Comments of Sakura Kaiten Sushi II
J. L.
Sakura is probably one of the better sushi trains we've been to.
The sushi is so yum and fresh.
Missed the five star mark because the service felt super rushed. We didn't get a chance to interact with staffs or ask any questions.
Unlike other sushi places, there was no ginger to take. We had to ask the staffs and they returned with two packages.
We ate about $100+ worth of sushi, so it did feel a bit stingy of them to only give us two.
The experience would've definitely been better with friendlier service.
I recommend this place for great food though.
M. K.
Now my favourite sushi train in Melbourne. Everything is delicious, fast and reasonably priced for the quality. Definitely recommend.
N. T.
Cheap sushi train but you definitely sacrifice a bit of the quality.
Better value for money from Tokui Sushi a few metres down the road.
However for the sushi train experience, it’s an easy recommendation. Nothing truly stand out though.
M. P.
Always has a good services and top quality of food. Fish never has a bad smell. Staff always nice and friendly. Very recommended this restaurant.
T. R.
It’s a fun little sushi train restaurant. The deliver of iPad order comes in a London style bus. And you pick up the food arrives in front of you. Then you press the button to acknowledge and the bus returns to the station.
The soy sauce however, was super salty and doesn’t taste very soy sauce (Japanese). Some of the sushi on the train did not have a cover to protect the food. Just not sure how hygienic that is. And not sure why some do have a cover and some don’t.
For the environment, I think it’s pretty average, it’s a very small sushi train restaurant and also needed a bit of renovation. It’s often very full and queues at the door. Service wise, I think they are very friendly and attentive. Overall food quality is still good.
They do not take Amex here and do have 10% surcharge on Sunday and public holiday.
D. B.
The soft shell crab 🦀 was crunchy to perfection. I also enjoyed the salmon ikura gunkan.
A. V.
The food tastes amazing and you can order it fresh from the ipad in front of you as well. It is a bit more pricey though then other sushi trains I've been to, but you won't be dissapointed in food quality and variety. You can ask for fresh wasabi instead of taking the packet wasabi on the sushi train. Overall though, a great place to dine at but the place is quite small
B. M.
Amazing sushi train, excellent variety and good quality fish. It can get very busy so go early if you can. Staff are super friendly and polite plus wearing masks which is nice.
Only down side is that a small number of items on the train are not covered by plastic domes.
d. d. w.
Great place to experience lots of options of authentic Japanese sushi with reasonable price. You can see how I enjoyed my latest visit from my stacked plates 😁
B. L.
After 1 year, finally come to Sakura Kaiten again! Luckily we went there early around 3pm, no wait needed. Good food as usual!
R. W.
One of the best in Melbourne. Love the combo of the train and ability to order from your phone using the QR code, but you don't have to pay using your phone, it's just added to the table. I wouldn't recommend for big groups of more than 4. Would recommend.
H. L.
So good! Will definitely come back to this place, despite pricey dishes
C. C.
Love the train system to get fresh food. Was really enjoyable and dine in was nice.
S. T.
A lovely meal and sushi 🍣 location. A Bit light on drink quantity.
M. T.
My favourite Sushi train place in Melbourne. They offer great variety, sushi is always fresh and when you order off the menu, a double decker bus delivers it. On the pricey side though but worth it for the quality.
R. S. (.
Unagi was okay. Salmon was fresh. Price is little bit on top. Wish there were more option. Fast service.
S. Y.
I love the variety and the freshness of the ingredients, it brings me back to Japan everytime I visit. Awesome experience, highly recommended!
D. L.
Had Saturday night dinner here. It’s a busy sushi train that has an okay variety of dishes to choose from. The staff are friendly and always busy. Definitely a good place for casual and fairly affordable dinner. The anime pieces add a unique touch.
E.
Good location and average foods.
Not too bad. Some of sushi were fine but most of sushi were just kinda disappointed. But when you try Japanese foods outside of Japan, it is almost impossible to find the authentic level.
