We were unaware of this restaurant until a friend invited us, and we're very glad he did. The food was super good, everything well seasoned and the staff is incredibly friendly. A dinner for 4 with shared entrees and shared naans was around 40 per person and the portions were more than enough having a all ranges of people with different levels of appetite. We'll be back, for sure.

First of all, the food was really good. However, I suggest not to use mustard oil in momos as it gives an unpleasant odour while eating. In addition customer service can be improved with the selection of proper uniform for all staff as everybody was wearing different uniforms which really disgrace the environment. Otherwise, I would have given 5 star with no doubt.

Very nice food. We usually eat in the restaurant but for take away due to covid.... we had a feast at home, it was as good take away as it was there. Great to have a unique menu that is not just Chinese, Indian, burgers or pizza. Very tasty Nepalese dishes, especially the Pakauda and dahl was great.

I tried to order through menu log, my order wasn't accepted by the restaurant and no reason was given for this. This is the message I received from Menu Log: "Sorry, order 213609553 wasn't successful. The restaurant couldn't accept your order. If you've been charged, your refund's on its way." I'm really disappointed with this experience as I've wasted time trying to order. I now have to find a different restaurant for dinner.

Susmita is a welcoming and lovely hostess with a phenomenal memory! We came about three weeks ago for the first time and came back because we enjoyed our meal - see the Fork review - and she not only remembered our names but our children's! Tried a few different dishes - the sizzling chicken entree is a winner and the prawn curry really fresh and zesty. Noticed they have Gypsie Jack from Langhorne Creek on their wine list for $34 - 2018 vintage - will imbibe next time!

I wandered in with my wife and a friend on a Tuesday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of Poleko Chicken. WOW!! The restaurant was filling up quickly yes even on Tuesday night. Foods are served as an authentic Nepalese dish and setup was credible. Must visit Nepalese Restaurant.

Lots of vegan options - a lot of the curries are dairy free. I had the Mustang Thali set which had rice, pickle, papadam and 3 curries - Dahl, aaloo bodi tama and vegetable kottu. Also Nepalese beers which were really nice and refreshing. Staff are lovely. They also do take- away and delivery.

Fantastic service by the waitresses; they were very attentive, kept our water jugs filled, explained the menu to us and were patient when we took a long time to order. It would have been nice to talk to the owner or chef to add to the fantastic service. Food was okay, not my favourite but edible. I wasn't a fan of the Eggplant Masala which I felt had too much of a tomato flavour. We also ordered the Momo entree, the Chicken Biryani, Lamb Rogan Josh and Goat Curry. I would have liked a creamier sauce for the main dishes. However my family liked the food and ate it. We ordered the Mango Lassi but it tasted too much of yogurt and not enough of mango for me and I didn't finish it. However my family drank their mango lassi and liked it. The decor in the restaurant could use some work; The tables and walls were okay but felt a bit gloomy and some of the prayer flags had fallen and were hanging down. The decorative jars of spices were very dusty, which isn't a great look. The back of the restaurant was being used to store furniture which was unappealing to look at during dinner. The main artwork was hung crooked, which was annoying. Some of the plants were browning and looking a bit unhappy. And we walked past a dripping, leaky air conditioner into the restaurant, which was a bit concerning! However the hanging lanterns and traditional atmospheric music were lovely and made me feel a little like I was actually in Nepal. Overall the Mustang Nepalese restaurant was okay, but not my favorite so 3/5 stars. I felt that there's better restaurants around for the same price and with a better experience; I'd go back to them before coming back here.

I would have given 6 stars if I could. Amazing food, specially the traditional plate. They were fully booked for the night but still were kind enough to host us. I would have gone there the next day if I were slightly less adventurous with food!!

Momos were the best. I have no complaints except for one, I had high expectations for taste of food, not saying foods were bad. They were great and service was great as well. Only thing I was not satisfied with was the taste of the foods, I felt like I was eating in an Indian restaurant. Absolutely Indian taste whereas I was expecting Nepali Taste. Fresh tasty food, generous portions and pleasant helpful staff. We asked for spicy hot but the waitress suggested medium with additional chilli on the side. The dishes were just the level we wanted and didn't have to add more! Momos were also yummy. We had the Aloo bodi Tama and the eggplant masala with rotis, rice and raita followed by Nepali tea - great for the chilly weather. Will be back again!

It is great to see the same owner and team of Hungry Buddha Farrar, running this lively new restaurant. The team are driven by passion for amazing traditional Nepalese and fusion cuisine. This restaurant is inclusive of a bar area with a unique selection of beverages. I highly recommend having a visit for a taste of fine food and a wide menu selection. Very reasonably priced and great for groups.

Went there for an impromptu dinner last night and managed to find a table easily. The service was welcoming and efficient. The food was very tasteful and the Nepali Momos (dumplings) were delicious. Followed this up with flavourful Chili Chicken and the Thali which was a fine representation of Nepali cuisine. The only sting at the end was the $8 corkage on BYO wine. The food was, however, good enough to warrant another visit soon!

I went to Canberra last week. I was staying in a hotel and had very little idea of the city. I was craving for some Nepali food but was totally unaware of any restaurants serving it to me. The hotel staff then recommended me 'The Mustang Nepalese Restaurant'. I immediately called them and ordered a Nepali Khana-Thali set. To my surprise, within just a few minutes, it was delivered to me. I ate it to the last bite, it was so authentic and tasty that it totally reminded me of my country back home. The food was so great that I couldn't resist not paying them a visit, so I went there early in the morning next day. I liked the ambience and felt very welcomed from the super friendly staffs. Then I had my breakfast. I wasn't there for long but I'm glad that I encountered such a nice restaurant in Canberra. Can't wait to come and visit them the next time I arrive here.

We went to Mustang Nepalese Restaurant and Bar after reading a recent review. That review was spot on! We asked the waiter if he could recommend something as it was our first time. He took our menus away and ordered the food for us. We had Momo's and Choyala for starters, which were amazing! For the main we had lamb Curry, rice and garlic naan. Really good portions and you could tell all dishes were made fresh. My advice, ask the staff for recommendations. We told them what we liked and they delivered food we absolutely loved. Thank you for a lovely meal and we will definitely be returning. If we could give you more stars, we would!

We had a great experience at the Mustang. We had a large group and our host was very accommodating. He made sure we were all very satisfied and offered any changes for diets. He also threw in some variations to the regular menu. We didn't have to worry about a thing except having a good time! The banquets easily filled everyones belly's with plenty of leftovers which we took home. Not a huge variety of beer and wine but they offer byo wine so that was great.

I was really excited to come to this restaurant after a busy hectic day, we came around Friday 6:30pm when restaurant was filling up with customers and I was amazed by its beautiful calm interior. By far the best Nepalese restaurant in town. Being vegetarian, I was really impressed with the vegetarian options in their menu. This was a spur of the moment decision , we were going somewhere else when as we were driving my wife suddenly said Hungry Buddha, we've never been there , we arrived and saw Mustang. we thought well lets have a look its still Nepalese. Best decision we've made in years . It was very quiet but you sensed a very beautiful vibe to the place. Service was friendly straight away. Looking at the menu we were very spoilt for choice , we opted for the Chicken Choila and Macha Fry to start and then we went for the goats curry and the prawn curry. We also went for the garlic naan. All the dishes were amazing, the quality of ingredients , the flavours and you see what passion had been put into the dishes. The stand out was the Chicken Choila , wow, amazing flavours, and the freshly made garlic naans , to die for. The owner made a point of chatting to us at the end which was great , and we also met the chef. One brilliant place , we'll be back , you need to visit and support this place
