Amazing vegan restaurant, lots of delicious options. We visit it every week and it never disappoints. The laksa is amazing and all other dishes we have tried, like tofu hot pot, soy meat hot plates, spare ribs, lemongrass chicken, mushroom fritters, soy chicken skewers, satay skewers and more. Very nice and cosy place, friendly staff and great service.

Quaint little restaurant that has absolutely amazing food and really considerate service. Everytime we go the waitress really ensures we enjoy our meal, and it's not hard to enjoy it when the food is so fresh and flavoursome! We love the size of the menu and how excellently prepared all the faux food is. We had the salt & pepper oyster mushrooms and they were so crispy and the flavour was insanely realistic for salt & pepper squid.

Nothing like the BBQ rack or got plate on a hot day and their yellow noodle Laksa on cold days. It is our favourite restaurant in Dickson by far.

Hand's down one of the best Laksa I've had outside of Malaysia 😍 Started with the crunchy wontons - 6/10 They were good but the wrapper was ever so slightly powdery, the sauce is excellent though. Next was the yellow noodle Laksa and oh my! The seasoning was perfection (sometimes with the use of mock meat, the dish can come out super salty). The spice was just right and the serving size is huge value for money. There was legitimately a full litre of soup in the bowl. Finished up with the deep fried ice cream and maple syrup 😋 Will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I had seen such great reviews about this place that we had been absolutely dying to come visit .. and it did not disappoint!! Such a beautiful and peaceful feel in the restaurant with happy families, young business men and women, and people coming and going collecting their delicious smelling takeaway orders. The presentation of the menu is perfect with easy to read prices, descriptions of ingredients and a lovely photo of how the dish is served. This is such a good idea as you don't have to guess how it will look once bought out. We had decided to be starving once we arrived here and order as many things as we could to sample during our special evening. I guess the waiter thought we were being excessive as while we were ordering he interrupted with "I doubt you can eat all this" muttered under his breath. It was quite hurtful and even though a possibly true statement, it made us feel as though we were being greedy and a nuisance. This sadly is now a lasting memory that we associate with this place and it did offend us. The food, however, lifted the mood once it arrived as it was so incredibly scrumptious and bursting with flavour. It is extremely clever and a real eye opener for people to taste and experience these dishes when they assume vegans only eat things like lettuce. Each mouthful was moist and addictive and so good. Yum! Despite a slightly rocky start this evening was a total success and we will be back! Also, we totally ate every single plate of food so ... haha!

We read the reviews thinking we’ll go for the food but expecting bad service. The service was wonderful and the food even better. We ordered the drumsticks for entree, corn soup, potato vegetable basket, laksa and Mongolian lamb, topped off with a non alcoholic beer. It was incredible and unfortunately that was way too much food for two people. I do have to say they the crispy potato basket with vegetables was sure my favorite. It deserves 5 starts but it is not a fancy establishment.definatly come here again when I visit Canberra!

I am not even vegan but this is one of my favourite restaurants! The Roast Duck and Eggplant Hot Pot (or Tofu Hot Pot if you are not an eggplant fan) is A COMBO TO DIE FOR. Seriously, dip the roast duck into the hot pot sauce and mama mia - what a flavour delight. I religiously get these two dishes with rice every single time I go and have never been disappointed. Always delicious, quick meal preparation times, and lovely staff.

Incredibly varied menu and everything we tried was delicious :) Update: with the renovation and menu change, prices have gone up, but the quality is still good, and the noodle soups have improved. Update 2: The prices are still up, but the noodle soups are kinda light on vegetables and they compare poorly now to Au Lac down the road for similar prices :( although the variety is still good, and I'd recommend the non-noodle mains.

Delicious & great service! Love this vegan gem in Canberra's north. Since March we've gotten take away monthly and loved every dish! We eat early so I order on opening (5pm) and always can collect within 20 minutes! Plus we get 10% off for a big order, and free veggie crackers! My 3 year old's favourite dish is the roast pork, I loooove the satay sticks, my partner loves the ginger chicken. Also! Utopia just excels in all it's soups - Duck Yellow Noodle Soup is an absolute fixture of any order we place!

