Love the venue and look and feel of the place. Beautiful family get together vibes. Their signature Chicken flourinetine is a winner so we came the second time and ordered the Grilled barramundi and a Pasta dish. Not a fan, nothing special- especially with the price we paid. We will still come back but we will stick with what's popular or what staff recommend. 🤔 Staff are friendly as ever.

Great Restaurant for family and friends. The vibe is energetic, youthful staffand quick services, loved the Lamb & Pumpkin Risotto, very delicious. Convenient parking, carwash at the back, Dandenong Market, Coles all across the road and Dandenong Hub, Plaza down the road 300m. Kitchen closes late which is a plus.

For such a large and clearly busy venue, the service was absolutely perfect from start to finish. All the staff were super friendly, food came out very quickly and it all tasted amazing. I went with my mum yesterday to have lunch for my birthday after hearing how great Dandenong Pavilion is, the reviews are nothing but correct this place is wonderful. Our food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes are very generous (We ordered the Chicken Florentine and Calamari Main) and our dishes arrived to our table in no more then 20 minutes. The atmosphere and staff we were great, we will definitely be coming back.

This place is about the service. The decor and layout of the main bistro area is very comfortable and has a warm feel to it, but the star attraction and the super attentive genuine happy nice staff. The menu is a modern menu, Burgers, Calamari, salads etc and to a very high standard nothing to fault. But from the moment greet staff meet you at the door till you leave they are looking after you and it isn't a fake act, they are all happy and enjoy the atmosphere they create. A hidden gem.we never knew it was there. Owners have been running this place 15 years.

Been here on 2 separate occasions. The food is delicious and portions are quite large. Definitely worth every penny spent here. Staff are attentive and the wait is not long. They do not allow split bills. So if you're planning to pay separately, come prepared.

This place is great! Food is always delicious and I've never had anything I didn't like. They have a great kids menu as well and prices are very reasonable. Only down side is that it can get very busy so make sure to book ahead for dinner or you may not get a table.

Food was really good and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately when we visited there was a very strange and off putting smell (smelled like sewage). We're sure this would have been remedied by now and we wouldn't hesitate to go back, but unfortunately this wasn't great when we were eating at the time!

Amazing personalised service, even when they were very busy. Food is absolutely stunning. Salted perfectly, steak made with no dry spots, chips and break perfectly crunchy. A beautiful setting lovely lighting, curtains and drapes offering both an indoor and outdoor experience. We had a larger group celebrating a milestone birthday inside the main restaurant. Our guests ordered from different categories of the menu including salads, burgers, pastas and mains. The portions were very generous and meals tasty and delicious which was evident by the empty plates.

Great Service and the seafood was fantastic (Highly recommend the sizzling calamari/prawns). Porterhouse Steak was.. very very average and I would not have called it a porterhouse (shaved in half perhaps?) Great atmosphere. Prices very resonable.

Always love coming here , for 10 years now and we came for my mums birthday Saturday just gone and the food and service is always top notch ! We had 14 of us there and we had lots of food from the entree’s to mains , lasagne fingers and zucchini fries were delicious and the calamari and falafel was yum . My Riesling wine was just right and the waiters were lovely! Give this place a go if you haven’t already.

Indeed a very nice dining outlet. The place is tucked away on the side of Princes freeway so it can be easily missed but it has a very big signboard that indicates you're at the right location! The lunch we ordered was superb - big portions served! The only little downside was that it was tat too pricey. The place decorated beautifully, wooden floors etc, had a feeling that you are somewhere at a winery and was very spacious - big enough to hold a small gathering, they had outdoor space too! I need to comment on their toilets - it is very beautiful and clean! It can be compared to toilets found in 5 star hotels! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with the food which was served with very friendly staff. An amazing place for celebrations, small gatherings or a simple dine out!

We had a really lovely lunch here, the staff were really friendly and receptive and the food was great - between the group we ordered all kinds of things, which were all delicious, but definitely ask for the secret burger menu! The serving sizes are quite large, however, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Haven’t been here in many years but returned to find that it still wasn’t bad. We had the burger and the beef rib with a entree of the jalepeno poppers. The poppers were great, as were the burgers. The rib was just okay, cooked well in parts but left you dry in the mouth in others. I’d go back to try something else next time.

Went to try the burgers. RKO and Atomic were delicious. Must try! Beef Burger was OK. Small compared to the above two, not sure if its worthe the price. Garfield was a let down. Too many elements that dont go together. Example lasagne fingers. Desserts were also good. Strawberry panacotta was the stand out winner. Creme Brulee was great but sticky date pudding was very ordinary. Service was top class.

