I must admit we were disappointed at the standards of food here despite the average 4.5 star reviews for this restaurant. I've had many better pad see ew previously and this one just didn't feel like the noodles were absorbed into the sauce and lacked flavour. The Thai quail was very dry and hard. The beef with cucumber wasn't presented as appealing as the image on the menu suggests and didn't live up to expectations either. The deep fried whitebait was nice and the duck larb salad was nice, though the serving size for the salad was rather small. Compared to a number of other Thai restaurants the best rating I can give would be 3.5 ⭐. Yours truly @fooderarri

Food is fantastic, prices are very reasonable (they continue to offer $9.90 lunch specials!). Would highly recommend if looking for tasty Thai at affordable prices. Note the restaurant is a bit hidden as the entrance is up a narrow stair way.

Best Thai in town! Absolutely love this little restaurant. They always deliver great lunches and just had dinner there for the first time tonight. The atmosphere was peaceful and I could easily hear people at my table. Perfect for a dinner catch up and the food did not disappoint. Cannot recommend enough :)

The food tasted average, certainly a taste-toned-down Caucasian Thai restaurant. The price is above average, especially you can get better food in suburbs with that price. The fried rice we ordered was a highlight, the char taste was so prominent it made us feel like order for another plate. The pad Thai was too sour to my liking, the noodles were sticky and starchy. NoT the usual pad Thai that we had.The dishes were certainly not up to the mark if you are a regular of Kinn Thai. Overall, it is ok, but not mind blowing. I don’t mind to go back if someone booked that place but I won’t make a visit for dinner again.

They make a phenomenal pad thai, and honestly, you get what you pay for in terms of portions. Had to take the remainder back with me! Waitress was handling the whole restaurant *solo* and still managed to be perfectly amicable and professional. I'd have broken down, had I been in her place. Outstanding!

Lovely Thai lady with lovely thai food, underrated restaurant probably due to it's hidden location upstairs. Food is better than kinn thai in my opinion. Service is definitely better than Kinn Thai. If you prefer somewhere quieter and away from the yelling crowd to eat thai food, I'd recommend this place. Their thai milk tea is awesome. If you like duck and lychee, you should try their Bangkok duck curry.

3.5 stars. Have dined here on multiple occasions. Tasty dishes, good sized portions and well priced. Food arrived fairly quickly and split bill was convenient. Only complaint would be the sticky rice dessert which was undercooked.

When dining with my mate at Rice Thai Tapas Restaurant, the first thing we noticed was the brilliant service from the lady who greeted us from the moment we entered. The great service carried through the rest of our time here and made for a comfortable and welcoming experience. The food was also full of flavour and presented beautifully. Can't wait to come back and try what else they have on the menu. Would recommend the cashew nut stir fry.

Visited last month and was wondering why the restaurant was very quite at dinner time. The atmosphere here was warm and romantic with candles. The customer service was also excellent. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. However, I honestly say that I wasn’t impressed by the quality of the food. It was bland and not delicious like what I was looking for.

lovely atmosphere, delicious and yummy food. I ate at other fancy Thai places in Braddon but Rice Tapas Bar is way above them. food is flavorsome, menu is diverse and authentic and staff is warm and welcoming. underpriced for the quality and portions they gave you. I had lamb salad, lamb stir fry, and green curry. I will be back. It is a hidden gem to say the least!

I ordered panang curry which didn't say it would be spicy but I was literally crying from spiciness while having lunch with my colleagues. it was extremely yummy though so I guess it was worth it. there is a lunch deal which is extremely good value, $9.90 and the portions are very large.

We really enjoyed our meal here. It is a modest styled Thai restaurant with a fairly extensive menu. The pricing is fair and the servings are generous and tasty. The service was fine, welcoming and efficient. My dining partner appreciated the pictures of the meals decorating the walls. As for the best laksa in Canberra, I'm going to say top 3 possibly top 2 and you might need to research further if you'd like to know where the best is. We will be back.