All the Japanese staffs were super friendly and helpful. And Japanese music was good.
H. H. N.
I and my friends have come here dozens of times. I was extremely impressed by their food and customer service. The food was sometimes not the best, but we appreciated their calm and friendly service.
Last week we came here, not sure if we did something wrong that upset the staff, but they were quite cold and unfriendly. We were given only 1 hour section, which was OK but not the way they used to run. We planned to leave on time, but the food we ordered was delivered later than expected, so we were late for around 5 minutes.
One of the staff reminded us, not so kindly and the other one rushed us to get out of the restaurant to make space for the other waiting customers. OK it was our fault for not "planning" more carefully and wasting a few minutes of the shop, and I'm a bit dramatic here, but I really miss the calm atmosphere they used to provide that allowed us to enjoy the food .
J. D.
Walked in and they immediately put us into a table even though they were busy. They told us we had an hour to dine in as they consistently have other customers waiting. I have been wanting to go here as I've seen many people lining up just to get in especially at night. They have many selection of sushis and other dishes, the Ipad provided was also very handy! Good place to go to for a quick bite and the staffs were also very helpful if you had any concerns or questions.
N.
This place is great. Staff are very friendly, the food tastes great. And considering I got alot of expensive plates, everything was still affordable for two people.
10/10 would recommend for a late night eat.
I listed some of my favourite dishes in the photos I took.
E. W.
Melts. In. Your. Mouth. The sushi has great fish to rice ratio. Pricey but who doesn't deserve a treat every now and then?
R. “. M.
One of the best sushi trains I've been too. Everything has so much flavour and super fresh too. Highly recommend coming here!
J. S.
I love love love conveyor belt sushi.. and when I became aware about this place, I had to try it.
Considering that this place is generally packed, it's best to book ahead.
We were greeted by a friendly staff, who took us to our little table facing the kitchen. You might be put off by this, but trust me when I say that this makes ordering stuff from the menu even faster! They do have a train that delivers the food right in front of you, but this location let you have things much faster!!
Anyways, we found most of the things we wanted on the bell, but we also ordered stuff from the menu: Fresh Oyster with Ponzu sauce, Wagyu Tataki with garlic Ponzu sauce, miso soup. We loved everything that we had.
Highly recommended place if you ever want to experience conveyor belt sushi.
Z.
Very tasty and fresh sushi! One of the best sushi trains in Melbourne. I love how good their grilled salmon and also unagi are 🥰🥰 I’ve included the prices of sushi too in my picture.
S.
Really good sushi train joint, little bit pricey only found out the prices after asking and above the sushi train it's pretty dusty.
L. L.
Top notch of sushi. Very friendly staff. I’m surprised to have such sushi in Melbourne.
The chefs are from japan and they try to make authentic Japanese style and mixing in some type of sushi fitting people taste in Melbourne as well.
It might be a bit expensive if you are considering eating sushi in japan
But this is Melbourne, I’ll say it’s a fair deal
C. H.
Consistently fabulous food that always tastes fresh and delicious. We love the diversity of dishes on the train, and the quality of the fish is very good. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. The only downside for us is the loud music which can get a bit tiring as time goes on, and the stools are not terribly comfortable/
K. K.
I’ve been wanting to eat at this place for a long time now and every time I came to eat here, it was so busy and a line outside of people waiting to go in. I was shopping and was a little bit hungry so decided to go and see if it was busy or not... to my luck it was busy but we end up getting a table and their food collections was decent and amazing food. The staff were very friendly and helping out in which ever way they could. Service was also great and if you haven’t been here before, we’ll you better go and suss it out hahaha that’s if you get in 😝
C.
Unexpected Japanese kaiten experience in an ordinary shoplot along busy Lonsdale Street. Cozy atmosphere with bar seating. Kaiten sushi train filled with various tantalising sushi priced at $4.80, $5.80 or $6.80. A bit more pricey if compared with those chains brand. But the quality and portion size worth the values totally!Must-try kaiten sushi place!