When you tell your waiter just a small burger then get brought out with this monster.. OH hell yaassss!! The burger bun was nicely toasted and beef patties perfectly cooked medium so it was nice a moist. Chicken patties were nice, tender and perfectly fried resulting in an extra crispy coating of goodness. Bacon had a nice hit and wasn't too salty. Only let down was the onion rings was soggy and the mac & cheese lacked flavour.. Other food items on the menu was good as I have been here a couple of times now

Check out this place and get a burger that’s not on the menu. It’s called the Tsar burger. It’s amazing. That’s all I can say. Get it!! Very very good. Worth a visit. I came with a group of people. And they were able to accommodate. This is a good thing. However I prefer the smaller mom and pop shops. But that doesn’t turn me too off from this place. We got burgers and they were on point. Love this place! Celebrated my birthday here last night. Due to Covid restrictions, seating was only for 20 in the restaurant. Felt like we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Recently visited the Pavilion for dinner for my partner birthday. On arrival greeted in a friendly manner, sat at our reserved table and without delay the waitress come to introduced herself and took our order. The wait wasn’t long for our dinner, it was exactly what was ordered, it looked and tasted perfect. And finally, the cost of the meal with drinks was very affordable and reasonable. I was very disapointed as was one of my friends as our prawn & pasta meal was very cool. They reheated it but I felt it was heated in the microwave in the first instance & perhaps a left over from the Weekend . We were there on Monday December 20th. Perhaps its under new management but it lacked what we expected this time..It had never disappointed us prior to then. The half strawberry on my drink looked tired & not fresh. As strawberries are cheap & plentiful at the moment it was not a good look. Not good enough Pavillion. Waitress are excellent & work very hard. We declined desert & coffee.

I have been to Dandenong Pavilion a number of times, as their burger menu is a huge draw card. They consistently produce delicious burgers. It had been a number of years since I visited, so I was well overdue and a trip with the kids was in order. We visited for an early dinner at 4.30pm. We arrived and were promptly welcomed and seated. We asked if we could be seated at the tables overlooking the kitchen and this was no issue at all. I would absolutely have to commend that our main attendant was exceptionally friendly and went over and beyond, especially with the kids. She gave the kids empty coffee cups for their water and they loved it! We also didn’t have to ask for the kid’s menu or colouring pencils. We ordered Calamari and Chips for the kids to share (which was a huge portion), the Sizzling Seafood Plate (with prawns and calamari), their January burger special and a side of macaroni cheese. While we waited for our food, my son enjoyed a game of looking into the kitchen without being spotted by the kitchen crew! It’s always positive for kids to see their food being prepped and cooked. Food arrived quickly and it was well presented and delicious! However, the smokey flavour of my burger wasn’t to my liking. I definitely feel that had I added cheese or extra sauce, it would have been perfect. Let me assure you, that their burgers live up to their hype.

Celebrated my Mum’s 50th birthday here this year and we had the most amazing time. First of all the food was incredible! We had a table of around 16 people and ordered a wide range of meals. Everything arrived relatively quickly and all at the same time. Nothing could be faulted and everyone loved their meal. Especially the Turkish loaf, we would all go back just for that! The staff were so kind and offered to take photos for us. The prices are also incredible and we were expecting the bill to be much higher than it was. Overall, we had an amazing time and couldn’t recommend The Pavilion enough!

My go to place when catching up with my son's grandmother. Being the "silly season" I had a little bit of concern with regard to the ability to book a table. Thankfully we had no issue, booking online, and receiving good service from the staff. The time we chose to book was 12.00 pm, and when we got to the restaurant, it was still quiet. Staff were attentive and there was a good selection of meals to choose from. I ordered a variation to my meal, which was met and the meal was hot, delicious, tasty and filling, with both myself and grandma, taking a "Doggy bag" home for dinner. Visited the Pavilion today after many years since I last visited. I always loved the food and the place was always busy. Today when I arrived it was still thriving! Ambiance of the venue is very noisy, as you would expect for a busy Sunday but it was hard to talk to the people next to me as it felt like everyone was shouting. I ordered a steak sandwich which I was looking forward too! But the waitress advised me that they are not doing steal sandwich today. Wish they told us that when they handed us the lunch menu. So i had to choose on the spot. I went with one of their burgers and O M G it was amazing! The food is so nice at the Pavilion I think they must always hire the best chefs coz every time I have been I have always been happy! This was exactly how I remember the burgers from a long whole ago. Each flavour was on point. From the bacon to the carmelized onion to the sauce on the bun. It was perfect! Although the service was slow and we had to approach a waitress to take our order the food made up for it. I also love how u can see the chefs cooking it's nice to see the behind the scenes

I can't express enough how much this place has exceeded my expectations. When my sister booked dinner at the restaurant I was prepared for pub quality food, average quality, decent prices but boy was I surprised. The cosy and expertly decorated rooms aren't at all pretentious but still exceeded my expectations of the restaurant having a chill pub vibe while still beig able to pass as a fancier restaurant. The seating provided at one of the longer tables in the side room we had booked were probably the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in as far as restaurants go and they wrte not at all cramoed with plenty of arm space between us. The stafg were very accomodating and checked back regularly whether we were ready to order drinks and food and took orders down efficiently while socialising with us and laughing at our stupid jokes and remarks. The food all came out very quickly with the kids meal we ordered coming out well before the rest of ours which was just perfectly timed to keep a 3 year old boy preoccupied when ours came out. The 450g Rib Eye steak I had was the best steak I have ever had sub-$100 and it couldn't have been cooked more perfectly when I asked for Medium-rare. The char-grill on the crust was the perfect depth and it gave a great smokey taste to compliment the fat that marbled throughout the great cut of meat I received. A lot of the steak just broke apart in my mouth with little to no chewing involved; making the knife work even less tedious. They also stored and brought out our BYO birthday cake and came out with sparklers lit and even stayed and sang Happy Birthday with us. How many restaurant staff would do that voluntarily? They get full marks from me and I will definitely be back very soon. Looking forward to my next Tinder date as they are in for a hell of a treat 😉(The steak; I mean the steak of course, keep your mind out of the gutter)