I'm updating this review a couple of weeks after I first left it to add some follow up details. My partner and I got married this morning. We knew we wanted to celebrate at Utopia because it's one of our favourite places in Canberra (it was also the location of our first dinner date). Our dinner this evening was truly wonderful. The food was fantastic (it always is) and the staff put out flowers and folded our napkins into lotus flowers. It was a great way to cap off a perfect day. Thanks guys!!!

Fantastic vegan food. Authentic Mongolian lamb that tastes like the real thing and delicious noodle soups like Pho. My favourite is the Royal Spicy noodle soup. Very attentive friendly service and we keep going back again and again. Highly recommend!

The prices have increased since the name change and renovations and my most recent meal was a lacking a little flavour - but this coupd be because i made it gf and the original sauce was not able to be used. Utopia is excellent at catering for gf. I highly recommend the spring rolls! Great service too and they have a variety of discounts throughout the week. I would've given 5 stars prior to price change but perhaps I'll need to reconsider my rating as It's still my go-to vegan food in Canberra!

Food was really good. Service was alright. We were brought an extra entree that we didn't order. When we said we didn't order it, the waitress took a step back and scoffed at us, as though we were lying. It was meant for another table. Mistakes happen, but the attitude was unnecessary. Especially when it was her mistake.

Delicious vegan food at great prices. I thought Au lac was cheap but this is about $4 on average cheaper per meal and the same quality. The only thing Au lac's got that this doesn't are freshly made drinks, but Kingsland has different meal choices. All the menu items are delicious, but I wouldn't recommend the cupcakes. The gluten free one I had was incredibly dry and tasteless.

Kingsland was my first Vegan Restaurant and it’s still my favourite. The prices of the food are not over charged unlike Aulac. The serving size of all meals are very fair and generous. The staff are very helpful and your never waiting for food, the service is quick with a nice environment. Take a new vegan or non vegans here. The food is fanatic! Menu has photos so you can see what your ordering.

Delicious food at give-away prices! One of my favourite places in Canberra. The trade-off to the bargain prices is the establishment is simple and that the table service is average. If you don't like that - get take-aways. The food is well-worth it.

Traveled from the tuggeranong region to try this place out as it is the only fully vegan restaurant in Canberra (to my knowledge) . The drive was well worth it, the staff were extremely friendly and inviting and the food was served to us fairly quickly, it could not have been better, everything tasted incredible, the flavors were so diverse and authentic and the options were endless. Even my family (all meat eaters) were satisfied. Not to mention how affordable everything was. Also really recommend the desserts. Looking forward to coming there more often.

The food was absolutely amazing! The Mongolian sizzling mock lamb was so delicious, as were the eggplant fritters. I arrived in Canberra today and stumbled across this gem; and I happen to be vegetarian but this place is completely vegan! Very impressed and I will definitely be back to try more dishes as I was by myself and they made me feel very comfortable as well.

This eatery is an institution and a treat for vegans, I am not a vegan but love their food. I have been there many a times and could never say anything bad about the food, but service on the other hand is a whole different story. Their serving staff are usually pretty inexperienced and often don't speak English well, so communication with them is often challenging. I would highly recommend the place for their food ... go there to enjoy the good.

Delicious food but completely incompetent service. Our order was not taken until 50 minutes after we had arrived, and even that required prompting. We were a big group, but the delays were longer than reasonable. Most of the food then arrived quickly enough, but in almost random order. Some dishes were delivered to the table behind us, an entree was served after the mains, and two empty rice containers were served to us. One main was served to another table and not even replaced. The restaurant also ran out of quite a few dishes, which is fine. But then they ran out of rice. Rice. Pro tip, don't run out of rice. And if you do, send a waiter to Woolworths to buy some more. Really delicious food, though. If you've got an entire evening to spare, give it a try.

Great selection of veg fare on offer if you make your way out to Kingsland. The roast duck is the staple go to dish and is delicious. Don't be fooled by the average decor which isn't great and looks run down, the food is top notch and will not disappoint.

Kingsland is responsible for giving me my best vegan dining experience in Canberra. We started our meal with Sheng Cai Bao and the Crispy Bean Curd "Goose". The friendly staff kept our pot full of complimentary Jasmine Tea while we dined on "Beef" in Black Bean Sauce, Monk's Garden and Sweet and Sour "Pork". Tucked away in the corner of the Courtyard in Dickson's restaurant strip, Kingsland's is a definite must for vegans.
