Comments of Sapa Rose
S. L.
Had the rice vermicelli combination with lemongrass beef and spring rolls.
A little more beef would have been better. Spring roll was ok but need more meat and prawn filling. Service was polite but a little slow. A little on the expensive side.
D. C.
Dishes were flavourful but tended to be overly sweet. Serving portions were generous. Service was friendly, but needed improvement - didn't provide a drinks menu, then required a reminder to receive our ordered drinks, as well as prompting for the mains, before ending the night being overcharged - which was rectified.

Got recommended this restaurant by my Vietnamese aunt and I thought the food was lovely. Not many Sydney Vietnamese restaurants serve banh xeo or bo la lot so I really enjoyed getting to have those dishes and they were cooked well and tasted authentic
K. T.
Atmosphere was really nice. Staff accommodating when I wanted to change my order 15 mins later. The squid was too bland. We ordered extra hot for the chicken and lemongrass and the chicken was mild. Sizzling pepper beef was nice. Wife enjoyed stealing beef from plate.
L. F.
Popular Vietnamese restaurant in Hobart city centre. Extensive menu for food and small but adequate wine list. I chose the Sizzling beef with cashews and vegetables. Very tasty but there was not a lot of cashews to speak of and more veg than beef but this is common in Vietnamese food. the Craigie Knowe Rose went very well with this.
S. O.
Absolutely loved the food here.
Their Saigon Pancakes are incredibly delicious and a must have with your meal.
There was limited options for me as a Coeliac but definitely enough to choose from.
The cashew squid (pictured) was fantastic. The squid cooked to perfection.
Highly recommend dining here for authentic and extremely tasty Vietnamese food
J. N.
A good place to try Vietnamese. The dishes take a bit long to be served. But the people working there is lovely!
E. B.
Dined with my daughter. Meals lovely but we were rushed for time. Good service - very busy.
B. C.
Made booking online but they couldn't find it. They very quickly found us a table. This is the second time in about a month I've eaten here. Not sure if last night was just a bit of. Food was OK, much nicer last time, service was also a bit slow this time, but as in the past, very friendly. If definitely come back.
D. W.
Beautiful tasty meals, quick service in a warm atmosphere and there is parking out the front, unmetered after 6pm.
J. G.
Food great. Staff easy to deal with and helpful. Food has traditional flavours. Plates plentiful. Bit cold in side but it was a cold snap.
G.
Very happy with the lemongrass chicken, service was friendly although could be slightly improved and the downstairs was very cold at 6pm on a Saturday which was unusual - and I’m not someone who feels the cold that easily. All in all I would return and happily try more.
N. T.
Good beef pho and fried wontons. Love the meatballs... nice bite and chew. Wish there was more in the pho.
M. H.
Lovely restaurant, great food, nice and friendly staff with a very reasonable price. All five stars!

Great food, nice drinks and an awesome atmosphere
Y. N.
Really nice Vietnamese taste and the staff are very friendly. My favourite are Saigon Pancake and Chicken Curry! 👍
M. O.
Good food with a simple lunch menu that is varied on day of the week. Love their soups (pho) and very nice spring rolls too.
P. C.
Food is nice. Service slow and meals not served at same time. I had to wait another 5 minutes for my meal while my friend ate hers. It was only the two of us on the table so really no reason gor our meals not to come out together.
O. P.
By far the best Viet food I've had in Tassie. Menu had a real mix of dishes that seemed very traditional and authentic as well as some newer, innovative delicacies. Service is not only quick and responsive but also very friendly and welcoming.
Big recommendation, defs worth a visit when in Hobart, will be back.
A. D.
This place is a real find - delicious food and friendly service. The mains were to DIE for - we had the Shaking beef and Chilli and lemongrass chicken with the special fried rice. Everything was delectable, with plenty of sauce.
The downsides included the entrees; the chicken wings were tasty but tiny, and the Vietnamese rolls were fresh but severely lacking in meat. The bathroom could use a good scrub and a fresh coat of paint.
Also, there was NO creme caramel - sad face :(
Would definitely return, though and happy to recommend.