M. b. H.
For some reason sushi trains for dinner is so relaxing, no fuss, choose what you what to eat, no wait and delicious food. This place fit in at the right time for a busy SAT afternoon. The Dragon Ball Tazos and figurines was like a slap of nostalgia for us. Great place, relaxed and kicked back, awesome selection and attractive presentation. Only minor point for us would just be the prices, a minor concern but an overall great experience.

D. F.
Great selection of fresh local and imported seafood. They have daily specials which gives you the opportunity to try something different.
Tables come fitted with ipad screens which allows you to order freshly made sushi which comes to you on a small make shift london bus.
Like others have said the pricing is a bit on the high end however i felt it was worth the experience.
Decor was nice; definitely a dragon ball fanclub restaurant, with alot of models and stickers from the manga.
M. R.
Very tasty fresh food. Loved the salmon and eel. Thick enough slices to taste! Prices are very reasonable too. Only complain was the lack of variety. Would have loved to try something different.
A.
Lovely food, great sushi train experience and any issues we had was caused by our own incompetence.
P.
A friend actually had recommended me to go a while back. I’ve been to the one in Little Collins a while ago, but haven’t been there for ages. Finally we gave it ago today. It was fun, tasty and fast! They’ve got a small machine on your table for you to order some specials that won’t be on the ‘train’ as well as some drinks (alcohol). Your order will come on a ‘bus’ it was pretty cool :) It’s pretty hard to find a good sushi train these days, this one definitely one of the good ones. You might have to wait for a bit during lunch hours, definitely not a long wait. Good value of money. Would be back for sure :)
S.
Still the best in town but not as good as it used to be. The increasing mayonnaise presence in their sushi is disappointing.
M. C. #. (.
Awesome place to eat sushi and Japanese food, the sushi is on sushi rail is fantastic place to enjoy with your family and friends!!!
A.
Fresh sushi dishes provided by very friendly staff who always carried a smile well.
Cosy and relaxed atmosphere, this low stress environment is great even if you're new to sushi and sushi trains. You won't be pressured or feel uncomfortable here.
Quality of food and ordering process was outstanding.
However, it is a little on the price side here, your dishes will add up and so will your bill!
J. L.
Great food, but they miss an ark shell in my takeaway order.
P. H.
Very tasty sushi. Sushi train was an awesome experience and has very good safety against COVID. The plates were a little bit confusing.
K. Y.
Food is on a rollercoaster sushi train, you can ride on the back of the sushi chef for $500.95 cents. Anime fans will like the place bc of Dragonball Tazos.
裴.
delicious, worth waiting☀️
C. Y.
It’s my favourite sushi train in Melbourne ! Sushi and sashimi are fresh with lots of options and variety! Yummy 🤤
D. B.
Great Sushi! Amazing experience. Lovely train set-up for the freshly made food items.
李.
Yummy food and friendly staff, small but nice environment. Highly recommend the Unagi Maki and Tako Nigiri. :D
O. K.
Best sushi in melbourne. I go there whenever I need to refresh my feelings or I need good food. It is understandable that their sushi is a bit expensive than other sushi shops, worth it! Tuna belly, salmon belly👍🏻
A. P.
Sushi on the pricier price but you will get the quality! Wasabi is not the authenthic wasabi but that is fine. Salmon is fresh! Ambient is nice!

Wow! Amazing sushi restaurant. I liked the sushi train which added authenticity. Slightly expensive but considering the quality, it's very fair. A huge selection to choose from (and you can easily order specifically what you want using ipod infront of you!) :) Absolutely loved Grilled Scallop Nigiri and Grilled Yellowtail Nigiri with Miso sauce. They just melted in my mouth. Highly recommend!
N. K.
When I want to eat good sushi I come here. Sakura Kaiten has the widest range of sushi, and this is not because of the toppings they put on top like other restaurants. Some restaurants cover their sushi in mayonnaise and call it unique, but this place offers a wide selection of fish (the biggest I’ve seen) and even has fish imported from Japan.
