I just had to write a review because the food and service was so great! My partner and I were extremely satisfied with everything and will definitely be back. The pizza crust was delicious and the pasta was my favourite. Definitely found a gem that we will be frequenting.

I tried a Fungi Pizza and another Prawn and Chirozo Pizza. Both the pizzas were very nice. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I will visit again. The place offers dine in or take aways.

Scarpetta's has a really nice ambiance. There's a gorgeous garden wall and ceiling walking in, and the restaurant itself is sophisticated and nice. The menu had a good selection of things to choose from (though it did differ from their online menu, as they obviously don't update that a lot, so don't go there assuming what you might order in advance). The tables are very, very small, and the one next to us with only three people on it, struggled to have all of their plates in front of them with wine and water glasses too. We ordered entree, and considering how quiet they were, this took a very long time to come out. When it did, it was presented nicely and was exceptionally delicious. They didn't, however, replenish the cutlery that they took away, so when the mains came out, I had to lean over and take from another table. They were accomodating in menu substitutions and I found that very helpful. The meal was lovely, but next time I must try a pizza that everyone raves about. For dessert, I wanted the chocolate mousse, but they "ran out." Therefore they lost two sales for dessert since my friend didn't want to eat their dessert on their own. (Speaking of running out, the table next to us, wanted a bottle of red. Out of the six choices, they apparently were out of three of them). I was disappointed, because chocolate mousse is something that should always be on hand. When we asked for the bill, we were told to go to the counter up the front. They allowed us to split the bill in half, but we weren't shown the breakdown, so I'm hoping there were no mistakes on it. Parking is tricky, but it's worth giving it a shot, as even though the service was a bit lacklustre, the food was nice. I definitely want to try their pizza (providing they can still make the one on their website that I had in my head to try that wasn't on their actual menu). Would I rush back? No. But if I'm in the area and feel like Italian, Scarpetta's hits the spot for sure.

The place was clean and well maintained.. I tried their Arancini Balls and Chicken Risotto.. Arancini balls was crispy out and well cooked inside. But the Risotto was little bland.

Fantastic pizza but my gnocchi was a mushed up bowl of melted cheese. Couldnt see or taste any hint of gnocchi so requested a new bowl which was a little better. My daughter loved the kids olive oil and herb penne pasta.

I have now been to Scarpetta on several occasions and it has failed to disappoint. The service has been fantastic and the food is amazing. On one occasion I went with a very large group and the staff were very accommodating. Everyone loved their meals which included pizza, meatballs, pasta, lasagne and veal cutlets. The desserts are delicious as well. I will definitely continue recommending this restaurant. Well done to the new owners!

Lovely spot for dinner! This was suggested by the hair salon next door after our appointment. We live in Kew but will happily travel here again. The wait staff were friendly and the food was exceptional. Well worth the 5 star!

We needed to find a restaurant for a quick dinner this evening after taking part in an art show at Gasworks. We found Scarpetta! We both had their Lasagne. Served in cast iron hot pans..superb! Wish we had more time tonight but we will return.

Love Scarpetta! There were eight of us, friends catching up for dinner and Cameron and staff couldn’t have done any better. The hospitality and food was superb for a very reasonable price too. Not one of us had a bad word to say. BYO is an added bonus. A must go to restaurant especially in the coming warmer months. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Had a great Saturday evening meal after a wonderful afternoon in the city. Food was excellent, staff friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and specials, giving us great advice on our selections. The house white, a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc also very nice and balanced the meal really well. Looking forward to our next visit.

I have been here twice now. At first I treated this as the offspring of Ricardo's. Wrong. Scarpetta stands by itself. A great menu and wine list. The service is really good delivered by young and knowledgeable waiters. The food is delightful. Molly, do yourself a favour and dine here.

I am a local of Albert Park and I have been to many Italian restaurants in the area, but Scarpetta is by far the best out of them all. The gnocchi just melts in your mouth and the pizza's have so much flavour, and are thin based. Staff are very friendly and funny. The drinks are reasonably priced. Scarpetta is the new place to be. Scarpetta is "BUONISSIMO"
