Wow! Best Chinese I have ever tried! A friend of mine recommended this place yesterday and I was amazed by the food and the quality of service here. The atmosphere here was also fantastic. Must try the salt and pepper prawn and eggplant dishes! This is my new favourite place!

What a lovely experience! What a lovely location nestled on the Hobart waterfront. We were welcomed at the door by a lovely lady who showed us to our table and bought us a menu. We went on a Sunday night, there was only two other couples and ourselves in the restaurant. Nice music in the background, not over powering like other Chinese restaurants. We ordered soup followed by 2 mains and rice to share. The food was possibly the best Chinese food we have eaten. Did not taste like standard out of a bottle sauces. We did not go home feeling thirsty like you would expect after most Chinese food. Expect to pay about $45 per person and expect to feel you received real value for money. We will be back! Very clean restaurant and toilet!

Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Hobart. Really love the S&P prawns and sesame beef. Flavor is well balanced also well portioned and just the right size. Friendly service. Good staff. Would recommend!

Was there for my birthday with my wife. The owner is certainly on top of service, food and knowledgeable in authentic Chinese cuisine. Strongly recommend the fried rice and sesame beef. Will be back!

Standard type Chinese restaurant. Adds an option near some fine dining restaurants, but nothing special at all. In fact overpriced and there are much better dining options around the area. Singapore Noodles had very little prawn, pork or vegetables. The Seafood Hot and Sour soup was the only highlight. No photos taken.

Overall, I had a good experience tonight with my family at AWU restaurant. Food was clean and good quality. However, may be I come from sydney, the price here is about 40% more than the ones I have back in sydney, I assume the cost of food in tassie is more expensive. The portion of food is not enough for the price I guess, but staff are very friendly. Overall, it’s a good restaurant in Tasmania. Thks for the food tonight!

Been coming here once or twice a year for special occasions for many years now. Food quality and staff service is always consistently superb.

Excellent menu, wide range of both food and drinks. Had an excellent wine from here, it may have been German, I think it was Italian. Definitely Western European and in any case, it was delightful. Even during the peak periods, the wait time on all courses, even for a large group, is short. The staff are attentive, very friendly, polite and helpful, all round excellent service. The deep fried milk is unbelievably perfect. Even if you don't like deep fried food, even if you don't like dessert, eat it. It's beautiful. You'll fall in love. You're welcome.

Our party of 4 attended this restaurant tonight & besides having the best assortment of food we also had the most fun with Amber, who was absolutely friendly, funny, efficient & fun to have as our food service attendant. All other staff were very good also but Amber did a great job of making us feel welcome. Great job guys. We’ll be back.

The food was pleasant but servings were small. The banquet choices were inadequate and they need to serve steamed rice in a bulk amount rather than individual servings. Was charged a 10% surcharge for Saturday night when it was not a public holiday.

Wow! We saw this tiny little chinese restaurant from Davey St and thought, lets give it a go. Best. Decision. EVER! Man I'm going to want to fly from Melbourne almost every weekend to eat here again! I had the fried dumplings in the chef's homemade soy sauce.... amazing! The duck puffs.... amazing! Then the mains, singapore noodles and the crispy skin fried duck. Oh my! Just on an absolute food high! A definite must! :D