Amazing food aside, this place has a unique atmosphere from normal sushi train restaurants. They have a food delivery system which partially replicates family sushi trains in Tokyo, with a double decker bus delivering your special orders from your ipads. If you are a fan of dragon ball z, so is the owner. You can find many figurines and dbz decor.
Fresh fish, good atmosphere and attentive staff.
G. O.
Variety of menu includes fresh sashimi and gunkan
But no ginger no tap water no cover the plate
I saw the fruit fly on the sushi.
S. L.
The food was fantastic. The service was quick and efficient. I loved the Hojicha ice cream. 😄
D. M.
Nice enough place with a great range of dishes on its train (and more available for direct ordering), but the food was pretty ordinary for the prices - which are not cheap. The rice in particular fell apart instead of sticking together the way sushi rice normally does.
A. L.
First time to a sushi bar and sushi train and we loved it! There are clear explanations on little cards as to what is going around on the moving belt and you basically just help yourself. You can also order items off their iPad menu and this comes belting along the top and stops by your seat. All the dishes are on little plates which are of a certain colour and your server will collect the plates up at the end and add them up according to colour. The same goes for the drinks, you order it and the server will give you a coloured plate. Even if you are not too adventurous, there is something there for everyone and it is really worth at least having a go once. It has a great vibe about the place and a fab start to an evening out in Melbourne. The place is clean, the staff are really friendly and we would love to come back again when we are in the area.
J. D.
Taste better than any other sushi train in the city, a bit more expensive as well.
S. O.
Sushi was fresh and tasty, nice sushi train atmosphere, but slightly overpriced for the portion sizes.
A. T.
I liked Sakura Kaiten 1 better, sushi was still good but quite expensive.
A. K.
I was full of hopes and they were not fulfilled. The service in this institution is good. We were not served water, I'm not sure if this is provided in this institution. however, compared to all the other sushi trains I've been on, water is a free addition. prices are also higher than the average by ~2 dollars per plate. which is quite unusual, because the quality of some does not differ from the more budget places. salmon roe is unlikely to have anything to do with fish, but the sushi with tobiko was good. but the main thing that I wanted to note is the open sushi walking on the conveyor belt during the pandemic. It will be better if you will cover them all. in general, you can eat delicious food here, but I am unlikely to return here again :(
K. R.
I think we would have scored higher if we hadn't gone on a Sunday night. We queued so prob sat down to eat about 8pm and they close at 9pm. I really enjoyed the food but some of the sushi looked like it had been traveling on that sushi train for a while. But the staff were lovely. The atmosphere is great and I loved the whole sushi train thing. The woman sat opposite me ordered everything fresh and that's maybe the way to go if you arrive late on a Sunday. We are sushi train noobs!
J.
The salmon was so fresh! We came in at 9:39 so the store was closing, but they still let us in and apologised for no hot foods. We still enjoyed the sushi and they even gave us two steamed eggs so we could at least have some hot foods. Best service!
K. V.
I am a fan of sushi and I enjoy all the dishes here. Long queue and long waiting at peak hours.
N. F. T.
cute little sushi train restaurant located right between Melbourne central and Emporium.
the whole ambience can be described as cosy. been here a few times with mates, its better with smaller groups due to the limited space.
portions are pretty small which can add up to be a lot in the end but there was a great selection and all the sushi was fresh
M. L.
Absolutely delicious, got all my cravings floating along the train, and customer service was superb.
M. K.
Cute little place. Great range of sushi and sashimi.
T. C.
I had lunch at Kaiten sushi recently. I was pleasantly surprised to see smiling faces, fresh food & busses which deliver food to the table.
Let me explain that last one..
When you order food off the menu, rather than choosing off the train, there is a delivery bus who drives along little tracks, just above the sushi train. The bus arrives at your table, you get your food, then press a button to send the bus back. A practical novelty.
