The only Indian/Malaysian restaurant worth the time! We are always satisfied with the meals, never left hungry. When we order medium spice it is actually spicey! Our usual order is the Chicken Kondattam, Tikka Masala, plain rice and a plain roti. The chicken is very good quality. It is always juicy and they never use those small, dry chunks of chicken breast like other restaurants do. 10/10

This unassuming place is worth trying out! The staff are super friendly and the place is comfy on a warm day. Don’t be fooled by the downbeat decor - The food is great! As someone from Penang who is by default very sceptical of roti canai in Australia, this place exceeded my expectations. Be sure to try their range of roti. Next time we would like to try their dosa too - if only I had a bottomless stomach! Also, unlike many places where you’re made to feel as though you have to rush through your meal, then rush off to clear the table, this spot is really homely because you can eat slowly and digest your food properly. A rarity in these times!

Very good customer service and delicious food. Mr. Ansari has been particularly very helpful and went out of his way to deliver the food in half the time they take for home delivery. They have maintained the consistency in taste over the years and their Suqaar Pasta is our family favourite even though there are other items on their menu that they excel in too.

I ate here once. However I have ordered from there more than 15 times now in a year. Goat kodattam, goat rendang are outstanding, so is there biriyani. The fact that it has a Malaysian touch makes it one of the best fusion Indian food. I highly recommend Bilal. The food overall is very good. Found this Indian food experience and been back twice in the last week. We are visitors to Melbourne but have already spoken to locals re this place. The staff are courteous even tho very busy. People line up to get in for a meal but it is worth it. Great food at very reasonable prices. You not be disappointed in visiting here as it is very authentic. Superb multi cuisine restaurant on sydney road the staff is really good they well greeted us.Their menu have huge number of Indian, singapore and malaysian varieties which are reasonably priced, out of which we ordered chicken mandi and mutton haleem served with salad and somali chilli they are very delicious and mouth watering we had a great time at this place with great food. Great Indian food. Not really a fine dine restaurant atmosphere. Tables and are fidgety. If you don't care about the atmosphere than food, it's a great place for you. You can enjoy some yummy Indian dishes there. Their chicken biryani was really good, chicken kondattam is to die for so far one of the best indian curry, Dosa and chatny was nice to and menu card was very colourful and easy to segregate different dishes and they should improve fried rice, haleem, noodles and most importantly need to change to look of interior and mainly the exterior look signage was nothing like restaurants badly need to change it to restaurant look .

We really enjoy the food here though unfortunately it's not worth the wait. The service was so slow. We waited bang on 30 minutes for a meal for two people. I suppose that wasn't too bad after waiting almost 15 to be served in a restaurant with only three sets of people. Not going back in our case - there's too much good stuff elsewhere.

We've been coming to Bilal for about a year - groups from 2 people to 18! The food is delicious, South Indian cuisine. The service is friendly and courteous. We've been watching this small business grow over the last year and it is getting fuller and better furnished all the time. Try the butter chicken and if you're feeling jaded, try the butter chicken Spicy! it will renew your love for the dish! Other great dishes include the beef pepper fry, lamb korma, beef vindaloo and beef rendang. The goat curries are also the best goat I've had. The roti, dosa and lassi are always delicious and come in many flavours. Our very best appreciation for the 7 days a week trading, with the kitchen open until 10 or 10.30pm - even on sundays. pro-tip: come to Bilal before heading out to Aeon nightclub on Saturday night!
