Yesterday we celebrated my mum's 90th Birthday in the function room at Cornerstone Pizzeria in Coburg. Everything was absolutely spot on, The food was amazing, very generous sizes, everything came out at the right time. We were looked after by Tony and he had everything down pat. All our guests commented about the wonderful room we were in & of course the fabulous food. Thank you again for making this special occasion such a memorable one for all of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Perfect local spot. Plenty of parking around and take bookings. Food: delicious, tasty, well presented, big portions. All food comes out quick and hot, definitely no complaints. The calamari is a 10/10. The chocolate brownie on the dessert menu is a 100/10. So delicious. Venue: a big space with dimmed lighting. Giving a great ambiance and chilled vibe. Big outdoor heated area which is great. Service: fantastic, very attentive and always at hand. This restaurant comes highly recommended.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and I'm glad I did. We were seated, order taken and food delivered veeery promptly. Food was fantastic in all aspects and I was impressed at how generous their pasta portions were. Will be back more to try their range.

There was eight of us and everyone was very happy with their meals. Really generous serves and great value. I had lovely large pillows of gnocchi with four cheeses, soft and creamy. We sat outside at front which is protected from the elements and has plenty of room. Service staff very friendly and obliging.

I really enjoyed the food at cornerstone pizzeria. The pastas were cooked on point and I would highly recommend to get the Rigatoni Funghi with chicken it was absolutely amazin, flavour was on point and it was a decent serve with enough sauce that you get to enjoy with every bite. Others on my table ordered the gnocchi and seafood pasta, while they did enjoy it and it was cooked well it did lack a bit of flavour. The Lamb pizza was delicious and couldn't get enough of it but the margherita pizza could have been better, it just felt flat and lacked flavour for something that I have had many times before and it was great every time. Customer service was exceptional and staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Food is really good, which is why it's always busy, even at 3pm in the afternoon! Best to book ahead. My favourites are the seafood dishes and desserts. Service has been inconsistent across our many visits, including one awkward (borderline offensive) service one time, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Cornerstone is our local and like the name it represents the best of fresh, handmade Italian. We tend to order the pizza (as we did lazily just recently) and it never fails. Great dough, wood fired, delicious passata on the base for rosso pizzas. The eggplant pizza is fantastic, my personal fav is the Calabrese- delicious spicy goodness.

Who would expect to find such a cosy and charming Italian restaurant in such a quiet street? Far away from the hustle and bustle of Coburg is Cornerstone Pizzeria. Perfect for any occasions, Cornerstone serves up delicious food that will leave you incredibly satisfied after. The wood-fired pizza are a must order here. Thin and light base, with crisped edges, one slice is definitely not enough. The aromatic truffle oil, the generous smattering of cheeses and of course slices after slices of prosciutto, the Pizza Bianca (available on the special) was most impressive. The Spaghetti Alle Vongole showcased amazing execution. The pasta that was cooked al dente, the punchy and bold flavours tantalised our tastebuds to no end, and the abundance of fresh clams made this a delight to eat. To help balanced out our meal, we opted for the Roquette and Pear Salad with calamari. I can’t fault any components of this salad, and the addition of calamari was a great decision on our part. The calamari was fried to perfection, and the smell was intoxicating. We ended our meal on a high with the Pistachio and Apple Calzone. Ugly delicious best describes this. Crusty on the outside, and soft and chewy inside, cut the calzone open to be greeted by oozy and creamy pistachio filling, and soft chunks of caramelised apple. Sweet, earthy and nutty, the pistachio filling is to die for. Everyone is sure to find something to their liking on the extensive menu, and do keep an eye out for the specials.

The best pizza in town! The dough is proper and the pizza receives generous home-made sauce and cheese. We tried pretty much all the menu and love the Bianche ones, specially the Funghi. The price is fair and this place is definitely a good cost for value. Although we are no longer living nearby now, we still remain as loyal customs era and usually come to Cornerstone for pick up and eating-in from time to time. Note: if you are going to pick up, we suggest you drop a call early in and drive there immediately— they are quick and competent, your pizza will be ready to pick up in 15mins!

