Difficult to fault Monroe for anything. Great selection of well thought out meat based and plant based burgers. Service was fast and efficient, for a Sunday evening dinner. Enjoyed our time here. Will def visit again!

The service was excellent and friendly, the burgers great. The decor is a little bit run down, but still quite acceptable and it was spotlessly clean. I miss the Monroe's of old which had photos and posters of the late Marilyn. But the burger was great! And that surely is the reason for going there. That they have a vegan menu delights one of my vegan friends. This is an establishment that I will return to time and time again. Highly recommended.

Friendly staffs and good services. Their burgers were ok, chips were good. However, the milkshake was like room temperature…we don’t enjoy it at all. And couple of things that we want to order were not available.

Can’t for the life of me remember which burger I ordered so I’m gonna say a classic with cheese 😂 Pretty good choice usually and this was no exception. Also had to try the Mac and cheese croquettes which were enjoyable. Awesome back beer garden overall a decent option for a burger, would return. Always impresses! Never had a bad meal from here. Burgers are big and juicy and full of flavour just how we like them! Onion rings and truffle chips are to die for! Not always on time for deliveries but never late enough for me to get upset about it. The staff are always lovely too! Will continue to come here!

really good burgers! iv been here a couple times over the years and it never disappoints! easy location to find as its on the main highway. street parking available but there are spots just around the corner family friendly though it can get quite busy so try to book ahead if you can (book at least a day in advance as they dont take on the day bookings) they have a weekly special burger - my visit they had a butter chicken burger!

Really good burgers, was worth the wait. Great beer batter fries. Would love to be back to try other items on the menu. Nice setup in the alleyway and beer garden too. There can be a 20 to 30 min wait on food to arrive during busy times but drink service is super quick. Staff are great and attentive.

Went the other night for a last minute birthday dinner and had a great experience. Great food, nice selection, great atmosphere. Despite the rush and struggle of working a few staff members down, they provided awesome service. Will definitely come back.

Cheese Truffle Fries were crunchy and delicious. Burgers were very juicy and tasty. Food came out pretty fast. We did not have a reservation so was sat outside in the courtyard. The chairs were old beer kegs which were pretty uncomfortable. I dont mind ordering online, but i feel like we should have been told upon being seated. All in all, a great experience.

We are not local to Healesville but ordered takeaway based on their reviews. We were not disappointed! Best chips ever! The kids meal only comes with 4 nuggets and so whilst we offered to pay for 2 extra (for our hungry lil 3-yr-old boy) they threw in the extra for no charge. So accommodating! Great burgers too!

Loads of fantastic burgers to pick from. The menu was super impressive. There was contact free menus and ordering which was really good. There was plenty of places to sit, and it was really spaced out. Great atmosphere. They weren't busy when I ordered, and it took 35 mins for our food to arrive. That was a but of a bummer, but everything else was perfect.

As always Monroe’s burgers are awesome. Tonight however we swapped out for a few Parma’s and were extremely happy. On top of this amongst a super busy night they were able to handle a last minute addition which saved the day. Service and food top notch.

My hubby and I rode to Healesville today and popped in for some takeaway. Had read the reviews prior to going and we weren't disappointed. Both our burgers were the best we'd ever tried along with the beer battered chips. Also great service. Can't wait to get back there again.

Couldnt ask for anything more! The burgers were tasted amazing and had the perfect balance of flavours. The grilled chicken was soft and succelent while the beef was juicy and filled with flavour. Chips came fresh and crunchy with just the right amount of salt. Staff were very friendly and very approachable. Defs coming back next time we're in the area.

Date: 24 July 2020 Due to Melbourne "lock down", Monroe's Burgers are selling meal kits delivered to your door. We bought one. We got two make at home Hawaiin Swine burgers and a Mac Dog (mac'n'cheese with a Kransky). The Mac Dog will be for tomorrow night. Tonight...the burgers. Seasoning and relish were great! Burgers cooked so easily, to the minute as per instructions. Put all the ingredients together and it was amazing. Cooking it up was a fun experience (the online instructions need some minor corrections but they were easy to follow and the very minor errors/omissions could easily corrected by reading the instructions properliy in advance, prior to commencing to cook). Well worth it. Excellent value, excellent meal, excellent flavours. Delicious. Oh, and we also got the cider sampling pack!

First off this EASILY could have been a 5 star review. The food was delicious and thanks to a promotion it was only $5 for the burger. However! And this is a BIG however, the customer service was atrocious. The guy who served my wife and I had an attitude of basically "get out of my shop" which you could chalk up to a bad day, but as soon as people he knew came in his attitude pulled a full 180 and he was the friendliest chap around. I asked for a special burger that was only available for a week and just missed it by a day, which fair enough, you can't control these things. But when I asked for the special burger the curt response was rude, and I didn't expect a formal written apology, but any form of communication besides "that was only available for a week, you'll have to choose something else" would have been appreciated. Like I said, luckily I was looking on their Facebook page and found a promotion for a cheap burger, otherwise the high prices and atrocious customer service would have turned me off Monroe's Burgers completely. Good food, bad service, high prices, go at your own risk, maybe you'll receive better reception than we did.

Tasty burgers and fries place in the middle of Healsville. The place is packed on the weekend and there's a wait for food. We waited 50 minutes for ours so if you are in a rush, go elsewhere for fast food. The bun and the hamburger meat is quite nice, paired with the sauce and it's a delicious burger. Worth the wait.

