Had the absolute pleasure of enjoying the delicious Sopressa pizza! The woodfire flavour was perfect on this thin base. The pizza was priced fair for what you got and the size was perfect. I ordered via the phone and it was ready within 10 minutes at 7pm on a Friday night. If you're looking for an italian style pizza in the heart of Hampton than this is the place for you. Cannot wait to try their other types of pizza's.

It was my Partners Birthday & his lovely Mother, she was not in Melbourne at the time but paid for my Partner's lovely Birthday dinner for Take Away. I checked out the Menu online & went for the non tomato base called Bianchi Pizza, Vegetarian with Eggplant, Zucchini ,& other delicious veggies. I now prefer Bianchi pizzas I think.Creamier I think. Very nice and Large Menu🤔😍

While the pizza isn't quite as good as is close by competitor on the other side of the Rd it's still very good and with a wood fire oven it's hard to go wrong. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the overall atmosphere is very nice and casual. The Nutella pizza is .... Well it's very very good! we look forward to going back :)

Disclaimer: I've been here just once, fairly late and on a crowded Saturday. Got a Margherita. The pizza dough was light and fluffy, I personally liked it a lot. Ingredients seem to be of good quality and staff was friendly despite the busy night. Dropped a star because our pizza bases were slightly burnt in spots, possibly because the oven wasn't cleaned properly. I'll give it another chance though.

Been going to La Svolta for years. Consistently great food from the Pizza to the salads to the specials. They sometimes do a scotch fillet steak special which is very nice. Authentic Italian - staff are mostly, if not all Italian. Recommended.

Service is five star, food four stars but can’t give it more than three stars because of the live but far too loud music there tonight. Patrons should be advised of the music at the time of booking (we were not). As a result we and our friends will not be going again. Most people dine out to enjoy the food and to chat but chatting proved to be almost impossible this evening. Very disappointing indeed.

The service from the wait staff was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. A pity my gnocchi was drowning in tomato sauce (I think they just threw a bottle of passata over it) and Hubby's seafood pasta was cold..... the garlic pizza was poor quality too. Hubby did say the wine was excellent.

These guys really know what they're doing. How may Italian restaurants in Melbourne serve home made pasta? The Tagliatelle with prawns and nduja was just a magnificent dish. The pizza is superb and on-par with anything I've eaten in southern Italy. Cannot fault this place...

Food reasonably good. Service okay. For the high prices I did expect a bit better but it was alright. Just a little more X factor in the dishes would help. Recommend it but there is better.

We had to wait outside for 15 minutes as the inside table that we had booked did not seem to materialise. Meals were tasty, but undersized - especially the pasta/gnocchi which doesn't exactly cost them the Earth to make or purchase so that was disappointing. I was left pretty hungry later, and with a short window to eat (due to COVID-19) and the table issue, you can't stay long for multiple courses. The atmosphere is loud/noisy as there are no soft furnishings at all to dampen the noise levels. Have been there several times before for takeaway pizzas and they are always good, otherwise it would have been 3 stars.

A very busy place and a good environment to dine, but noisy when crowded and for good reason crowds come here. Having well made high quality pizza, mains and desserts. The share plates and wines are perfect together as well. The menu changed and removed my favourite dish which was the Eggplant Parmigiana. Hopefully it might come back on the menu soon.

Only had pizza here - but, oh my, it was very good indeed. Super thin - but so soft. Wood-fired oven. Good toppings matched the quality of the base. Modest but very effective wine list. We were there on a Wednesday when the were lots of birthdays being celebrated by larger groups. Live music too (clichéd Italian standards well suited to the venue and atmosphere). Rather too loud for us - but we'll come back on a quieter night. Staff were quick, competent and friendly. I can see why this place was packed! Book for larger groups.

Quaint Italian restaurant in the Hampton shopping strip. We came here on a rainy Summer's day and had pizza. That was a great. Thin crust that ballooned near the edges. Simple toppings (Margherita and Capricciosa) were well paired; neither doughy nor overwhelming. The wait staff are charming and play the exuberant and passionate Italian well. The kids' menu was accessible to fussy palates and the specials were alluring. This is not an inexpensive place but well worth the price.

Had a great night with the family here on a Saturday. There was 13 of us and had booked quite late in the week. But Roberto was kind enough to accomodate us. The place was packed when we came. The place had a great atmosphere. They were all helpful and kind even if it was busy. Didn’t get the name of the lady serving us but she was lovely. Food was good too especially the pizza. First time here and will definitely be back.

We have been frequenting La S'Volta for quite a few years now, and it is still worth the 20 min drive past a dozen other pizzerias. Undoubtedly the best pizza in the hood, but tonight we've preorded it online, and firstly, it was a bit late of scheduled (that is not a big issue for us), but secondly, instead of sausage something pizza we got vegetarian eggplant pizza, which is not ok at all for me. I would have tolerated any other kind of pizza swap, but not eggplant one. Not allergic to eggplant, but I really really can't stand it :(

I ordered the stuffed shells and they were delicious. It reminds me of the way we prepare stuffed shells at home. They also use the fresh, soft mozerella cheese which is much better than what most restaurants use. You could tell they use the best quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend this restaurant especially to tourists who are visiting the area.

What a gem in Hampton! I can safely say the prawn spaghettoni with raw asparagus is the best pasta I've ever had. Nice ambient space, friendly service, good wine and craft beer choices and great that it is open till late). We couldn't recommend this place highly enough and we will be back to try the wood fired pizza.

For your "really can't be bothered cooking" nights you might try here, but go with low expectations so you're not too disappointed.

Overall - I will try other pizzas around.
