Had a great night at the Palais, the food and drinks were amazing! The one thing that put a downer on our whole night was watching the 2 waitresses continuously getting pulled aside and being yelled at by an older gentlemen in glasses. Just appalled by his behaviour! He also messed up our order which one waitress apologized profusely for when we pointed it out to her, and as she was taking my meal back we saw the man pull her aside and point to the plate and it looked as though he was telling her off for attempting to fix a mistake. Very disappointing to see the attitude that this man had toward both the younger waitresses. Aside from this one thing, we all had a lovely evening, the food was wonderful, the drinks were superb, and the rest of the staff were absolutely lovely.

Such a pleasant surprise this place was. An amazing old palais theatre transformed to a beautiful cocktail bar and restaurant with old world charm and feel. Very cool music of the old era playing keeping a great fun vibe, friendly service, good drinks menu and cocktail list. Food is flavoursome and good variety too.

My husband and I ate at the Palais Hepburn and we absolutely loved the whole experience. The ambiance of the place was so lovely. The food was absolutely delicious, my vegan meal was so good and to have a vegan menu is just wonderful. Apart from a spectacular meal and the amazing ambience, the best part of the night are the staff that work for the Palais Hepburn. These wonderful men and woman couldn't do enough for the patrons. They were so helpful answering many questions from my husband and I about the food. They kept coming too our table, topping up our water, I was blown away by the staff. Management should be so happy and proud of the wait staff and I was so impressed by them. Thank you Palais, my husband and I enjoyed our 40th wedding anniversary at your beautiful venue.

My partner and I had a great night out here when we visited in April. The chef is clearly very skilled as their vegan dishes were absolutely delicious, and the wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend! Thanks team!!

We love this place, a great place to come to for afternoon and evening drinks and nibbles. Been to several shows here too, great atmosphere and fabulous cocktails. The refurb and opening has unleashed a much needed lease of life in Hepburn.

First time for dinner last night. Greeting was professionally made and friendly. Table for 4, covid safe and spaced. Started with sparkling wine, goats cheese tart with a scrumptious side salad. Main of sherry beef cheek slow cooked served on mash and crisp kale. We ate that with a glass of Shiraz. Dessert of French doughnut with berries and dusted with icing sugar was divine. Overall can't flaw except a bit dark in side room / bar to read menu and to eat. Table lighting the only improvement needed. We will return. Peter and Neville, from Daylesford

Nice spot to stop in and grab a drink. Didn't try the food but the menu looks pretty good for something light to eat while soaking up the ambience. Very cool little venue. Would definitely like to go back for a few more late afternoon beverages.

The revamp on the Palais is amazing, such great styling and design. We watch a show over the weekend at the energy in the room was electric. Then had a few cocktails at the bar, was a great night out I will definitely be going back again soon

They have a constant flow of live entertainment for a variety of music tastes. The venue is one of the best bars you will visit, taking retro to a classy level. It's a must to visit for anyone visiting the Hepburn area.

Love the reinvigorated Palais!. The attention to detail, great service, calendar of events - I love it all! Only reopened recently and I have already been to some incredible shows and events as well as a few nights dancing the night away. The Palais is also a gorgeous place to have wine and cheese. If you’re visiting town, you must put this one on your “to go” list!

The staff are so friendly, went above and beyond to help me find the perfect wine for me. Had it ready at the bar for me to collect. Update- Brandon is the man to see! He knows his wines and always helps me out choosing what I need. Huge thumbs up dude!
