Great little restaurant, doing it tough during the covid times. The water was a great bloke and very friendly and helpful. Good food at a good price.

Great restaurant. They have many delicious options and found the pizza base exceptional. Finished three capes and after eating dehydration meals, this was the best food with all we wanted.

Week nights local beers and pizzas are half price. We had the spicy prawn pizza (very spicy, perfect crust was probably spun in the air properly, delicious, best in Hobart), salt n pepper calamari ( best we have tasted), broccolini with almonds and fetta ( superb - fetta was of excellent quality as you might get in Athens) and a date and ginger pudding with ice cream which was also excellent with a real sprig of young fresh mint to eat with it and plate dusted with chocolate/cinnamon. We went at 5:15 on a Wednesday for an after-work dinner and will definitely go back.

Wonderful atmosphere with nice music and fireplaces. The girl working on the floor is a magician, looking after tables and all the fireplaces by herself! The food is veeeeeery nice, tasty and filling, warm and avarage prize! Def reccomended and a come back!!!!!!

I had my launch party for my business here last year and have visited the place several times. I must say that this place never fails to amaze me. The chef Jay is extremely passionate about his food and I have grown fond of this place . The beautiful fireplace and aesthetics also make the atmosphere amazing. Decided to try this little 'tucked away' eatery on the way home from work. Making a reservation was simple and easy online for a basic reservation for four. The food was delicious! Those crispy wings were the best I've eaten from an eatery in a while, the kids loved the pizza and chicken nuggets. The hubby demolished his pizza quickly, yet came away full and satisfied. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The 'open fireplace' room added to the ambience and we will be returning again....and again, and again!

Couldn't say a bad thing. Excellent quality of food. Fine dining quality at humble prices. Pizza dough was prefect, soft and fluffy. Mac and cheese was simple but delicious and not too rich. Hearth was a revelation. We wanted an intimate dinner for eight with simple fresh food and warmth on a cold winter's night in Hobart. We couldn't have been more delighted with every aspect of our dining experience.We had a room to ourselves, cosy and homely The service, especially, was outstanding : unobtrusive, attentive, perceptive - very attuned to what we all wanted, thanks to our waitress The food was excellent. We ordered four pizzas between eight to start and they were perfect, non-greasy, thin- crusted, fresh-tasting.The wines were fine, with a good selection of Tasmanian wines. The small plates, one each, were all fantastic and the price for the entire meal was very reasonable. We all want to return!

Amazing food. Pizza with perfect traditional Italian crust and quality share plates. This is a very enjoyable gourmet style meal from quality ingredients. Looks like a home, but walk right in for a very warm welcome and atmosphere. Fantastic wine selection. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly empty for a place that does great food. We have not had a pizza there, but shared arancini and blue cheese cauliflower to start, and it was beautiful. My wife had the Mediterranean styled fish of the day and I had the peri peri chicken. Both had great flavours. On to desert where we shared a deconstructed cheese cake which was beautiful. This was our second time here and the second time with a great meal. The drinks list was nice too

Great friendly service. Great atmosphere and the meals were served quickly. We had the beer battered oysters and the lamb and pork pizzas, all delicious. Very nice choice of wines and beers. Well worth a look.

I was a bit concerned with what kind of place we'd wandered into when we arrived as we were the only diners and the FOH staff member was wearing activewear. The food was quite good - garlic cheese sticks were lovely, the arancini was nice however the risotto was a bit wetter than expected. I was quite bemused when asked if we'd like ice for our byo white wine, I said yes expecting an ice bucket; I was surprised by the arrival of a glass of ice cubes and a spoon. Not somewhere I'll go back to at this stage, I'm afraid.

The meat was beautifully done but could have been lifted further with a good jus, the vegetables were nothing special. The deserts were sub par. There's a reasonable selection of local wines but with a hefty mark up on cellar door prices. The staff are freindly and efficient, but the restaurant itself looks like it's been lacking in TLC for a while. For the price I would have expected a far better experience.

Sensational service and great value, food was innovative and delicious. Louis, was able to fit us in on walk up on a fully booked night as we were only in Hobart that night. Made us feel valued and served us with a smile. Will go again without hesitation. Some Melbourne Restaurants could learn alot from this AGFG one hatted Restaurant.

V v tasty entree's, the pork shoulder and macaroni was the best we've had. Pizza was full of flavour and the gluten free base was perfect. Thanks for the hospitality. We flew down from Melbs and we chose Hearth because of the reviews - no surprises here, our fav Hobart experience.

Wonderful food , never taste such special texture of the short rib of cape grim angus beef. Nice environment and good atmosphere for 2 ppl. We tried the 50 g cheese from TAS with apple raisin jam , candied wainuts and toasted baguette for the dessert. It s pretty good as well.
