well but I thought it was just ok, a little bland. The dining area is one large room with lots of tables so it gets really loud.
F.
Really good experience. Ordered and had my drink within 3 minutes and food within 5 mins. Food was excellent for a fast Casual eatery. $22 for a main and a fresh watermelon juice. Highly recommend this if you want a quick casual meal in Canberra.

A great place to go when you’re having a late lunch. Went around 2:30pm and everything was still available. One of the best places for Kang kung - lots of wok hey and never disappoints! Because it was a rainy day, decided to have their laksa for the first time… you definitely get your money’s worth, $15.90 for a large bowl of laksa!!! We also had the Hainan toast with condensed milk and the kaya and butter toast, super satisfying as a dessert!
J. D.
PappaRich excels at their chosen style of food - quick, well-priced, and tasty Malaysian food. The menu is expansive and I love all the beverage options. The restaurant is bustling with noise and the ordering beep going off but it adds to the atmosphere. I feel like I’m in Asia whenever I dine here.
S. V.
Just as expected, super quick service and delicious food. Always a great place to grab a quick feed!
S. P.
Food was amazing. All the items were very tasty. Great for people with Asian tastebud. Customer service was good.
A. C.
Good place and food if you want to have a generous amount of food in one plate yet cheap for your meal. Helpful staff. Might have a choice to order one piece of fried chicken in the menu so I could have it with the curry, but no bother at all!

Reviewed on 15/9/21
Supported takeaway due to extension of lockdown. Takeway was really bland for a chew kar teow without any seasoning. As such reduced rating from my prior visits in store.
S. T.
I go here every fortnight at least once and I love the food the service is fast and friendly. I would recommend this place for a nice family dinner.
J. L.
Mostly I like their food.. i have been there for many time, but still couldn't remember the name😄
All that I always order was the noodle, Hainanese Chicken, Roti (c7 or N7).
The service 👌
But for me personally I don't like their fried chicken, it's big but plain, tasteless..😔
Fyi, every time I go there they don't have chicken skin...
But once they have it, it's came with the dark color Chicken Skin and hard not crunchy. Seems like it's fried for the second times or fried too long.
H. R.
Their food is a little on the expensive side, with just your average but nice laksas and their overpriced rice dishes compared to the portions they give you. However, their drink, Teh Tarik iced milk tea is an absolute go-to if you'd like to be refreshed and showered with freshness. This milk tea is even better than your average cha time.
B. L.
The food here is tasty and well priced in typical Pappa Rich fashion but I found that duck was butchered without any strategy. Many pieces were still connected to each other, being partially chopped, and there are pieces where almost 90% was bone. The outcome of that was a messy presentation.
P. L.
Tasty Malaysian food with variety of options. Desserts and drinks are yummy too.
It's usually busy but worth the little wait or come outside of rush hour. When it's busy 4 people are seated around a small square table which can feel cramped.
The ordering system by writing dish numbers on a card then ring the bell works well. Food is served not too long after order has been confirmed by a staff member. Reasonable prices and friendly staff who provides efficient service.
Car park available in the shopping centre.

Just randomly called into this place today for lunch. OMG! What a wonderful, quaint experience. Once you've looked through the menu to order your food this is what you do....
On your table you'll find a little pad of "order chits" and a pencil. Simply write the number of the dish you want and the quantity, tear it off the pad, place it in the little box on the table and push the buzzer located on the side of the box. Within seconds, one of the staff will come and scoop your order out of the box and before you know it, it's in front of you. I mean, the service was second to none and faultless.
I particularly liked the way they had pictures of drinks recommended to compliment each dish. A very clever idea which I chose to try, and thank god I did as it was just as delicious as the seafood Laksa I ordered.
Don't deny yourself this experience. The food, friendly staff and service is outstanding and I particularly enjoyed the quaint way you order your food.
A big thumbs up guys!
N. J.
We love papparich. We have been there several times, it never disappointed!!! Love the food, the menu and good service!
