Thank you Mez for an awesome authentic Italian dining experience! A full house and amazing atmosphere. Mez was working her little toosh off giving great service along with her family and staff too. Rocca cooking the most delicious pizzas. Lots of pasta dishes to choose from and all your other favs. House made wines. All finished off with the yummiest Tiramasu. Next time I'll jump on a train because Rocca's is located right opposite the Blackburn station..no drinking and driving or parking worries. I also like how thought has gone into the arrangement of tables for 2 away from the larger tables and groups. The booths look like fun.

Dropped in for a quick meal and was very glad we did. A lovely new interior and very friendly welcoming staff made our visit a pleasure. Authentic wood fired pizzas at a reasonable price were delicious and we will definitely be back to sample some more... Highly recommended... 😋

An amazing authentic italian dining experience. Delicious wood fired pizzas. Great selection of pastas and all your favourites. House made wines. Impeccable service from the family and staff. Love how the tables for 2 were separated from the louder larger tables. Located across the road from the Blackburn station, no drink driving or parking worries. I'll definitely be back to try more on the menu. ...and more tiramasu Yummm!😋

I came here for lunch and I had a great experience. Food was delicious, I had a bruschetta and lamb cutlets. The bruschetta was fresh, I loved the avocado cream, and the lamb was very rich in flavour and so tender it melted away while eating. My mouth is watering again if I think about that lamb! Very authentic, simple, Italian cuisine, I will be back!

Keen for an early dinner my partner and I were ecstatic to find Rocca's had a table free at 5pm. Staff were attentive, and we chose to sit inside as the outdoor seating had traffic noise. Inside was very peaceful and cool. The menu is extensive although the font is a little hard to read, but staff are readily available to answer questions. We ordered the Mushroom Gnocchi & the Tartufata Pizza to share. The food came out so quickly we needn't have worried about the covid time limitations. Both were delicious and we could see them making the pizza in the pizza oven behind us. I noticed a previous reviewer has complained about the burnt crust, but in my opinion it added to the taste, and is unavoidable in a traditional wood fired oven. Forgot to take a pic until the pizza was nearly finished. Left very full (had to put the gnocchi in a container). Will definitely be back.

First time visiting Rocco’s last night with family, so much of my brother bragging about their food, got to try it to witness it. And I have to agree that Rocca’s take their food seriously and also their table service is quick, friendly and actually makes you feel at home, there isn’t many restaurant that let you feel homely. You can see that they are all working as a team, supporting one another while still having fun and smiles on their faces. I love the simplicity and yet thoughtful menu put together. They asked for feedback while checking in and make sure we are happy. Overall experience was definitely a 5 star. Will definitely look forward for my next experience.

Rocca's pizzas are delicious. I've ordered from them before and always been really happy. Tonight, through no fault of their own, my order was unable to be delivered. Their customer service was fantastic. They offered me a delayed delivery or a refund. They were helpful and efficient. Communication was perfect.

Amazing food!! It was very noisy, but that's to be expected on a very busy Friday night. The staff went above and beyond to look after us and kept us informed of any delays (of which there was only one). The food must be tried, especially the rib eye! Next time we'll book early and request a booth down the side where it's quieter, but it could fast become a new favourite when I visit my sister and her family in Blackburn.

We had a group of 8 people who came to eat at this restaurant we were all happy with their services. The waiter who waitered on us was prompt and took our order down all correctly he is an awesome waiter and polite. The good experience we had was above excellence my family and friends were amazed with this restaurant. I have always had an issue digesting pizza, in other places but today the capricciosa pizza that I ordered I had no issues digesting it was so light on my stomach I was totally surprised. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming and the food was all fresh. Thank you to the owner and staff who waited on us for the great job you have done for us. I would recommend people who are looking for pleasant service, comfortable environment and Top quality food I will recommend this Restaurant to anyone.

5 stars for Phenomenal pizzas, we ordered the Genovese and Margherita for pick up. Italian sausage on the Genovese was top quality and both pizzas had a generous amount of toppings and mozzarella. The pizza bases here are incredible - beautifully cripsy, thin base and perfect texture and most importantly, no burnt edges or base. I'm super impressed and this place will definitely be our go to for Italian!

