Return visit for late supper. This restaurant open until late night which suit to our need and lifestyle. The place is neat and clean tho it depends on customer high turnover. It has clean toilet for both gender. We ordered flat noodle with egg soup and prawn dumpling, accompanied with hot chinese tea. It was nice experience. Definitely recommended.

Found this eatery in Glen Waverley which serves good roast meat. We tried their roast duck and roast pork which served with white rice were simply delicious. I don't mind going there again to try their in-house speciality food. I gave only 4 stars for my rating because I was a little annoy when the staff at this place spoke loudly among themselves which kind of affecting the nice amber. Wish they could have tone down their volume.

Firstly this review is not about dining in, but takeout. Throughout the process of sorting out the order, the payment and working through difficulties, China Bar Glen Waverley handled everything exceptionally. Specifically Ryan was an immense help and went above and beyond to make sure everything suited our needs. The service was amazing and we were kept updated if anything arose. The food itself was great. All our guests complimented the taste. For the number of servings we ordered, the quality remained consistent. The kitchen did a great job! Would definitely recommend China Bar Glen Waverley to anyone hosting a party and looking for takeout dim sum. All in all, the service was excellent and the food was very good. Ryan was a great help and made it very smooth. Highly recommend to anyone looking for takeaway catering.

Went here after a let down at another Chinese restaurant. They had covered outdoor seating. The food arrived real fast. Unlike some other places, they actually had all dishes on the menu. We had a very satisfying meal, for a very reasonable price (and had food leftover to takeaway as well). The Hainanese chicken rice was excellent, as was the satay chicken skewers and well pretty much all the dishes.

Tried out China Bar in Glen Waverley for the first time. Their Char Siew, Roast Duck and Siew Yuk are good and better than most places. Will definitely go again. The wantan dumplings are good although I find the noodles to good but not stellar. The staff were very friendly and helpful to us.

I remember this place 10 years ago when I was in Uni. It was like a go to place for a quick night snack which ended up being a big meal. 10 years down the line, with a lots modern upgrades, this place is just absolutely amazing. The food is very much similar to what I remember it from 10 years ago and very quick service. Staff is friendly and very quick. Love the food. This place is open till late on most days. Best of the best China Bar. We usually get take away with perfect food most of the time. Staff is very paying attention when i ordered through Uber a few times during lockdown. I got trouble with the drive and had to order twice, they called me to double check whether if the food got any problem. Stumbled over this place looking for something quick for lunch that caters for our Asian cravings and my son’s more Aussie taste. This place had everything we were after. Cheap, fast, high quality authentic Chinese food. Everything about the food here is spot on, I would rate it 10/10. The only aspects that bother me are that the staff can be pretty snappy with customers, probably because they're overworked sometimes, or maybe they just have an attitude. Also, the restaurant isn't the cleanliest, although it isn't awfully messy/dirty either. From what I saw the kitchens were fairly clean though. Lastly, cash only. Kind of rude at this point, when every other store on Kingsway accepts card. They should really implement a 'card minimum amount' at least...

The food is very good but they have no idea about serving drinks, then entree and then main course. They serve whatever is ready in no particular order. Someone may have their food and others wait for 15 minutes if it takes longer to cook. I got my beer after my main course and my entree last.

China bar used to be a go to for late night food shenanigans. The duck on rice was a favourite. This visit I was not impressed. The serving size changed, the rice was not cooked properly. The prices have increased and the quality decreased.

I love coming to china bar in Glen for my chinese food cravings at 12am. I LOVE that they are open super late! sometimes after a night out, instead of grabbing a kebab, we just come here instead to eat! Foods always been fresh and super quick service! the price point is amazing, cant complain. Only giving three stars because sometimes, staffs gotten my order wrong when its been super busy. The toilets can also use a bit of clean. One time I was seated on the tablet right next to the toilets and it was annoying dealing with people going in and out especially the stench from the door opening and closing. There is a surcharge on payment after midnight i think (fair enough) and again no split bills.

I'm updating my previous review and adding a star because there's a very noticeable improvement since the new manager took over. It's a more friendly environment and the service is better than before too.

I don't like the alkaline taste in the noodle so I think the wonton noodle soup is great. I came here to eat it when I finished work. Sadly it has 1% charge for orders after 12 midnight. The avocado smoothie taste really plain and I can barely taste the avocado flavour.

Staff and service was great, food is slightly different to other China Bar restaurant but still delicious, price is reasonable than they charge you when you pay at the end if you use your card, which other China Bar restaurant have not charged me before and unfortunately this restaurant did not serve their Chinese Tea straight up like other restaurants, you have to buy it...Bathroom could do with a clean and fix up what is required in there for safety reasons. Overall food and staff are good, parking can be a nightmare though.....Glen Waverley restaurant

My husband thought the laksa was good but I wasn't too excited about my Sichuan chicken dish. I should have clarified whether it was sweet or not. I really wanted something really spicy and full of Sichuan peppers but what I got was really sweet and not that spicy. Also the chicken had a really soft, undercooked texture, jelly like, though it was cooked. I only had this one dish (and you might think it is delicious) and the other dishes looked very nice. So your experience may be alot more positive than mine. The menu is varied so I would certainly go back and try something different. The barbecued meats and duck looked delectable so maybe next time I will try that. Also the staff were very nice. Bear in mind, it is minimum spend of $30 for the eftpos.

Authentic, decent quality South-East Asian food with smatterings of Hong Kong cuisine. A little pricey by Asian standards but fairly average Australia wise. Its Forte is availability at late hours of the night, and speed of food served with fairly attentive service, albeit in rather cramped table and movement spaces. 3.5 stars would be a better score, but for lack of decent competition at this price point, I'll give it 4 stars.

There is a lot of competition in Glen Waverley ... so every restaurant needs to be great to stand out. China Bar was just OK. Service was pretty basic and food was OK. Curry laksa was nice ... but have had better at other restaurants close by. Fit out nees a bit of a spruce up.

Was ok-ish. Go here on a regular basis but tonight was pretty bad in comparison. Banana smoothie is fake banana powder - revoltingly artificial and sweet. This is not emphasised on the menu. We ordered crispy noodles with the pork but got soup noodles instead. Broccolini with sauce was cold and stingy on the cashews. Presentation of food was just sad - food dumped on a plate. It's got everything you need in cuisine from a Hong Kong tea house and a Malaysian eatery. Very attentive and courteous staff. I love their slogan, "Always there for you." The bad: additional 10% surcharge after 10pm and desserts are not their speciality. 3 out of 5 stars

Never have i experienced anything like what i have at china bar. The closest ive ever been to seeing the divine light of a power unbound to our mortal existence was for a breif moment 6 mouthfulls deep into a glorious plate of BBQ pork on rice, i felt my spirit rise from the chair above the table my eyes could see through space and time. If youre looking for a meal that will replace all your dietry needs with sweet heavenly steamed rice, fresh bok choi tended to with the care of a godess, pork marinated and cooked with culinary skills older than the masamune itself. A meal that will rip apart your marriage , keep you awake at night for weeks haunting your every movement when your not feasting on it then 306a is what you need. The service is exquisite, treated like a king feasting on the dawn of a new born son. Their smiles and attitudes are refreshing like the taste of the dew from a cactus after wondering the desert for a million years. The chefs craft dishes with the elegence of a butterfly but season like the mightiest bee. I beckon onto any human ready to cross over into a realm where pain and pleasure are indivisible to go and ented the China Bar and forever be entranced, forever be enlightened and forever pledge your soul to flavour.