A. A.
This place is one of th best place which provide halal food. Any person can come here, they ar very good.
They have open kitchen. But the space is very cozy. Interior decoration is very good and they have variety food options. The staffs are unfrofessional, though It wouldn't bother that much. If you are a food lover than this is the place.
THE price ka very reasonable and they have breakfast, lunch and dinner meal. They are mainly based on Asian food with Indian, Malaysian touch. though I love their drinks. They have different types of drinks and tea. Only $5. Its cheap. This is situated in the shopping center and there is very good road side view you can have from the inside. I have attached the menu picture.
Thanks.
Z. S.
Had lunch with friends yesterday! The service is prompt and food is lovely. Highly recommended to people who needs a quick bite.
S. Y.
Same consistent Malaysian hawker cuisine no matter which Pappa Rich franchise you go to. I had the char kway teow (great!) and chicken dumplings (average). Washed down with an ice blended soya milk (yum!). Came at 530pm on a weekday and it was already crowded. Good central location for walk ins. Service is attentive and food arrived promptly.
D. L.
PapaRich is definitely one of the most popular restaurants in the city of which I have been to almost 20 times since it’s opened. On the most recent occasion we had lunch here and got to try out the lunch menu, which was a nice surprise. For a very reasonable price you have the choice of a main + drink and only $3 for other sides. The dishes we had arrived very quickly, less than 5mins of ordering, and the quality didn’t lack either. My favourite was the roti canai which was crispy on the outer shell, yet soft and chewy on the inside. Definitely an affordable, delicious and filling dining option of choice for Canberra.
C. S.
If you’re craving for Laksa, I recommend you the Seafood Laksa at Papparich. Yeah! :)
The service is quick too.
S. T.
I came there with my baby boy many times, staffs were nice and friendly, helped me to heat my baby food.Food is delicious with reasonable price and fast service. We are from Melbourne , if have a chance will come back again
H. B.
This is my third time here and the food never ceases to amaze me. Having been through Singapore food courts, PapaRich seems to the closest I've come across here in Canberra. Kids simply love the Roti with chicken curry and never seem to get enough of it. If you are into soups there is a range of mouth watering offerings. Service is very practical no nonsense kind. In true Asian style you have photographs of food and codes for you to place the order. Food arrives as and when ready and is quite brisk. If you come during busy times there could be a bit of a wait. But fully worth it. Not too heavy on your wallet. Definitely worth it. Don't forget to try the dessert...simply delicious. Until next time!!
L. B.
The taste of the sauces were over powering. The 3 pieces of red chicken was almost all bones. The prawn was spoiled by the taste of the sauce. The biryani rice was so dry & almost tasteless. Orange juice was very watery. Though the red bean drink was nice, only slightly sweeter than expected.
Chicken curry was ok, not very tasty. Dahl was ok.
Sorry...
The best thing about the place was the service. The waiter & waitresses were very friendly & attentive.
J. L.
Not exactly true Malaysian, but can't be too demanding since you need fresh spices (which is hard to come by in Australia) to make good Malaysian food. Service is not bad and food is not bad too. Can be busy at times.
P. G.
Good Malaysian food. One of the better beef rendangs I have had in Australia, it's not Antarabangsar, but I enjoy the meal. 😌
U. M.
Awesome Malaysian cuisine. I went there twice, and both times I was left extremely delighted with the food. Various types of Malaysian food is available, and it's often a difficult choice while ordering. Due to its popularity, this restaurant is almost always crowded, so there's a little waiting time involved. Drinks, main course, desserts; all of the food I tried was extremely delicious. Due to the crowd, the service is a bit messy but that's expected. Highly recommended restaurant.
A.
Food is alright, most of the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. Service is attentive unless busy. Definitely not a vegetarian friendly restaurant there's limited choices if you're vegetarian.
