So it's totally a value for money dining @embers_grill_and_burger Moreover, the staff and the owner are such amazing folks who are kind, welcoming and friendly and will serve you with their warmth and so much cheer. What we had: 1/4 Grilled chicken with Peruvian spice rub with brown rice and shredded sumac carrots salad, the chicken is so juicy, mouth melting and tender, grilled to perfection along with that special spice mix, makes it such an addictive and a delectable meal combined with that fantastic carrots salad with chickpeas, currants, fresh herbs, pomegranate and vinaigrette. Definitely a must try. Embers Signature Burger is the crown of their menu, strongly recommended and it's nothing like you've tasted before. Made of grain feed beef patty, cheddar, egg, bacon, fried onion rings, tomatoes, lettuce, pickled cucumbers, mustard and embers Bbq sauce. This flavorful burger is incredibly delicious. The burst of myriad and awesome flavors will hit you right from the very first bite of it. Trust me, you don't wanna share this massive burger with anyone. Sister South Loaded Fries, creamy, crispy, crunchy fried chicken and fries will make you crave for this one, long after you finsihed one bowl of this goodness. Too many flavors making it an irresistible combination. They also offer Gluten free options for each and every dish, so you can still enjoy their brilliant and flavorsome dishes based on your eating preferences as well. Cute place with a very nice little backyard. Portions are generous with great varieties to choose from the grilled or burger menu section. Dishes are tasty yet pretty healthy too. It's the best burger/grilled chicken/salad/chips in the area and satisfaction is always guaranteed! I think I have tried every single menu items (multiple times) and never disappointed with the result. My fussy eater son loves Embers so much that we would have this everyday if I allow him to! Last weekend we had our first visit to Embers and OMG their Grilled Chicken have blown our mind! We opted for their Half Chicken w/ spices Peruvian rub, three colour slaw and sweet potato chips - this perfectly marinated chicken’s so rich in flavours, while being extremely juicy and tender! We also had their Embers signature burger. This stack is insaneeee. Can’t go wrong with this cheesy burger x onion ring combo. Southern fried loaded fries is also a must!! SO LOADED🥰 The fried chicken is amazingly crispy on the outside and still very juicy on the inside - just pairing perfect with gravy, ranch sauce and spring onion! Salt and peppers calamari served with quinoa roasted pumpkin tabouleh salad and hot chips, is another very flavourful option if you wanna try something lighter yet still satisfying. Last, cannot miss this Chic chips cookies shakes - our fave too!💖

Embers Grill is a great addition to the Heathmont food scene. Serving up a build your own menu of grilled meat and seafood, burgers and salads, it’s a great place for locals who looking for a fresh feed that’s reasonably priced! Protein options include salmon, chicken, beef or lamb skewers, pork chops and calamari. The basting sauces are all made in-house and you can watch while they flame grill your dishes. Who doesn’t love a bit of drama with their meal? You can select from several different salads, plus white or brown rice, fries, or upgrade to sweet potato fries for a couple of extra bucks. They also offer family packs, a good selection of burgers (with a falafel veggie option) and loaded fries. There really is something for everyone. Gluten free catered for on request. We had the Grilled Salmon with lemon, garlic and thyme basting sauce & the quinoa & roasted pumpkin salad. The serving is a really good size with a huge pile of fresh salad (just the right amount of dressing) a good portion of salmon, fresh and succulent. I loved the zesty lemon baste, a really good accompaniment to the salmon and nice and light and fresh. We upgraded to the sweet potato chips which were soft and fluffy with a lovely sweet flavour. We also had the Embers Signature burger 15 + side of fries for 3.2 Good quality beef patty, nice fresh ingredients. We loved the house-made smokey bbq sauce, a gentle smokiness, not too sweet as some bbq sauces can be, a really great compliment to this burger. The salad was crispy and the tasty onion rings giving a nice crunch. The bacon was flavoursome and cooked perfectly. This is another generous serve and in retrospect we actually didn’t need to order the fries on top, however this would still be decent value at $18.20 for a home made, freshly grilled burger with the lot + fries. We found the service to be welcoming and friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. It was nice to be able to see it being cooked over the bbq flame, and we loved all the home made basting sauces. They currently don’t serve alcohol but the liquor license should be in place in time for the end of April. We would definitely recommend Embers for a great, fresh, casual meal if you're in the area.

We decided to order takeaway during lockdown. Online ordering was easy and when we arrived to pickup the order was ready straight away. Food smelled so good in the car we ate it straight away when we got home. We got the 1/2 chicken with carrot salad and chips, loaded chips and a burger. The chicken was delicious - perfectly cooked and fantastic flavours. Loaded fries and burger was also tasty. The only negative was that the chips were soggy - like they were cooked a while before we had picked it up. Hopefully if we ate there in person this wouldn't be an issue. Overall we really enjoyed the food and would definitely be back to try it again!