Visited here on the way to a trip to the Steveanson falls upon the recommendation of an influencer (aindogs) We tried the truffle or nothing, the nashfield bird, and their pulled pork and cheese fries. The 'truffle or nothing' is one of the best burgers I've tried with 2xjuicy beef patties in melted cheese topped with beer battered onions and truffle mayo. The nashfield burgers won the satisfaction of my friends and the fries were so good and not soggy at all. This was a world class experience and I'd highly recommend this place. Do get a reservation before going there on peak times though.

Absolutely amazing. Are the words I would use to describe this place. Awesome service, very friendly! And the food is just the icing on the cake (not literally)! The burger was perfect. The chicken was crumbed well, had a really subtle taste and didn’t go soggy. The beef was perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The sauce didn’t overpower the taste of the burger - perfect amount. The chips we got (shoestring) were basic and simple - perfect to accompany the burger. Price - worth it! Will definitely make the trip from all the way west out here again!

Oh yeah! This place is fantastic. It's just a little shop in the middle of Healsville shopping precinct, but their burgers are amazing. I had the double trouble and could not have been happier. The burgers are generous and delicious. Tam looked after us and helped us out with the new online ordering system. (easy to use) It's not some fancy restaurant, just great service and magnificent burgers! We're staying in Healsville for 5 nights and will definitely be back to Monroe's. 2nd night. We saw Tam again, she is a gem. This time I had the spicy chicken burger, and man, this thing packs a delicious punch! If you like a little heat, this is the one for you. Careful though, the next day I was just sitting there, when Jonny Cash walked in with his guitar, singing "Burning Ring Of Fire" It was worth it. Happy trails Y'all....

Absolutely astounding. Prior to going, my regularly visiting and mentioning friend would literally talk about this place non stop. Given he is an absolute mad lad for burgers, even going so far as to visit pretty much 90% of all burger joints in Melbourne, thoroughly recommended this place as the best burger(s) he's ever had hands down. With a looming doubt in my mind about his talk up of the place I was quickly put in my place when I visited and tried the famed burger. Incredible. Despite being a solid 1 hour and 20 minutes drive away from myself it was beyond worth and would recommend this place to anyone keen, interested or even sceptical. The flavour and textures blend to smoothly and the only way I can describe the sheer quality is that despite the amount of flavour swirling in your mouth with each bite, you can barely feel it there and that in itself oozes quality meat and production. Thanks alot friends, you've outdone what it means to make a burger.

Waiter took our drink order pretty quickly. Then we waited approx. 30 minutes for them to take our food order, meanwhile the shakes hadn't arrived. So we waited in total around 50 minutes for food to get to us. Flavours were good, not amazing. Service definitely let down the experience.

One of my favourite burger joints in Melbourne. This local Healesville gem turns out killer burgers whether your feeling beef or chicken, from the sides menu I recommend their truffle aioli fries which are awesome. Wash it all down with a Nutella or their new Reese's peanut butter milk shake and your set. Pro tip: keep an eye on their specials board for something a little different and special from the cooks. I called just on dinner rush on a public holiday, the lady who (sorry, forgot your name) answered was very polite and informative. By the time we arrived the small team of staff were very busy but made time for to make sure all customers were seated and looked after, a wonderful experience. Oh and the food was amazing, the Loaded Cheeseburger Fires and the Nashville Hot Chicken burger were some of the best I've ever experienced. Overall it was the perfect place to end an amazing long weekend, I'll be back and I'll be inviting everyone I can!

I've followed this place on Facebook for over a year and a half and dreamed of the day I'd visit Healesville in the Yarra ranges to sample their wares. Today was that day. It's not often a company lives up to Facebook hype but these guys and girls have nailed it. Their burgers look just as good in real life as they do on their posts and taste amazing. In fact, this was the best burger / sandwich / slice of heaven I've ever had. Now I'm sad I live so far away 😭

Excellent food and even better service. Possibly one of the best burger joints in Victoria hiding out not too far from the city in Healesville. I had the truffle burger and it was so good, as Gordon Ramsay would describe it: it was 'next level'. A friend of mine who ordered the same concurred. We sat at the back in the beer garden with a cocktail bar, and those cocktails were top notch as well. The Flaming Passionfruit and Hazelnut Espresso Martini are worthy mentions. Now on to service, the bartender alleged that it was his first night behind the bar, and asked us if his drinks were any good. Well if it was truly his first night we weren't able to tell because his drinks were divine. When we ordered our food, the server told us there might be a 30 minute wait. Our food was served 40 minutes later and the staff were apologising profusely for the delay, and offering us a free round of drinks. We honestly didn't even realise that the food was 10 minutes late, and it was definitely worth the wait. Never had such good service at a burger joint. In summary, if you're in Healesville, you'd be missing out if you did not pop in to Monroe's for a bite. And to the Monroe's team: thank you, well done and keep doing what you're doing. We'll be back.

Chips were nice, but burger was very small , cooked perfect but nothing special. It was a kind of, "oh is that all?" Edit: The burger itself was really good, thick, juicy and slightly pink , I "we" were surprised at the small diameter of the bun. Many places have gone to the smaller diameter Brioche bun these days. I think i was hoping a reincarnation of the "original" Fitzroy St Munroe's burger size of the 80's and 90's. They were the best in Victoria.

Upbeat and friendly indoor-outdoor resturant with decent quality burgers. Monroe's was very busy when we arrived however that did not compromise customer service; we were promptly guided on the wait time and phone-called when our table was ready. The outdoor dining with the keg seats and a few missing umbrellas wasn't too great. Food arrived timely even in peak period, however wasn't anything to write home about. The loaded cheeseburger fries (what was available at the time) didn't bring much to offer except the experience of chips and some sauce. Both the chicken and beef burgers were good but that's about it, okayish value for $15-20. If you're coming through Healsville it's a decent option for a lunch stop.