R. Y.
Sambal squid yum yum...big portion size but bit expensive (to be expected in Canberra). 2 x dishes and ice coffee $43.50
H. J.
Had the mee goreng for takeaway, it was mediocre. Good amount of egg, tofu and veg. But only 2 prawn... not that spicy. I wish they would include a spicy option as well. Otherwise standard Malaysian food. If you are Malaysian or Singaporean like me you could satisfy your cravings here once in while but it’s pricey for the portion size. Quick service and efficient workers, only waited 10 mins for my takeaway.
B. P.
I have mentioned PappaRich previously. It has become a favourite Sunday lunch venue. Service is welcoming and prompt. Great authentic cuisine.
M. M.
Some lovely and tasty Malaysian food. Served fast. It is definitely a favourite place.
Enjoyed my congee and steamed chicken.
Definitely need to try the chicken skewers with peanut sauce. Mouth watering goodness!!
Great atmosphere and service is prompt.
Don't use your credit card or pay wave!! Extra charges haha
B. A.
Standard Malaysian franchise; very tasty.
I like how the restaurant is run with the ringers and the pencil and paper. Very efficient.
A. K.
Great food
Amazing flavours
EXTREMELY fast service; like it's mind boggling how someone could cook such fresh tasting food so quickly!
Toilets are clean too!
E. s.
This estaurant serve various dishes of authentic Malaysian cuisine. You can find snacks, main course and desserts that will suit your taste best.
P. A.
Quick service, friendly staff and tasty food. Nice mixture of Malaysian and Indian flavors
S. J.
Good halal food I mostly ate chicken dishes because there was a certificate for halal chicken. I did not see any certificate for beef. I was verbally told by the waiter that everything is halal. Additionally I would have preferred more spicy options. Don't misunderstand what I did eat was good a would say good value for price in the location.
a. t.
Food was awesome, staff were so helpful and food served very quickly, all are Halal certified.
A. G.
Amazing malasian cuisine. Love the ambience. The service was great!!!
N. H.
Milktea with coffee jelly is a must!
Very nice rose syrup and soy milk frappe and glass jelly!
Laksa is ok (Hokka Hokka laksa is better imo)
The noodles in the photo is fermented fish noodles soup. It has an acquired taste 😋 if you can have it then it’s really good!
Really lovely staffs and fast ordering system.
E. M.
Papa reach can be called best ambassador of malaysian cuisine in other countries as it serves good quality foods and has clean and hygienic environment even in malaysia. Prices are a little bit high but acceptable. I will give them a visit again when i miss malaysia
A. D.
Really amazing food at a very decent price.
T. N. A. N.
Standard paparich restaurant. Foods are ok and was served quite fast even during lunch rush.
L. L.
Food were tasty but price a bit higher than general.
A. Z.
Beautiful presentation, great taste.. loved every bit of it..
A. N.
One of my all time favourite places.
PappaRich has always been a main stay for my dining out experience when in the City. The service is friendly and fast, and the food is is always delicious with generous portions. I normally have the Satay Chicken Skewers along with the Nasi Lemak w/ Fried Chicken and I'm always satisfied. They also have a diverse selection of drinks to top it all off too!
I definitely recommend this place.
L. F.
Food is decent with a large portion. A little bit pricey though.
O. W.
Service was efficient and excellent, and the food is generally great - at a reasonable price
H. Y.
Perfect HALAL restaurant, beef meat with rice and prawns is the best dish, prices $$$ and I recommend all the time, booking maybe a good choice sometimes 😀😀😀😀😀
佘.
Good Malaysian food all you could find here. And also vegetarian meals.
A. N.
It’s on the pricier side but if Malaysian food is your thing, then you wouldn’t be disappointed.
My last experience has been subpar though where the roti wasn’t cooked thoroughly. Assuming it is an isolated incident at the moment though.
C. G.
Ordered from Uber eats, was really good
A. A.
Second time in 6 years going here and they have improved a lot during that time. The food is fabulous, the staff is friendly and overall a really good place to visit all the time.