Went in for a last minute pre-lockdown meal and this restaurant did not disappoint! Large, perfectly topped pizzas, delicious fruity mocktails and generous portion sizes - we loved every moment. Well it started good we had antipasto and pizza for starter it was good. The waitress was very good drinks where okay. Then for the main meals we waited and waited the forgotten about as so I ask when are we getting our meals told us that the was a lot of orders so finally got our meals some where okay the steak was raw the spaghetti with mussels and vongole was average. The manager offered to give as another steak or a drink but we sad no thanks so the must over book or some of the staff got no idea how to cook under pressure So I paid didn't take of the steak paid in full So my advice . Good luck when it's full next time you dine there.

Took the family to Cornerstone on mothers day. It was me and 25 family members, our first time there. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile and felt very welcomed. We were then seated on our table and once our order was taken, it all came out at the same time and it was DELICIOUS. My nephew is a very fussy eater and he couldn't get enough of the pizza. BEST PIZZA AND PASTA place we've ever been to. Can't wait to go back.

This gem of the north serves up the most delicious Italian food you could imagine. Every visit and take away order is 5 star experience. The food is amazing, generously proportioned and you can't help but over indulge. I cook and I know great food when I see it. The calamari was fresh, nicely seasoned, hot and great taste. I am particularly impressed with the desserts. I could tell there was a lot of care put into packaging delicate desserts in plastic containers and it was done very well. Never ate there before. Def would eat here again. The level of care tells me this business loves food and gives a damn about its customers!

The restaurant looks very nice with great atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I bought a chicken parmigiana, it was very average for the price unfortunately. Chicken was weirdly tough, unevenly flattened, sauce underwhelming, no ham, and sad amount of cheese. I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning as well, as I've had quite bad stomach pain shortly after and the following days.

Beautiful Italian restaurant which is hard to fault. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Last night was my first visit and I'll definitely be going back. Really relaxing atmosphere and the service was wonderful. Really pleasant staff. It has one of those frustrating menu's in which everything on the menu looks excellent so selecting what to have will always be challenging. I tried the pizza and it was one of the best pizza's I've had in many years. You couldn't fault it. Can't wait to go back and try the pasta. Pricing was pretty good. All in all a wonderful dining experience.

Fantastic food and great service. For a restaurant that was so busy it was nice to be able to get a waiter's attention straight away. A little annoyed about not being told that credit cards incur a surcharge. Just a small sign but that wasn't the end of the world and didn't ruin the night. This is my favorite Italian place of all time hands down! I went during the covid restricted times and they had arranged everything very neatly to make our experience as good as it can be during normal times. This is a large place that gets very busy. We got the bruscietta as an appetizer whcih was some slices of bread with tomato based toppings and a large chunk of bocconcini in the middle. The cheese and the bread complimented each other so very well. The entrees were a spaghetti and meatballs and a quatra carni wood fired pizza. These were enormous portions which I do honestly think you should be sharing if you're going on a date! Get some advice from their friendly staff on the cocktail menu and get yourself a brilliant day at the Cornerstone Pizzeria. Definitely on the higher side pricing wise but One of my all time favorite spots!