Delicious food, friendly staff, cool bus.
Will be visiting again.
L. G.
Good, but kind of expensive.
G. R.
Good quality sushi. A little bit pricey but not bad to go once in a while. I recommend the Bonito Sashimi.
H. C.
Waited in line for a while and finally got in for these. Was amazing experience but didn’t get to stay as long as we wanted since other people were waiting outside lol 😂
M. L.
Would recommend Sakura Kaiten to anyone who loves sushi!
I would say my this is probably my faovurite sushi train in all of Melbourne.
It can get a little cramped inside but if you get your own table then it's not an issue.
It is a little pricey compared to the other sushi trains in Melbourne but the food is always fresh and the staff are friendly and courteous.
M. T. G.
No line to get in, great food and some dragon ball z stuff in there too!
M. Z.
Friendly staffs and nice food, please try
👉grilled scallops nigiri!!
👉salmon belly sashimi
P.
Been coming here for years. Friendly staff, organised, quick and tasty food! Keep up the good work. Thanks!
H. L.
Baby squid sushi so good!
l. s.
I love to stop by when I'm busking and grab myself a handroll
C. M.
It's the only sushi train in Melbourne city that I would ever recommend to anyone. The sushi is fresh, they have a large assortment of different raw delicacies and it's bloody delicious.
Y. W.
For me, this is the best sushi restaurant in the CBD! I know the price per plate can be quite expensive but it's worth it!
The sushi is really fresh and delicious.
There is a sushi train + iPad ordering system so you can always get those special ones not on the conveyor belts.
Highly recommended if you like sushi
J. D.
Love the variety! Constantly visiting but bad for my budget because I end up overindulging! Great flavours, the salmon ikura flower is my favourite along with the fluke fin.
V. Z.
Salmon belly is the best. Amazing food, highly recommended !
L. S. (.
Still great as always. Support your local restaurants! Photo attached is the only thing left after I ate all the sushi 😁
S. B.
Great food but very small portions, trick to end up more plates. Average spent between 35 -45 bucks peradult. Wasabi is terrible cheap imitation almost all four of us choke of somesort of wicked green slimy mustard. To order hot water to clear off that ridiculous after taste wasabi is impossible unless pay 3.80 bucks for hot green tea percup.
Tight seating due to location, suits young couples or mates. The sushi train looks pretty fun and cute overall. Icecream mochi is a real deal though not those Chinese made type. Definitely Japanese near quality we tried.
A. W.
Good sushi train. There's almost always a line so be prepared to wait
E. J. L. C. &. C.
I had a wonderful meal here. Great quality food, nicely done and some tasty cocktails.
Would definitely go back for more great sushi train adventures again!
W. W.
Selection here is always broad and features seasonal offerings too.
Rice is well seasoned, fish is fresh. Price is higher, but you get what you pay for- authenticity.
J. L.
Outstanding. Brilliant Japanese sushi train in little Collins and Lonsdale sts. Fresh, quick, great value and really fun. Great for kids who dig sushi- a la carte ordering available too. Must do when in Melbourne. 7 stars
J. W.
My favourite Sushi train at the moment! You can't go wrong here. Food is delicious and fresh, prices are standard for sushi trains and the staff, vibe and order service is great.
Y. Y.
An OK sushi restaurant. The rolls are pretty small in size.
J. S.
Nice Sushi train, fun little London buses whizz down to deliver your special orders. Unlike the other Sushi Trains we visited that day there was no queue.
C. P.
I love this place! Very authentic and love the homemade lemonade
O. G.
Happy with food except some hygiene issues (maybe very common in summer weather)
j. l.
Delicious food, awesome service, very fast food preparation when you order through the tablet. Awesome place
R. B.
It’s just a normal sushi train place.
Nothing special about it.
The place was too dark.
T. A.
Love this place as a meeting spot for myself +1. They have a sushi train and a great selection of menu items that will satisfy anyone looking for a treat. It is reasonably priced, especially for the location. It is in the heart of Melbourne, between Melbourne Central and across the Rd is the entrance to Emporium.
