I can’t speak highly enough of this restaurant, our recent dining experience was amazing. The staff are fantastic, we were well looked after and the quality of the meals were excellent 👍🏻 the meals were cooked to perfection. The meat fell off the pork ribs and the rib eye was like cutting through butter absolutely mouth watering. A fantastic dining experience overall and recommend trying this establishment when in the CBD. 👍🏻👍🏻

Booked this place as a spare of the moment thing, was quite happy with the meal, a little over priced though to charge $5.50 for a side salad that you would normally recieve with any steak dinner was a little rich for what you got. All in all service was a little pushy with the owner ( we think) hovering and pestering us till we finally gave him our order. But i think the atmosphere is what will bring us back.

Really great food. The ribs and lamb shanks meat falls off the bones. There are ample of seafood in the risotto. The steak is well cooked. Chips are really good. Desserts were so amazing that I forgot to take a photo before demolishing them .

We had 1/2 raw oysters to start then
rib eye with a side of mash and eye fillet both a perfect medium rare as requested.
Although the restaurant was fully seated the food still came out in a timely manner.

We had the honour of having a great waiter this evening, person name was Sam.
He very friendly and great to talk to. Made sure that everything ok also was able to get extras condiments that was requested.

The seafood platter was excellent. Very generous serving and well cooked. The rest of the food was average, quite pricey for the quality (our meal came out as $60 per person). But the reason for the low rating is that the wait was more than an hour for food to be served. And we ordered an entree that was not served ahead of time, which could have abated our hunger. They also served the orders of our group separately with long gaps between each, which meant, because we were all hungry and didn’t want food to get cold, that some of the group finished early while the rest were still waiting.
The restaurant was very keen to get us seated as we were passing through the lane, looking for a good place to eat, but once seated, took forever to feed us.

A group of 4 of us went for dinner on NYE, without a booking and were accommodated despite how busy they were.
Our waiter (Connor) was professional, attentive, friendly and very funny. Food was very good and location outside is buzzing in the alleyway.

Great friendly place to eat, with good incentives for people walking by, alfresco dining. Reasonable prices and good portions, live music in the street and happy atmosphere. Only downfall was only one ladies toilet out of action and has been for a while otherwise 5 stars

Great atmosphere and a delicious selection of grill and seafood favourites. I had the aged Scotch fillet steak which was cooked beautifully and with care. Crispy chips and a red wine jus packed with flavour were great accompaniments. If there is room I’d recommend a table outside in the laneway where you can soak up the Melbourne laneway atmosphere and live music.

We ordered T-bone (medium-rare is suggested as it's like medium in my experience) and it's good! Really delicious steak!!

The place is pleasant to have a light brunch and it has a pretty good atmosphere in the restaurant. The servings are decent in size and price wise it's pretty good as well. The staff inside is a bit slow in attending to customers even though it was not crowded. The staff member outside was a bit pushy in trying to get people in with promises of free coffee etc though they didnt end up delivering. There is a bit of miscommunication there but other than that, it was quite pleasant. The food we ordered was delicious and won't mind having again.

The service was excellent. The servers were attentive and friendly. Their lunch deal (main+appetizer (bread or bruchetta)+a beverage (including alcoholic one)) costs only $19.90! We were wondering how the restaurant even makes money!
For the price we paid, I'd say my lunch was excellent. However, we have had much more flavourful porterhouse steak elsewhere in Melbourne. But the service made up for it. :)

Nice place to sit in the sun and have lunch. In the middle of Hardware Lane where there is lots of choice. It was busy, so decided to have a try. Had the pork ribs and they were so succulent that the meat just fell off the bone. Very rich and delicious. The eggplant spaghetti was overly rich. Service was professional.

Outstanding pasta dishes! The chicken involtini is magnificent. The seafood risotto, good. One of the waiters tries in particular very hard to provide good service, which is nice. There are some great choices on the menu and prices are resonable. I would recommend this place for a nice evening meal.
Skip the deserts and order some extra mains to share. The deserts are not good at all...
Tip: MAKE SURE to specify how you would like your red meat to be cooked. Otherwise it will be served very rare. ALSO check the bill as we were charged incorrectly recently. I strongly suggest you take my advice and order the main course dishes!

My dish was really yummy, I had the beef cheeks, the others dishes looked good but not much too it. I tried all 3 and mine was best. Customer service was ok, the waitress very nice but did forget to put a dish on our order so we never received it. But they did apologise. They weren't really organised in finding the right table numbers and what food went where.

Amazing lunch menu with absolutely delicious food. To top with that friendly staff and great ambience on Hardware Lane. Tough to beat this place.
I gried grilled Barramundi, which to my absolute delight came with Mussels & Pipi-Clams as well and was very delicious. I also loved their Bruchetta, had great flavours though wish the salad (rockets) were a bit more fresh.

Greeted by a sweet Taiwanese girl upon arrival, recommending us to try out the avocado spaghetti and the taste was superb! Grilled salmon was fresh and nice as well. Oh not to forget they do have complementary house wine for each person. That’s just so heart warming to have as the weather was really cold out there. Definitely will come back if I ever travel to Melbourne again. Great service great ambiance, worth the price!

We ordered the day of fish n pasta by Chef Recommendation. Pasta come with mussels n chilli susage n the portion enough for two, we love it ! The fish come with with salad is taste good. They highly recommend bottle of Sauvigon Blance 2016 which prefect match with seafood. Reali enjoy the food, wine n atmosphere.

I was in a tour of over 100 people from Malaysia. For the past few days of our trip, meals have been not very pleasant due to the number of people we have for those restaurants to prepare. However, this particular restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It was the last dinner we were gonna have before leaving Melbourne. Food was absolutely fantastic, staffs were super friendly, especially a staff named Kosta. He is the BOMB. We had a full course from appetizers all the way to awesome desserts. The kangaroo is one of their signature dishes. Medium rare. It was very good, and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and the kangaroo. The restaurant is in a cozy street with lots of restaurants. It makes it a bit noisy, but also lively.

I had to come back again for the steak. Just perfect. It was a bit of a leap of faith as while the steak was excellent the first time around, the service was prickly to say the least. Totally different level of service the second time around and enjoyed the lunch.

Had a great time here last night! Exceptional service with amazing tasting food! One of the best mussels and garlic prawns I’ve ever had. I liked the food! The eye fillet was big (300g) and properly cooked, the chips were nice (and I never like chips), the garlic bread was great, the milkshake was great too!

It was good, recommend. Kerri had the potato gnocchi, I like gnocchi, a bit like squishy chips. They use truffle oil which is totally fake, but they were nice anyhow.
We were there for lunch and the weather was delightful, so factor that in. I ordered a tbone steak and I requested a large eye fillet. The waitress had no idea what I was talking about but she wrote it down and I received an exceptional t bone. It was that good.
I ordered red wine just with the steak, it was a mistake, I should have just shared the gnocchi and mushrooms with my wife. The sauce was nice, just unnecessary.
So recommended, price was moderate, but it was lunch time. I usually dine out at lunch because prices are so much better during the day.
We had walked along South bank and done a loop, prices were so much cheaper than South bank, I acknowledge South bank is awesome, this suited me better

We came here for valentines day. It was very busy and they managed to find us a table. They gave us a rose and free drink on arrival. The steak was great. Nicely cooked. The chicken was not equally as good. I guess we expected it to be a little better.
We also had the meat balls as an entree which was just fantastic. Waiters did an awesome job in such a busy night. Will come again