I accidentally left my coat on the seat and left. One of the staff members came running to me returning the coat back!! Amazing Restaurant
C. D.
A regular haunt, but the last couple of times I haven't enjoyed the meal so much. The newish menu item, forgot its name, a soupy-rice dish didn't appeal at all and I left it behind. There was grit in the meal from the seafood.
Were we spaced for covid safety? Don't know... but I'd rather more room these days and won't be heading back for quite some time now.
T. F.
One of the best food spots in all of Canberra!!! Extremely fast service, great variety of food and drinks, family friendly and affordable! Please open one in Greenway (you'll have tons of customers!!!)
T. K. P.
I have never actually been able to like the taste of anything here other than their watermelon juice. I am very authentic for curry, tikka and they never taste very good. But somewhat reasonable and good service to boost the score.
M. J.
Service was ok and food was cold. Taste was good.
R.
One of my favourite restaurants in Canberra. I had 2 menulog deliveries over the past week - food was amazing as always! Thank you!
S.
Large range of Malaysian street food. Good standard for a franchise chain style restaurant.
D. D.
Delicious laksa and yummy drinks 👌 will be eating here again!
R. A.
Caramel egg sago pudding was yummy, quick service.
L. J. (.
Wonderful food, customer service needs improving
m. (. M.
Average on all levels - service, food, venue. Good to try once but that's it. Also noticed there are not many dishes without seafood of some sort, so unless you love that kind of stuff it will be hard to find a suitable dish...
K. C.
Great food at affordable price in Canberra.
N.
Have been here many times and the quality and service is always perfect. There can be line ups during dinner and during school holidays but the wait makes it all worth it. If you like spicy food then this is perfect. Staff are always quick to service and the food arrive very quickly especially on those days that it's busy. Will always come here when visiting Canberra.
G. B.
Chicken curry, Dahl and Roti yummy snd good value at 14.90
N. Z.
Great tasting meals, served quickly, and plenty of space to accommodate guests. Friendly and helpful staff, good value for quality dishes.
I. P.
Not expensive, good sized portions, food is ok. Nothing fancy
M. M.
My parents love this place and they're right. It's not bad. The deep-fried chicken skin is to die for. My other favourite dish is honey chicken but that's a Chinese Dish so I have to go to Sammy's Kitchen for that dish.
S. S.
Went to papparich with a friend for dinner. It was busy but we were seated quickly. I love the ordering system, it's easy and efficient. Our food came out very quickly, it was tasty and hot, and our drinks were delicious. Was a little pricey and very busy, but I would go back!
S. J.
This place is always good. Currently the menu is reduced during the Covid19 situation but they still have a wide range and my favourites which is always handy. Fast and good service with great food. Currently doing reservation seating in 45 minute blocks during semi-lockdown but totally worth it.
T. W.
Amazing food and the sauces are delicious. Hardly any waiting time for food (Sunday dinner), and staff were polite and friendly.
K. S.
Fairly tasty food served quickly. The menu appears to have many options but mostly it is just different variations of the same two curry dishes served with assorted sides. Atmosphere is squishy and loud at dinner time.
The drinks here are very good.
I. M.
Always something good to eat at PappaRich. Great system of ordering on a tab from the table. Good fruit drinks and snacks to satisfy the midday hunger. Staff are attentive to customer needs and ensure that the dining experience is an "I want to come back" occasion.
P. N.
Awesome food, very filling
P. M.
Edit: I love their new menu! They have added so many more vegetarian options and all very flavourful and well-cooked. It has increasingly become better and better in my past few visits. Love their Hainan chicken rice. But what blew my mind were the vege side dishes - the sambal eggplant was FLAVOUR! I love that they offer okra, it is a vegetable that is hard to find in menus here and a dear favourite of mine. Also, their stir fried greens and mung beans with salted fish is AMAZING. The quantity is also very generous. I am really pleased with the new menu offerings and have become a regular.