If you are craving a quick snack and don't have too many people with you (+3 max). Then you will enjoy this little gem. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is very cool inside and rather traditional.
H. W.
Absolutely one of the best sushi/sashimi in Melbourne. Absolutely amazing! They have some really special dishes like deep fried oysters, drilled chess salmon and etc. Sashimi is so fresh and really high quality. Really miss it. It’s been so long now.
S. L.
Great sushi, get in early before dinner time or else you'd need to wait for sometimes. But this sushi train is legit 👌🏾 would highly recommend it if you are nearby.
A. B.
Came here 3 days ago with my fiancé and a new friends we made in Melbourne. Our friends recommended this place as they’re local and regulars. The sushi was outstanding and had a huge variety. Keep up the great work guys. Would recommend highly
N. F.
I love this place! Absolutely the best sushi train place in Melbourne.
Look no further is you're searching for a sushi train restaurant within Melbourne, seared Nigri is great and raw fish is great.
Staff are okay but since it is a self service sushi train, this does not matter too much.
A. E.
I absolutely love this place, to me it reminds me of when I visited japan. Its little and cute has the double decker train that will also bring you your order. Staff are extremely efficient, lovely and so helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a more traditional type of sushi train like something you would fine in japan, go here! You will not be disappointed.
B. C.
This place is pricey but it's so worth it.
You'd rarely find sushi belts with such an interesting array of food and at such high quality. The sushi train is an added plus and is cute.
Sushi is presented really well and I found myself staring at the belt many times with amusement(compared to boredom or a lack of choice).
Atmosphere and music give a really good chill vibe and would be the kind of place you'd take a date to.
Didn't dissapoint!
J. W.
Food is always delicious. A slightly different take on the sushi train concept, but certainly enjoyable. Venue is rather narrow and cozy, but certainly doesn't detract from the atmosphere or experience. Always a great place for a last-minute bite to eat. Note: make sure you get in early (or book) during peak dining times.
C. D.
Always love going to Sakura Kaiten Sushi II.
Their sushis are to die for. My all time fave is the scallop nigiri and for my husband he loves the Teriyaki Salmon roll. The cue is always long but it's worth the wait.
D. N.
Food is good. But be careful with the price! Serving proportion was too little comparing to the price tag, $240 (no drinks) for 3 people without a full tummy was a bit too much for that level of restaurant. Too many seatings to squeeze in too many customers, I couldn't sit straight otherwise I'd touch the one sitting next to me, and we're just average males, (1.7m, 75kgs)
You can enjoy much better food and service in some nearby upscale Japanese restaurants, and they were even more reasonable with their price tag.
A. W.
Fresh food and tasty!
J. D.
Quite a busy spot, and for a good reason. I had an excellent range of seafood, veggo and chicken dishes. Careful though, because those plates can stack up quickly. Prices are moderate, but it's kinda fun watching all the food go around waiting for your next bite. And best of all, you don't have to wait! Unless there's a Que at the door...haha
G. A.
Always fresh, wonderful selection. Great staff.
C. J.
Delicious food with quick service. Food ordered of the menu was fresh and hot! Great atmosphere, very clean and wonderful staff.
G. W.
My favourite sushi place in Melbourne! They're open doe takeaway still and I've been going regularly as my lockdown treat/pick-me-up.
C. P.
Beautiful fresh food on the pricey side. Eel is my favourite dish so I can only say it was beautiful especially when I did not have time to eat or drink much for almost 10 days. Time was constricted and I needed a friend to come with me. I hate shopping or shops without a buddy. Especially in the City. It's easy to get lost. 🙈 #eel
C. T.
in my 21 years i have never tried any form of sushi as i'm a very picky eater, i am so glad this was my first time. the food was brilliant, it was very authentic and the wait staff was awesome. a friend and i split the bill for the food and drinks which cost us $30 each which is really cheap seeing as how other restaurants wanted to charge $49 a head. really amazing and will totally go again :D arigato.