Beautiful food, excellent service
W.
Good all around. The strength of chilli, garlic, lemongrass, etc., could be increased, yet flavours were good, service friendly and well priced.
M. D.
My colleagues and I hoped in for a dinner. Absolutely enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Staff are friendly with quintessential services.
A must-try in Hobart.
R. W.
The saigon pancake and rice vermicelli combination were delicious. The service was friendly and fast. I am looking forward to going back again.
K. M.
Great service yummy food we will be back
M. M.
Great service lots of Gluten free entrees and a few mains .$7 dollar corkage is a bonus as well..the only thing slightly negative is they could have more main s gf but very tasty food . Will be going back again
J. K. K.
Delightful food, great service.
S. M.
Best Vietnamese food ever! Service was perfect, very attentive without being obtrusive. Atmosphere perfect. Will go back again and highly recommend. 100%!
E. L.
Delicious Vietnamese food served in sufficiently big portions. Service is good. No complaints.
Food : 8/10

Service: 7/10
B. J.
Loved the food! Amazing flavours. Just a little slow on the service and slightly overpriced but probably the best Vietnamese I've had in Hobart.
(. N. B. P.
Amazing food and great customer service!!!
We had X.O scallop with Fried Rice which were really tasty and fresh!!!
Highly recommend.
N. P.
The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and amazing food. We've come many times and never left disappointed. Definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant in Hobart!
J. M.
The entrees were great, though the mains were not as great. The special ‘soft shell crab’ had a bit of a fishy after taste. Service was a little mediocre, and food slightly slower than I would have liked.
D. K.
Amazing service and amazing food. Great prices and variety and we didn't have to wait long!
D. K.
Was very impressed with the pork and prawn soup. The mix of Chinese and Vietnamese options seem to contradict each other as Vietnamese food is generally quite fresh opposed to the braised style Chinese dishes.
V. C.
Food was quite good. Service, while very friendly and smiling, was very slow and menu is overpriced.
M. B.
This is a really wonderful place. The food, service and setting are all lovely. Everything was fresh, tasty. A firm favourite.
m. p.
This place is amazing! Food was delicious and customer service and attention great. I spent there Easter Sunday with my family. I really recommend it if you want a wonderful experience.
D. S.

J. R. M.
Great place, ate alone ...sizzling tofu
Yum
Use entertainment book and received a great discount
This place has a relaxed time frame for serving food. If you're in a hurry tell them...otherwise you will be frustrated
Priced well
Quality ...excellent

Good food. Had to wait for quite a while (Saturday) but the staff told us already at the beginning that the main course would take a while. Nice ambiente.
S. F.
Incredible quality of food and service. The staff were friendly and accommodating to our dietary needs, these guys put a lot of the mainland establishments to shame. Go here.
B. H.
Delicious food and friendly service. Most recommended Vietnamese eatery in Hobart!
N. W.
The food was okay (in comparision to sydney) The menu was too extensive for my liking. The meats were a bbq sauced style which was not what I was expecting. The staff were polite and attentive but the food was a bit on the expensive side.
N. F.
Absolutely lovely service, friendly staff, and delicious food. A must visit for any local, or visitor.
G. F.
Great service & their dishes were packed with flavor!
Highly recommend this little gem!
s. g.
Very good food and very friendly staff! The only let down was the waiting time for our meal.
E. L.

B. k.
Nice cosy place to have lunch and dinner. Tho the price is bit high. The staff are very good. But the only minus point of this restaurant is unisex washroom.
M. H.
Good food and service, restaurant is a little small and gets noisy.
R. J.
We ordered beef, chicken, pork, duck, fish, and squid. All of them are nice!
T. C.
Very busy the night we ordered and the delivery took a while. The manager responded promptly and refunded us because of that afterwards.
C. J.
Beautiful meal!! Could not fault our selection. Beautiful crisp Saigon pancake and the sizzling duck is amazing.

(Translated) This restaurant has the word "Sapa", "Sapa" is a city in northern Vietnam, and the Chinese name is Shalong.
The soup base of prawn and pork noodles has the flavor of Chinatown. It is sweet and strange, but fortunately, the ingredients are fresh and overall it is good.
The diced beef tenderloin is very delicious and suffocating. The chef should be Chinese.
Cane shrimp is similar to what you eat in Hong Kong.
The two have not eaten fried food for a long time, so they added a fried kale. The taste is obviously adjusted to suit the taste of the locals, and a lot of oyster sauce was added.
Although Vietnam is 90,000 miles away from Australia, because of the excellent ingredients, this shop's Vietnamese cuisine is well-textured and quite standard.
(Original)