I have always been given good service here - very smiling, friendly staff. Love the ordering system! So, it is a pity that the food is average at best. The only thing I really really love from the menu is the lemon and honey tea! Alas, a drink is much more flavourful than their actual food :(
N. B.
Generous servings and consistent. Service is so casual it’s basically non existent. The classic dishes are tasty. However if you feel like toast... or a single egg... at a random time, this is the place for you.
H. I.
Food is really good and unique varieties. Hard to decide :-)
Remember the number & name of the Item, specially if you go in a group.
Even though I paid, $270+ for 16(12 adults, 4 kids), I had to pay surcharge. And if you make booking over phone, make sure be there with in 10 minutes of the time of booking.
They try their all afford to accommodate as many as possible, so if you are in group and have kids, you don't feel comfortable.
Again food is awesome.
S. L.
Foods are delicious. Service was good. But last 2weeks ago i visited and order wat tan hor, end up i can't finished it because too salty. And today visited again ordered the same menu and i put remarks (Less Salt) with the hope not that salty but end up the same. So i only gave 4⭐. Roti are always awesome.
V. T.
This is definitely my FAVOURITE restaurant. I've been going there for the past 2 years and order the nasi goreng, roti and iced lemon tea. Having lived in South East Asia previously, it was really nice to have Pappa Rich offer food of the same quality.
P. C.
A very authentic Malaysian Restaurant located in Canberra CBD. The food never ceased to impress me and my family. I had the Nasi Lemak and it was well cooked and presented. Will definitely stop by again for some good food.
F. S.
great food, good price!
W. K.
Excellent Asian restaurant. Very quick service and great customer service. Delicious Malaysian style food. Good crowd and conveniently located in Canberra Centre. Great place to have a quick lunch or a family dinner.
K. D.
Went here on busy Saturday lunchtime. I ordered 2 things. The har new soup, which was quite good, and some prawn dumplings that were stale, not warm and chewy. I would go back but I wouldn't order dumplings again. Service was fast.
s. r.
This is one of our go-to places when we run out of dining options. Wonderful flavours, fantastic menu options, busy restaurant, consistently good food, friendly staff are the hallmarks of this wonderful restaurant. Having tasted most of the menu items, it is very hard to rank one dish over another but Nasi Goreng is pretty much my all time favourite. Keep up the good work guys.
M.
Food was good and came relatively fast. But:
- a $4 public holiday surcharge per person. Really? It was not even communicated to us. I just found it in receipt
- They forgot to bring a dessert for one of us and still charged us for it. We noticed after we left
At least they served it to us without hassle when we came back to them!
N. M.
I really liked this restaurant. You write down your order and press a buzzer for them to take your order. The food was good and I was happy because there were some vegetarian options including mock meat. Watch out for the sambal, it's hot!
J. F.
Refreshingly good! My wife and I haven't been here since the covid lockdown, so it was nice to be back in the restaurant sampling the tasty cuisine again. Thanks muchly!
J. C.
Food is served quickly, and taste is consistent, but they have been cutting down on their serving sizes and contents. It's a reasonable Malaysian food option, for a chain store
e. k. c. h.
Overall the food is tasty. For Australian standard, the price come with a bigger portion as compared to those in Malaysia or Singapore branches . So no complaints about the price and services here. Do noted that , they charge 1.8% of surcharge if u pay with credit card. Which is a no no to me.
A. R.
Good food. Staffs are polite. Foods come quite quickly which is great. Price seems to be bit high. Love to see more options. Definitely recommend.
D. L.
Food was ok, and warm not hot
However the waiter was literally running almost throwing the food and drinks at each table. The place was constant not packed. Found that off putting. Won't go back.
S.
