This place is fricking amazing! I’ve ordered from them countless times with no issues, I’ve had the chance to dine in recently. The staff were very friendly and the food was simply delicious. My mouth is watering thinking about it. I recommend trying out the special Pelicana sauce chickens! Their tteokbokki is my all time go to. Can’t wait to order from here again. My only issue was the amount of mess in the dining area. Even though it wasn’t busy the tables and chairs weren’t packed up and cleaned and they stayed like that for a while. Regardless I’m glad the staff paid extra attention to us, making sure we were satisfied with the service.

very busy when I visited for takeaway last night around 7pm. I tried ringing their phone number but no answer on 2 attempts and ended up walking there to order. Was advised there was a 45 min wait and they were accurate on the wait time. Very nicely presented. Order the chicken wings - nice touch with providing disposable gloves but no side dishes provided like other fried chicken places..Very tasty though (but hard to stuff up fried chicken!)

I’ve ordered multiple things here and I have yet to be disappointed. The chicken are always covered in sauce and flavours. I’ve also ordered seafood pancake (average), loaded fries with cheetos, and two fried sausages (one with potatoes and ramen). My partner and I loved the sausages as it was crispy and flavourful!! The dustings on them were plentiful and work well together.

We were in the mood for some boneless chicken whilst visiting Melbourne and stumbled across Pelicana on Google Maps. Down the back of a business district building, the restaurant was tucked away at the back, however plenty of signage and neon lights made it easy to find. Pricing was reasonable and a full chook for 2 actually made took value for money at take away standards. The chicken was soft and the flavours were delicious, a Korean beer complimented the dish perfectly.

One of the several places in CBD that serves Halal Korean Fried Chicken. Do note that ONLY FRESH POULTRY INGREDIENTS are certified HALAL. The Fried Chicken, Seafood Japchae and Beef Bulgogi with Rice is a must-try. The seafood pancake, despite tasting decent, was not worth the price given the quantity. Overall a good atmosphere with excellent service.

If you are looking for a nice spot to hide away with some friends (small group, limited seating) and share some fried chicken or hot soup this would be the spot. For those that know Gami this is Gami with a more menu options just in case you came for chicken but stayed for the soup :)

Partner ordered these for a friday night after a long week. The chicken tasted pretty good. Honestly pretty sad on the portions though. $12.50 for a garden salad that barely filled a quarter of it's container. We also got the boned chicken, and I whilst the wings were nice, I have never in my life seen such small drumsticks and that is no exaggeration. We got 24 pieces of chicken for $45 which seemed like alot for 2 people but it still ended up not being enough which is crazy. Not the worst experience, but there are much better local options that not only have better chicken, but actually give you sides. I wouldn't go back again myself nor would I reccomend.

One of the best Korean Friend Chicken in Melbourne. I always like the original flavour. They are crunchy and tasty. They will give you the deep fried crispy chicken skin on the side. Love to eat them just with a plain white rice. Highly recommended

I have only have been taking there chicken, and only there's. The chicken is not too dry or wet, and the varieties of sauces that they have go so well with their chicken. A must have sauceis their hot and spicy combined with mala sauce. The costumer service are great, with not much time to wait for the order. I wonder what else they have in-store?

One of the greatest foods in my opinion is Korean fried chicken and now that I live in Melbourne, the options are endless. It's great. I tried the reputed Pelicana, South Korea's largest fried chicken franchise and it absolutely blew everything I've had in Geelong away. Light, crispy, flavoursome (and so many flavours at that!). I would recommend any of the sauce-based marinades as they were so so juicy but stay clear of the dry marinades (like snowing cheese) as they can come out a bit dry and tough.

Soo happy I found this place through Groupon. One of the best tasting Korean fried chicken I've had, and even the chips were tasty! Very friendly staff too. As a bonus, they're located among other Asian restaurants and an Asia grocery/convenience store so it's a good place to have nice Asian cuisine for dinner. Must try.

Pelicana may be a fried chicken shop but their vegetarian options are great. I loved the crispy mandu, which are quite large and served with a nice, sweet dipping sauce. The tteok bokki is another must-try vegetarian option, featuring rice cakes and noodles in a rich tomato broth. Just be sure to ask for it without fish cake! For something slightly lighter, the kimchi stew is really nice with a moderate level of spice. It pairs incredibly well with the superfood salad, which includes avocado, olives, apples, quinoa, goat cheese and greens - not exactly traditionally Korean, but a delicious combo nonetheless. The drink selection includes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, of which I tried the latter. The corn tea is great if you don't want something sweet. Otherwise, I highly recommend you try the morning rice (sweet rice milk similar to horchata). This spot gets busy at lunch time (for good reason) so be sure to get in early or after the rush!