The Pav is a fantastic place for a great feed in the south-east. The restaurant has a huge menu with something to satisfy whatever it is you're keen for...oh, and don't forget to ask for the 'secret' burger menu, they are some of the best burgers you can find around. On Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30pm until late they open up the Burger Stop window in a little eatery out the back. You can grab yourself one of the many amazing burgers they have available, the poutine fries are absolutely to die for! If you feel like dessert they have amazing churros! Enjoy it!

Entrees came out quickly but had to wait over an hour after that for mains, and we arrived at 6pm on a Thursday and there was hardly anyone there at the time. It was full later but our meal should have been first in the queue since we ordered before anyone arrived. It lost a star because the chairs were so uncomfortable. I never notice seating but these were flat wooden chairs which would be hard enough on your bum as is but they had a large lip around the edges which dug right into the back of your thighs. Before even ordering food we were so uncomfortable we wanted to leave. We would have stayed for dessert and coffee if not for that. I bet they lose a lot of revenue for that reason. Get more comfortable chairs!

Three of us went there today for lunch sat @ tble 4 on request. One had lamb fetta salad, other had fish and chips, with side of prawns. I had Rib Eye 250g with side of prawns. The venue was @ 80% capacity, having opened only 40 minutes earlier. Food took just over 20 mins to the table from ordering- surprisingly fast - and it wan't good- it was outstanding. We are very particular with food- especially me- and it left us all raving in the car on the way home. All the diners looked happy, throughout the venue. Points to note: Tables were big- no struggling for space to place drinks, water coffee etc. Service was exceptional Staff were great- there without being in your face Food- the reason you go to a restaurant... portions were big- not some 2cm square artistic vegetable that left you hungry after eating. 3 very happy customers, thankyou Joel and Staff.

Repeat customer over 10 years, the service, even though they are always full, is never tardy. Staff are always cheerful, helpful and I've never been left wondering when is someone coming to take our order or when it's my meal coming. I miss the log fire which has been replaced by battery candles. Its not rocket science to bring the log fire back. Ppl travel to sit by one of those on a winters day. Food is consistently yummy. The Pavilion has become a victim of its own success. We've visited here a number of times and the last two have been disappointing. The staff are well trained and the decor is modern. But the "Pav" tries to be everything to everyone. The menu lacks any theme, novelty or seasonality, and if it wasn't for the elevated prices it could have come straight out of any large pub in Melbourne. It feels like the entire operation is optimised to produce a lot of food fast and cheap, with most plates over-represented with cheap starch such as chips, rice, or mash. On Saturday night the dining room is loud and not relaxing. The Pavilion lacks soul and doesn't stand for anything anymore. But if the punters keep coming back then good on the Pav for finding the formula to success.

The burger menu is maybe the most special about Dandenong Pavilion. The burgers are maybe the best i've tried in a very long time and maybe even the best in all of Melbourne. The are big, juicey and tasty! I would recommend this place to anyone!

We went to the Pavillion for breakfast this morning as I had heard good things about the place. There were no other people in the place early on a Saturday morning and the restaurant was quite cold. I was very disappointed when I ordered Gluten Free bread with my meal as I have a wheat allergy, and GF bread was on the menu. The waitress returned to tell me that the only GF bread was a fruit loaf and they dont usually have it. I had the fruit loaf which was a bit of an odd thing combined with avocado and feta but tolerable as there was no other alternative for me. It is disappointing to find that items on the menu are not available, especially something a simple as GF Bread. The person we spoke to said that they would have to alter the menu but I suggested that it might be simpler to supply what was on the menu, even if it meant putting the GF bread in the freezer. On the whole I was very disappointed.

We had our girls catch up dinner at the Pavillion Friday night and were very happy with the food and service but was really dissappointed with the cold breeze and smell of smoke from the outside smoking area. We were sitting inside and just found the doors constantly opening, we had to leave our coats on to stay warm and we all left smelling of smoke and our eyes stinging. The smoking area is way too close to the eating area and we shouldn't have to be freezing because of the door constantly opening and closing and that smell drifting in. Can't fault the food or service and would definately go back but request to sit in a different area. Also would suggest it would be perfect if you could split the bill as alot of us don't carry cash these days so its not uncommon for a group to have mainly cards.

Pavillion is a hype for Dandenong. The menu is standard, food is generally ok however there are very limited vegetarian options. Compared to other retraunts in Dandenong the prices are also higher. If you want to spend money and eat in a western style space with western food then Pavillion is the place. Being in Dandenong however you have the widest selection of multicultural food in Melbourne and not partaking in what else is available is a missed opportunity.