I love love love the food but the service is where it lets you down EVERYTIME. For e.g. this week we went and had dinner there, ordered 3 dishes, one came out, cold, the boiled egg was actually in the fridge and you can tell because the ring around it had gone grey, the waiter came, slammed the food down, didn't ask who it was for, didn't acknowledge us, just slammed it down and left, and the food sat there just getting colder for another 25 minutes at which point he came and slammed down the rest.
V. L.
PappaRich has been for a long time a solid option for a very specific style of Malaysian cuisine. The Rotis, Crispy Chicken Skin, the Ipoh Combination, the teas and drinks...
There was a long gap since my last visit, so I was also curious to see what would have changed in the last 2 years, and as a good surprise, only the menu changed. Flavour, speed and presentation are still the same, as good as it was the very first time, years ago.
M.
Reliable food. We had the chicken rice and roti canai with curry chicken today - we also got a drink, extra bean sprouts and nuts + anchovies and it was $41.
Chicken rice was delicious as always, I only discovered today that you could order extra bean sprouts on the side - that was the highlight of my day.
Roti canai was also really good, I loved the sambal and the curry chicken. Didn’t really like the Dahl but I generally don’t like Dahl anyway.
The lychee soda we had was not too sweet and had good lychee flavour through it.
What I love about papparich is although they are a chain, they’ve managed to produce delicious Singapore and Malaysian food that’s about 90% similarity consistently. Also the price point is very reasonable for what we usually get.
B. N.
I love the Nasi Kunyit with Beef Rendang & Sambal Eggplants and the Mango Mania drink, and so far they are my favourites. Top notch staff and customer service.
C. W.
Quite disappointed with the premium Hainan chicken, it's cornfed but way over cooked. The chicken breast was so dry and chewy. To pay extra for chilli sauce is a bit of a rip-off as well. laksa was good though.
H. R.
A nice restaurant in the centre of Canberra. One of the place that serve halal food and bring a tasty south east asian meals. This place is great for meeting friends, quick bite, or even family dinner. Please make sure to do a reservation by phone for a bigger gathering, since the place is usually packed full from the visitors.
A. A.
Quick service for such a busy restaurant. Always quality food so I love coming here. Would recommend the Roti Canai options. Servings are more than generous. You can always opt for takeaway if you can't finish your meal, no fuss. All in all good experience for good value
S. H.
I have been here for 3 Years and the food taste varies depending on where in the pot you get the food.
The takeaway beef/chicken rendang is not big and the dhal they serve is maybe a tablespoon so not sure why they even serve this as it is pointless, there is more chilly sauce than dhal.
Good taste, just not that filling if you after a beef/chicken rendang so make sure you have desert also after.
Had a beef rendang one day with just meat and no sauce, put in a complaint for the average meal to the store but no reply so the customer service is not good at all.
L. M.
Happy with the food and service. Sometimes can take time to receive the food once order has been placed but its worth it.
We come here often due to atmosphere and how nice the food is. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
L. H.
If it’s anything like the Melbourne PappaRich’s I’m sure the foods great. You should know that the closing time is a bit mid-leading. Sure they’re open till 10. But their last orders are taken at 9pm.
L. T.
Great food, super quick service. We were seated, served and out in about 20 minutes. Good value for money.
D. M.
This place was busy at 7pm on a Monday, a good indication of great food. I ordered the Roti Telur Bawang (Roti bread with egg and onion in it) with the beef rendang. It was easily the best rendang I have eaten. Succulent and moist, it melted in my mouth and the flavours were beautifully balanced. The sides (a lentil curry/dahl and tomato relish) matched perfectly. I do wish I had ordered an additional Roti though.
The service requires you to fill out an order chit then press the buzzer for your table. The staff were friendly and the wait for food was not too long. The bill was dropped at the table early in the meal so I did feel as though I had no recourse to add anything else to my order (such as an extra Roti) - I suppose I could have pressed the buzzer for service.
Overall, highly recommended.
C. S.
BEST ROTIS EVER! I am becoming a bit of a regular at PappaRich and working my way through the menu - but can never resist one of their roti. Big range of Malaysian drinks too.