The food here has always been tasty, and pretty healthy for take-away style food. My most recent visit however raised a few concerns as to how this business is run. I ordered a Chargrilled Mediterranean Calamari meal after asking about the country of origin of their calamari. I refuse to eat products originating in china whenever possible, and made that quite clear to the young male and female staff members serving me. They said they use a local, Australian supplier, which I told them doesn't always mean the product is locally sourced, and that a huge amount of businesses within the hospitality industry use frozen seafood originating from china. Instead of actually going to check, and allaying my concerns as a customer by being able to give me a confident answer, or actually show me the packaging, they didn't bother to take that extra step, despite not being busy at the time of my visit. Whilst my CHARGRILLED calamari was being prepared, I noted this was just being done on an ordinary hotplate. The term CHAR(COAL) GRILLED means exactly that, as the process imparts a distinct flavour, and if you're saying something is grilled on charcoal, then if nothing else, the Australian Consumer Law dictates that this description should be accurate! It's not like they don't have a char grill, they cook their meats on it and they taste great! I raised this with the fellow once my food was provided to me and the response was very disappointing. He simply said that's how they've always done it, to which I responded that this doesn't make it OK, just because they've gotten away with it for so long. I mean, I was hungry and didn't want to take this too far, but when I asked what they were going to do about it, the bloke didn't even say a word. He just became a brick wall. My friend, who worked in the hospitality industry for many years and who witnessed my interaction, was very surprised at how staff handled my concerns. Their attitude, while not rude or impolite, was essentially one of "DILLIGAF?!" Anyway, when I ate my calamari, I was actually pretty sure they were processed in china judging by the texture and appearance, and I would really like management to prove otherwise. You might think I'm being picky, but as a paying customer I have the right to make an informed decision and be picky, because I work hard for my money and I still have expectations of a minimum service standard in Australia that I don't think is unreasonable. Additionally, this isn't maccas, but a small business that staff should be proud of working at, and who should know about the products they're serving to their customers. If I'd known all this prior to ordering, I would have just got the beef skewers! So, to summarise, don't misdescribe the calamari as chargrilled when it's not, and bother to know about the things you're putting inside your customers! I'd also suggest a hot'n'spicy burger option, like with your spicy sauce and jalapeños, or chipotle chilli mayo.... Just a thought! Anyway the basted chargrilled meats that Embers have, especially on a bed of brown rice, are delicious, but if you want a 5 star review from me, you have to lift your game with the finer details, that starts with not lying to customers. Good luck for the future all the same.

Just found Embers. What a totally wonderful, understated establishment!!! My son had a cheese me burger and said it was the best burger he’s ever had. Daughter and I shared chicken skewers and loaded fries (Korean). The chicken was stunning and so fresh and soft and full of flavour! The home made bbq sauce as promised by the staff was lovely and mild (spice wise which was a bonus with my daughter). The loaded fries with pulled pork!!!! A meal in itself and so good!!!!!!! Well done guys, great place, fabulous food, tremendous staff and very reasonable prices. We’ll be back

There is just something about the burger we had here, The double trouble- pillow-soft burger and particularly-juicy beef patty and crispy fried chicken,that is so satisfying when you first hold with both hands, unwrap the burger and chomp it down.🍔🍔 A must try is their grilled menu, what I tried was their grilled chicken salad with a side of sweet potato fries and salad. A very flavourful cut, nicely glazed with juicy flavourful sauce. The chef managed to balance tenderness with the natural flavours of this cut.🍗🍲 Their loaded fries French fries are undeniably one of the greatest ways to eat a potato. Dipped in their variety of sauces and topped with a strip of fried chicken is the best way to turn everyone’s favorite snack into a full-fledged meal.🍟🍟🫕 Lastly must say one shouldn’t skip a freshly made cocktail from their cocktail menu, they’re refreshing and gets you in the mood ❤️🍹🍸

We came across Embers when our family moved from the city to Heathmont. Whether southern fried chicken or the signature burger, Embers grill and burger will satisfy! If we’re looking for the healthier option, a range of delicious salads and packs are definitely a go. The staff are all gorgeous, and we love the positive vibrations of coming into the shop weekly. The service matches the quality of food, tip-top! Embers should win awards! No other burger and grill shop compares! No competition! In the last two years I think we have ordered from Embers somewhere over 50 times and we have NEVER had a meal that wasn’t excellently prepared.

Ordered on UberEats. The Peruvian chicken burger is as good as it gets. Am not usually a fan of grilled chicken sandwiches but this beats a lot of good beef burgers. Bravo! Only gripe is that on UberEats, it forces you to choose a combo when selecting a burger. So you get more food than you can finish (plus it costs more). May be it is a bug, may be it is intentional, I don't know. Hopefully the owners let us have just the burger without the fires on UberEats.

