Simply put, Rubicon is outstanding. The wait staff and sommelier are great and the food is sensational. We had the "design your own" 6 course degustation with paired wine and each dish was perfect. My favourite was the gruyere souffle, which is definitely a fluffy cheesy cloud of goodness, while the Pernod cured salmon was delicately balanced and amazing.

Probably the best meal I’ve had out in Canberra. Everything delivered to our table was standout. The service was also efficient and helpful. The fitout is in need of a refresh but it doesn’t detract from how good the food is.

Good, but not as good as it used to be. Service adequate not brilliant. Food tasty but nothing special. Side dishes much smaller than in previous years. No longer offering BYO means we will look elsewhere for our special evenings out. A shame as we used to enjoy bringing something special from our cellar along. Wine list extensive. Too extensive. Beware: ordering q scoop of ice cream still incurs the 3 scoop price (waitress failed to let us know that).

My guests were looking forward to a couple of dishes ( souffle and confit of duck)advertised on the website but were not available that night. However, one of the replacement mains ie duck breast was lovely.. The entrees were ok, and the steak and fish mains were nice. However, dessert i.e. chocolate mousse cake was ordinary and the roasted plum cheesecake was disappointing.The service was excellent.

What an amazing restaurant! From the moment you walk in the experience is one of the best in Canberra. The interior is well done and each area has its own feel. The food was all top quality with amazing serving sizes. Our party had the $95, 6 course meal ($135 with matching wines). The way it works is you are given a huge selection, and you can pick 6 items from anywhere on the menu (if you wanted to, you could have six mains and they scale the size depending on what course it is) the table must all have the same six items. Every dish was sensational and expertly prepared. Our waitress was amazing and the wine pairings complimented each dish perfectly.

For my first time here, I was pleasantly surprised. I had walked past and didn't realise what was hiding behind a relatively unassuming front. The staff are exactly what you would expect. Very attentive and personable. The food didn't disappoint. It was a delicious range and for the 6 course, we were able to chose between almost anything on the menu and they portioned it accordingly. I was initially worried about leaving hungry. But by the end, was very satisfied. The semillon was great with the wines and even though he looked younger than most I have seen. He has a lot of experience and it is obviously his passion.

We have had dinner here on multiple occasions and have found that this restaurant goes above and beyond. Have had amazing service and even more amazing food. From the bread, sashimi, pork and manchego croquette, the beef rib eye and the duck fat roasted potatoes and autumn greens. To finish with the creme brulee. The most amazing dining experience. We have had dinner at multiple fine dining restaurants and Rubicon is one of those restaurants we keep coming back to. With the fairy light atmosphere and the knowledgeable, enthusiastic waiters, you are definitely in for a fine dining, palatable experience.

Definitey a must go brasserie style restaurant slightly hidden off the main track in Griffith. A wonderful selection of wines and a delectable menu of non pretentious, well executed food. Loved the family setting and service and will definitely go back.

Fantastic dishes and terrific service. Prices upper range with $20 entrees & $30+ mains, but a wonderful place to celebrate our friend's significant birthday with a dinner for 2 couples. I had fantastic beef cheek, meat so tender I didn't have to cut it, I only had to point the knife at it :-)

The restaurant was very private and quiet. I love the fairy lights on the ceiling. A little background music would be a good idea. Please put a pop up poster or stand in as a marker of your restaurant, didn't find it right away. Food was scrumptious and generous in servings.

We had a spectacular evening at Rubicon. We had the 5 courses with accompanying wines and let the staff choose for us. They did an awesome job and were so friendly. They strike a balance between being a bit fancy while still being vibrant and fun. The zucchini flowers and the beef tartare were serious highlights. We will definitely be back.

If you can perhaps get it twice, it's that good. The serving size is spot on and I always enjoy the matching wine experience. Amazing food!!! Rarely have I tested food that was enough flavoured without being too much. They managed to get the perfect balanced. Aubergine is doing too much and we are lost in the flavours they offer, Pomegrenate not enough in the flavour, Rubicon is just right. Dishes are creative with surprising combination which makes our palates delighted. Great service!!! The service was amazing which is very rare in Australia. No poorly trained student. Staff knew and was able to advise on dishes, attended to our needs timely while being discreet and with a hint of humour for some. Relaxing atmosphere!!! The separations make the restaurant cosy, quiet and very comfortable. Light in the ceiling make the atmosphere very special. Being French, I have very high standard when it comes to food, service and atmosphere, and Rubicon was truly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.

My favourite restaurant in Canberra and had raved about it to my partner. He was sceptical thinking no place can be that amazing. Well he changed his mind after we spent a delightful evening with great service and the best meal in town. The experience was delicious from beginning to end. The amazing smell of the meals could be detected before it was placed on the table. The presentation of the dishes was appealing. The flavours were memorable. I ordered the steak as usual because it is always perfect. I think Rubicon is the most underrated restaurant in Canberra and it makes it a well kept secret.

We had my sons wedding reception there last Sat night. The good was amazing but the staff went above and beyond particular with older grandparents that where there and struggled with steps and getting around.