V. S.
Love coming here for a fun fresh sushi experience. Personally enjoy the anime decorations and sushi train experience. Staff is very pleasant and attentive. Sushi available at a reasonable price. Always a favorite!
l. l.
Service was quick and friendly and the food was of decent quality for the price.
E. P.
Can't recommend this place enough! have been 4 times now and the food has always been so fresh and delicious. Cosy environment and friendly staff. Went yesterday for Easter lunch and walked out with very full bellies. My husband, little boy and I can't wait to return. My son LOVES ordering from the iPad and having his food delivered directly to him on an overhead bus. :)
K. L.
This is our go-to kaiten-sushi restaurant in Melbourne. I visited last night with my two kids who are half Aussie, half Japanese. My 9 year old was very impressed and commented that it reminded him of being in Tokyo, and I agree with him. While there are a growing number of kaiten-sushi places in Melbourne now, this one feels more like a casual and authentic place in Tokyo. Food is fresh, chefs are skilled, service fast, and prices reasonable. A good range of Japanese Drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
The Restaurant is frequented by a diverse range of people, and feels more “down-to-earth” than their the other Kaiten-Sushi 1 Restaurant in Little Collins St. This may be partly due to proximity to Lonsdale Street Pedestrians/Traffic (it’s definitely noisier than the Collins St Restaurant) but honestly, we feel that just adds to the atmosphere! :)
We’ll be back.
Y. C.
The best sushi train in Melbourne. Great sushi quality and service! The salmon belly sashimi is really awesome. We just spent our 5th anniversary there and we had a great time.
A.
Much better than other shops with many branches
H. A.
This place looks cheap and nasty, but really delivers.
Comparing to other places jn the range like sushi jiro, Sakura presents more variety and inspired dishes with higher average quality of the food presented. I would understand the aesthetic is not for everyone, this is aided by the use of imported goods. Worth a try for anyone who is even remotely interested.
W. W.
Incredibly fresh sushi with a quality unmatched by most sushi trains in Melbourne. However, also has a price tag to match with sushi priced significantly higher than the average sushi train. If quality is what you're looking for, highly recommended
R. R.
Service is friendly, awesome variety of sushi, all of it is very fresh, an exquisitely made.
K. T.
A delicious sushi train place located right between Emporium and Melbourne Central. Prices are a tad pricier than normal sushi train places but the quality of sushi is pretty darn good! If you go after 8 on weekdays, you'll definitely get a spot, I imagine it can get quite packed during the lunch or dinner rush. The spicy salmon nigiri is so good!
M.
Good service, great food
B. T.
Best Sushi train in Melbourne!! My favourite.
B. Y.
The food is good, but there was a customer talking really loud with lots of swearing. Waiters should remind her of dining etiquette.
N. H.
Fantastic Sushi Train restaurant. Probably my favourite in Melbourne. Love the express double decker bus for a la carte items too.
X. S.
Great authentic Japanese taste!
C. C.
Very authentic, quiet even when it’s crowded, staff greet you when you enter and thank when you leave. The sushi is fresh and there is a wide variety on the train at all times.
J. B.
A great hidden location to show off some knowledge of hidden places in Melbourne to friends or family. You can eat or just drink. It's not a huge spot so you may find it hard to get a spot to sit or may not even be able to get in if they're busy.
Swing by to try out some Japanese sake or umeshu or just have classic cocktails.
A. H.
One of my favorite sushi places in Melbourne!! Fish is fresh and great selection, never been and the train was repetitive! Don’t hesitate
T. H.
Miss this place a lot since we moved away. Such fresh, high quality, delectable food, i have yet to find a sushi train restaurant that beats Sakura.
It is pricey, but for this quality, it's worth it! Love it!
m. l. w.
Love love love.. Good menu.. Quick service
S. S. L.
There is no service, the food is good though.