D. S.
Great food. Service is decent, unique ordering system. but it works so no complaints. Is normally fairly packed for dinner so just come a bit earlier.
V. C.
They never disappoint here!! Roti is always a good choice and so are the variety of rice and noodle dishes. The soy milk with black sesame ice cream drink is also a favourite!
S. H.
Many interesting sweet teas, like barley, barleygrass, rose. These cost $5-$9. The barley tea had boiled barley on the bottom, but otherwise tasted like sugary fat-free milk. Large mug of it, which is a plus.
The food looked good, but they didn't have the stir-fried rice, only white rice.
The tables and chairs are on the small side and close together. Uncomfortable metal chairs.
The staff were very helpful and agreed to split the bill for a large group.
D. N.
PapaRich has an interesting ordering system - you fill a checkbox with a menu number and then you use a doorbell to tell the staff your order is ready. Food arrived within minutes. Generous portion sizes.
Y. E.
Yes for Papa Rich - I love the HK style novelty of the paper order slip you fill out your self and it’s big picture menu. Try the Kaiya toast and coconut ice drink. This place is also kid friendly!
K. M.
Gets a bit busy and there is usually a waiting time but food is worth the wait. Good serving sizes, plenty of options in the menu and fairly priced
G. F.
Very popular place so don't be surprised to line up for a table in peak times. Once you sit down everyone completes a form that lists the items to order. The food really tastes authentic and is usually served quite quickly.
K. N.
Great food. Kids would have given 5 star if they got some sweets after the meal. Recommended.
E. N. S.
Very delicious Malaysian food. Good and rapid service.
Coconut paradise is a must.
But the roti canai is getting smaller in size.

An all time favourite already, we especially love this venue here in Canberra too. Always met with great service, delicious food and terrific value to boot. Not too crowded and easy to get too in the Canberra Centre, in the heart of Civic.
T. D.
Beautiful food, absolutely scrumptious and delicious. Service was quick and the staff are friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back
y. d.
always packed. delicious food
G. B.
A good variety of fairly cheap southeast Asian dishes (laksa, nasi lemak, char kway teow, etc). It's always fairly bustling and there's often a queue for a table around dinner time. Great place for a quick, inexpensive meal.
Y. H.
Have eaten here twice now with my family, once for lunch and once for dinner. We all loved it. Very happy with the food and the service. Would recommend and would go back again.
S. T.
The best Paparich ever! One of a must halal culinary destination when I visit Canberra. The flavour you went get in any Paparich Sydney. Even just for simply Nasi goreng or Roti telur, it taste a lot better here! Dont take me wrong, I am regular Paparich visitor in Sydney ^_^
K. G.
The most authentic Nyonya Cuisine restaurant outside of mainland Malaysia and Singapore. Average 20 AUD which is high cost efficient. Every meal is very delicate and delicious. Highly recommended.
D. H.
I've been to Papparich before in Paramatta, and Canberra is just as good.
There staff are friendly and efficient, keeping everything moving along quickly. You're never rushed though, free to sit and enjoy the delicious food.
Oh the food! Amazing! Don't over order though, the portions are surprisingly filling. There's a huge variety layed out in their beautiful full color menus. I recommend the roti and randang. My favourite
M. J. A.
Good food with great taste. I liked the special nasi gorek. Serving fast.
S.
Excellent service and excellent Asian food. Food was reasonably priced.
N. K.
Solid experience there. tasty food and quick service. v.consistent experience every time I go there.
S. Z.
Food is great, service is poor
C. B.
The fried rice noodles are AMAZING! Staff very friendly. The coconut shake was the best i've ever had:)
P. H.
Food was great and the restaurant looked lovely. Overall we had a great time. Taking off a star because we had to leave quickly because there was a long waiting line.