Definitely Our fave takeaway joint during this pandemic. My husband and I We tried the chicken burger and ember’s signature beef burger and Chips with mayo Dips. We usually gets the tear it up chicken meals with Peruvian rubs. But We think this is our new favourite. I loveeeee the burgers and I am Not a burger person usually 😋 it was nice and fresh 5 out of 5 meals, the buns were fresh and soft, chicken and meats were juicy and full of flavour was so so yummy. This place is fairly new, had not seen it last time I was in Heathmont. (appx 2 mths ago!) Wanted a decent snack, & it was fairly late in the day, so I went for the Cheese Burger. (Not the type of burger I usually have when I DO have 1!) Went for it as it would have been the smallest and cheapest on the menu! I was NOT disappointed! Absolutely beautiful! Meat was flame grilled to perfection, cooked medium! Still a bit pink in the middle so stayed juicy! Nice melted cheese, tomato sauce & mustard along with fresh onions and nice crunchy pickled cucumbers on a proper brioche bread roll! WHAT was not to like? Great BBQ flavour, and not in the least bit greasy! I told the owner, she could TEACH Hungry Jacks a thing or 2 on how to do a real flamed grilled burger! She was very appreciative. The staff were lovely, service was quick and the place was spotlessly clean! All the salads looked lovely & fresh as well! Will go back for a FULL burger another time. Recommended!

This place is amazing. The chicken is tender juicy and tasty cooked perfectly, the salads are delicious and fresh and the spicy chips are crisp and delicious. The embers hot sauce is soooooo good if they sold bottles of it I would buy one a week it's delicious. So far I've tried the hot sauce , the Peruvian rub, and the garlic lemon and thyme bastings. They are all great, but favorites is definitely the hot sauce. It's not even really hot, but it sure is delicious. The prices are very good too. $18 for a half chicken with heaps of chips and heaps of salad? Excellent. Haven't tried the burgers yet because I really love char grilled chicken. I will try it next time maybe and update. The staff are also very very friendly, super cheerful and extremely accommodating and helpful. This is gonna be a regular for us.

We were visiting some friends in Heathmont last night and they brought us to Embers Restaurant for dinner, we had some grilled chicken with salads and chips and it was awesome. The chicken was succulent and perfectly cooked and basted with a great BBQ flavour and the salads and dressings were all freshly made in house. I would highly recommend a visit. Great to see a healthy and modern dining option in the outer suburbs.

Burgers this size and this quality for this price do not exist. I'm convinced this place isn't real. However, now I don't have to drive all the way to Glen Waverley for a 'Yomg' burger when the burgers round the corner are cheaper ... And better. Booked a table for two and let me just sayW O W--the food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and they also set up the place with candlelight to create a simple yet wonderful vibe. I seldom do takeaways but Embers Grill is my go to for excellent taste, freshness and good value. The chicken is outstanding even when eaten overnight and there are a variety of seafoods and salads. If I have to name a disappointment, it would be their mediocre chips.

Highly rate this place 👌. The meat is so flavoursome because all the bastings are house made and then cooked over hot lava rocks. Salads are fresh and tasty. Talking about the basting and salad they are all gluten free! Personal favourite was the smokey bbq and satay basting 🤤. Service is also very good, from the moment we walked in to leaving we felt welcomed. I had a chance to chat with Yenni the owner and her passion to help the youths in the community is so inspiring. Highly recommend Embers if you're after a healthy tasty meal in a beautiful part of Victoria.

A very decent Burger joint. I had the Ember burger, it's got that delicious barbecued flavour. I would upload a picture but I ate it 😂. Loaded fries were also yummy! It'll be a local favourite for sure!

Embers grill is our go-to for healthy take out. It's delicious and the vibe within the restaurant is awesome! I approached the owner Yenni who is so friendly and lovely for catering for my 30th birthday at home as we love her food so much, and wow did she deliver!! She was very reasonably priced and so great to deal with. She provided many types of gourmet finger food with plenty to go round for my party of approx. 70 people. So many of my guests commented on how delicious the food was! And there was nothing left the next morning, it was the perfect amount! On the night, I did not need to lift a finger and could relax and mingle with every one as I trusted her in doing a perfect job. She even got out her professional camera to take shots we'll keep forever as a bonus! Thank you so much Yenni for making my birthday amazing! :)

Excellent food choice. About time Heathmont had a place that provided healthy food choices. We shared a Mediterranean Calamari and a Falafel burger. The Calamari was tender and cooked to perfection whilst the burger was right on the money. Definitely will be back for more.