M. G.
Great sushi! Fast service by ordering on iPad, excellent range. Food on the train is fresh too. Good value for money.
c. w.
The price is kind of high however it does has some rare things in Melbourne like the fattest tuna(toro), urchin ship roll. Sakura uses creams and sause on its Sushi frequently, the flavor is far from the original sushi but is also acceptable.
B.
Quality food, friendly service, so much to choose from, plus can order as required, easy to eat yourself into a large bill though.
M.
Great variety of sushi. Fast friendly service. Highly recommend!
A. D.
Pretty good. Sushi rolls were nice, fried food was a little heavy. Gets busy and quote cramped so arrive early
M. P.
So fresh very yummy. Highly recommend.
G. J.
Tried numbers of different sushi. Tasty, clean, excellent Japanese food. Cant wait for the next visit.
J. P.
Like a normal kaiten sushi shop in Melbourne centra.

S. C. (.
Great sushi train and bus 😊👍
M. J.
Great quality food. Way better than sushi hub! Da bomb! The drinks were amazing as well. A little expensive but really worth it!!
O.
Atmosphere is casual and cozy.
Variety of food is quite wide from Sushi(of course!) to handmade ice cream and Ramen.
What's the fantastic is you can find small 'Dragonball' world here and there ^^
Pretty nice place for both western and eastern.
L. K.
Seriously good!
I accidentally found this place, but this place became must go place. Sushi is made exceptionally yet price is so reasonable. Love love~~♡ that place.
A.
Good fresh food made to order or off the sushi train. Been here multiple times and it never fails to dissapoint!
A. H.
Love the soft shell crab hand rolls and just by itself. Other dishes are ok.
J. R.
Food is amazing, brought right next to you in true sushi train style. Can also order anything on the menu through the iPad
M. L.
Good food and efficient/friendly staff members. I LOVE this place! Also the COVID rules are very well applied.
A. B.
I just love this place, been here twice in the last week. The snapper was really fresh at the time. Don't forget to play the games on the pad..we won free icecream!!
A. W.
Vibrant and quirky. Food is always delicious. Definitely my go to sushi train in the city.
W. W.
Tasty food, service could be better but understandable because it was insanely busy when I was there.
s. r.

K. C.
Probs one of the best sushi train I've had in Melbourne CBD
V. M.
Loved the quality of the sushi and the way orders came direct to me over the top of the regular conveyor belt 👍
L. K.
Closest thing to an authentic sushi joint I’ve come across in Melbourne. Ambience, food, wait staff - all top shelf 👍🏻
L. W.
Very expensive but good quality
S. R.
Still the same staff from the old shop, but some of their best dish is discontinued.
Y. P.
All the foods were fresh and nice. Recommend here. (In my opinion group of 2-3 people would be good)
P. L.

L.

c.
pretty yum but pretty expensive
B. B. B.
Not as good as the first but still better than sushi hub and tetsujin. It's expensive as hell though, so apples and oranges situation.
J. B.
I'm convinced this is the best quality sushi train in Melbourne
L. Z.
Fun sushi train experience. Food is a bit pricey but you get quality ingredients and authentic tastes.
E. L.
Good variety for a sushi train. Sushi was fresh. But I find it really cramped
A. L.
Still one of the best...small cozy place so go early.
J. B.
Was pretty good. Sushi was tasty but seating and staff were awkward.
I. G. P.

K. S.
My go-to sushi train in Melbourne. Pretty decent quality and value.
R. C.
Excellent food
L. Z.
Great food but the quality is not stable. It would be better if some staffs can speak English
P. C. (.
The first choice when having a sushi mood! I usually had at least 10 plates of sushi every time lol
P. C.

The direct service train is a nice little gimmick. The store is usually so quiet too, which is a little bit of a shame
W.
Favourite place to eat sushi! Come here on weekdays to avoid the queue.
Y. B.
Way too expensive.
But great variety 😊
E. C.
Be prepared to wait in line outside (totally worth it)