A famous restaurant chain from Korea, much like KFC their spices are a secret. As a big Korean fried chicken eater, this rates in the mid range. There is a great variety of flavours, the original was that good, I liked the pelicana and smoky chilli flavours. There was a long line and the venue is too small. Prices are on the high end compare to other alternatives close by like abc or buza.

I am addicted to fried chicken. When I heard that Korea’s largest restaurant chain, Pelicana, was coming to Melbourne, I knew I had to visit. They have over 2000 establishments in South Korea, China, Malaysia and America. Pelicana marinate the chickens for 48 hours, then divide it into pieces for a 2nd marinade. They then deep-fry the chicken for exactly 10 minutes! Finally you can choose from 12 different sauce flavours. We chose Pelicana sauce and original. The chicken was delicious. Crispy on the outside, juicy and moist on the inside. The Pelicana sauce was a combination of garlic and mild chilli, and was perfectly sweet too. A whole flavoured chicken will set you back about $35. Comes with some nice radish and coleslaw on the side. The restaurant has a basic fitout, and is good for groups and drinking sessions too. We came in a group of 14 and the kitchen was serving us and delivery services with aplomb. If you want great fried chicken in Melbourne, I recommend visiting Pelicana Chicken

I have eaten at a fair few Korean fried chicken places including Sam Sam chicken, Gami chicken, NeNe chicken etc and NOTHING, NOTHING compares to this place. To start off with there are 11 different flavours of Fried Chicken you can choose from. In addition to this there is also a nice selection of rice dishes as well as other dishes that can complement the Fried Chicken. Now to the main bit, this is by far the BEST Korean fried chicken I have ever had. Not only is the crunchy and crispinus done to perfection but the chicken itself is So Juicy and tender. You could actually say that don't have fried the perfect chicken. Anyone thinking of or craving of Korean Fried Chicken please come to this place. She's sitting indoors and outdoors and you have the option to either pay cash or card. In addition to this the customer service is fantastic and their thoughtfulness goes far and beyond for example when you order any type of Fried Chicken you are given a bucket of gloves and wet wipes. amazing.

Staff: friendly and helpful for someone who is new to pelicana. Food: crunchy and amazing, I ordered a half boneless chicken with the pelicana marinade. More than enough for a big guy like me. Time: if your traveling for a lunch break, be prepared to get back late. But I guess you can't rush quality. Price: 20 for half and 34 for whole chicken, bone or boneless. Not dear but still expensive, the curiosity was saved by the quality. Location: Tucked away in a laneway, hard to find if I didn't go exploring. If you see the FUTON sign you are in the right place. Final verdict: Will come back again!

Completely unacceptable and no apology offered when given order. I want to give you more stars but you have to start caring about service. So many places do Korean fried chicken now. Very good fried chicken. Meat is tender and soft (not dry), oil tasted clean (not old dark coloured) and just the right amount of batter and sauce. We had the 'Pelicana' and 'Hot Spicy' flavours and both were amazing. Price is a little high but it's really good chicken. We went around 9pm and service was good. I would happily go again.

We had a whole chicken, half original and half super hot devil v2. Be prepared for the heat. I think this is the hottest fried chicken in Melbourne. Come early as it gets busy with the rush, delivery's ducking in and out, and tables taken early. The atmosphere reminds me of Korea, cool hip hop music and a cozy drinking environment. One of the best Korean fried chicken I've had in Melbourne. The brand "Pelicana" is known to every household in Korea and has almost 40 yrs experience. It didn't let us down ever since our first bite. We ordered their signature "Pelicana marinated chicken" for a taste. The chicken was moist and plump, and it was fairly priced. They're serving alcohol now so it's definitely worth going for a late-night cheat meal when hanging out with friends.

Not sure why there is a 1.5% surcharge sign up on a Sunday, seems strange and the chicken isn't cheap either ($20 for half chicken) so this isn't something to choose for a cheap evening out. Dined here last week. Ordered teokkboki and half garlic half spicy fried chicken. The fried chicken was delicious one of the best I have had here in melbourne. Teokkboki was nice but serving was small compared to other fried chicken places with similar price. The main negative that really almost ruined the experience was the side dish of radish. You need a good radish with fried chicken especially if you are eating spicy chicken. The radish tasted so bad.
