Heard friends talking about this place many times, and able to visit this place recently. Love the food (we ordered steak and ribs and some drinks) - the size was generous as well. Try to come nit during rush hour since the parking space is limited.

June 2021. The Hogs Breath Cafe is an old school relic of the 90's dining era. With its eclectic collection of random paraphernalia it feels like a fake American Road House. Meals are a little on the pricier side for what you receive, and I have absolutely no idea why curly fries are still a thing. Non alcoholic "cocktails" were overpriced and tasteless. Staff were all friendly, meals were ok, but I won't be rushing back.

Fast service, very friendly. I have always loved the barn styled quirkiness of Hog's Breath. It's loud but with so much space you don't have to stress about being packed in.

Hadn’t been for at least 20 years, but had been booked for family function. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu choices, my burger was really good and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, a little pricey for what they were but didn’t leave hungry! Still not a fan of the curly fries they are so famous for. Stand out for our table was the young waitress “Molly”, she personalised the service and nothing was too much trouble. A fun place for a larger group, will be back to try the cocktails 😊

the food was great!! and the staff were the sweetest. there was a very kind lady who served us named ‘Anu’. We accidentally made a mistake in our order, and the staffs were really fast to solve the issue in the nicest way possible. Anu honestly made my entire day, she’s one of the kindest people i met. Ordered a burger for lunch looked great on picture almost $20 when they brought it out to me it hardly had any meat salad it looked exactly like a flat small cheese burger the garlic sauce was bland didn't taste normal very disappointed if i wanted a cheese burger would have went to maccas and paid way less than that not happy . This is what’s left on my plate after 10 minutes of enjoying my prime rib steak with pork ribs. As expected, the prime rib steak is an absolute delight the meat is so tender and it just melts in my mouth. I requested for an american cheese sauce for my steak and I loved it. The pork ribs is also tender, the meat just fell of the bone and it is a great combination for a wonderful dinner. I ordered the Aussie mango and passionfruit mess for dessert and I can’t wait to taste it with a cappuccino coffee.

I really enjoyed it. Delicious garlic bread for entrée. Curly fries are always nice and crispy. I had a nice piece of steak that was cooked to perfection. The best bit was the Byron Bay chilli sauce, it was delicious and I had it all.

Lovely staff and excellent service. I went there with friends and it is good place to catch up. Enjoying cocktails and pear cider. Starting with salami plater and main dishes with steak medium rare cook of course, perfect tasfy pork ribs with hog tail fries. Really had a good time and highly recommend. I dont think it is cheap in term of price.

The place needs a bit of a cleaning, sticky floors and toilets were pretty grotty. It hasn't got any worse over the past few years but over all it's nowhere near the standard it was 20 years ago

My husband and I have dined in quite a lot over the years and have always had an amazing experience, and would have to consider this our favourite restaurant to dine out. Lately, we've been regularly using Uber Eats instead and we're just as impressed. Our previous orders have always been exactly as we've wanted it, despite customising various things in our order notes. Last time we ordered, there was no chicken added to the Caesar salad as requested. After calling to let them know, a young man named Magneto (sorry if I spelled it wrong) apologised and said to let them know when we were placing another order and he would make sure that the chicken was included. When we ordered again, Magneto answered the call, and knew exactly what to do. When the order arrived, not only was the extra chicken included, but they also threw in another complete meal, free of charge! We can't recommend them highly enough for their amazing food and even better customer service. Compliments to Magneto, the chefs and all the Hobart Hog's staff for running such a tight ship!

I went with my family 40 years ago. The situation was bad at the time, but we think they will have a second chance. My Parmesan cheese is fried with dry chili sauce. Cutting is a problem. A plate of French fries when my potatoes are undercoated. My son’s burger is cold fried without sauce. My wife also ate a vegan burger. The waiter said that all the tickets at the table were full, but the old family sitting next to me did not eat while everyone was eating. A family member asked for chips, steak and salad, but they got nothing. My mother-in-law wants a pig. Everyone accepted his order, but after 15 minutes, the sender came back and said that FORTNIGHT pigs had been used up before, but the order was still valid. We ordered more than a dozen kinds of food, and more than 1/2 of them were damaged or lost. The whole restaurant is also very dark. Sadly, because the restaurant is so good, I go there for dinner with friends every week. But more importantly...

This place is amazing. We had dinner here on our 3rd anniversary. We ordered ribeye steak and the ribs, the portion was huge. We also ordered the mud cake and requested to write "happy anniversary" on it. Henry (staff) helped us to realise it even though on the last minute. Great service and hospitality from him. I really like Hog's Breath. Sometimes the steak is phenomenal and other times, unfortunately not so phenomenal. I guess that's to be expected for any chain restaurant. I also enjoy the hogstail fries. My wife and I have been to this outlet sooo many times since it opened so many years ago (I can't remember exactly how long ago). The atmosphere is always good. Just people enjoying a steak and a couple of beverages. Though it can be a bit loud in the restaurant space sometimes, it is still always a good place to go for a feed. It's also great for friend or family groups. The menu has evolved a bit over the years but has never offended or disappointed. They usually add to the menu more so than remove from. Even when they did remove my favorite steak (the El Grande Prime Rib), they still made it up for me on request. I'm happy with that!

I really enjoyed Hogs Breath Hobart! Been to heaps all over and this one was the best ever! Beats all other grill joints in Sydney too. Parking was very very limited. Came as a young family of four and order two serves of their prime rib steak. Asked for medium and it turned out to be perfection! Whoever was cooking that night knew their steak! The salad with the meal was delicious! Kids steak was cook really soft and smokey too. Waiter who served us was a very kind and helpful lad too.

Was a little on the pricey side for their signature steak but was delicious. The steak was inconsistent in it’s ‘doneness’ but the parts that were medium rare was AMAZING, but the parts that were well-done was.... not so. Waiting time was abit long, so do take note if you are hungry.

Excellent customer service, and Delicious food I ordered the slow cooked Lamb($25.00) But I didn't like the seating arrangements, our booking was booked for Saturday night (19th) January at 5pm for 8 people, instead of seating together at 1 large Table, we we're seperated by a wooden Beam down the centre of the tables. The seats were wooden and very hard , which made it uncomfortable all evening to sit there? They at least should put padding on the seats.