Such a great little local eatery, only it's so little anymore. This Pizzeria does amazing food perfect for a family or group occasion. Located in the heart of Coburg and is popular amongst the locals. They are a popular spot for birthday celebrations and gatherings as they have quite a spacious area both inside and outside. Well known for their traditional italian cuisine and wood fired pizzas. The menu offers a good selection of choices including pizzas, pastas, steak, antipastos and more. We decided to try the pizza, pasta and a salad to share. Be sure to keep a lookout for their specials as we ordered the pizza bianca from the specials, aglio olio pasta and roquette and pear salad. The pizza was light and I really enjoyed the pizza base as it was chewy and the toppings went really well together. Loved how they included truffle oil on the pizza. The pasta was cooked to al dente perfection and it was good. Really enjoyed the roquette and pear salad as the dressing was good and the cheese brings out the flavour of the salad. We went with the option to add in calamari and it did not disappoint, there was a good amount of calamari for the salad. Always room for dessert, we decided on the calzone with pistachio and apple and I must say it was an absolute highlight. Definitely worth trying this dessert as it tasted amazing. The vanilla bean complemented the calzone really well and I absolutely loved the pistachio and apple filling. The staff were lovely and they were attentive despite having a very busy service. Definitely leave room for desserts as you do not want to miss the calzone.

This is easily one of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne! I have been several times and each time had something different from the menu and never fail to be impressed. The pizzas are really outstanding, just as you would expect from Italy with a light thin and crispy crust and beautiful fresh toppings. I also really like the fact that every time I have been, the owner is involved in all aspects of the restaurant: hosting, waiting tables, clearing dishes, making pizzas, drinks, etc. Great stuff guys, looking forward to my next visit!

Melbourne needs more venues like this and how they are run & managed. Well worth the 30km drive from the east. The pizza crust consistency and flavour profiling was very satisfying. The red peppers, and blend of herb was perfectly done and the goats cheese was top notch high grade, you can tell. Its hard to get true authentic pizza these days let alone fresh house made toppings that arent out of a jar. Especially when you work so hard all day and want to treat yourself to the good things. Its hard to hedge your bets at most places these days, that turn out a dissapointment or things are amateur, and highly priced, or give you reflux for hours after because the food is old. So here it was a pleasant outcome with authentic food at a great price and a good after sense to it. I rocked up super hungry and despite the place being so packed out, the pizza arrived in a few minutes which was fantastic. Great selection of wine. Tried the sauvignon blanc which went great with the house made chilli on the pizza. All up a $55 spend thats a great evening out. So safe bet to take your friends there or organise a catch up group. Nice vibe and all locals it seemed with everyone happy. So says a great deal about the place. The owner Jamil has a heart of gold, personally making sure your well looked after and having a chat. The desserts could do with a bit of amping up, but was still enjoyable none the less and great value with all the ingredients. Cosy vibe and you dont get such good service much elsewhere these days. Highly recommended.

One of my favourite gluten free bases in all of Melbourne although they are a little pricey. Go for the Eggplant pizza or Ortalana. Fat Sparrow house wine is very reasonably priced and tasty but they also allow BYO which is great when you have a special bottle you want to bring along with you. Staff generally very friendly.

Had a veal schnitzel tonight with ‘mushroom jus’ but just had a few bits of sautéed mushroom on top, and then the Potato was quartered but deep fried so looked good but was dry. Similar experience with the scotch fillet last time. Just not cooked properly and sauce was poor.

What a fantastic local Italian eatery in Coburg!! A small group of us ate here last night. We samples some of the offerings from the shared starter menu like the arancini, meatballs to the best calamari I have ever eaten. Soooo yum!!! I ordered the slow cooked pappardelle lamb ragu and it was divine!! Other dishes ordered the gnocchi with 4 Italian cheese sauce, the braised beef with polenta and a crumbed veal cutlet and no complaints. The least favourite dish was the seafood linguine my husband ordered which was flavourless, heavy on the pasta and full of oil. That was the only negative. The woodfire pizzas we shared were also good and not sloppy. Service was great. A Warm cosy atmosphere. We will be back for sure

Just a short walk from our new place in Coburg, Cornerstone does great traditional style wood fired pizzas and primo pastas. They serve local Coburg Brewing Co beers and the place is packed every time I go in, credit to the quality of the food and friendly service. You can see them out and about at local events such as the Coburg Night Markets in December with their portable wood fired oven too!