J. L.
Authentic Malaysian Chinese food. Fast, authentic and taste well. The furniture may be a bit worn
A. G.
Love the foods, the spices that i always miss 😊
S. R.
The food was quite nice. I had the roti with curry / dahl / sambal and it seems that the portions have shrunk quite a lot since my last visit.
L. W.
Fast and friendly service and delicious food. I tried dessert for the first time....amazing!!! Banana roti with vanilla ice cream!
P. N.
This place feels like home. We absolutely love John, the restaurant manager. We can never just have one teh rarely with a roti chanai. Highly recommended.
A. S.
We love ago dine here for a quick meal. The food and service is good at all times
L. L. K.
Great food! But please consider not using plastic cups for dine in customers? Too much single use plastic disposed.
Y.
Mainly there for Malaysian paratha the flakey flat bread and it was good other curries and kebabs were not to impressive but ok, service is kinda since you're here we have to treat you.
C.
Taste like what those people would eat in Crazy Rich Asians, albeit maybe the budget version. Tastes great!
M. B.
Reliably good food. The vegetarian menu is limited but tasty. They've increased their prices which is disappointing.
A. Y.
Malaysian Food!!
As a fellow Malaysian I enjoy going here as it is authentic and really close to what it tastes like in Malaysia.
I recommend the Teh Tarik or Milk Tea and Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken
K. Y.
N14 - Go for it. Enough wok hei, enough flavours. Just make sure you ask for extra "pickled green chillis".
I. M.
Food is very nice. U will get what u pay. Halal food. Staff very friendly. Reasonable waiting time.
H. L.
The food did not match the photo, also there is a surcharge with paypass. Service is like a fast food restaurant, but food is ok though. Quite a noisy and crowded place as well. Toilet is really clean though.
J. V. S.
Nice food plus I love the use of a buzzer when you need assistance from staff. I think every store should apply this as it makes it less of a hassle trying to pull a staff member to your table for a question.
L. G. (.
Fast service, lovely food.
N. T.
For the price I would say it is slightly expensive in regards to the portion and quality. The service is the majority that should be improved immediately, like seriously why do I have to ask for water everytime visiting?
J. B.
Four stars because it’s delicious, but it is incredibly bad value for money. Very expensive for what you receive.
L.
There are some things on the menu that aren't good but some things are also delicious. The staff aren't very friendly, fast cooking. Might consider going again.
D. J.
Good food, good service. We enjoyed our experience. Staff were helpful. Nice atmosphere and very easy access.
J. C.
The food here definitely won't disappoint u if u r from Singapore or Malaysia, it's just the same taste as u had back there.
S. M.
It's good for a fusion of Malaysian food. Love roti with curry sauce and chicken with dry noodles.
F. Z.
Food was ok, just like the PappaRich in Melbourne. Staff were friendly and restaurant atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.
M. K.
First time coming here. The food was amazing and the drink are addictively good! I will definitely be returning here very soon!
D. N.
Good food, fast service and I can see restaurant is neat and tidy. Good job done by cleaners and your staffs. Thumps up....
A. I.
Great food and service. Also has a Teh Tarek that rivals the one I had daily in Brunei and haven't been able to find since...will certainly be back
A. 8.

E. T.

Canberras Pappa Rich ..Awesome,Brisbanes Pappa rich too oily ,sorry but its true ,i had the same dishes at both canberra and brisbane in a 3 day period and they were different..
L. W.
Great strong taste. Generous servings. Table service is adequate. Nice drinks.
L. Y.
Their chicken here is good. Not the best hainanese chicken I've ever had. But for Canberra standards it's pretty good.
J. P.
On-time preparation for delivery and delicious food :)
A. C.

J. H.
A solid Malaysian food chain with great rotis and no-frills service.
C. W.
Quite disappointed with the premium Hainan chicken, it's cornfed but way over cooked. The chicken breast was so dry and chewy. To pay extra for chilli sauce is a bit of a rip-off as well. laksa was good though.
N. A.
Reasonable price and variety of food of Malay cuisine
O. A.