The best local Italian restaurant!!! The food was fantastic and very flavourish!!!!!Also they have lovely staffs to serve and cosy interior design. The pizza was crispy and warm on the top toppings and the chips for kids were decent amount of food. Even kids meal was tasty and it has good portion!! What a great place for an amazing Italian meal. Friendly staff and great food at reasonable prices. We had a party of 10 and they looked after us all night. The owners take pride in their restaurant, and it shows. Centrally located in the heart of the Blackburn shopping precinct. Plenty of parking just nearby. Highly recommend this restaurant.

DELICIOUS AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD If you want a delicious meal, this restaurant is a must. Meals are massive, pricing is very good. I had an entrée serving of eggplant parmagiana oh heaven so delicious & a huge piece. For mains I ordered off the specials menu Tagliatelli porcini (Mushroom tagliatelle). All pasta is homemade & you can taste the freshness in the pasta. This meal was quite big too. I couldn't fit anything else in though I really wanted to try a dessert or 2. Next visit. You certainly get decent servings & service is fantastic. Husband ordered chicken parmagiana & it is HUGE! SERIOUSLY HUGE. 2 people could eat this meal. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DINING HERE.

Went the last night for anniversary celebration. Atmosphere was great, customer service was nice. David, the person who served us was fantastic. He was very attentive and funny. We had their signature pizza and homemade eggplant. They were great. Not to mention, their chef’s special Lasagna was absolutely amazing. We will definitely come back to try their food. Good place to recommend if you want something cozy and easy going.

Best pizza maybe in the area, love the base, really beautiful, l would say the best base in the eastern suburbs, a really great place in or take away, one day l will try the pasta, but the pizza, its hard to change. The only downside is that you need to eat with a knife and fork as the base is not firm, (my pizza was one from their menu with no extras).But really tasty.

Amazing as always. The food is delicious and excellent portions. The staff are incredible, very friendly and helpful. Popped in on a Monday night with my wife. Really welcoming staff and great atmosphere. We were amazed by the selection of pizza (over 40 excluding the desert pizzas) and had such a hard time choosing until one of the wait staff (turns out one of the owners and a master dough thrower) saved us. Amazing gourmet style wood fired pizza, and perhaps one of lightest tastiest crusts I’ve ever had. Its pricey, but the ingredients are top quality, and they take great pride in their food. Looking forward to our next trip. Possibly the best pizza in Melbourne.

We tried this place by take out first. As the pizza were good, we decided to give it a try. We didn't book as it's vivid 19 season and were early birds 🤣. We eat early. The place doesn't feel warm and comfy but rather modern and sleek. The waiter was Italian and I love babbling in Italian. We had a pizza and as the take out was good,thr eat in was delicious. This time we tried pudding, I had the panacota and my hubby had the tiramisu. Now, I'm not a tiramusu person and to my surprise, this was the best tiramisu I've ever had. Only had some sauce but omg tasted like heaven. Maybe next time, I'll only have that tiramisu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I rarely leave online reviews, but the food here was amazing. I had one of their specials today which was the purple gnocchi, which was sensational. I also had one of their chocolate desserts similar to a fondant with chocolate sauce in the centre, which they made from scratch and again, it was amazing. Also, the atmosphere was great and the wait staff were very friendly as well. This is my new favourite restaurant in Blackburn and will definitely be going back here.

First time here yesterday for a family function. Food was truly wonderful, reminiscent of my nonna's cooking. Made with love! Pasta is fresh and made by hand, pizza's were also very tasty with a lovely crispy base and little burnt tinge from the wood fire. What I loved most are the staff, many of whom are from Italy from the Campania region where my family comes from so that added a very authentic and homely experience for me. I highly recommended Rocca's, probably the best Italian experience in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Definitely will be coming back! Grazie mille ragazzi, ottimo capolavoro. Auguri alla prossima!

We had the meatballs and calamari for entree along with the Napolitana pizza. Absolutely delicious and very authentic. I also tried the Reggio Calabria pizza - the base was wonderful and the topping was just enough and full of flavour. For main, we had pumpkin tortelli and beef tortelli - beautifully presented, al dente with delicious sauce. Finally, for desert, the house tiramisu was presented differently but effectively and awesomely genuine. Also had some cannoli which was also scrumptious. The staff were all wonderful, attentive and kind. Would definitely go again, and again, and again.
